Overall wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. The hotel is a little old, but it has a charm to it and a cute look. Parking was easy. Pool was under repair but we had the option to use the pool at the hotel nextdoor. I used to always stay at the disneyland hotel, but with the recent changes to early entry, I was looking elsewhere. This was an easy walk to the parks and considering it is on the opposite side of downtown disney, it is a similar distance to the disney hotels. I would stay here again. read more

Me and my wife were visiting California. We were going to Disneyland in Anaheim here. This place was recommended by our travel agent, so we agreed to check it out. When we walked in, we were greeted right away by Marc at the front desk. He was very professional and showed us around the area and told us where local shops and stores were. We were a 7 minute walk away from Disneyland too, which was great for the location. When we got to our room, it was very comforting and clean. Everything was very well maintained and unkept in the room. The beds were nice and soft and easy to fall asleep. Marc even offered us a complementary safety deposit box to store our valuables in at the front desk. It was very nice to know that they were secure during our day. Me and my wife were very happy with our stay and definitely would stay here again when we visit Disneyland in the future. If you're looking for a nice place just outside of Disney and want to save the money, definitely check out Castle Inn. You will not be disappointed. read more

Just a few blocks from Disneyland and they offer free parking for one car. It literally took me 6 minutes walking from the hotel lobby to the security check just before the entrance to the parks by Harbor. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean.rje rooms are spacious. When you read other reviews about the outdated look, yeah the hotel isn't modern, but I feel like the old looks fits the castle feeling, at the rooms are clean and don't smell old, so I think that is more important than the actual look. read more

I stayed at Castles Inn and Suites from March 20-21, 2026 while visiting Disneyland Resort with my minor child. What occurred during my stay raises serious concerns regarding guest safety, negligence, and failure to respond appropriately to an on-site injury. Shortly after check-in, I attempted to use the in-room coffee maker. I don't believe The unit had no visible on/off switch and appeared to activate simply upon being plugged in. When I began to add water, I observed visible calcium buildup and lack of cleanliness, indicating poor maintenance. I immediately unplugged the unit and attempted to rinse it. At that moment, the appliance malfunctioned, causing overheated water to forcefully discharge onto my left hand, resulting in a significant burn and an associated electrical shock. Following the incident, I experienced prolonged pain lasting several hours. I was forced to leave the property to obtain medical supplies on my own, as no first aid, assistance, or emergency response was offered by hotel staff. Upon reporting the incident, staff failed to conduct any meaningful assessment, failed to document the occurrence, and failed to provide even minimal duty-of-care measures. The only response given was to remove the coffee maker from the room. I remained in my room for the majority of the day managing the injury myself, which substantially disrupted my stay and impacted my ability to safely and fully care for and spend time with my child. At no point during the remainder of my stay--or at checkout--did any staff member follow up, express concern, or provide documentation of the incident. This situation reflects a failure in multiple areas, including: * Proper inspection and maintenance of in-room appliances * Basic guest safety standards * Staff training regarding incident response and injury protocols * Duty of care owed to guests An incident of this nature--resulting in both a burn injury and electrical shock--should never occur under reasonable operating conditions. Equally concerning is the complete lack of response, documentation, or escalation by staff once the incident was reported. This review is being documented publicly due to the seriousness of the safety risk and the absence of any meaningful resolution at the property level. I strongly advise management and ownership to review their safety protocols, equipment maintenance procedures, and staff training immediately to prevent harm to future guests. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property and would caution others regarding potential safety risks. read more

This place needs major renovation especially the dirty carpet in the rooms . My nephews feet were black from walking around the room . The elevator broke down so we had to walk all the way to the other side in order to go down from 4th floor . The uneven floor aisles make it hard to push your luggage through . The beds are small like full size more than queen sized. Not worth the money . Pay a little more and stay at the Anaheim hotel next door . The place is noisy too . 3 stars for closeness to Disneyland- everyone has a different standard on what type of hotels you would stay at. I am no means a picky and bougie person, but there are better hotels out there. Price was affordable, closeness to park was nice, but the hotel inside is a little run down. Think about old school hotel with really old carpet and furniture. Surprised it didn't smell like mold. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The staff was very nice during check in and they kept the premises clean. I would definitely choose another hotel next time. Might pay a little more, but at least the rooms would be more up to date and modernized. All of people hype this place us and I can see why. You're taking a very expensive trip to Disneyland- and paying outrages prices for a place you will only sleep can make a sense why people chose this place. Updating after our most recent stay: watch out for room 350!! If they give it to you, request something else. This room is the loudest hotel room we have ever stayed in. There was a leak somewhere, dripping on and off through the night. The sound of the elevator, the stairs was so loud. Somehow the plumbing from the room above was louder than when we ran the shower in our own room, elephants above us.... It was a rough room. The shower head was broken, it was stuck on full blast and wouldn't even adjust - it sprayed against the back wall of the shower and resulted in splashed water all around At about midnight I went and asked if we could change rooms in the morning... the guy said we could. In the morning, they sent us to a new room, but the key didn't work. After telling us we were using the key wrong, they came and checked... lo and behold, the room they gave us was occupied and the key didn't work. They found us another one, also vacant. The new room was much better. But my question is: if you had better rooms, why put us in the worst possible to begin with?! Why not the best possible to begin with? Anyway. I hope they figure out all the issues with room 350. I imagine this will keep happening. The rest of our stay after switching was comfortable... but will say, this was our third stay here and it was not as good as the first two. read more

