We ordered chilaquiles and since we could not decide on whether we wanted pancakes or French toast, our server Ana mentioned we can do half and half so we can try both. We came here because I was really craving waffles for breakfast, and the owners of our favorite breakfast place were on vacation. So, of course, I had to order a waffle. First of all, since it was $17, I asked the server how big the waffle would be, and he reassured me that it would be large, thick, and filling. It looked nothing like that. In my opinion, there also wasn't nearly enough whipped cream. I definitely expected more for $17. Second of all, it was NOT cooked through at all. It was literally dough. After that, I completely lost my appetite and didn't want to order anything else. For $17 I expected it to be the best waffle of my life. Instead, it was the worst one I've ever had. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon and green sauce. He said it was just ok. He couldn't say anything good or bad about it. The service was good. Our server even comped the entire bill, which was very kind of him and we really appreciated it. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because of our server. Had a great meal on Saturday. Staff was friendly and very serviceable. I appreciated that there were several different areas for dining depending on what vibe you were looking for. Plenty of parking too. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was good. I do wish the potatoes inside the burrito had been warmer. The red sauce wasn't too flavorful or spicy which is what I expected but it didn't distract from the yummy taste of the burrito. The hibiscus refresher was delicious. Good brunch spot in Santa Rosa. We were staying at the hotel nearby and looking for a quick breakfast before leaving for some wine tasting. We were lucky to be the first ones seated. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and my dining mate ordered the Santa Rosa omelette. They came out relatively quick and we were able to order, eat and pay within about 45 minutes. The biscuits and gravy were pretty good, the gravy was nice and thick and flavorful with a good amount of sausage pieces in it. The biscuits were solid but not too dense. Went well mixing it together with the over medium egg I got. The omelette was alright. It was a good size, a bit more than what my dining mate needed and we took a little under half with us to go. Went to Americana for my birthday brunch and was very excited for this experience. I had called numerous places looking for a bottomless mimosas option with flavors other than orange. When I called they confirmed they offer bottomless and that they have various flavor options and with the bottomless option you can switch between flavors. My family and I went on my birthday (a Saturday) and three of us ordered bottomless mimosas with our meals (two people didn't order any mimosas and did not drink any). When we ordered, we were not informed of any sort of limit (quantity or time limit). The flavors were delicious so I did appreciate that and the food was also very tasty. I appreciate the farm to table aspect and that they had gluten free options as my dad is celiac. He really enjoyed his waffle! My biggest disappointment is that when I was almost finished with my meal I ordered another mimosa to drink as we finished up and paid the bill and I was informed they normally only allow 4-5 mimosas. That would be perfectly fine if they didn't call it "bottomless." Our party was not loud or obnoxious, they just have a limit to the number of mimosas they allow. We were also waited on by three different people. The service was okay overall but when Amera was helping us out, the service was definitely better. The taste is fine, but I was not "wowed" for the price point. My friend and I ordered 2 breakfast items mine was the combo breakfast ( one egg, one small chicken sausage & waffle with fruit) for $23.50 and hers was the Santa Rosa omelette which was 25.50 , the server asked her if she wanted toast or a biscuit and she elected to have a biscuit which was an addition $3. Came back to give this place a second chance and was impressed! This time I came with my boyfriend and family so we made a reservation for a large group at noon on a Sunday. We were seated in the courtyard/hallway area adjacent to the salon and other businesses. Service was friendly and timely. This time around I was in the mood for the lunch side of the menu so I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and was pretty happy with it (unfortunately forgot to take photos). The chicken was crunchy and the coleslaw was tangy and paired really well. My sister got the same thing and she also enjoyed it. I ordered mine with onion rings which I liked more than her fries. My boyfriend got the breakfast combo with a pancake short stack and the pancakes were delicious!! I get picky about restaurant pancakes because I've had my share of dry ones, but these were super moist and melted right in your mouth. I would definitely order the pancakes here in the future. The rest of my relatives seemed to enjoy their meals and the portion sizes were quite filling. I'm glad I tried this place again :) read more

