This place actually surprised. I went here for a friend's birthday and enjoyed the experience. I usually had negative experiences with the food for places that place an emphasis on having photo walls but the food here was actually really good. They gave a really good portion size as well. The drinks were strong but not really there taste wise. The servers were are nice and attended to us all night. Then the vibe there was also good too. They had a bartender there singing on the mic along with the songs but it wasn't that obnoxious singing you hear at some places. I would def recommend trying if you are looking for a lowkey spot in the neighborhood.

I visited this restaurant twice in one week. The food is delicious, the venue is very clean and has a beautiful ambiance. Music is played and not too loud so you are able to talk with anyone you're visiting with .

We didn't make reservations and just walked in since it was a Wednesday night. It was a nice atmosphere with the layout of the place that was decorated vibrantly. There's plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. There are televisions by the bar playing different channels, so if you want anything in particular, just let them know. Service wise, there was one lady doing everything, and she was managing it very well. We gave her a nice tip bc of her hard work. Food wise, I did enjoy the guacamole with plantain and yucca chips. I enjoyed it a lot and finished the chips, plus the waitress was nice enough to bring out more since we had extra guacamole for no charge. I had the Pulpo a la parrilla since I wanted something light and not so heavy to eat. It was good. Last but not least, I had the three leches de mango cake. That was just alright, but the other two dishes were great. They have a happy hour menu, which gives you a better deal for the buck. For brunch, there's an ayc drink. I suggest if you want different types or crowds to try those out. .

Stopped by without a reservation and was able to be seated quickly. Party of 4. The food and drinks were delicious! Definitely Latin fusion - there's Puerto Rican, Colombian, Peruvian food. Appetizers - the croquettas with oxtail, amazing! A highlight. Main- all the dishes were delicious and savory. Good portions. Dessert- the tres leches was disappointing. The cake was grainy I'm not sure why. Despite that everything else was great. Service was attentive and kind.

10/29/23: Looking for food drinks, food and vibes this is the place. OMG..one of the best passionfruit margarita I've had. People can I say how my tastebuds were rocked with this TRIFONGO seafood dish. Sweet Plantain green plantain and yuca all together.pure deliciousness. Multitude of food was consumed. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Waitstaff was on point , friendly knowledgeable and pleasant. Also DJ on premise..aka sweet elderly gentlemen streaming music. He tell me anything I want to hear just ask him..lol Definitely looking forward on returning.

We were in the area around 5pm looking for a good happy hour. My boyfriend found this place, HH looked great, so we popped in! We wanted some food (there were HH food options, available for bar seating only) so he sat at the bar. We promptly ordered the red and white sangrias for $7 each, along with the Alcapurias and Chicharrons de Pollo for $10 each. He's Puerto Rican, so I let him order. Everything was delicious! Very hot, very fresh, including the drinks. The Chicharrones de Pollo fell off the bone better than any chicken wing I've had. I'm not sure what the cut of meat was but whew, so good. The Alcapurias were stuffed full of meat and came with a delicious jalapeno ranch-like sauce, as did the chicken, although it wasn't needed for the latter. We're looking forward to coming back for more food! Major plus: we were gunna go to a bar to watch some soccer after, but they had the games on here. Great to know for future reference! A quick final note - we were charged a 3% non-cash fee on our final bill, which wasn't reflected on any of the menus as mandated by the NY state law. It was only noted on the bottom of our receipt, and "cash" means debit as well, according to the state. Disappointed we were still charged extra even though we paid debit.

My 2nd time coming here, but it's been a few years. I was a little disappointed they changed the decor with the coqui and big PR flag, but it's still pretty. Attentive service, large portions and good music. Didn't like that they have a photographer walked around. It isn't a theme park or a touristy spot like Margaritaville.

Authentic Puerto Rican food on the Northside. Delicious! The brunch is great too! My husband had the shrimp asopao and I had the shrimp in garlic butter sauce.

