    Popcorn Chicken and Japchae
    Lucy N.

Stopped by the Auburn Hills location and was a little bummed they didn't have soup, but still left super satisfied. I got the Korean popcorn chicken with soy glaze and japchae. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the japchae had a great texture and taste. Portions were generous and definitely worth the price. It's a casual, clean spot for a quick Korean bite. Staff was friendly!

I love this place! Faster food counter option with bright sunny seating. Communal larger size tables and window bar seating. Awesome food. I am never disappointed. The bulgogi and spicy pork tacos are my fave. The sassy ot kimchi fries are always delicious.

clean bright dining room with a bar around the windows and several big tables. Quick fast counter service and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Kimchi fries were excellent would to order them again. The chicken sandwich was fantastic, just the right mix of crisp and juicy.

    Looks okay, tastes pretty meh.

Wanted to try this place for some time. Hit it up on the way home after a long day. Cashier and delivery of my Bulgogi in a box was quick and personable. No issues there. But most of the food was dull and lacking in flavor. Salad was ok, noodles we're likely the best part. Rice was, well it's rice, but I added a good bit of salt. The star of the show was supposed to be the meat but it lacked the tangy marinaded flavor one expects from bulgogi. It was stringy with fat/gristle and watery in the metal box. I scarfed it down, but it could have been better. I kept thinking frozen Trader Joe's IS BETTER. I'll try it again because I think they have Korean wings at a better price point than some other local places, but the bulgogi was a miss.

I got the spicy pork kimchi box and it was amazing. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was ready when I got there at 13 minutes. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

Tried the bulgogi box ($15) for takeout. Pros: -Good Portions Cons: -Maybe it was a bad night but everything just seemed sort of stale. The rice was hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. The jap chae had a funny rancid taste. The bulgogi I think was precooked and reheated on the pan. -The entire staff was on their phones when I ordered and prepared my food which was off putting.

This was a good place to eat. They give you a a lot of food. My favorite on this dish was the noodles and of chicken. The chicken was lightly fried and had good good flavor. However, the chicken could've used more sauce but it was extra money to do that. They also always give you a surprise side dish. Mine was oranges. The rice was ok and the salad was ok nothing to brag about. The service was good . No wait time.

Nice variety of unique Korean options. Not fast food, but you do order at the counter. They were doing a steady carryout business when we stopped in, but our order waa still ready in about 5 minutes. My bulgogi taco was delicious- and huge! I would have liked some hot sauce, so should have added that. My husband had the Bimibop which was a very large portion and full of ingredients- not in a stone bowl but still yummy. The standout was my son's chicken sandwich. Delicious!!! Well worth a stop if you want a healthier and tastier alternative to fast food.

Quick service!!! We arrived when there was a few people in line. We didn't wait long to get to the counter to make our order. Lots of options. Food arrived super fast. Great spot for a quick lunch. The kimchi bop was plenty of food!

Was super excited to try this place out but it unfortunately did not live up to its hype. The kimchi fries were basically just plain fries drenched in sauce with the tiniest bit of kimchi that wasn't even flavorful. Chicken was good but not the kind of good that I'd want to willingly order again. I'd rather stick to the classic Korean fried chicken chains.

If you're thinking about stopping...do it! The food was amazing and their prices are reasonable. Customer service was good, they didn't mince me asking what every dish I saw was The corn dogs are amazing! We got the crispy potato one and it was so crispy. The addition on sugar was a pleasant surprise, salty sweet The fried dumplings are great, so crisp but juicy on the inside. The Bulgogi was great and I can't wait to go back.

I got the classic tonkotsu ramen and it was really good! The broth was flavorful and complex, the pork was tender, and the egg perfectly jammy. Apparently they make their noodles fresh everyday. The price of a ramen bowl was on par with what I'm used to (~$20 with tax + tip) but the sushi seemed a little pricey. I will have to come back to try it.

You won't find the Americanized dishes like General Cao's chicken, but you will find one of the best presented but also deliciously tasted Peking duck - one of the most recognizable and celebrated Chinese dishes. I also love that they serve many dishes in porcelain chafing dishes to keep food warm, as foods taste better when they are kept warm. My personal favorites: lobster steamed with egg, eggplant and string bean stir fry and happy family soup. The desserts are great too. Check out photos for more. Ambiance: This is the standout among Chinese restaurants in Michigan. Many Chinese restaurants are out-dated. It is like you step into restaurants in China in 1990s. This gives you a more current fine-dining experience atmosphere. The large video screen in the main dining room also allows you to customize the image or video for your occasion, should you choose to celebrate a special event there. Service: It is not top notch, but it is get job done. The servers are friendly. Noteworthy: There are two floors. You may not know there is a large 14 seats private dining room downstairs with large TV screen. Great for private celebration. There is an elevator that you can use for those who don't want to climb stairs. The 8-seat Majiang themed room is beautifully designed. There are also two small dining rooms perfectly for an intimate gathering. Final verdict: after visiting more than 10 times, this is a review long overdue! Their sign is easy to see as you drive by, but my friend did give me a heads up that their door was not obvious. You need to walk through a fence and then open a non deacript door. The artwork outside is awesome! When we walked in we received a friendly greeting and were quickly shown to our seats. We had made a reservation ahead of time and there was no delay to seat us upon our arrival. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders right away. I appreciated that they had multiple non alcoholic drinks and at a fair price. I started with the Thai Iced tea which was delicious, but I would have loved a glass 2x the size! We ordered multiple dishes to share amongst us. I did ask the server how many dishes they recommended that we order as I wasn't sure of the size. The items are brought out as they are made, so we had food being dropped off to is at random intervals. The only slight issue we experienced was when someone else tried to bring a plate of squid to our table. We let them know that we had not ordered it. They then went and talked to our server, who brought the squid back to our table. We also let them know that we had not ordered that dish. Our server did bring back our order slip and looked it over, and I believe at that point they realized that we really had not ordered that dish and just weren't rejecting it. I am not sure if it had been written wrong, communicated to the kitchen wrong, or what but we did have to state multiple times that we had not ordered it. The rest of our dishes arrived correctly. The crispy chive cakes were great, and the sticky spare ribs were AMAZING. The caramel glaze on the outside of the ribs was so good, and they were tender as well. The outside was super crispy. I would absolutely ordered these again. I would say that both of those dishes were only for 2 people. The sticky rice and jasmine rice were as to be expected, and I personally felt that the papaya salad was not as good as others I have had. The chilli noodles had an amazing broth and I would also recommend. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner but I am not sure that I would go out of my way to return. I am rounding up to 4 stars based on the sticly ribs alone, otherwise a 3.5 would be more fair. I have been hearing about Takoi for years, so maybe my epxections were too high but I was expecting a bit more.

The menu is completely different. Sushi, which was the forte of the original Azumi, is no longer available.