Stayed the 1st week of December 2025 in the family 2 room suite... Cons: - smelled like sewer water -Toilet barely worked (handle would get stuck) - terrible shower/painful water pressure that shot out like a bullet. Outdated hot/cold faucets (separate and kids got burned) - no weather stripping on door/let air in. -humid/moist in room. Felt and smelled like a swamp. Seemed very mildewy. -electricity went out a couple times had to reset GFI breaker -uncomfortable beds - still have Covid protocols in place in 2025/26? Signs everywhere to wear masks/basket of masks in lobby. Signs to not have more than 4 people in elevator - very sketchy elevator Pros: -free parking -close to park -daily maid service We always stay cheap and have very low standards with our large family since we only use hotels near Disney for sleeping. We stayed at the Castle Inn and Suites during the first week of February, 2025. We have stayed here a few times and this hotel is set apart from the rest based on their service. The hotel itself is quite suitable, especially for a trip to Disneyland. It's clean and the location is within a 10 minute walk to the front gates. Additionally there is a Starbucks nearby and a couple drug stores which makes the location even better. We booked through a third party (the incomparable Get Away Today) and despite this, the hotel front desk staff was awesome. Sometimes when you book through a third party, the staff has an off-vibe. Not Castle Inn and Suites. In fact, we had to last minute change our reservation TWICE and they were so accommodating and worked with the travel agent beautifully. We are always happy to stay here when we come to Disneyland. read more

I've stayed here so many times in the past 10+ years. It was my go to hotel for all Disney related trips and work conferences. I hesitated to write a review due to my many years of "loyalty" to this hotel but after experiencing such high quality and cleaner amenities of near by hotels I decided to write a review of my last and final stay at castle inn. There were bugs everywhere. The moment I walked into my room there were dead bugs (I assumed cockroaches) laying on the floor. I called the front desk. A gentleman came by and immediately said "oh these aren't cockroaches!" (In a condescending tone) "these are beetles that come over here from the empty field! You know, field beetles!" He said they recently sprayed the common area outside and the bugs must have ran in and died in the room. Since I didn't examine the rest of the room I decided to take his word for it. Only a few minutes past and I noticed bugs everywhere, walls, windows, back of the room (we had a 1 bedroom family suite). I called the front desk again and a different person picked up the phone. I explained I just called for a bug problem but I was immediately cut off by the person at the desk who said "well what would you like us to do?" He explained that it was a busy week and there were no other rooms. I asked if they could at least have someone come by to vacuum and change all of the linens (we found 2 bugs on the bed). A woman came by to vaccum and when I asked if she was changing the sheets she said she want informed to do that (but she graciously did). At this point I started to examine every part of the room. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way (see attached photo), the bathroom vent was covered in dust (see photo), the bathroom towels were on rusty metal bars. I decided to talk to the front desk again. A nice woman again informed me they had no other rooms but could move my family into two standard rooms in 2 nights (I was there for 5 nights). I was then told that she could not guarantee that the rooms would be near each other (I had 3 small kids and my husband with me) and I wasn't sure if that would work but I told her to please let me know once she knows. She said I would get a call. After 3 nights and no call, I talked to the front desk. Another woman helped me who said she didn't see anything about moving my family and that there were no rooms available. We decided to just leave. I didn't bother trying to get the remainder of my trip refunded. We just packed up and left. That's how upset I was with the whole situation. I haven't been back. I went from staying here probably once a month for 2-3 years for work and once every few months for Disneyland for the past 10 years to never wanting to return. I've stayed at 4 other near by hotels and never had an issue with any type of bugs or beetles. To be fair, I never had an issue with bugs prior to my last stay here either but the amount of bugs I came across (constantly for the 3 nights) to the lack of customer service was disappointing. read more

