We grabbed the lube, asked for a 25 mg limeade, and made our way to the register. We inquired if they had any first time discounts - of course not. It was far from the end of the world, considering they marketed themselves as affordable. We left the store and right as we entered our car learned that we had been given the lemonade instead, no biggie but not ideal. Then we made our way back to Tokyo Starfish. The vibes were immaculate compared to Substance. Here, we bought flower because we could actually see and smell the product, and then we stumbled across the exact same thc lube, for $24. What an absolute tragedy. Overall, the false advertisement, bad customer service, and unappealing display of products will prevent us from returning again. Tokyo Starfish has our business.

My best friend was visiting from Seattle and I took him on a tour with Tristone & Stacie Dred for a…read moresurprise birthday present - and it turned out to be one of the most awesome things ever! I called prior the the tour and talked to Stacie a bit about what we were interested in seeing, then let them come up with a custom tour plan. We started at a local dispensary where we enjoyed some CBD coffee and went through a presentation regarding the history of legalization in Oregon, along with some cannabis chemistry and other topics of interest. From there we went to another dispensary where we got a tour from the site manager, along with a most excellent swag bag (that was basically worth what we paid for the tour itself) and a few complimentary rollies. As I indicated my interest in hemp, we were then able to tour a working hemp farm. Even though it was after harvest, we got to see massive piles of de-budded plant stocks, as well as 500+ lb bags of CBD bud ready to send out for processing. The farm owner was on hand, and we got to have a nice little chat as we enjoyed some product we picked up at the previous stop. From there we got to finish up at a local lab, which was beyond fascinating - not at all what I imagined. Can't say enough about how awesome Tris and Stacie are. If there is ever an official "Ambassador of Cannabis" position in Bend, it will have to be jointly shared. My buddy is looking forward to his next visit, and we look forward to taking the tour again and letting them come up with another unique path. Seriously... would give this 10, or better yet, 100 stars if possible.
