The kale and sausage soup is something I dream about, and their pizzas (cooked in their pizza oven that you can see from your seat) are something good I ate my leftovers in the car on an 11 hour trip the next day without heating it up. As a wine bar, they have a great drink selection, but definitely try the food. It's one of my favorite places to eat in the area. Ordered the seafood chowder, which was average and cold. We also ordered the French dip sandwich, and it was very tasty but bearly warm. The pizza was good but again, slightly warm. We had our son's and new daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner here after the rehearsal at Gideon Owen and it was just perfect!!! Russ, the owner, went out of his way to make their night special. We had met with him in person months before, but then he suggested a phone conference a few weeks before the big day to decide on the appetizers that would put out as our guests arrived. He was very honest with us when we wanted to order too much and that was SO appreciated!!! The food was delicious and the staff was kind. We had the guests order food and drinks directly off the menu, as we felt this was easiest for everyone and it worked out perfectly! Very nice place. Immediately greeted - very friendly hostess! A few places to sit either in the main area, bar area, outside seating, or gallery seating. We chose the gallery which was lighted more than the other areas but had local artists items as decor - for sale too. Was tasteful and pleasant in the gallery. Our waiter was Kirsten who was a delight. We came for the wood-fires pizza. I had the daily special the Crab and Artichoke pizza. It was delightful. The dough was perfectly baked - no charred spots. The artichokes were tender and sweet as were the onions. Crab was tender. Not too much sauce which was refreshing. My wife had the Italian sausage pizza - she reported it was perfect- not too much sauce and the Italian sausage was just spicy enough. Kirsten was prompt and very personable. Canoe Club was amazing in every way. The service was impeccable and the overall atmosphere was very chill and not bad. They have two nice little bars that have wine bottles on the walls. As far as the food goes, we got the Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza, and BOY was it amazing. It reminds me a lot of what an actual Italian pizza tastes like. The crust was perfect and the nice honey drizzle gave the pizza an awesome final touch. Personally, I'd recommend that everyone give this place a try. Pros: Seated within 10 min on a busy summer Saturday evening in the area. Friendly hostess ended up serving us as well. The peach sparkling wine was delicious. Dimmed lighting and dinner music made for a nice atmosphere. Cons: 3 of us shared 3 dishes to try a variety. The portions are small for the price and not anything to rave about. EXCELLENT!! We've been driving past this wine bar for years but always have our dogs with us so have never been able to stop. I'm so happy we were able to this past weekend. The bar/restaurant is absolutely beautiful, cozy and very welcoming. We decided to sit at the bar and have our dinner there. Sherry was working the bar and is great. She welcomed everyone that walked in and was so friendly and attentive. My husband and I shared the French Onion Soup & the special appetizer of the day the Crab Bruschetta. Both were great!!! My husband is an avid wildlife photographer and attends the "Biggest Week In American Birding" at Magee Marsh, so my parents and I decided to tag along this year. We spent a lot of time exploring the area, as it was our first time in the area, and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I refer to it as this because it is in a little strip mall that is easy to miss, but once you get inside you find that the exterior does NOT reflect the interior. The inside of the restaurant boasts high ceilings and decor like that of a lake house, with canoes and ores hanging from the ceiling and walls. Definitely unique and creative. We arrived around 6:00pm, which was the perfect time because shortly after the place filled up -- all tables and bar were filled. I ordered a red sangria and my mother a white sangria. Both were delicious and could tell they were homemade and not from a mix. We also started off with the pretzels that were satisfying. My parents both opted for the French dip for their entrees and I went with the gourmet veggie. I didn't taste the French dip, as I am a vegetarian, but my parents expressed that it was delicious and from the looks of it, there was a good amount of meat on it. The pizza was delicious and had roasted peppers and artichokes with a pesto sauce. The crust was on the thicker side, and was filling. This was the best place we ate at while in the area and will revisit if we return next year! read more

Dinned here on a Sat night. It's much larger on the inside than it appears when you pull in. There are 3 distinctly decorated rooms. We choose the main bar area and sat at the bar which was quite comfortable. The bar tender knows her stuff. Recommend the Italian sausage skillet appetizer, any of the pizzas, and the pretzel crust brownie. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service here. And there were people waiting to get in after 7pm late March, a bit surprising I thought for this time of year. read more

What a hidden gem at the end of a shopping mall. What struck me as an hole in the wall turned out to be a complete surprise on the inside decor. I believe this place is relative new (last couple of years) and was originally a wine bar. Today it was morphed into a wine bar/restaurant. We ordered the pizza which was hand made thin crust that you could see the chef was very particular about taste as well as presentation. It was delicious. Also the mixed drinks were hand made. Let me start this review out stating we are still here and this will be a updated review in progress. We arrived at 715 on a Friday place was full but we were first on the waiting list. Tables were empty but not being cleaned. We finally seated ourselves at one of the dirty tables and waited for them to come clean it. Our drink order was taken around 745 and our food order taken around 810. We ordered appetizers, salad, and pizzas. We received our appetizers around 830 and it is now 9 and we were just given our salads. The food has been good and I can tell servers are doing there best. The kitchen has to get it together. Update food came for our group around 910 except mine which afterwards was evident they forgot to make. This was absolutely not worth a $100 dollar meal! read more

From appetizers to deserts, everything we ordered was consistently good -- an experience we had nowhere else on these shores and islands during our week-long stay. The cocktails were delicious and perfectly potent, the interior is laid-back swanky with mason-jar lights, wooden ceiling fans, and wine bottle trees. Our server Carly was prompt and genuinely friendly. Our pizza was covered in prosciutto and arugula, and hit that perfect balance we seek from the toppings, cheese, crust and sauce. But the piece-de-resistance was my salted caramel pretzel brownie with salted caramel gelatto on top -- happy birthday to me indeed. It's not hard to see why the place is packed with baby boomers kicking back and getting lightly schnookered.
