BUYER BEWARE! We have purchased tons of Cantoni furniture over the last few decades. About two years ago, we decided to remodel our kitchen and chose Cantoni because they claimed they would do the full design and install, which we thought would make things go smoothly. What a disaster!! Zero product supervision, leading to thousands of dollars in mistakes, which we covered. Wrong sizes, wrong colors, poor installation, lots of damage, missed appointments. Nearly 2 YEARS for a small kitchen and still not complete. But what really takes the cake is these people have no interest in making things right. Hideous customer service. No urgency whatsoever to resolve issues. You pay 100% up front, so when Cantoni screws something up, the customer has no recourse. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I wish I would have seen these reviews before my visit! Do yourself a favor and do your research. Our experience has been horrible. Designers are sales people- not designers as they claim. Only interested in making a sale and will lie about them making their own items. Finally learned while some items are from Italy many are from China- nice surprise when items are delivered with tags that say MADE IN CHINA though our sales person claimed they were Italian. Those from Italy are normal pieces that other stores carry which I now found are MUCH less from stores like Living Modern and Anima Domus. Feels horrible to be lied to and suckered into spending lots more money. Ask for the manufacture, and do a simple google search unless they lie to you like they did us - that they make. read more

We were planning to buy full set of furnitures for our new home with Cantoni Dallas. We bought our first batch more than three months ago. We are still waiting for the majority of furnitures to be delivered which we were told a much shorter wait when we ordered. Plus, they brought a bunch of wrong furnitures that we had to ask them take back. I am now sitting on my dining table doing my work daily. Daily I am thinking when my office furnitures can be delivered. Its just a mess. The customer service including sales rep and the store manager were among the worst. First, the sales' rep gave us so many promises that she could not deliver in regard with the delivery date, return, doing a free consultation over our entire home, free shipping, etc. She even stopped communication on date of shipment. So we had to talk to her manager. Its been a week since our conversation with the manager. We are still waiting on the result... Watch out on the following: 1) Delivery date and free shipping: Furniture took months and months for them to deliver. Even though they have gathered most of the furnitures, they would still want to make you wait for another month or two for the last piece to arrive. Free shipping? Thats conditional. You need to have them provide specific date for delivery on all your purchases, piece by piece when you order. Otherwise, there will be a long unexpected wait. 2) Return policy: make sure they put everything in wording for it; We provided all sizes for the house for them to pick out correct sized furnitures for us. We thought they are pro and should know better. When the furnitures got delivered to the house, they were either too big (carpet and center table) or too tall (chairs) for the space; They told us that we could return for free if they are not fit. It turns out that we either have to exchange or pay for a fee for shipping back. 3) Watch out sweet talks: they will tell you that they are pro and have many years of experience. They know how to pick out artwork for you, free onsite consultation, etc. They will tell you its free. You only need to provide air ticket and accommodations. We thought that would be great regardless the high dollar priced artwork they picked out for us. We still thought it might worth it. It turns out that we would also have to pay for the 'white glove' fees. Our case was $1800. So don't believe their sweet talks. 4) Clarity with your order: make sure they know what exactly you want to order. In our case, we wanted to order a sectional sofa with the long section on the right, a desk with side table on the left. Regardless, they still brought the wrong ones. Put multiple emails may help to remind them what exactly should be delivered. You should never rely on them solely. We will not make another purchase with them as planned. It has been ridiculous in all possible ways. Unhappy and unacceptable! read more

Beautiful modern furniture is what Cantoni is known for and the show room doesn't disappoint. We've shopped here for ideas and found ourselves heading elsewhere to actually make purchases. Today, though, we stumbled upon the outlet. It is about as large as the showroom itself! Got a cool coffee table for half off the list price. For the average (or even above average income) person, this is best visited as if you're going to a museum. Then it's a great deal. Hey look...free admission! Look at the amazing art/furniture! I would like to meet the people who can afford the furniture here and become good friends with them. There are really some fantastic pieces. If I win the lottery I'm totally, 100% going on a shopping spree here. I'm not above spending money for quality pieces, but we're talking $6000 for a single leather armchair or $10,000 for a coffee table. The pieces are fantastic, though I'm not sure they're worth the price tags. At 1/2 priced (or in some cases 1/3 priced), they'd still be expensive, though very tempting. The unexpected benefit of a trip here is that it left me feeling MUCH better about the price of the couch I had eye on elsewhere that I was feeling was a little expensive... read more