Last minute spontaneous booking. Not usually the hotel we choose when staying at Disneyland, due to price. This would be my second time staying. I had extra money in the hotels.com account so we used it here to surprise my son. We stayed at a previous "castle" hotel that was horrible, so we stayed here to give new memories of a castle hotel. After reading other reviews, I agree the hotel is ran down for the price you pay. You are actually paying for the location. Castle theme or not, no reason for the over used carpet with holes in it. The colors are horrid and don't say castle to me. The outside needs to be repainted. The lobby was filled with scooters. A cubby for masks "if you forgot one" Along with all staff wearing masks. Mandate is over. The rooms are compact. Table to eat and chairs, table right by the door, TV, fridge, coffee maker. Not sure about a microwave though. Beds were hard as a rock. Thank goodness we were checking out the next day and goimg home, my husband and I could barely walk from our back pain we got from the beds. Also, there was no latch on the door. Just one lock, that when you turn the handle it unlocks and opens. My 1.5 year old learned that real fast. Being a hotel with children staying, might want to fix that. We used our stroller to place at the door. Upon checkout, I was told that now I have an account with the hotel, I can call directly and get a "much cheaper price". Not sure if we would want to return till its gotten a touch up that seems to be needed 10 years ago. UPDATE: Thank you reply, but the generic response about the "castle theme" colors and whatnot... what does that have to do with the peeling paint on the outside of the building? Fading paint and the tore up floor? Storing the scooters in your lobby doesn't make sense. Maybe have another area? It's insane the amount taking up the lobby. My room in fact did NOT have two locks or I wouldn't have had to chase my toddler outside numerous times. In fact, if Yelp would let me, I have a picture of the door. read more

The two stars is legit only for proximity to the parks. The door only had one lock, no top lock, the lock it had would unlock when you turn the handle, no child safety.... And morning light made its way through the door cracks (even being eastern facing), as well as through the windows. The room itself didn't have barely any insulation, we could hear the people above us and below us, people walking (quietly) to their rooms. There were bugs in the bathroom, the toilet barely flushed, and when it did it made a squealing sound. Looks like they did a landlord special, painting over the "small issues" in the bathroom. The bed sheets pilled and you could see they had accommodated many sleeps in their lifetime. The bed itself was hard, and they only give you a sheet for warmth. The ac, is only one temp, freezing or off. So you're cold during the night. The carpet is so old and gross, I wore my shower slides while being inside our room. The lobby is not welcoming, and all workers swear masks, and it's suggested that you wear a mask yourself, but they will turn down your rooms daily...? The pool/spa is not easy to get to, and is not advertised. Not sure i would stay here again, until they renovate. The proximity is the only good part. They also do not provide breakfast, which is huge for a family with kids. read more

It isn't a 5 star resort but as far as a hotel near Disneyland goes, it was perfect. Now as far as the staff goes...they are the reason that this location gets 5 stars. We got there early after a long morning of travel (plane, train, and bus). We got there expecting to be allowed to drop off our luggage (something they will do if your room isn't ready) but even though we were hours early, they allowed us to check in. They said they had a room ready so if we wanted to, we could check in. This was extremely nice and made the beginning of our vacation wonderful. Do not expect this to be normal as it could have been very lucky but the mere allowance of doing it was very courteous. The room itself was better than it needed to be for a Good Neighbor Disney hotel. The room was well maintained and had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The fridge became very useful when it came to quickly bringing back Disneyland leftovers from meals. Check out was really smooth and the staff was delightful then as well. I would never stay at this hotel again. It was very obvious that it was an old hotel and has never been renovated and has hardly even had routine maintenance done. The beds were horrible with paper thin blankets and the pillows were rock hard. We even asked the office if there were new pillows and they said they knew they were bad and they didn't have anything else. I will say that everything was clean and housekeeping did a great job but in our bathroom, there was a ton of paint peeling and just a lack of basic upkeep. The staff was very friendly and it did feel very safe. Overall, there are much nicer hotels in the area for a very similar price so I would not spend money on this one. read more

I can appreciate the fact that this place is super close to Disneyland and offered late checkout, however that was the only good part. The beds were way too firm (like feeling the boxspring hard) , the pillows were tiny and way too hard, almost like couch throw pillows . They don't put enough blankets on the beds, even with the heater on we were cold. The heater/cooler smelled liked mold when it was turned on. I had to go get an air freshener to disguise the smell. For the cost I expected at least a comfortable bed with comfortable pillows. read more

