So I've been to Italy and the pizza here is very similar to the brick oven, wood fried stuff you'd get there, in my opinion. The middle of the pie has very thin, bendable crust-- in the best way possible. And the outer crust is large and bubbly and slightly charred. They've got some great options on the menu as far as types of pizza too! Some of my friends like getting their pizza with honey drizzle if you're into that. I prefer a classic Margherita. Best pizza in Fort Worth! Any time we want pizza we will always come here. Every time we have guests in town we take them here. Their pizza made in a classic brick oven are phenomenal. Pretty sure I have had almost every pizza here but the Honey Bastard is 100% my favorite pizza. I always get it when I go in. I get extra Habanero Honey because I love it so much. For once we got up early enough on a Saturday for brunch, and we settled on CR. We got there right at opening and we're seated promptly. I requested coffee and OJ for the little one. My husband got a mimosa-all tasted very fresh! The brunch list isn't long,and we ordered quickly: biscuits and gravy, I ordered cane rosso breakfast dish with potatoes, egg, salad and a biscuit, we got the waffle for our toddler. We were seated and had pretty quick service, although everything seemed crazy busy and our waitress was flustered. We started with the Brussels sprouts and bruschetta. First, I have to say that this place seems to have an obsession with whipped ricotta, it was on both appetizers and pizzas. The Brussels were solid but not the best I've had, and the cold whipped ricotta was a weird choice. I wasn't a fan of the bruschetta either - far too crunchy with far too much arugula. That said, the pizza is really good and what they are known for. The crust is perfect. We chose the CBD chicken pizza and a pizza with prosciutto and sausage. When I first moved to Texas and complained about the lousy pizza, my cousin -- a NYC transplant -- told me that I just HAD to go to Cane Rosso. Being from Brooklyn, I'm a fan of the original Patsy Grimaldi's so when I feel like brick oven, I'll usually go there (Grimaldi's) but on this evening, we left the theater on Thursday night around 9:40 and raced over to Cane Rosso arriving around 9:50pm to an empty restaurant (10pm closing time). I felt a little guilty and asked the waitress if she minded if we ate in. She was very sweet and invited us to sit down, while I entertained angry looks from the pizza maker in the back. The pizza was as expected from a guy annoyed at the late seaters and eager to go home: undercooked and even a bit soggy. The pepperonis which typically curl up under the brick oven heat, remained flat and undercooked as well. To be honest, it was a pretty big disappointment but I took part of the blame for arriving so late. Even the exciting banana pudding couldn't save the evening. So when we had a little more time on a weekend night, we ventured back to give it one more try. Everything was much better -- pizza fully cooked, pepperonis properly curled -- and we enjoyed our meal. I still prefer Grimaldi's but Cane serves you up in 10 minutes and not 2 hours so there's that to consider. In a nutshell, not quite up to the hype, but pretty alright. read more

I would have loved to give this 5 stars. I did take out and I must say this was the worst I've ever came across. The one star is for the ambiance. Food: We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta. We were told it would be 20 min. At 1 min past 20 we were there. After the nightmare of picking it up, we get home (we live 4 mins away) the pizza was cold...i mean warm... but below the standard of a take out pizza by the USDA. So we had to put the pizza in the oven to reheat. I would understand if we waited 45 min to an hour to pick it up...but we made sure it was on the dot...we were hungry. No stars Service: the front desk lady was very rude. I steped up to the counter with no one around. Phone rings not "hold on one second", its look at me then take the call. Once she was done with the call someone else who had just walked up next to me is greeted and seated. I am only here for take out and this is my first time, so I figured take out people just kind of take a back seat. She, annoyed, finally address me, just point to the bar, and says "take out". There was no room at the bar to pick up other than the wait staff area so it was all kind of awkward but tolerable. Would you be able to have a sign or a small designated area to pick up. So no stars :/ I am sad that this was what I had to go through. I mean get take out to take home to re cook. Papa Murphys? Anyways, I am sad that i cant refer people to this place. I came here today around noon with my mother-in-law and my 6 year old. Food was delicious as always! I ordered the lunch combo with margherita pizza and small house salad, my MIL ordered a side salad (which was as large as a whole salad!) and the Cane Rosso pizza and my son ordered the chicken alfredo pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had enough to take home. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because our service was very lackluster. We were sat at a booth and within 5 minutes another family was sat right next to us and immediately a server came to their table and took their drink order with a nice friendly chatty manner. Quite a few minutes later a different server came to our table, very somber and took our drink order. By the time we got our drinks the table beside us already had their drinks and two pizzas and their server was continually coming over to check how things were, offer refills and was just super pleasant. Our server came back only to deliver drinks, the food and the bill. He never came by to ask us how anything was or if we needed any refills (which we did) and was never friendly or engaging. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and there seemed to be quite a few staff members about, so I'm not sure the reason behind the poor service and the contrast between our service and that of our neighbors made it worse. Hopefully next time we will have a more pleasant experience as this wasn't the best impression for my MIL who had never before eaten at Cane Rosso. read more

So where do I start? I am 3 in the negative on food at the moment. I really need to make better decisions. So I went on a date last night to cane Rosso. Everyone said it's yummy. Well that was not our experience. We started with the stale chips and spinach artichoke dip. By far that dip was the best thing we had. If the chips would have been good then we may have gotten one more star. The pizza limp wet under done no flavor. I had like half a piece and the date ate one. I took a picture of how bad it was. I mean when you have a wood burning pizza oven that should be around 800 degrees a soggy wet pizza is unacceptable. Now they are getting two stars because the serviceS was good the server took very good care of us and even took the pizza off our bill and the manager came to apologize. We by no means got angry or acted cray in meant way. So that's a big plus in my book. However I do t care how nice the staff here was I will not be going back. Trendy spot that makes some very pretty looking pizzas. Waitress recommended the meatballs, and I was in the mood for a classic, so I went with spaghetti and meatballs. The caesar salad ($8) was good. But my entree was served room temperature. The meatballs were borderline cold inside, not even close to an acceptable temp for meat. The red sauce seemed pretty good, but the temperature prevented me from really enjoying it and there was so much water in the bowl that it diluted the sauce. Sloppy work by the kitchen all around.
