Food and service are spot on! Ordered the chaufa mixto with beef and asparagus and the chicken sandwich and shared the tres leches cake. Aaaaamazing! Flavors are authentic and portions were perfect! For drinks, ordered the pisco sangría and and a sangríta. Both drinks were picture perfect and yummy. The pisco sangría was super refreshing. Let's put it this way the food and drinks were so good I ordered more to take home. Must also recognize the service was wonderful, attentive without being overbearing. So freaking good! As a Peruvian American, I can say the dishes I had were pretty authentic and really good! We have the beef anticuchos(amazing), papa à la huancaina(decent/had better but would still recommend) and lastly the tallarines verde(this usually comes with steak but the breaded chicheen was amazing and surprising sweet). Beside the great food, the waiter was super sweet and the aesthetic is cute. Definitely costs a bit more for the area but worth it, definitely coming back soon. read more

Well the food is just OK, mediocre I ended up going across the street for chimichurri! $9 for a beer is expensive and $35 Lomo Saltado? What? They are charging Bushwick prices! Like LLama Inn - but with less quaility or just meh! Arroz chaufa $19, go to queens, Chifa Rest. And get real chifa for $7.95 Anyway, I will go again next year hope you guys do a real cost card. Excellent cafe - food flavor and presentation, friendliness of staff, attentiveness, casual but vibrant decor. Stopped through with a friend to brunch while in the neighbor. The food and drinks both get 5 Stars Prices / Portions : The waiter and waitress both told us the plates are for sharing, and that 1 plate can feed 2-4 people. We thought this must be true because $35.00 a plate is on the more expensive side of restaurant prices (especially in the area). So we ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees for 4 people. The plates are NOT for sharing . The plates are not big at all. We loved it all, but left hungry... Price wasn't the issue , the problem was that we ordered believing 2 plates would be more than sufficient, and they were totally not. I would highly recommend they do not tell people that the plates are for sharing, and just let people order their own plate. We will be returning, but ordering 1 app and 1 entree each :) read more

I came here Sunday because my sister wanted a drink. Got a margarita to go & tried the Sangria. Now im giving this place 1 star based on the chaste bartender. The drink was 10 & change being that I wanted to give him a tip and only had 11$ I used my card. He asked me if I needed a receipt after paying with my cc I told him no. I got change for a 10 & have him $2 cash tip. You know he had the nerve to add an additional tip on my credit card. Smh I have not called my bank yet because I do not want to wait for a replacement card etc. But how does a person add their own tip to a receipt. That's crazy I've never had that done to me before. I was so shocked. I wish I asked for a copy I know it's hRd times but you do not cheat ppl. It is bad for business! read more

I want to start with saying the service was great, the young lady was very helpful and attentive. It was pretty busy on a Sunday and she was there managing the whole place alone -.- ! This was a pretty chill spot to catch up with friends and have a few drinks. Food is also really good, I ordered a Passion Fruit Margarita, Anticuchos and fries. Unfortunately I can't give 0 Stars. Yesterday I had a the worst experience with customer service. The waitress was very rude. I have never been made to feel so bad. Since we arrived the waitress was very apathetic and indifferent, however we ordered 1 lomo Saltado, 2 Tacu Tacu, 1 order of Papas a la Huncaina also 1 order of fries and 3 Frozen Margaritas. We spent almost $200, She brought us the check after 45 minutes, telling us that this was the time limit to be in the restaurant. She practically ran us off saying that they needed the table, the saddest thing is that the restaurant was empty, there were only 2 occupied tables counting mine. We hadn't even finished eating, and we thought we'd order something extra btw the tip was already included in the check (18%) for a terrible service. This is the last time I'm coming and I don't recommend anyone to come, it's just not worth it because they include the tip on your check and not satisfied with that, they suggest you give more tips. It's a theft! The worst thing is that the waiters do not even deserve what they ask for since they give Horrible customer service I NEVER COME BACK AGAIN! read more

