My family has been coming here for years since Sleeping Penny closed. Alpine Inn continues to buck the trend of hotels near Disneyland. They are extremely clean, and they are constantly renovating the rooms so they look nice. Some years the furniture is nice and new, and other times like this time they're a little battered. This time the bathroom is nice and new. Pros Location Design of Exterior (it's so cute come on) Staff (super nice and actually interested in talking, none of that forced small talk BS) Cleanliness Has a microwave and fridge Comfortable bed Pillows are not flat More than 1 chair Surprisingly can't hear the noise of CA Adventure Cons Limited parking (get here in the afternoon and then don't move it, it's hard to find parking at night) Huge Price Fluctuations (tried in August and it was unreasonably high like 3-4x, but post Xmas/New Year the pricing went back down to normal rates) Not enough hangers (which is like every hotel issue) If you walk back after a full day of the park, it feeks so long lol Overall, love love love Alpine Inn. read more

Our family stayed at Alpine Inn for 3 nights. We booked the 3 queen beds (2 in one room and the other queen in a separate room). The hotel was really clean and spacious and there is no parking fee. The room has a good sized fridge and microwave. However, they don't offer breakfast but they do have coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby every morning. The hotel is on the same block as Disneyland and DCA so the walk is really short, about 10-15 minutes. The only thing about this hotel is there really isn't much restaurants around, but there is a 7-11 at the corner. We brought our own snacks and tried to eat as much at Disneyland before coming back to the hotel. read more

We were able to check-in early, thankfully. The receptionist Parth was very helpful and kind. Our hotel room was very clean. No carpet in this room which is a plus! The bedsheets had no stains. The bathroom towels were clean. The shower was clean. Everything was clean. It looks like the housekeeper thoroughly deep cleans the rooms. We stayed here for 1 night and it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfy and pillows were soft. We will definitely stay here again next time. The customer service from Parth was great. He was very welcoming when we checked-in and when we checked-out. Parth is the type of receptionist that every customer should experience. 10 out of 10. Super clean hotel walking distance to Disneyland Maingate. Rooms look recently renovated, clean, have a refrigerator and microwave, and ample parking included with stay. The staff was quick and efficient in communicating and addressing my inquiries via chat. They even managed to check us in early. The welcoming and friendly staff made us feel right at home. There was ample parking, and they even provided plates and utensils. The rooms were nicely and neatly decorated, as pictured. Most importantly, clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, especially after a day at Disney - yet, still conveniently walkable from the park. The pool looked fresh and was very inviting after a long day. I had an amazing experience. The room was not big but I didn't need a penthouse suite. I needed a room very close to Disneyland this hotel checked thay box. I needed a room clean and I'm a clean freak this room checked that box. I needed a room free of bed bugs and this room checked the box and I needed parking for the rental car and this hotel also checked those boxes. You will have a slight additional fee even if you booked the room on Expedia I paid 52 dollars but that wasn't a big deal. We were able to rest easy after long days at Disney and universal studios. This is a great little motel right behind DCA. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had parking which was amazing because it could have been a frustrating situation. The room was very clean and had instant hot water in the shower. It comes equipped with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave which is nice. We took advantage of the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby area every morning for our short walk to Disneyland. The noise level is just like any hotel, yes, you hear traffic and occasionally other guests but no more than you would the more expensive Disney run hotels. Alpine Inn is a real gem! This place has been in Anaheim for a long time. I remember always being intrigued by the Inn with its unique aesthetic. It is a very quaint and nice. I opted to stay a few years ago for the first time and have come back many times since then. It is located right behind Radiator Springs and directly across from the Anaheim Convention Center. Also it is under a mile walk to Disneyland. There is free parking for one car- a charge that can add up as other places in the vicinity charge 30-40 dollars a day. When I stayed at the Grand Californian it was actually 75 dollars for valet parking with the option of self parking that would be very far away. So this is a huge benefit. The service at the Alpine Inn is the best! Parth at the front desk is outstanding and always has a great attitude. It feels like they appreciate your business and do such a great job. The rooms are nice and roomy and offer a nice a/c unit. Highly recommend! read more