Me and my family booked this room in advance we arrived yesterday about 10:30 am and yes I called the day before, we wanted to drop the car off so that we can go enjoy our family day at Disneyland. The front desk were extremely helpful and awesome , they even stated that our room was ready, again their at 10:30 on Wednesday . So they asked if we wanted to check which we did , needed downstairs because we have a handicap in our family which they did. The beds needed an update but over everything experience was amazing , staff were very friendly and helpful. And Yes it's True parking was free and included. Yes it was a 7-10 min walk to the park. They also had close by Denny's and restaurants close by. So i highly recommend this place . They do have heated pool and jacuzzi. Thank you again Eric, for having great customer service. We have stayed at this hotel every time we visit Disneyland. They disappointed us today when the toilet kept making noises and not flushing properly. My attention is then drawn to the side of the toilet toward the back which has old pee on it. Due to the short amount of time we had at the hotel, I chose not to lodge a complaint since we didn't have time to do so and we spend very little time at the hotel except to sleep. Shower as well. It is not worth staying here again. The hotel needs to be renovated as it is in poor condition. read more

Castle Inn & Suites is a 10 minute walk to Disneyland, at most. The rooms are clean and room service tends to the rooms on a daily basis. We got a room with two queen beds. The beds are very worn and could stand to be updated. My bed was worn down on the side, which we laughed about. I slept like a rock though since we walk about 25,000 steps on a typical Disney visit. The rooms were quiet and you hear little to no noise from neighbors. The shower head has great pressure and stays nice and hot. There is a pool when the weather warms up. Stayed 4 nights for our Disneyland trip. I will start my review with the good. The staff was excellent from the managers, the front desk staff and the people who take care of the rooms. The room was very clean upon arrival. Plenty of towels. We even saw them cleaning carpets! The AC worked well which is a plus since it's so hot. The location is very good less than a 10 minute walk from the parks. Location is within walking distance to Cheesecake factory, PF chang's, Denny's, IHOP and McDonald's. The taxi ride from SNA to the property was 43 dollars. The Uber ride from the property to the airport was 30. They have free wifi and they let us check in when we arrived about 2 hours early. Now for the not so great. The beds and pillows were way too hard for me. Needless to say I woke up with neck and back pain. The toilet paper was like sand paper...ouch. During our stay there were alot of parents who thought it was cool to open their doors and just let their kids out on the walkway at around 6am and let them scream. This isn't the properties fault but the people who have no regard for other guests. All in all worth the money. read more

This place is okay if you find a good deal. I found a good deal online which was cheaper than any of the other hotels across from Disney, so because of the decent price, I give it 3 stars. However its a very basic bare bones place, so please read the truth and base your opinion on all the facts. To those that keep writing how close it is to Disneyland...yes, it is across the street, but its a solid 15 minute walk (or more depending on how fast you walk) from the hotel to the ticket counter. Its all the way at the end and probably further than the parking lot. Lets not pretend this is not tiring as all hell. I would absolutely choose to pay a bit more and stay closer next time. Or even go further away, pay much less, and get the shuttle many hotels provide. The looks of the hotel is cute, the way it has a darling castle theme is totally up my alley! They carry the castle theme indoors too. The people that work there were beyond helpful and very nice! This made the stay way better than it could have been. I noticed my mini fridge was not working and they sent a guy to replace it within minutes! A+++ Everything I called for (extra towels, soap etc) sent up to me immediately! But....and here's the big "but" they won't do room cleaning until after you leave?! If I had known this I would not have chosen to stay here. This meant, we were there for 3 days, with our stupid garbage in the cans, beds unmade, sheets dirty after hot sweaty days at Disneyland, and after such walking and exhaustion we had to make our own bed at night? No....just no. And they used the excuse of "Covid" to not have maid service. Enough of this BS already. Yes, we did have free wifi and free parking (which we did not need as we used a cab to get here). But NOTHING for breakfast. Not sure if this place ever offered breakfast, as I've never stayed here before. But I definitely think the hotels that offer breakfast make it worth the few extra shekels. So, I would say, its decent if you want to save a bit of money, but there will be basic amenities you will miss out on. read more

Loved the decor Loved the staff, they were very friendly and hospitable. They even gifted us with birthday cards for our stay!!! I was kinda looking forward to more tourist guide iteams: information on nearby towns, local businesses and events, etc. And the Disneyland newsletter didn't fulfill the information I was searching for (about the Pixar Festival) nor did the parks maps. But that is just the type of thing I look forward to - I still love receiving Postcards from peoples adventures. I loved staying a close walking distance to the Front Gate of both Disneyland(on the right hand side) and California Adventure (on the left hand side). This is a 3-5 min walk depending on foot traffic, but on the way home it's more like a 6 minute walk. Big downside: No Continental Breakfast. My family takes advantage of continental breakfast in order to help save money to be used for the park souvenirs & special foods and drinks in the parks. read more

