Between our amazing appetizers and main dishes they brought a variety of lovely small bites that were incredible. The staff the music and the simple but new decor all fit in this mostly open air restaurant. As far as the mains, our group of four had Osso Buco, slow cooked brisket, shrimp and scallops. Each plate was perfectly prepared and looked as though an artist created it. If you have the chance to go to Aromas while in San Jose and are willing to be patient and enjoy a meal fully then this is a must do!!!

From the decor to the service, I felt taken care of. Me and my bestie were transported to another space and time where everything was right with the world. Once we were seated, we were transported into the realm of Mexican cuisine that went far beyond tacos,enchiladas and refried beans. The chef takes you on a tour of Mexico and he respects traditional foods but serves it through his interpretation. The results are breathtaking and he also incorporates dishes from other cultures with his own own spin. For example, we had a dish that looked like Indian Pani Puri, but tasted nothing like Pani Puri. Bravo! The flavors, the differences in temperature and the presentation. Awwwww! No words!!! SUSTAINABLE FARM BLUE ABALONE: 12/10 the presentation of the Michelin Star was so cute, but the flavors were so refreshingly light, the jalapeño wasn't too spicy, and the corn had such an amazing flavor. "WAGYU" TARTAR: 10/10 the shell was so different, but such an amazing take on it! The mustard seeds were perfect blend without too much acidity and the smoked cheese gave such a nice balance. Out of these items, the shrimp pastor tacos were my #1 favorite! These tacos were packed with flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Both of the main entrees were also great, and the portions here are very generous. Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. We ordered the T-Rex, the Piggy, corn, carbon vegetal, and dessert, and we also received an amuse-bouche to start our meal. Everything from start to finish was a culinary delight. Our server, Rodrigo, and the rest of the staff provided excellent service that truly elevated our experience. The T-Rex ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the remaining fat was later transformed into chicharron paired with lemon and pickled onion. It would be easy to say that was the favorite dish of the evening, but each dish shined on its own. Needless to say, everything we saw, ate, and drank was crafted to perfection for a beautiful experience. We loved bringing our kids into this fine dining environment and were happy to celebrate our son's birthday here, where Rodrigo and the staff made it an unforgettable evening.

I ate about half of this but boxed the rest and went for the molten chocolate cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Wow, it was all great!