Anaheim hotels were gouging (forget the Hilton where we last stayed, now a Westin, too expensive) trying to make hay while the sun shines after two long, lean years of the pandemic. Across my radar came Alpine Inn. Both close to the DisneyLand gate and the price was right, $660 (including all taxes) for four nights, a great deal. Rooms are basic, newly remodeled and clean with a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Pros: Clean and comfortable Mattresses were fine, no complaints, we slept well Excellent, pounding water pressure to relieve sore backs Free parking Small pool in the parking lot (didn't use) Walking distance to DisneyLand (15 minutes from the gate) Across the street from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Close to good restaurants (both walking or a cheap Uber ride away) Cons: Older building, could hear people come & go (not a major issue, guess it depends on the guests) Annoying DirectTV with testy remote Weak/insecure wifi connection Alpine Inn is a budget motor lodge. The check-in gentleman was very nice, but the manager is very rude. I called before I could cancel my reservation to ask about leaving my car there when I check out because that was the day we were going to Disneyland. Over the phone they told me if they aren't sold out, it shouldn't be a problem and to call in the morning I was checking out to check. I looked online and they still had five rooms available. I called the front desk and they told me I couldn't leave my car there. When I spoke with the manager, he told me the same thing and when I explained to him that I only made the reservation because it was close to the park so that I could park there and walk, he was very rude and said "I've told you 3 to 4 times no you can't leave your car here, what are you not understanding". They also had someone at the front tell me if it wasn't sold out I could leave my car there. I only wanted to leave my car there till about 5 o'clock And they said no. I would never waste my money there because the price is not worth it and it's actually a 15 minute walk to Disney not the eight minutes it says. read more

Stayed here over the weekend for a comic book convention and had a wonderful time! The location here is perfect and that's what made me choose to book here- it's a 10 minute walk to downtown disney, and the convention center is directly across the street. Check in was very easy and the staff working were super nice. The motel lobby had some cute Disney posters, and they had coffee and tea available in the morning. As for the rooms, they're nice! They have laminate flooring instead of nasty carpet and our room was nice and clean. We saw housekeeping staff come through multiple times a day and check on the rooms often with fresh linens. Their laundry area is directly across from their lobby and I saw them running multiple loads. The beds were on the firmer side and very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. No complaints other than the soap dispenser was a little stubborn at first. I wish they had curtains in addition to the shutters on the window, but the room got plenty of light during the day which was pleasant. I felt safe at night which is one of the most important things about travel. I was very happy with my stay here and I'm definitely planning on staying here again in the future. read more

I don't know how this place was so cheap but it was amazing. We were in town and extra night because of airline problems but Victoria up at the front office took care of me like I was his cousin coming to visit. He went above and beyond trying to help in any way he could. The room was amazing, walked in and it smelled great. The temperature was great and there was even a plant. When you stay here it might be less than a bigger hotel but it is just as nice. I feel like everything is brand new and nothing is. It's just maintained well. The outside is very nostalgic, having been around since the 60's, but the rooms look newly remodeled and are very modern. If you are looking for an inexpensive, close to the park, great place to sleep... this is your hotel. The front desk was very friendly and took care of my needs. Parking is free and very open. We enjoyed our stay at the reasonably priced Alpine Inn during our Disney vacation. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, pleasant and spacious and I believe was recently updated. Comfortable mattresses and nice bedding as well. The only slight downside was hearing our neighbors talking in the room next to us at times, but since everyone is tired after a day at Disney it's not like there's any partying going on. We had a great one night stay at the Alpine Inn. We were in town for the Disney Half Marathon weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a better location. It's just a short 10-15 walk to the parks. The inn also has free parking and the rooms are very clean. The fridge and microwave are also a great amenity! We would definitely stay here again. read more

