Came here for a quick lunch. It was recommended for lunch by some locals. When we walked in at 1:30 pm, we noticed that it was pretty busy. That's always a good sign. This is a bar/restaurant. They had a pizza special that was a BLT pizza. It was really tasty, but the edges of the crust were bitter from being burnt. While I love an oven baked pizza, not a fan of the burnt edges. The Cobb salad was plentiful and fresh. Our servers were good. They definitely attended more to other tables. Maybe because we weren't locals. We will be in the area again, and will give this another try. read more

Do not order the nachos or split your payment. The nachos look amazing but it is layers of dry chips underneath. They didnt bring a bill just loudly came to the table and told us our amounts due. Paid half cash half card and she couldn't do math, apparently so very loudly said "So you are only leaving a $4 tip". Made paying a horrible and embarrassing experience. The food was so good we went back two more times!! The whiskey selection is limited, but the apple whiskey sour was good. I also had the Blackberry Rita when I went back and it was very good as well! The service was excellent and fast. The food was hot, it was delicious, and kept us coming back. The restaurant is a little crowded especially the night we went and there was live music. Attended a relatively busy evening at the brick house. Sat upstairs, they were noticing just so we figure it would be a wait. Got served our beers relatively quickly and put in a food and appetizer order. One 1/2 of our party received their food over an hour after ordering. The server said "your pizza is I don't know where". It will be noted that other tables seemed to be having trouble getting their food at this time. Several tables left. After another 30 minutes went up to cancel our order, to which they said- "if it's gonna be soon want it to go?". When they brought the check to us they said "so..." took our check and credit cards and left- only charged for the beers. Would love to taste the pizza some day. This place was recommended buy the nice lady who I rented a condo from, and she said if ya want the best pizza in all of port Clinton go to the brick house. Hmmm, I thought I really like pizza, but it's summer, what the heck it's a 15 min walk, so I stepped out and made the trek, the place is busy and has that small town good vibes type of feel. So I walk in sit at the end of the bar to order my food and have a beverage. The bar tender was doing a great job, attending to everyone and in walks me, the out of towner, but this gentleman of a bartender was not flustered and it was busy, and he helped me order 80$ worth of food. Yes I know I min on the lake, but the fish was a must and was great, I got extra tarter sauce which I love order some onion rings which were a great choice, recommend by the bartender as well, then I ordered a salad, cheese in the side for my children I told them and wings, 2 pizzas, a deluxe, I always order a deluxe anywhere to see what the place has going on, a pep for my girls, bartender again informs me, one size pizza, I said oh that makes it easy. Usually not a fan of pizza places that do that, but hey, it's a busy place, not usually a fan of pizza in the summer, but man was I impressed, they put my order together in lest than 30 mins. And the kitchen help got me bags to carry all those extras and I carried the pies in my right hand. It was a short walk and the pizzas are real harder, they are good flat pizzas, lots of toppings sauce was ok, it's bar pizza, and they cut the pie in the sense of every shape you can get out of a circle, which makes this pizza great for take home and eat at a lake condo type pizza. It was good, I would go back, get onion rings, again, a sausage onion mushroom pizza, and walleye! On a side note when left with my 80$ order, me being the forgetful traveler that I am, I left my phone in the bar. Walked back, ate my pizza, fell asleep, woke up at sunrise and was like duh.... I waited till 11am walked back, and this really nice bartender, was like how are you!!! And I sat down in the same seat at the bar, expressed to her my forgetfulness, and she was ecstatic, we not only have 1 phone we have 2, and she laughed and asked me to describe my phone, and she had my phone, she could tell I was relived, and I Gave her a big hug!, thank you for that employee of "The brick house" This place will always get my praise, like where can you go, and leave or forget your stuff and it's still there the next day. And let me just say, it was busy at 11am, I mean it was like 11:20 and they already had tables for brunch, in which I read they have great breakfast brunch food. One of my new favorite places! Such a cute bar/restaurant. The giant pretzel is amazing and so is the cheese sauce. I had a pulled pork sandwich with fries, and let me tell you - wow! Flavorful and all around great. They even get the buns locally (next door) at the Yellow House Bakery. Our server was very nice and attentive - great service. I do wish that they had the Loaded Bloody Mary's available during the week and not just on Sunday's! But that's just an excuse for me to go back next week. Everything about this restaurant was fabulous! Our server, Jennifer, we can't say enough about her! We felt like our friend waited on us the whole time she gave us great suggestions and nothing disappointed. Food was spectacular. And, it was the day of the eclipse so it was busy But, you never would've known because she was such a pro and clearly so is the kitchen because the food came out in such timely manner. 5 Stars for our waitress Rachel alone and the place deserves 5 stars as well. We stopped at a busy time for some pizza and rare have I seen a waitress work so hard but keep up a friendly disposition. The 12" pizzas were enough for both of us but we ordered two as we wanted to try a couple of the house specials. They were cooked perfectly and tasty ingredients especially the sausage and roasted red peppers. We were able to sit upstairs and could enjoy the music from the concert on the street through the walls which made it a good decibel level. direct sever and associates were wonderful but the bartender is a drag on this business. changed multiple TV's from a NASCAR race that was two laps from the end to a baseball game not featuring the Indisns/guardians or any remotely local team, and chuckled in the customers faces who protested the action. What a clown show he is. Also drew the wrong beer for a customer and when asked to replace it with the correct beer was condescending and gave opinion he was not wrong. Music was too loud and not suitable for the age of the crowd. More than once our table heard customers say they were going upstairs due to the volume. Ownership and management need a clue. the place might have been near capacity but as limited options were available, changes are necessary if co tinyation of the business is expected. take your customers for granted as you may but don't be surprised if you lose in the end. read more

I stopped in here last night with my boyfriend as part of the Port Clinton "Sip n Shop" event. We had seen this opened recently within the past few months and just had to get inside for a bite to eat!! The vibe inside is super modern yet also old school industrial. There's lots of yummy beers on tap including local microbrews and domestics. The menu is small and focused, consisting of pizzas, sub sandwiches, salads, and typical bar appetizers like garlic bread, nachos, and pretzels. My boyfriend and I were shocked to see they still had Twin Oast Apricatawba on tap, which is my favorite PC beer, as it is usually a more seasonal summer brew. We each got a huge mug of frosty cold beer for $7, not bad at all, and was so refreshing. We were torn on what pizza to get but we settled on one of the specials, Cheeseburger Pizza! We chose to get it on the 12" house crust and it was the perfect amount of thickness. I'm not much a fan of thin crust but it's also an option and you could also get a cauliflower one if you have gluten sensitivities. Very nice and accommodating!! Omg this pizza though!! When our server brought it out, I immediately smelled the fresh pickles on top, that made my mouth water. There was also chunks of ground beef, tomatoes, and a sauce drizzled on top that was a mixture of ketchup, mustard, and Mayo. It was such a delectable texture and flavor, it literally had that amazing all-American burger flavor that we all know and love. It was one of the best pizzas I've had in quite a long time. There were some parts of the crust that were a bit too charred for my taste but I got over it, overall the pizza was a great companion to the frosty cold beer. For two people, our total bill came to $30, very affordable and the portions were fulfilling. I definitely want to come back and get another 'za and potentially an appetizer.
