Very very slow service. Took an hour to get a table now im at table for 20 min. So 1 hour 20 min in still have not ordered

Filipino Breakfast -silog! yessssssssss My Grandma is a regular at Cache Creek so she has a lot of credits or points or whatever it is. I DON'T CARE! ALL I KNOW IS WE GET HOOKED UP whenever we go! Our whole meal was free we just paid for the tip. Which at Cache Creek every restaurant you have to pay 18% if you have a party of 6 or more. we had 1. Tocilog 2. Tocilog 3. Longsilog 4. Complete Breakfast 5. Oatmeal and fruit 6. Complete Breakfast 7. Corned beef has (sorta greasy but what do you expect) 8. Eggs Benedict 9. Hot tea All were good the portions were big! Service was fast and we were ready to be on our way back home. Reminds me of a IHOP, Dennys, Carrows type place. So come expecting that kind of food and decor. HINT: sign up to be get a cache creek card thing and you'll get $25 to use. If you take the bus up you'll get vouchers to gamble and also for food. Service was slow. Took long to get our order taken & to get the bill settled. It's great that they are open 24/7 since most of the places in the casino close early. We ordered the mushroom chicken sandwich & they were good! The bread was soft and warm & the chicken was actually juicy. read more

This was a place I stumbled upon when the buffet was closed. Was a pleasant surprise. I can't say I've had any of the Filipino cuisine like the other Yelpers, but I can say their dinner dishes are amazing. Whether you order the salmon steak, the ribeye or the teriyaki-glazed ribs, you're in for something good. Homestyle mashed potatoes and flavorful veggies, along with hot bread rolls with butter and fresh garden salads. The food here is always delicious. The trick is to ask if Irma (or Urma), the head chef, is cooking that day. Four times I've been to the Canyon Cafe, and three of the four Irma was cooking. I don't know how she packs so much flavor into her food. The fourth time we went, Irma was on vacation. The food tasted somewhat bland. You can't go if Irma's not cooking. We'll be calling ahead from here on out to see if Irma's cooking or not -- if not, we're headed to the buffet. Get a slice of mile high chocolate cake to go. The slices are huge, so if you're a party of two, get one and split it when you get home. read more

They served tomato spoiled and blame us because we have been on the table for too long. So are they telling me the tomato expired under two hours we spend time on the cafe? They also have the nerve to laugh about like I'm stupid looking. I didn't know what to response but to tell them how a tomato expired that fast and blame us for it. A group of 7 received player cards and $25 were given to us for food usage or gas. Ended our gambling night with Canyon Cafe at 4am on a Sunday morning. This was the only place open at the time. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad and added bacon. I was able to choose crispy bacon rather than bacon bites! SCOREEEE! It was a big portion for $10. The salad was original, nothing spectacular. But the OXTAIL stew my friend had ordered was DELICIOUS for $15. It was marinated in a peanut butter sauce that came with bak choy and 5 pieces of oxtail. Came in a large soup bowl and a plate of garlic rice. The oxtail meat fell off the bone and went well with the side. The vegetables were greasy, but this was the best dish on the table. Since we had a big party, 18% gratuity was automatically charged to our table that we had to pay cash for. It was a free meal, but a very expensive trip,.. if you know what i mean. :) I will def be back to eat here, if I ever visit cache creek again. read more

Stopped here for lunch with my motorcycle group in the middle of a long ride. There were about 10 of us and they pushed together tables so we could sit together. I had a reuben sandwich with fries, which was tasty and portioned generously. Especially for the price, only $11! I'm looking at the photos others have posted of their meals and I'm scratching my head. My entire posse got hooked up with large portions of yummy food. Also, I found out that if you sign up for a Cache Creek card you get $25. Good to know for next time we roll through! When it came time to pay the bill, we realized we forgot to tell our waitress Yesenia that we needed separate checks. She explained that she could do it, but that at Cache Creek every restaurant you have to pay 18% if you have a party of 6 or more. The tip would have been on a separate check. Since nobody wanted to pay for everyone's tip, we asked her politely if we could divide the tip onto each check or better yet, let us write our own tips in so she'd make even more. She remembered everyone's order and made it happen and I personally left her a healthy 50% tip to thank her for all her help. I was totally surprised with their menu. They have Filipino dishes that I cook. I wanted to try them, but knowing how to cook them stopped me because it was too pricey. So, I got their rib-eye steak instead which I think was a good $$ deal. Service was a bit slow when we were there last weekend, even though there weren't that many patrons. Before we started eating, we asked for two glasses of ice-water. They came with the A1 sauce when we were halfway our food. I guess, them being in the middle of nowhere, they stick to having their menu pricey. I just think it should come with a quick service as well. Not really reasonable enough without it. read more