Great place to take a special someone. Parking is sketchy but her ,,, it's Brooklyn lol. The minute I walked in all my receptors were going off the house walk to the end, and we had a choice of sitting upstairs or downstairs. I chose up because I wanted to look down and be nosy lol. We had red sangria, which was delicious and it hit the spot. After that we ordered the Empanadas, & pork guacamole, big chunks of pork if you're into pork definitely recommended thinly sliced fried plantain chips to dip then we ordered our entrée. I had the miso glaze salmon Churrasco steak, which was delicious. The tip is included, so make sure you don't re-tip and the service was quick and the food was delicious. I'm definitely gonna go back.

I loved coming here for some of their delicious food, specially I had gotten their pernil which was bomb! I know they have a live DJ on the weekends which I'm so excited to come and see! The service was spectacular and well as the interior

Just stopped in for a quick app and some drinks for happy hour. Had the white sangria and I must say.... Whoa super strong. Loved them. Definitely would come back for more. Had the popcorn shrimp for a little taste. A little salty but very tasty. Wish it came with a different sauce for dipping. But tasty. Would like to come back for dinner eventually. Nice vibe.

All I have to say is more bread please. An amazing place to patronize. The staff is friendly. The ambiance was great as the wall open up to the outside. The food.... More bread please. Ok ok. Back to the food. The food was great, seasoned great and great presentation. The portions look small compared to a traditional Spanish restaurant. But trust and believe, that's not the case. You will be stuffed when you leave here put it in the repeat list!!

If you're looking for a filling meal, no need to look any further. Guarapo's brunch has you covered! The amount of food you're provided is ridiculous. They offer a bottomless option of red/white sangria, Bellini, or mimosas. Not only do you get bottomless drinks they also give you a shareable appetizer platter of fried chicken, fried calamari, fried pork, 2 types of empanadas and a potato pastry followed by your entrée. All of that for a pre-fixed price of $40!!! The decor is Puerto Rican themed and they have the cutest dj, DJ Conchi Classico (the legend) playing Spanish music. I had a good time and left stuffed! I've been there 2 weekends in a row.

The $30 Voucher that I got Charged from Yelp that the restaurant didn't Honor!!

We tried The Don and PAPAYA EN LA PLAYA. The Don is on the sweet side and the papaya en la playa is on the less sweet side but still that fruity taste. For the starters we did the ceviche and the blue crab tostada. Both 10/10. The tostada is a tad on the lemony side For the main dish we had the carne Asada and catch of the day. The steak was perfect great flavor but the salt added on at the top was a bit too much. The catch of the day was branzino it was really good the skin had a nice crunch to it the coconut sauce was good but more was needed. The fish comes by its self so ordered a side of rice and pink beans. Most of there dishes don't come with and side and to spend $42-$50 on a plate I should at least get some kind of side.

I noticed the menu was slightly different from a while ago. The shrimp with the tostones was amazing. The flavor of the juice was out of this world and paired perfectly together. The ambiance is also 'chic' and cute so very nice for dates, a night out with the girls, celebrating an event or birthday of course.

I was surprised (in a good way) that a fork, knife and spoon was automatically provided. Most restaurants only place a fork and knife on the table and I always have to request a spoon with my meal. This tissi had beautifully charred skin and tender, white meat. It was love at first bite. The chunk meat is fairly large and it will make a great leftover meal for the next day. As a bonus, a tall pitcher of complimentary chilled water is provided. This location only accepts cash, so please plan accordingly. Everyone agreed with my suggestion to eat Latin American food and we made a reservation at Buena Vista, not far away from our hotel and also not far from the theater. We came over a bit early, around 5:15 and were immediately seated. We were immediately impressed by the business model. It is a melange of Latin American and Iberian faire with exquisite curation. Their cocktails were absolutely delightful, I had a Pantalones en Fuego, others had an exquisite margarita with passion fruit flavor and a Daiquirí de Fresa, just amazing. Then we ordered interminable Hors d'oeuvres. Their ham croquetas and mushroom croquetas were the rage, as well as the tostoncillos ibéricos and ceviche limeño, The main courses followed, a paella valenciana for two, the magret de pato, a delicious duck dish, and a grilled Argentine parrilla. Not bad for four people. Dessert included churros and tres leches. And of course, a bottle of a great Verdejo. Service was just flawless. We had several staff members all contributing to making our Father's Day evening special.
