This place back in the day was the CPI. How many people remember this, I do not know, but I am so happy they reopened and renovated it. It's a great venue for practically anything you need. We went for a comedy show and it was awesome! I love this venue and will definitely be back for other events they have coming up. We saw Joe Devito the night we went, and for those who don't know him, he is hysterical! He's also such a nice down to earth guy who hung out with us for a while after the show. He talked to us, took pictures with us, and was just like one of us! I also liked the fact that when I took a picture with him, he wasn't that much taller than me! He's so cute and very, very funny! The entire staff that night was also awesome, very friendly and seemed to really have fun that night as well. We will definitely be back :-)

What an amazing space! I came here for a comedy show on Valentines weekend and was blown away by the ambiance. It felt like I was going to a high end gala, yet everyone was super down to earth and friendly. It was well worth the drive from Nassau county! I can't wait to check out the restaurant next time.

    Bright and cheerful decor.

FINALLY found a restaurant and lounge that offers a fun, welcoming, atmosphere and serves a variety of delectable foods. Enjoy a romantic dinner, a relaxing evening with friends or a special event in one of their 4 dining areas. My husband and I, along with a few friends celebrated a birthday in The Study, and Josh made sure our evening was perfect. The Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is surely a hidden gem!

I came here for a wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. The food was great too, but I'm not sure if the food was catered by the same place or if it was brought in. The employees here were well mannered, polite, and very accommodating. Everything from the outside part to the inside of the venue was well put together. The only thing I didn't particularly like was how the bathrooms were hidden, and I was so confused about was, how to find it that I went through so many doors. All in all, this is a great place to have an event.

Just hosted our holiday Christmas party in their restaurant for my business and I can't even describe how great of an experience. From the food, oh the food, to the service, the evening was impeccable. They are so festive in their decor and even have an amazing Christmas room for rent. I immediately booked for my son and his wife as a Christmas present! They cannot wait!

Canoe place is the best of what the Hamptons has to offer. The restaurant itself is located in one of the oldest inns in America so the vibe in the atmosphere are very cute and welcoming. The restaurant itself has an indoor and outdoor area and I will just say the outdoor area is adorable. If you can get seated there do it - they have live music and a really cute patio area. The food itself is great. It's new American style and done really well. I highly recommend the whipped ricotta, any of the pizzas, and the risotto was great too. And service was also fantastic. This is such a great, reliable spot. I will definitely be returning. And it feels like a hidden gem.

It is also a perfect winery for larger groups as they have an indoor and outdoor tasting area. This place is just beautiful. We sat on the porch looking out over the vineyard like we were in the Alexander Valley. Honestly, we have done the North Fork trail more but will now be a SOFO family as well. Helene and I both enjoy a good Chardonnay and "Wolffer's Pearl" is great, A chard with tremendous body and depth. We had the honor of being on a European Wine Cruise with the wine maker. Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. This was a small price to pay for the wonderful experience we had. KUDOs to the team at Wolffer Estate Vineyard

NEVER AGAIN!! The GOOD:…read moreLocation Atmosphere Taste of food offered The Bad: Food quantity for the price!! After my partner's friend told him about this place and how it was wonderful, all you can eat (he went to a meat offered menu) we chose to try the shellfish and champagne on August 15th. Again the venue is wonderful the setup was beautiful there was oysters on the half shell and those seem to be very plentiful but we didn't over eat on those we wanted to save for the main meals which was supposed to be halibut Lobster, &scallops. when we got there the menu card added herbed crusted chicken for some reason. Everything was family style, truthfully, the chicken platter had the most plentiful amount of food on it!! Of which I took one piece of chicken breast and whatever vegetables sauteed with it I think they were just mushrooms, my partner took none of the chicken cuz he didn't want to fill up on chicken. The white meat was dry the sauteed vegetables were delicious and when eating with the chicken it was palatable. Then my partner and I got ONE SMALL scallop each, the family style "platter" that came out had FIVE scallops on them so he and I both took one as did the couple across from us and then the last one was taken by another couple next to us which is fine because we share family "platters", those five scallops were not meant just for my partner and I, they were meant for the vicinity of where we were sitting which was 10 of us. I think the long table held about 40 on one side 40 on the other. The lobster, same thing, luckily I got one piece which was a white meat and I split that in half to my partner and it wasn't a lot it was literally, for me, two bites and he got some claws which I never tasted and they were so tiny!! the halibut again small pieces on the family style "platter" I took one he took one and then later he took another one that was still sitting on the platter, I think maybe 6/7 pieces were on that platter. Honestly I've tasted better halibut it was on the dry side unfortunately. So for the money,$150 EACH, we expected family style portions even if they weren't going to be filled after the first time at least give us a family style portion and when the guy across the table from us asked about getting more Lobster the wait staff said "I'll have to see", of course none ever came. When my partner asked if more scallops were coming the wait staff said "I don't think so"... so all in all it was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid per person, we will never do that again or recommend it. His friend either gas lit us or his night of a meat dinner family style "platters" were very significant!!