Before you go here, go to the entrance of the casino closest to the parking garage. There is a counter where you sign up for some sorta membership. They scan your driver's license and give you a membership card of sorts. You also have the option of getting some belt-loop attaching lanyard to look like one of the casino regulars wasting away their retirement. On that card, if it is your first time doing this (hopefully it is) will be $25 in food credit good for use at any of the places to eat in the casino. It doesn't cover gratuity or alcohol. Now go to the Canyon Café. They have Filipino food. Overpriced Filipino food. If you don't have access to filpino food, i.e. you're not filpino, then the prices could be justified. I can't justify $15 for sinigang. I'll just go back to my parents and demand some sinigang and kare-kare. For free. Anyways, if you got the $25 credit. You get what you pay for. Free food. Oh, don't forget some cash for the tip. read more

Dinner started out good once we finally had a host seat us. Waited at the podium for about 5 minutes before someone came out of the back room to seat guest. Server, Vincent, took drink order right away and I also ordered the Buffalo Wings to start. They are super good. Big wings, good spice in the buffalo sauce, crispy skin on the chicken and hot when served. Then he took our food order. Husband got the Caprese Chicken Sandwich in which he enjoyed. He asked for fries with no salt on them and they came with salt. Due to a heart condition, salt is bad, so he was unable to eat them. I ordered the Chipotle Turkey Melt. Deli lunch meat that is warmed on a flat top grill (in my case burnt on the grill), avocado (that was brown), bacon and cheese on a french roll that again was overly grilled on the flat top. I got onion rings with mine and they tasted like the oil they were cooked in. While we waited, and waited, and waited for Vincent to come back to the table he did not so we started eating. Thank goodness we had some ranch dressing as it was used to cover the burnt flavor of the sandwich. When Vincent finally came over, we mentioned to him and showed him the half of sandwich that was left. He did not care. He said sorry, we can make another and I said no. I already ate half and I am done eating. I tried to mention the fries and he walked away. When he came back, he brought the bill and started walking away. I asked if he said anything to his manager and he said yeah but they just said make a new sandwich. Left the bill and said just sign and we are done then he walked away. I kept looking for him as I wanted a copy of the bill and he was not to be found. I asked the hostess for a copy and she had to get Vincent to get it. He handed me a copy and said bye. Not once did I see a manager on the floor of the restaurant during our time there. Not once did a manager come over to apologize for the service or the food. I did talk with a manager in another restaurant there who said he was going to have the General Manager contact me in which I have not had either. I guess the servers are taught well by the General Manager about how to talk with a customer and what service is all about. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star but we don't have that option on Yelp. After 45 mins sitting and waiting for our food, another waitress (not the one that took our order) comes by and stays our waitress spilled food on her paper and doesn't remember what we ordered. Funny that this excuse was used because everyone around that came after got their meals. If this was the case, wouldn't she had come to us when that occurred? I asked for a manager and she gave a different excuse and said our waitress never put our order in. Wth? This place isn't worth the service to eat here. I ate here twice with a some friends when we decided to go to Cache creek in the middle of the night. This was the only place open and we were all pretty hungry so we decided to check it out. We looked at the menu and didn't know what to order, so we ended up getting steak and eggs. After waiting for like 15 minutes, our order came out...It wasn't that great. To me, it just tasted like the $10 steak that you would get at Applebee's or those sort of place. I think the steak at Denny's is actually better than this..so I wouldn't recommend American food here. My friend tried the burger and fries here and it was pretty bad. But after seeing really good reviews on here about their Filipino food..I'll probably try it next time if I ever decided to come back. read more

It's your regular sandwich, burger, salad, soup, entree fare, think Applebee's but with a 20% price premium. I had a decent BBQ chicken sandwich which is basically a burger with fries for $10. My family had the omelette for $9.75 which was 3 eggs with 3 toppings and a side of hash browns. You get the idea. read more

