Just a few blocks from Disneyland and they offer free parking for one car. It literally took me 6 minutes walking from the hotel lobby to the security check just before the entrance to the parks by Harbor. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean.rje rooms are spacious. When you read other reviews about the outdated look, yeah the hotel isn't modern, but I feel like the old looks fits the castle feeling, at the rooms are clean and don't smell old, so I think that is more important than the actual look.

I stayed at Castles Inn and Suites from March 20-21, 2026 while visiting Disneyland Resort with my minor child. What occurred during my stay raises serious concerns regarding guest safety, negligence, and failure to respond appropriately to an on-site injury. Shortly after check-in, I attempted to use the in-room coffee maker. I don't believe The unit had no visible on/off switch and appeared to activate simply upon being plugged in. When I began to add water, I observed visible calcium buildup and lack of cleanliness, indicating poor maintenance. I immediately unplugged the unit and attempted to rinse it. At that moment, the appliance malfunctioned, causing overheated water to forcefully discharge onto my left hand, resulting in a significant burn and an associated electrical shock. Following the incident, I experienced prolonged pain lasting several hours. I was forced to leave the property to obtain medical supplies on my own, as no first aid, assistance, or emergency response was offered by hotel staff. Upon reporting the incident, staff failed to conduct any meaningful assessment, failed to document the occurrence, and failed to provide even minimal duty-of-care measures. The only response given was to remove the coffee maker from the room. I remained in my room for the majority of the day managing the injury myself, which substantially disrupted my stay and impacted my ability to safely and fully care for and spend time with my child. At no point during the remainder of my stay--or at checkout--did any staff member follow up, express concern, or provide documentation of the incident. This situation reflects a failure in multiple areas, including: * Proper inspection and maintenance of in-room appliances * Basic guest safety standards * Staff training regarding incident response and injury protocols * Duty of care owed to guests An incident of this nature--resulting in both a burn injury and electrical shock--should never occur under reasonable operating conditions. Equally concerning is the complete lack of response, documentation, or escalation by staff once the incident was reported. This review is being documented publicly due to the seriousness of the safety risk and the absence of any meaningful resolution at the property level. I strongly advise management and ownership to review their safety protocols, equipment maintenance procedures, and staff training immediately to prevent harm to future guests. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property and would caution others regarding potential safety risks.

3 stars for closeness to Disneyland- everyone has a different standard on what type of hotels you would stay at. I am no means a picky and bougie person, but there are better hotels out there. Price was affordable, closeness to park was nice, but the hotel inside is a little run down. Think about old school hotel with really old carpet and furniture. Surprised it didn't smell like mold. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The staff was very nice during check in and they kept the premises clean. I would definitely choose another hotel next time. Might pay a little more, but at least the rooms would be more up to date and modernized. All of people hype this place us and I can see why. You're taking a very expensive trip to Disneyland- and paying outrages prices for a place you will only sleep can make a sense why people chose this place. Look at the pictures and make your own decision.

    Great decoration and color coordination!

My stay at Castle Inn & Suites has been the best so Far from over 50+ hotel experiences. Customer service is top notch here! Very helpful staff. They will literally take care of you on your Disneyland vacation. And it's so close to the park at just 5 minutes away!

