This is a great storage facility. The prices are great. They also have a selection of natty Bo merchandise which is pretty awesome as well. Included with the price for your storage unit, they will except delivery of packages at this address and automatically deliver them to your storage unit. With all of the package thieves, this service is easily worth the price of the storage unit. read more

We've had nothing but issues with this location after years of excellent service with Shelly and Sean. The billing system was switched over earlier this year (as told to me by someone in the call center today), which interrupted our automated billing through no fault of ours. My bank manager went to the trouble of checking with the back office, and sent an email to the facility manager, explaining that it was not the fault of the bank or myself that the automated billing was interrupted. The manager at Self Storage insisted it wasn't their system even though the bank itself was telling them otherwise. The manager refused to refund two months of late fees. There was a huge lapse in communication. To date, I have never received any support from the regional manager or the operations manager after filing a complaint. To add insult to injury I called the call center to let them know I'd be leaving at the end of the month. I called half way through the month, so there'd be NO MORE billing issues! The agent tried to pin me down on when I'd removed my items. I didn't know why she was asking, but she pushed and pressured, and I found out why later when I went there, because the facility manager had removed my gate access and locked my unit! I called and told them I was paid up and requested access to my unit. He refused to reverse this, and also wouldn't refund me, knowing full well that he was going to put my unit up for rent while he already had my money for it! Not cheap either! What a scam! I've reported it to the State's Attorney's consumer affairs division. These people are scheisters, I would not recommend renting a unit there! It used to be a great place to rent, but it's not anymore. read more

Once you're moved in they'll start raising your rates. You'll be paying more than new customers for the same size unit, but they know it's pain to move out and they've got you. In response to the businesses reply: 1. I do not expect static pricing, but I do expect to NOT pay more as an existing customer than the going rate for new customers. 2. I can't rave more about this place! I moved in with my boyfriend in April but since we planned to buy a house sometime later in the year, it made no sense to combine all our belongings into a small loft apartment, so I decided I needed a storage unit. Initially, I ordered a unit that was too small, but Sue was super helpful in getting me a larger unit on the same floor so I didn't have to drag all the stuff a far distance. The building is highly secured and surveillance. Parking is conveniently located close to the building so you didn't have to transport your belongings too far. There are trolleys for you to use and there was never a shortage of them. You need an access code to get into the storage building and to operate the elevator. Temperature in the elevator was kind of brutal during the summer months, but was well controlled in the units itself. The property is clean and highly organized. The main office even has tons of boxes and moving packages to purchase from for a very reasonable price. Sue was always the most helpful whether I had a question or had to change my move-out date, she was my go-to girl- always returning my calls. I've had many experiences with storage units but this was by far the best experience I've had. Highly recommended!! read more

What do I have to say about Canton Self Storage....well it's a great local place in Canton/Highlandtown to store any of your prized possessions under the protection of the almighty Boh man sign. The building is very clean and dry so your items won't get wet or ruined during the different seasons. They have multiple levels of storage units also in different sizes to rent. Customers are given a code to use to access the building and elevator. Both times I've been here to help my friend move supplies for his company and it was easy to get in and get out using flat carts that are inside the main entrance. If I had stuff to store I would go here, especially because the famous Natty Boh man is easy to find and they have surveillance cameras for added security. If I knew pricing I would gladly add it to this review but I don't. read more

I have only had to store my things once so I have nothing to compare this to, but using Canton Self Storage was a very easy and pleasant experience. I was able to get a deal where the first month was free. Their truck to move in is free too! (A small admin fee and gas) I used their truck to move in and move out. The thing is bigger than it looks! My stuff was there for three months in a nice basement container. The place is dry, clean, climate controlled and secure. You need a code to get down the elevator to the storage and even to get into the building on Sundays. The employees are helpful and answer all questions you ask, their paper system is electronic so all of your contracts, etc. are emailed to you! Would use them again if I needed storage. read more

I've always avoided using storage units because of the horror stories I've heard - poor conditions, things going missing, unclear pricing policy. But I'm so glad that I ended up using Canton Self Storage. The staff (Sue and Vickie) are so kind and helpful. My unit was immaculate. They were easy to reach if I had any questions. And using their van to move my things in saved me the hassle of renting a u-haul. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a storage unit! read more

This place is clean, easy to get to (you can back your vehicle right to the loading door and they have several dollies just inside of it), secure (it's a single exterior door entry with key code access rather than a lot where the storage doors are exterior), the staff is nice, the price is totally in line with, if not slightly better than the average place. $65/mo for us (military discount does apply) for a 5x10 climate control with uber high ceiling. I'm not sure what other criteria to judge a storage place on but if you live in the city and you want something convenient where you can store both long-term and grab-and-go items, this place is great. 365 day a year access from 6 am to 9 pm. Vickie helped us get started and she was awesome and patient while we were there with our two 1 year olds. read more

I have stored my things in many places, New Orleans, San Francisco, Santa Monica and Chicago, in various types of facilities. Canton Self Storage is the best I have ever used. The place is clean, easy to use and parking is always available. The office staff are incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. There is even free coffee whenever the office is open. When you rent a unit, you get to use their large clean functioning truck for one day. I am confident my stuff is safe and secure there...check them out. read more

I have stored my belongings in Canton Storage for almost a year. I resently went to the site to let them know I no longer needed their services. The lady that helped me supposedly noted in the system my move out date and took my credit card info out of the system. I received a call today telling me my payment is pass due and I informed the lady I spoke to that I had moved my belongings out and ended my contract several weeks ago. She said it wasn't noted in the system but she would update it. I received another call from a guy who told me that I do own for this month. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and I do not feel that I should have to pay for their lack of training and errors. I will never use this companies services and will be spreading the word to my friends as well. read more
