We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

This facility is also equipped with very large rolling doors that close to keep you secure and separate from the elements as you move your goods. Having stored at other storage facilities where only outdoor parking is available, I can attest that being able to leisurely move one's goods without worry of being rained on or the wind blowing items away or melting in the midday summers' Sun makes this location immediately worth storing at. Furthermore, the interior of the building is spotless and kept pest fee and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The manager of this property, Ms. Yvette is treasure trove of information. She is quite knowledgeable about Extra Space products, policies and procedures and can answer nearly any reasonable question one could ask about their company. Moreover, if she does not know the answer to your inquiry, I have first hand witnessed that she will go out the way to get that information swiftly and efficaciously. Also, both Ms. Yvette and the other employee at this location, Ronald, are kind, courteous and care about each and every person that stores with them. In fact, Ms. Yvette calls me and others by name and speaks politely every time she sees us. I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!

Ultimately, especially if you live or are moving to downtown Baltimore I recommend using this storage place as it affords you quick access to things you might not always want in apartments that are most likely smaller than if you lived further outside of the downtown area. Finally, the staff is very nice and helpful. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 as tars is because whenever I come after closing there's almost always homeless people sitting in the relatively small parking space. Nothing that keeps me from still dropping things off, but it can be a little alarming as there's one guy who's definitely struggling with mental health challenges and will randomly start yelling.

I visit my unit at least once a month and whate trash is lingering on the floor is always there when I return. Yet my bill has gone from $150 to $400. Everything is always broken. the exit doors, sliding side door, entrance doors, as well as the key pad that we use to enter our codes. I contact customer service regarding my bill constantly increasing and customer service is very poor and rude. Sometimes you will get an agent who is human but that's a slim to none chance. There's never any trolleys available for use. The elevator is always out of commission. Yet your monthly bills are constantly rising. I night shift. If I had the strength to pack everything up and move to a different storage space I would but it's impossible for me to do being that this location is close to my home. I would not recommend that anyone rent a storage unit at this location at all. I have videos as well as pictures of everything that is in this complain.