I've stayed here so many times in the past 10+ years. It was my go to hotel for all Disney related trips and work conferences. I hesitated to write a review due to my many years of "loyalty" to this hotel but after experiencing such high quality and cleaner amenities of near by hotels I decided to write a review of my last and final stay at castle inn. There were bugs everywhere. The moment I walked into my room there were dead bugs (I assumed cockroaches) laying on the floor. I called the front desk. A gentleman came by and immediately said "oh these aren't cockroaches!" (In a condescending tone) "these are beetles that come over here from the empty field! You know, field beetles!" He said they recently sprayed the common area outside and the bugs must have ran in and died in the room. Since I didn't examine the rest of the room I decided to take his word for it. Only a few minutes past and I noticed bugs everywhere, walls, windows, back of the room (we had a 1 bedroom family suite). I called the front desk again and a different person picked up the phone. I explained I just called for a bug problem but I was immediately cut off by the person at the desk who said "well what would you like us to do?" He explained that it was a busy week and there were no other rooms. I asked if they could at least have someone come by to vacuum and change all of the linens (we found 2 bugs on the bed). A woman came by to vaccum and when I asked if she was changing the sheets she said she want informed to do that (but she graciously did). At this point I started to examine every part of the room. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way (see attached photo), the bathroom vent was covered in dust (see photo), the bathroom towels were on rusty metal bars. I decided to talk to the front desk again. A nice woman again informed me they had no other rooms but could move my family into two standard rooms in 2 nights (I was there for 5 nights). I was then told that she could not guarantee that the rooms would be near each other (I had 3 small kids and my husband with me) and I wasn't sure if that would work but I told her to please let me know once she knows. She said I would get a call. After 3 nights and no call, I talked to the front desk. Another woman helped me who said she didn't see anything about moving my family and that there were no rooms available. We decided to just leave. I didn't bother trying to get the remainder of my trip refunded. We just packed up and left. That's how upset I was with the whole situation. I haven't been back. I went from staying here probably once a month for 2-3 years for work and once every few months for Disneyland for the past 10 years to never wanting to return. I've stayed at 4 other near by hotels and never had an issue with any type of bugs or beetles. To be fair, I never had an issue with bugs prior to my last stay here either but the amount of bugs I came across (constantly for the 3 nights) to the lack of customer service was disappointing.

Last minute spontaneous booking. Not usually the hotel we choose when staying at Disneyland, due to price. This would be my second time staying. I had extra money in the hotels.com account so we used it here to surprise my son. We stayed at a previous "castle" hotel that was horrible, so we stayed here to give new memories of a castle hotel. After reading other reviews, I agree the hotel is ran down for the price you pay. You are actually paying for the location. Castle theme or not, no reason for the over used carpet with holes in it. The colors are horrid and don't say castle to me. The outside needs to be repainted. The lobby was filled with scooters. A cubby for masks "if you forgot one" Along with all staff wearing masks. Mandate is over. The rooms are compact. Table to eat and chairs, table right by the door, TV, fridge, coffee maker. Not sure about a microwave though. Beds were hard as a rock. Thank goodness we were checking out the next day and goimg home, my husband and I could barely walk from our back pain we got from the beds. Also, there was no latch on the door. Just one lock, that when you turn the handle it unlocks and opens. My 1.5 year old learned that real fast. Being a hotel with children staying, might want to fix that. We used our stroller to place at the door. Upon checkout, I was told that now I have an account with the hotel, I can call directly and get a "much cheaper price". Not sure if we would want to return till its gotten a touch up that seems to be needed 10 years ago. UPDATE: Thank you reply, but the generic response about the "castle theme" colors and whatnot... what does that have to do with the peeling paint on the outside of the building? Fading paint and the tore up floor? Storing the scooters in your lobby doesn't make sense. Maybe have another area? It's insane the amount taking up the lobby. My room in fact did NOT have two locks or I wouldn't have had to chase my toddler outside numerous times. In fact, if Yelp would let me, I have a picture of the door.

The beautiful stained glass window at the front.
    Stewart J.

Copied over from my TripAdvisor review: "Walking up to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised by the stained glass windows and the overall appearance of the hotel. It isn't a 5 star resort but as far as a hotel near Disneyland goes, it was perfect. Now as far as the staff goes...they are the reason that this location gets 5 stars. We got there early after a long morning of travel (plane, train, and bus). We got there expecting to be allowed to drop off our luggage (something they will do if your room isn't ready) but even though we were hours early, they allowed us to check in. They said they had a room ready so if we wanted to, we could check in. This was extremely nice and made the beginning of our vacation wonderful. Do not expect this to be normal as it could have been very lucky but the mere allowance of doing it was very courteous. The room itself was better than it needed to be for a Good Neighbor Disney hotel. The room was well maintained and had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. The fridge became very useful when it came to quickly bringing back Disneyland leftovers from meals. Check out was really smooth and the staff was delightful then as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."

    Thank You Management

Best Service So Far Ever!!!! My sons adaptive stroller wheel fell off first day in Disneyland actually first hour as we were walking out of hotel and manager came to rescue and we located the bolt and he got his tools and put back together huge thank you and patience with my autistic child means a lot

Beautiful staved glass in the lobby
    Shannon A.

