Make the walk up the hill one night and you will not be disappointed. Rocco the owner is salt of the earth and one of the most sincere Italian hosts u will ever meet. My wife ordered a glass of wine, but we were given a large closed carafe of Table Wine. Large portions and fabulous food, fish, bruschetta, BBQ. Andre ( Rocco's brother in law ) entertains with piano and if u want to have a party and sing karaoke this is the place. Make a night of it here. This place is very large and plenty of space to bring a large group. Don't forget the happiest dog you will see during the day on the main drag in Amalfi lives here too, his name is KIKO. His dining companionship is optional. :)

Authentic Italian cuisine in Amalfi. A bit of a walk as its on the far back side of town. But I promise, its worth the walk. And it tastes way better than any of the touristy places near the port.

You'll find this fantastic restaurant off the beaten path all the way at the end of the town of Amalfi. The dishes are delicious and the service excellent but what makes this place really special is the music, spontaneous karaoke, and the personal touch of Rocco the owner. One night while a dinner guest was singing, Rocco broke out some fun make-shift instruments for other guests to hop around and join along. We've been here 3 times in a week. All three times were different. What a great time!

Do yourself a favor and walk 10 minutes up the hill. Peaceful, great food, lovely terrace and reasonably priced.

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

They don't have anything marked GF on their menu but the server walked me through what I could have. My friend and I started with the La Caprese and they provided me with a GF baguette. For my entree I had the zucchini GF pasta. The pasta was good but the sauce was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't my favorite. My friend ordered the La Genovese with GF pasta and it was really enjoyable. They only had 1 GF dessert so we opted to get the lemon sorbet. They also brought out a few GF candies as well. Overall the service and views were really nice but I wasn't a fan of my entree.

We attempted to contact the restaurant via WhatsApp, which many Amalfi restaurants use for international guests. Unfortunately, Da Gemma wasn't reachable this way, and as international travelers, we had no reliable way to call them directly. The next day, we were charged a €60 no-show fee. Despite explaining the situation to Simone, the general manager, there was no flexibility or exception made. While we understand the need for cancellation policies, the lack of accessible communication and rigid handling of the situation was disappointing. International visitors may want to keep this in mind when making plans. There are many other welcoming and accommodating restaurants in Amalfi.

I had to order à la carte due to being a vegetarian and GF but my friend ordered from the tasting menu. The food and service were wonderful. We both ordered a glass of wine - I had the moscato. They have GF bread that was brought to the table. It was also made with the bruschetta. For my courses, I had the omelette with broccoli, pumpkin GF pasta, buffalo cheese with tomato under lemon leaves, a palate cleanser of strawberry ice cream, and chocolate mousse. We even got to try their Michelin best dessert of 2026 which was the lemon soufflé. It was decadent and delicious. We even had a tour of the kitchen to see the artwork on the ceiling. Overall our experience was cozy and sophisticated with its lemon infused dishes. Would highly recommend!
