Nobody's reviewed Canturbury Leather yet? Well, I'll be... Sure, this location is lesser-known than it's counterpart in Chatham, but I think it's better. Bigger, with better parking and less of a crowd, I shop here for everything from sandals to jewelry and love every minute of it. They have an amazing selection of Birkenstocks and Naot sandals, while also keeping an ever rotating cast of newer, trendier sandals in stock. They also carry Minnetonka moccasins for those who know how comfey those deer skin things can be. Love. There's also a really gorgeous array of earrings, and ever since I was a kid I remember coming here with My Mother and sister to pick out several -they're inexpensive and really stunning. There's also something for everyone. I highly recommend this shop for gift-buying -it's worth the half-mile drive up from Orleans Center, and Nauset Sports is just across the parking lot, which makes me even happier. read more

My husband bought me a wonderful pair of slippers there to spare me from our Cape Cod cold wood floors (in winter). I bought some Smart Wool socks during their sale. Also, my husband found a pair of Sperry shoes there he wanted to show me. We went in, I looked and said we could probably drive up to Hyannis and get them at Macy's for less money. Went in this afternoon to the Orleans location with the intention of spending about $100-200 on a pair or two of high quality sandals. The clerk pretended to dust and rearrange shelves a foot and a half away from me for several minutes while I browsed. I realize she's tracking me as a potential shoplifter, so I turn,smile, look her straight in the eye, and say, "hey hi, can *I* help *you* with anything?" She smiles and continues staring at me. Is she high? Bored? Is there nothing else to do but hover wordlessly? Tried on a pair of Birks I loved, she's still staring. I go to put them in the box because I'm going to continue shopping, see if I can find another set of sandals I like. She finally speaks up, "oh, you're all set?" "Nope," I say, so she takes the box out of my hands. "Well then I'll just put these away for you." You gotta be kidding me, right? Maybe I should've worn my pearls instead of shorts and a tee shirt? read more

If you do shop here make sure you check your order to be sure everything is in your purchase bag. At the Chatham store an item "disappeared" it wasn't in our bag. After sending an email to main store in Orleans Tobin asked a couple questions then after my reply nothing! It's like they thought I would pick a 23.00 item off my receipt and try to stiff them. I would never go back to their establishments. My opinion they don't care about the customers Just their money. read more

One of the worst establishments on Cape for leather goods. The staff, lets just say they are the most distant, rudest, ill informed, and horrible staff on cape cod. They are completely ambivalent to helping. They don't greet you, and many times I have been in here and they have rudely ignored my greetings. They present their products like they are high end, when, if you google them, the majority of their lower priced jackets are hiked up in cost. The shoe selection is poor, and they will often guide you to the wrong size, even though you insist that they are wrong. I went in for advice on one of their jackets, purchased four years previously that has faded. They gave me a conditioner. It did nothing. I returned and they insisted that it 'should have worked'. They are rude and have limited knowledge of the very products that they sell. read more

brought my 91 yr. old mother in and found the items we wanted. My mother, on medication asked to use the restroom. It was urgent. The two women sales clerks told her absolutely not. It is not for customers. These two women were never helpful from the start. They never even asked if we needed help! They told my mother to go to a nearby burger joint and use their restroom. We walked out and told them they lost two sales. They didn't care. This place doesn't deserve your business. read more

Went in here to purchase 2 pairs of Uggs for Christmas gifts. I always like to shop local whenever possible. Walked in, no hello or greeting from the two women behind the counter. Ok... Began looking for what I wanted, had to search through boxes... Finally found what I was looking for, on my own, without even a "may we help you find something?" This is retail 101 people, and these folks don't seem to even care. I just left my boxes in a random spot of the store, left, went home & purchased the same items on Amazon. read more