Simple, clean, and affordable. Five minute walk to the gates of Disneyland. We left behind a book by mistake and they called and offered to mail it. We decided not to, but the gesture was appreciated. My only wish is that the room was serviced daily, at least for trash and towels. They don't hesitate to give you towels, but I'm ready to go back to pre-Covid standards.

We made a friend in the lobby.

From the moment you pull into the driveway, you know you're somewhere special. I chose valet parking, which is about $60 a night. They also offer self-parking at a lower rate if you'd rather save a little money. As soon as you walk through the doors, you're greeted with the most amazing signature scent. It honestly reminds me of walking into an upscale Las Vegas resort. The lobby is elegant, there's a beautiful bar, a well-equipped fitness center, and a gorgeous pool area. We spent some time at the heated pool and jacuzzi, and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. The jacuzzi even has water features flowing into it, making it feel like a true luxury resort. The rooms are just as impressive. They're modern, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. The carpet was so soft, the bathroom was beautiful, and the entire room felt clean, relaxing, and upscale. Now, here's the decision I had to make. I could have booked a theme park view room where you can see Disney California Adventure and the fireworks from your balcony. But instead, I chose a resort-view room because I really wanted to experience the hotel's rooftop restaurant, Rise. And I'm so glad I did. When we checked in, they were able to get us a reservation for 8:30 p.m. The restaurant is reservation-only, so I definitely recommend planning ahead if you can. We arrived just before sunset, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The rooftop has glass panels all around, so you have an unobstructed view of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure while you're enjoying dinner. Then, at 9:30, the fireworks started. Watching the sunset fade into the Disney fireworks while enjoying dinner on the rooftop was honestly one of the most magical experiences of the trip. It was worth every penny. So if you're celebrating something special, planning a romantic getaway, or just want to treat yourself to a luxury Disneyland experience, The Westin Anaheim is an incredible choice. It's definitely a splurge--but if you're looking to feel a little bougie, relax in luxury, and create an unforgettable Disney memory, you won't regret staying here.

When I arrived, the concierge remember me (and my son) from our visit last year. That impressed me! The room was comfortable as always. It was also large and comfortable. This hotel has one of the best fitness centers that I've ever had at a hotel. Only a few very high-end hotels have ever come close. The property is also in close proximity to tons of attractions for the kiddos. Love the property and the staff are awesome. Will definitely be back again!

Made our first stay memorable. We're saying goodbye to the California Grand and saying hello to Candy Cane Inn. With our Magic Key, you get a rate discount. Rooms - upgraded and clean. I particularly noticed something from their staff and it's not a small item. When walking the hall and just glancing into a room being cleaned, they do not put the beddings on the floor like 99% of other hotels. If this is a detail they enforce, as a guest you can feel at home when you finally crash for the evening after a full day in the park. Grounds - wow! They were non-stop cleaning, pruning, watering. This is the Disney experience you hear about. Complimentary Breakfast - from 6:30am-9:30am. But I saw people coming in at 9:40 and the staff didn't turn them away. Yeah, I'm looking at you Hyatt House. And the variety of foods is great. The fruit actually looks like it was freshly cut and not from a bag. They had papaya and mounds of blueberries when I was there, among the classics like strawberries, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Instead of a spoon to serve yogurt, they had flavored Oikos in their individual sealed containers so there ain't sticky fingers double-dipping! Lobby - they have fresh water with watermelon slices. Super refreshing because it was 90 degrees during our entire stay. Bottom line. Such a clean and friendly environment. Top notch!

First off the location is great for the parks, it's a doable walk when your feet are still fresh but if you're too tired they have their cute little trolley that drops you off and picks you up from the parks once an hour. It's a very quiet hotel, i've never had any noise issues staying there. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Another plus is the A/C's always work great and since they renovated they're in the ceiling so it cools a lot more evenly. They've got a pool and hot tub plus a small wading pool for the little tykes! They've really stepped up their continental breakfast as well. Lots of choices and great things to grab for snacks later inside the park. The staff is always phenomenal and friendly. From front desk, to maids, to groundskeepers and security guards everyone smiles and greets you when walking by. We like a specific area of the hotel and they almost always honor that and are very personable. The price is pretty comparable to other ones in the surrounding area when you factor in parking fees for them. My family is usually willing to pay a little extra for that Candy Cane Inn charm. More affordable than any Disney branded hotel but still that great Disney level customer service.