My review is as follows : Customer service & friendliness = 5 Stars From booking on line to follow up by phone and upon arrival the service was above outstanding!!! Everyone was extremely friendly and even allowed us to leave our car after checking out so we could do some shopping in downtown Disney district and while we went out for breakfast without charging us extra! EXCELLENT!! They even charged my scooter every night. Just service was so outstanding Shower = 5 ++++ Stars Great! Shower pressure! Probably better than my home which is really good for hotel and in my experience rare .. cleanliness = 5 Stars even though some of the decor seemed out dated we found everything to be cleaned and sanitized - Due to Covid they didn't do daily house cleaning BUT, housekeeping did bring us fresh towels,coffee etc every time we called even at midnight , early morning Etc Housekeeping did go above and beyond! in a very timely and quick manner! Again Outstanding! Bedding = 1 Star : My one and only complaint was the bed was so very uncomfortable that on our first night as I woke up my back hurt so bad I could hardly move ! I thought I wouldn't be able to go in park :(( Updated : when I say bed was bad it was like sleeping on springs YES! Stayed here a few times over the years. Most recently in March 2023. It's extremely convenient to Disney, no need for a shuttle it's a 5-7 minute walk. The parking is FREE! I didn't use Wi-Fi, but it is available and free as well. Excellent reception area, check in was super easy. You are also a couple of blocks away from CVS and Walgreens. Our room was large with two comfy beds, with a fridge AND a microwave. I was there during the week, so the property was kinda empty, but probably not very much soundproofing in the rooms. There is also a pool, so bring your swimsuit to enjoy the beautiful California weather. read more

Welp. It's time for me to update my review of the Castle Inn and Suites. Originally I rated them 4 stars and said if they brought back housekeeping they'd earn a fifth star from me. I stayed with them a couple of weeks ago and I am so happy to report that housekeeping is back! Honestly, this is my tried and true go-to hotel when we go to Disney. You can never go wrong. There were a few things that happened this past trip that I would like to highlight. First of all, I was early to check in but they were able to accommodate me. Secondly, I was an hour late for check out (which I still feel bad about), but the staff was super accommodating and understanding (and they didn't fine me!!). Lastly, we had a stuffed animal that got wrapped up in the sheets and sent to laundry (oops). They held onto him for me and I was able to get him back quickly--also he came back far cleaner than he had been when he went to their laundry. I really like the Castle Inn and Suites and I think they are the best deal on Harbor. It's clean, the staff is great, and it's close to the entrance of the parks. So I stayed here for a few nights while spending the day at Disney land. Let's just say that the rooms need a lot of work. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The bathroom is in need of a good deep clean. Just some soap would be nice and a sponge. The floor was dirty as well as the bedding was thin and no blankets were there. There was a gift shop but it was closed down, there was no indication that it was closed. We thought we could go there for breakfast but not and they don't offer any. You are on your own and be warned that there are many homeless that sleep at the bus stop just down the lane. The parking spaces are small and do not make for a truck. I thought be being close to Disney would help them with revenue but I guess not. I will not be coming back here. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

This is a place to come if you want to be within walking distance of Disneyland. The hotel is filled with lots of other parents and kids. So it's okay when your kids are excited and rambunctious as all the other families are also. The Wi-Fi was good. I'm sure lots of families are uploading photos and there was no issue to upload. There is a Starbucks a block away. You'll need this because the coffee provided is horrible, even by Army standards. The shower is supper finicky. There was 1/8th inch of play between cold and hot. There is a LOT of light coming into the window if you need a dark room to sleep in, as I do. Bring a clip to hold the curtains closed. There is a fridge and microwave available. The first couple of nights we ate at area restaurants (it'll cost you well over $100 to eat anywhere) but the last night we got 7-11 food from a block away. IF YOU STAY HERE, GET AN INTERNAL ROOM AWAY FROM THE MAIN STREET. Every Fast and Furious wannabe with a fart pipe on a crappy car likes to drag race on the street. It is LOUD at all hours of the night. I wore earplugs and had the fan on high to try and sleep. read more

First time at the castle. I arrived quite early, check in is at 4. The sales director allowed me to check in early!!! The room was nice and spacious. My 7 year old princess loved it and so did I. I will be coming again soon. read more