Love this new spot! I am totally coming back to try more of the menu. The place is so inviting and the decor and murals are so well thought out. The server was very informative and attentive. The entree that we picked was the seafood rice dish, which was delicious and the lomo saltado was PACKED with flavor. The real surprises were the appetizer the beef hearts and ceviche were amazing! I had been craving Lomo Saltado. Lost my go-to spot during COVID so decided to give this place a chance. The LS was tasty indeed but didnt come with the Verde sauce it typically does. That was disappointing. The Rotisserie chicken was VERY dry. You could see the dryness before even eating it. Packed well for takeout. Cocktails were good particularly the Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita. The Tres leches was just okay. Probably wouldn't order from here again, at least not for take out. As someone who's parents are Peruvian, mother born and raised there, cooks authentic dishes from the motherland, a father who was a chef for years, and having eaten at superb authentic Peruvian restaurants, I know good food. Cantina 33 fails miserably. After reading the chef's bio, wanting to show support, and treating my mother on Mother's Day 2022, I thought to check this place out. I ordered the papa a la huancaina, a signature Peruvian appetizer, rotisserie Peruvian style chicken, and other side dishes and it was no bueno. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian food, don't go here. If you want low grade non authentic Peruvian food, you'd be better off going to the restaurant next to them, Rico Pollo. If I could say something to the chef at Cantina 33, I would say echo one of Gordon Ramsay's signature words: "Give me your jacket." read more

Food is fresh and delicious, Peruvian with a splash of fusion. Drinks are delicious and strong. I always for the Moscow mule or the frozen sangria-margarita mix. Happy hour prices aren't really happy lol (if you know what I mean). The prices are a high for a local venue. read more

The food is acceptable. The prices way too expensive for the area and for the quantity. Lomo Salteado $35 and not even 10 ounces of meat, not even in Manhattan(!!!!!!)... Most of the Peruvian restaurants greet you with their traditional cancha corn, here there is nothing that says welcome. Service was decent. I understand quality has the price, but you cant overprice food. The music is horrible and super loud (reggaeton, really?) no taste and it does not go with the mood of a nice restaurant, including the lighting. The table setting is like they want all in your face and fake plastic plants, sometimes less is better. The drink menu is also pricey. The place does not have identity. If you want to have a more casual restaurant and be different from "the hood" maybe you need to understand the area where you are located. read more

A friend of mine suggested I swing by Cantina 33, she worked with the chef/owner. My wife and I went for dinner on a Friday, the place had a nice crowd and the bar was full. We got sat quickly by our friendly server (unfortunately cant remember her name). The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and you got the sense they were going for modern Peruvian. The prices were a bit steep but looking at what they were serving it certainly made sense. The food was incredible and portion sizes were great. We'll be back for cocktails and appetizers next time! read more

Ventured out on a Sunday evening to this new neighborhood joint for a quick dinner. This evening getting a table was relatively easy as the place was only about a third of the way packed. I can see this not being the case in the summer time. I had a frozen passion fruit margarita. My friend had a whiskey sour. Both drinks were well made. I ordered the pork tacos and he had pork burritos. The tacos were good- though a little on the small side. I do want to note that I did not leave there hungry but if you're used to more food order the burrito. It was definitely a nice size. There is a parking lot next door- though whether it belongs to the restaurant or the neighboring establishment I'm not quite sure. The ambience is very "Mexican Restaraunt" but I love it. I think this will be a great hang out especially in the summer. The prices were reasonable. They except cash and credit. Ill definitely be back. Really enjoyed it. read more

Yours was the best I've had in the neighborhood but $13 is a little steep for Myrtle Ave. Waitress did not know how must of the items on the menu were prepared or what they were for that matter. All the food was delicious, and the seafood was cooked perfectly! The fried seafood was my favorite, a little spicy, crispy, and still so tender. Next time we will have to try the meats! I give this place two stars because there biggest problem is pricing. The food is good but not worth the price. My wife and i ordered steak dishes. Both steaks were tough. I wouldn't mind this if the dish was 1/2 the price. In fact i would have came back if the price was cut in half. I just couldn't get over having this kind of mediocre food at that price. Went in with my Girlfriend to eat some Peruvian style food and have a drink or two. We was greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant by both bartender and waiter and was given traditional Cancha Corn. We ordered Papa A La Huancaina as an appetizer and a steak with papa and it was very delicious and well presented and cooked, that you dont even need a steak knife to cut the steak. The seasoning is like no other place, unique flavors that leaves you wanting more. The only problem I had was the drink I ordered was a Whiskey Sour, the bartender over poured more sour/bitter making you not really taste the whiskey. The Chef/Owner would come out and present himself, we was honored on meeting the owner and chef of Cantina 33. Would recommend to friends and family to go eat and drink their.