We had a living room area with a view of the street, it was so nice! The TVs are a little small, like 32" but I guess you're not watching TV when you're so close to Disneyland lol. We love that it's conveniently located near Walgreens, Chubby a dumplings and pizza places. Pro tip: The Walgreens also has a lot of Disney souvenirs at a reasonable price! It's about a 25-30 min walk to Disneyland. There's ample space on the side streets for strollers. Just be sure your walking shoes are comfy, your stroller is packed with snacks and hydration and you'll be good! Overall, a great place to stay when you're going to Disneyland.

Our point of reference is a Hyatt Place that we stayed at in Emeryville, CA. The actual room is a bit dated. I refer to it like a college dorm suite. But it does the job. It was nice to have a kitchen island, kitchen sink, and microwave for snacking or even an extra sink to brush your teeth. The shower temperature was a roller coaster. It would go from warm to cold and hot. Be aware of this or you cold burn yourself. I'd especially make younger kids aware of this. Breakfast is always a hit here which is a huge reason why people choose the Hyatt Place/House line.. ITS FREE! And they it well. Day 1: eggs, hot link sausages (cut), tator tots, pancakes Day 2: eggs, pork sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, French toast sticks They have 2 lines for food and tons of seating. Well done here. The breakfast area is clearly thought through and not an after thought but a key feature. The swimming pool was also a good experience. They have a hot tub and it wasn't too crowded. The gym has enough in there and is a great place to refill water. Service could be a bit better. There are lots of people so I can understand the demand. Anything close to Disneyland draws so many people from all over. Service was often laggy and mediocre. $40 overnight parking (this was similar at other Hyatt). All-in-all, it fit the bill for what we needed. There are some improvements to be made, such as modernizing and fixing plumbing, and... it worked out for us.

The hotel is relatively modern and has been maintained extremely well. Rooms have consistently been very clean, and there are a surprising number of configurations designed for larger families. Depending on the room, you'll find bunk beds, separate sleeping areas, and layouts that give mom and dad at least some separation from the kids at the end of the day. That's harder to find around Disneyland than it should be, particularly within the Hilton portfolio. The lobby is large, bright, and airy, with plenty of seating, a good snack/market area, and Disney+ seemingly always playing for the kids. The complimentary breakfast is the typical Homewood Suites buffet, but the breakfast area itself is enormous. It gets very busy in the morning--as you'd expect at a Disneyland hotel--but we've generally been able to find somewhere to sit even during the rush. The pool is OK. Nothing particularly special, but perfectly adequate for letting the kids burn off whatever energy Disneyland somehow failed to extract from them. Service has consistently been friendly and helpful. The property is also surprisingly easy to get in and out of for a hotel this busy. Two elevators keep things moving reasonably well, and multiple exits provide quick access to different parts of the parking lot. Parking is gated and does carry an additional fee, which is worth factoring into the room rate. Disneyland is walkable from the hotel, although I'd put an asterisk next to "walkable." With school-age kids it's very manageable; with toddlers or younger children, the distance becomes considerably less appealing--particularly at the end of a long park day. The location also works well for travelers who aren't visiting Disneyland, as the Anaheim Convention Center is very close. For families, especially loyal Hilton members, this is an outstanding option. There are hotels closer to the parks and certainly hotels with better pools or more upscale amenities, but very few combine the room configurations, cleanliness, breakfast setup, location, and family-friendly common areas as well as this one. While we are moving out of the stage of life where this may be the case, for our previous trips with kids ranging from 2-8, it's served our family, extremely well. -AC

Guess what, no tickets in sight, not a one! Had to back out of there and pray to god that they didn't have those backward spikes to shred your tires. They had a some spots for checking in but alas they were taken up by the maintenance crews! I had to park in a handicap spot and call the front desk to open the gate and let me in. Ridiculous! Once I got that taken care of I headed up to the room where I found the mini refrigerator was on to the maximum cold level and it was warm and to boot it buzzed. I tried to make the best of it and decided to make some coffee. The water leaked out all over the counter. I took a quick shower before heading out to meet up with my friends and it literally took 10 minutes before it got warm enough to use. Then the faucet dripped non stop.