Great quality pieces. Often times when I enter a contemporary furniture store, I immediately feel like a fairy take giant. Every piece I stand next to is 5 inches too short, every chair I sit in is too small and feels unstable. Want to sit on the bed? You're gonna have to squat down! Over the height of 5'8? Sorry, nothing for you here! No so here. It's modern, clean, contemporary furniture, that is actual size! Pricing is a bit steep. Once I saw how they can customize literally everything, even kitchens, I found myself exclaiming "it's like ikea, for rich people!" And it truly is. read more

Cantoni does not have a clear return policy. If you ask them what it is, they cannot articulate it. Whether they will give you a refund "depends" on several factors, which they cannot specify. I purchased an expensive dining table ($4000 plus) which I returned promptly. I paid $350 to have it delivered and another $350 to have it picked up and returned to the store. Some months later, I realized that they had never refunded the purchase price to my credit card. When I called and spoke to a manager, he said I had been given "store credit" instead of a refund. When I asked why I only got store credit and not a refund on my card, he could not explain. I told him that no one had told me that I was getting store credit only. No one had told me that the store credit would expire in 12 months. They did not email me or send anything to me in writing telling me that I had more than $4000 in store credit that was only good for a year. Fortunately, I finally realized the error and called them. After a couple of days, the manager decided to refund the amount to my credit card, which I was grateful for. But I have to wonder how many other customers have been treated this way and are not told about their rapidly expiring store credit and ultimately lose it. I would not do business with a company that cannot articulate their return policy, who do not give "store credit" in writing to the customer along with the terms of that credit, and who fail to even tell their customer that they are only giving them store credit. I was lucky that I finally realized what had happened. read more

Cantoni is a total Rippoff , I bought a wall sculpture for 850.00 , later found out a company named artisan house out of california mass produces this stuff thats sold for such high prices at cantoni ,its on their website .I went into bed bath and beyond and found similiar wall "art " selling for 99- 199. I bought at Cantoni thinking they are supposed to have unique- one of a kind art , but thats not the case ,all their items are bought either at the world trade center then shipped to their other stores or they order from mass produced warehouses ,and as another reviewer mentioned -go to craigslist and type in cantoni in the search,there is a ton of stuff there,no need to run up the credit card . read more

I walked in the store the first time two sales representatives looked at me and walked away. After talking to a friend she convinced me to go back. I was in the store for 10 minutes before anyone spoke or asked if I was looking for anything! This store has poor customer service and the prices are outrageous for what they're offering; I found better quality at the Dump and Copenhagen furniture store in Austin. They are very quick to stereo-type their customers. read more

Not enough good things can be said about Jordan Llewellyn at Cantoni. We have always loved Cantoni and the very unique collection of designer furniture it offers, but our experience this time around was made even more pleasant by working closely with Jordan. We love the modern/contemporary designs that Cantoni has, but it is often hard to find the right fit within the right budget. However, working with Jordan was a breath of fresh air! She is a very talented designer and helped us select our pieces with as much care and attention that exceeded our expectations. She was approachable, friendly, available to us at all times, and provided honest feedback which is very rare to find nowadays. We didn't feel pressured and it didn't feel like it became too sales-oriented at any point. She worked with our budget and understood our needs, and had a very keen eye for great furniture and decorative pieces! Because of our wonderful experience with Jordan, we definitely plan to return to Cantoni for our future purchases and have a renewed sense of respect and admiration for Catoni and its designers.
