I came here after an awful experience at another place in Cobb's Corner. I haven't gotten my tailored items back yet, so hopefully my experience with that is better than other reviewers (stay tuned). I went over each item and pointed out stains I wanted them to remove - and in the end, I paid $40.80 to have 5 items dry-cleaned. Personally, I think this is a great deal. I found both the women I dealt with to be very friendly and pleasant. In addition, they helped me fix the zipper on my coat and did not charge me, which was kind. So far, one thing I did not like was the way they pinned my skirts to the hangers. I see why doing this instead of using proper pant or skirt hangers would be more cost effective for them, but I did not appreciate having quality items (that I just paid to get cleaned) get pin-holes in them. I have been going to canton cleaners for alterations for the past ten years. I recently brought a bridesmaid dress for alterations. I picked up the dress last week for a wedding this weekend. I kept the dress in the plastic and when I looked at it today (the day before the wedding) I noticed it was stained and ripping at one of the seams. I called to let them know and the woman who answered the phone told me that often times new dresses come stained and ripped from the manufacture. She did offer to look at the dress but I am away for the weekend for the wedding. She did NOT offer to refund any part of the $90 I spent on alterations. I will my be using this business again. read more

I started going to Canton Cleaners after a bad experience with another local business. I never really had any problems, even with the barely friendly service, but recently I noticed a problem ... a big problem. My just dry cleaned gray wool JCrew pants were shrunken so badly that when I put them on, the lining ripped. The pants were NOT tight when I dropped them off to be cleaned. And they are really nice, expensive wool pants that I've washed before, so no reason for this to happen. I don't know what they're doing over there, but be aware if you're dropping off clothes. read more

If you don't enjoy being annoyed and frustrated while you run errands, don't come here. I absolutely 100% recommend Celina's tailoring & dry cleaning on porter street in Stoughton. I came into this place hoping to have my 100% COTTON maxi skirt shortened a bit so it wouldn't drag on the floor anymore. The guy told me he would have to charge me AT LEAST $30 because of the thin material and because the bottom of the skirt was wide?? It was a regular maxi skirt I had purchased from target... So I told him that the place I had just come from would only charge me $18, but she wasn't going to be able to give it back to me for a week because her seamstress is sick. he told me I should just go back there because that was a good deal. Too bad I needed it in 3 days instead of in a week. anyways from there I looked up another close tailoring shop, and Celina's on Porter street in Stoughton came up, so I gave it 1 last shot. 3rd times a charm. not only is she the sweetest woman, but her shop just feels more personal and warm. you can just tell she knows what she's doing. I ended up paying 12 dollars, and she was going to have it ready before I needed it. you would think in this economy people would try their best to keep customers. Guess not. read more

Worst place, very expansive, took $45 to shorten a simple jumpsuit. Their cleaning is not good, all my husband shirts came back yellow on the collar. Done with this place. All what they care about is money and not the customer satisfaction. read more

Canton Cleaners does a great job on our dry cleaning and has a very fast turnaround. I've also had many garments tailored here - dresses and skirts taken in, pants hemmed, etc. The prices are great and the seamstresses do a lovely job. I have never had a problem with them in the 5 years we've been going here. read more

Overall I think this is a good place for dry cleaning in the Canton area. We had one issue where one of my husband's shirts was ripped during cleaning and they gave us a credit for the majority of what the shirt cost...and we were fine with that (the shirt wasn't new and we didn't have a receipt...so a credit for 85% of the original cost was fine). Their prices are competitive (from what I've seen) and overall, I'm happy with their service. So far, so good, and we've been going there for about a year now.They don't take credit cards so be sure to bring cash or a check. read more

I have given this place a few chances because it was convenient. It was a mistake as the people at this place cannot be trusted. If you try them you WILL have a problem and when you do they will be entirely unreasonable. I will go to the place down the street from now on. read more

I find the dry cleaning services are great. The quality is very good and the staff is nice. They get to know you when you come often which is nice in a small town. The alternations staff is horrible. They are rude, unfriendly, and do a bad job. They've actually told me to wear a higher heel when I went to get pants shortened! And, when they completely botched an alteration for a $600+ dress, it was a fight for them to waive their $200 alteration fee. So, go for the dry cleaning, not the alterations. read more

Brought a dress coat in here to have a button sewn on to create a closure at the top - simple right? They quoted me $10 which I thought was fair. Picked up my jacket and returned home to find they had sewn the button on the wrong side. Difficult to explain without seeing a photo of the jacket but this was a pretty obvious mistake on their part bc the jacket can only be closed 1 way at the top, which was opposite from how they sewed it. Oh well, I thought, not a big deal, I'll just go back in and ask them to fix it. Which was exactly what I did - but the seamstress actually fought me on it, telling me that's how I told her to do it when I tried the jacket on for her to pin it. I tried it on for them again to show them my point but she wouldn't accept any responsibility. Not that I even needed her to, I just wanted the problem fixed! But solving the problem seemed to be the last thing on their minds, and in the end, that's what made me walk out. Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more