I'm actually sad writing this. Alpine Inn used to be one of my favorite hotels in the Anaheim area. A couple of years ago there was a renovation and things were fine. New paint and all that was good to go. This past week, things weren't great. The peep hole in the door had paper (or something) stuffed in it making its usage completely worthless. The rubber tub bathmat had long black hair all over it like it was never actually cleaned. The two chairs in the room had some WILD lookin' stains on them that warranted us to cover with multiple towels and never go near them. The ironing board also had some nasty stuff on it but at least it was tucked away in the far corner of the room. Under the dresser, I'm pretty sure, had never been dusted in years. There were balls of dust and some smaller pieces of things rolled in that dust. The opening on the front of the dresser is a few inches so surely SOMETHING could fit under that to clean it once in a while at least? The fridge was loud - making weird "dropping" noises every couple of hours. There's no ice part of the fridge so that dropping noise was odd to hear. I guess it was the compressor going off and on and has never been serviced before? There were also large water drops all over the inside of the fridge as well. Not sure what that was about but there it is. The night we checked in, we noticed a "marijuana odor" coming into the room. I opened the door and there was someone a few doors down "partaking". It is what it is - but then it got worse. I looked out the window to find ... that the window was wide open. The window sits behind wooden shutters that remained closed so until you get up and make an effort to look, you'd never know (unless it's windy, I s'pose) that the window was actually open. That was a "fun" surprise. At 11:59pm, our alarm clock went off scaring the hell out of the kid. Maybe scared the adults as well as we had no clue what that noise was. I guess we don't check those things when cleaning anymore? I don't know what's going on with the cleaning crew anymore, but this isn't it. Whatever went on with this room was a shame. We ended up leaving a day early just cause things didn't feel clean or feel right overall. We've stayed here maybe close to 20 times in the last 7 or so years and it was always a good deal between Disneyland proximity, "amenities", and price. I feel like the economy might have chipped away at this place a bit too much and I'm unsure if we'll go back to this motel again. It sucks, but for a few extra dollars, I think the next time we'd choose a different place that - maybe - cleans rooms at least a slight bit better than what we got. On a positive note, as has ALWAYS been the case through the years here, the front desk staff are incredibly nice and quick to respond to a request if needed. We havent checked out of our room yet but for the night we stayed it was good. I can say everything was clean and we had zero allergies. Most hotels have carpet and this has regular floor which was really nice. The room wasnt big but it was enough for what we needed and it was perfect for the 4 of us. Friendly family owned business. They were in the middle of upgrades and remodeling pre-pandemic (December before the stay at home orders). Reasonable rates and great location. It was an easy walk to food, shopping, the amusement parks and to the convention center. A modest and simple breakfast was included (packaged baked muffins, coffee/ tea), etc.) I had a room with a queen bed. Everything was pretty straightforward and modest, but clean and everything was in good working order/ condition. I would imagine after their renovations everything would be nicely updated. read more

Found this place on trip advisor as it was rated highly because of the clean rooms, nice service and short distance to Disneyland. The only disappointing thing about this room was not a comfortable bed. Felt like I was sleeping on springs. After a long day at Disneyland, I was not happy coming to sleep on this springy bed. In addition, this place has some serious history being one of the early hotels in the area that still stands mostly unchanged. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. We were here 2/16-2/20, 4 nights. Great location - 15 minute brisk walk to Disney security gates. We felt safe, and the nights were quiet. At least from 12am til 7am. We were at the parks the rest of the time. Actually we went back for afternoon naps and it was quiet too. Really great 2 star hotel! Perfect location on Katella and Ball. We stayed for two nights for our Disneyland trip. We took a break during our day at Disney and walked back to the hotel for an afternoon siesta, and it was such a convenient location. Even after having tired feet at the end of the day, the walk back to the hotel was not bad at all and very quick. We stayed on the side of the hotel that shares the backside with California Adventure, so we were able to hear Radiator Springs Racers and people yelling, but not too loud at all. It was actually very cool and made us excited to get into the park! Beds were clean, we checked to make sure no bed bugs since that seems to be a problem at hotels in the area. We were given a permit to park but there's not very much parking in the lot, but luckily there was never a time where it was completely full and we couldn't park. The TV has many cable channels to watch and free wifi as well. AC worked well, especially during the heat of the day. The room came with a microwave, a coffee maker, and a fridge, but the fridge didn't get too cold. The only reason I'm giving this review 4 stars is because the floors were pretty dirty. There were no particles or anything, it was probably vacuumed but not mopped because we wore socks in the room and they were FILTHY. Other than that, I would recommend Alpine Inn and would stay here again. Perfect for a Disney trip and right next to the park! No need to wait for busy shuttles and trams at the end of the night and save money on Disney parking :) read more

We stayed here for our Disneyland trip and loved it! It was less than 10 minutes to walk to the main entrance of Disneyland! We were right behind radiator springs and could hear the screams from everyone on the rides! The staff was friendly when we checked in/out and was very helpful when asking questions! They directed us to a food 4 less up the road a bit so we could get some groceries for our stay. I saw they had scooter rentals which would be helpful for others! They even allowed us to park our truck in their parking lot after checking out for our last day at Disney! No more filthy carpet! This Inn is newly renovated with laminate floors and tile. The bathroom is adorable with renovated fixtures and window. The room comes complete with plenty of plugs and USB ports. Our room fit 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. Disneyland was a very close walk. We could see and hear the back of Radiator Springs. Nothing too loud but just enough noise to get the kids excited. Parking was free and the lot sizes were spacious. If you use the pay later option when booking, they will charge you for your first day two days prior to check in. read more