This place basically serves your typical American diner type food with some Asian selections mixed into the menu, which I think is a nice touch. I like the fact that there's a 24 hour cafe available so that customers who are there late at night can stop by for a bite to eat or just to relax for a while in a comfortable, casual setting. I've only eaten here once, but I thought that this place was pretty good overall. I had a cobb salad and it was a good sized portion and they weren't skimpy with the ingredients. Service was good here as well. I would eat here again, but probably only during off hours like early in the morning or late at night. read more

Canyon Cafe is a bit pricey for their food, at around $10 per plate. I only ate here because the buffet was not open on Thursdays. I was a little disappointed because the menu does not offer too many different options. I ordered the Reuben sandwich which was surprisingly good. It was packed with a substantial amount of corned beef, lots of sauerkraut, just enough thousand island dressing and was nicely grilled with a lot of butter on rye bread. It also came with fries and was surprisingly very filling. Highly recommend it if at Cache Creek and some other food options are not open. read more

Came here Friday night..to play a little.. A couple of us ate dinner before hand..which we regret because I really wanted to hit up the buffet..since we werent as hungry we decided to eat ate Canyon Cafe..my bf got the tuna melt..and I just picked off his plate since I wasn't that hungry..it was meh--ok...nothing to brag about..I've had better..sis's bf had the country fried steak..and he said it was like a Denny's country friend steak..I forgot what my sisters had.. I also had an Apeach Tea..ice tea + absolut peach..it wasn't that great..really watered down..the restaurant was cute..fancier looking than a diner...their food was okay...but their service was ok too..they need to lighten up a bit and smile..lol..next time I hope to hit up the buffet!! read more

Surprising good food for a casino cafe. We were seated promptly, our server was friendly, we didn't have to wait for refills, food or the check. I got a NY steak sandwich and it was delicious. The steak was really tender and cooked perfectly, my husband got the French dip and he said it was the best one he's ever had. Came to this place to get a drink during NYE and I asked the bar tender for her beer and wine list. First she ignored me after calling her several times and when she finally acknowledged I was there she very rudely said "we don't have one". So are you supposed to tell me that customers need to ask or try to figure out what kind of drinks you guys serve? That is crazy and unheard of. I do not know her name but she was super rude. I went and asked a young guy who served as a host that night and he was super nice. He showed me a limited list of what they had available in their menu which I thanked him for but honestly at that point I was so upset with the attitude of the bar tender that I just decided to look elsewhere. Bottom line if you do not want to work in NYE just call in sick or tell your boss you cannot work but do not take it out on your customers. I don't think I will be buying anything from this place anytime soon nor I would recommend anyone to do so. read more

If you know anything about Fillipino cuisine, you'd know the term "silog". The art of adding a side of fried egg on top of garlic rice to your choice of meat. Ive gone to all restaurants on cache creek and keep forgetting to leave a review so for this last visit i went to canyon cafe. Loved the atmosphere, seating took 5 minutes the most and the casino was FULL it was the black friday night. Food was more than expected and the price is so cheap. Quality and temperature was good. We ate there again last night, had a great time again the food was excellent and the Restaurant Chef Steven came to the table to see how everything was, he is awesome. I have never seen the chef come to the table except here to check on the guest, We had the Spring Rolls, The Meatball Sliders, The Hummus Plate and Rib-Eye Steak, then for dessert we had the fried ice cream and key lime cheese cake.. WORST SERVICE EVER!! First off they gave us the wrong food and spilled food on one of people at my table. Then the food takes forever to come and when it does come it is cold! We waited over an hour for our meals that we never received. There were AT LEAST four tables who were seated after my party, and they all had their meals out before us. We asked for the manager and she took well over ten minutes to speak with us. Upon speaking with us, she said to say was "you're food will be right out" after we already stated we did not want to wait any longer. We wanted to simply point out that there is no explanation for such bad service while everyone else was served in a timely matter. she asked if there is anything she could do for us but there is nothing to do for such terrible service. I would not recommend this place, and if you decide to eat here anyways, at least don't allow them to seat you in the back where you will be less likely to get your meals served while they're still hot. read more