Apparently they offered green sauce and we tried it and it was SO much better! We also got the gluten free waffle and WOW! Saw that this brunch restaurant was listed as one of the best in Santa Rosa and I agree with Sonoma Magazine! We went on a quieter Wednesday at brunch time and were seated quickly, and the host was really friendly and helpful. Ordered refillable drip coffee, and it was delicious! There are many skylights, so you get the outside vibe without actually being outside. I was seated immediately and the waiter came by soon after for my drink order. I ordered the gluten-free waffle, along with bacon & eggs. Had to fuel up before going to the fair. The waffle was beautiful, with lots of fresh fruit, a marscapone whipped cream, and a light citrus-y syrup. All of the food was very well prepared and pretty on the plates. I typically don't like writing bad reviews and love supporting local businesses, but I felt compelled to do so. My party got arrived at the venue and there were a few people ahead of us so waiting was inevitable. After half an hour of sitting outside, we were sat. It didn't look busy as there were several empty tables in the main dining area and out in the corridor. There was only one server running back and forth taking and serving orders. The maître d' was walking around asking customers how they were doing but not taking orders or serving drinks. We then ordered what we thought looked good based on photos and reviews on yelp. We waited some more and our food arrived...and they were the blandest and most overpriced food we've come across. I've been to various states and countries and have had scrumptious food for less, and "ok" food for lesser. The pancakes came cold and I'm attributing it to there being only one server/waiter. We spent about $80 for the three of us for three standard, no extra add-ons meals and drinks. Needless to say we were disappointed as our hopes were dashed by this experience. I hope something gets done about adding more flavor to the food and having at least another server on the floor. read more

I ordered an Irish coffee - yummy, fresh brewed coffee with a hint of sweetness. I also had the chilaquiles which I thought were great, I've read varying reviews. The tortilla chip and red salsa are both house made. The salsa was mild with a deep flavor, so good. It also had black beans, fresh cheese, sour cream and 2 eggs any style. It's a large serving, I took half home. Their ingredients are sourced from local farms in Sonoma & Marin Counties. I love this place and go there often. It is a birthday treat for friends or just for fun. Everything they cook with is local and the food is very fresh and delicious. Having been in the restaurant business as a chef for most of my working life I also have always used local vendors. I took my friend who I worked with at John Ash & Co for many years for her birthday on Tuesday. I love the pancakes, order them with a couple pieces of bacon, my favorite meal there. Even the maple syrup is to die for. When I pancakes came the server forgot my bacon so I went to the kitchen and mentioned to the server she had forgotten my bacon. She came to the table within a minute with two pieces of bacon that looked like they had sat on the griddle for a while, one was overly crisp the other was under cooked. I didn't want to spoil the meal for my friend so I didn't say anything to the server. I will definitely go back but slightly bummed about this meal. read more

Super cute place with very sweet servers, and the food came out pretty fast. Everything was great quality--while it was a little more expensive than what we usually go for, you could really tell the difference with the homemade syrup, ketchup, and jam. We decided to give this place a try. I read reviews and had two friends recommend. It's a very quaint restaurant. Clean, quiet and well appointed seating. Parking is adequate. Waitress was polite and friendly. She only checked on us once after meal was served and later to give us the check The pricing was a bit more expensive than anticipated. But paying for higher quality food and ambience is understandable. My burger was spot on and as requested. Although the onion rings were nice sized and ample portion they were saturated in oil and soft. Disappointing as they looked so inviting. Paying $26 for a grilled cheese sandwich with minuscule amount of cheese 2 small pieces of bacon which is $4 upcharge between two oversized plain bread. My wife was very disappointed and I ended up taking her somewhere else later as she only ate 1/2 sandwich. My son ordered the breakfast burrito which was a generous portion and quite tasty in his words! So, my review gives 2 thumbs up for location and ambience. But 2 thumbs down for quality and pricing. This is a "farm to table" restaurant, using the highest quality ingredients, no seed oils, all the good things. Knowing that, I had still never planned on coming here until Husband and I were invited to lunch. I don't like spending a lot of money on food, so I browsed the menu ahead of time and decided on the breakfast burrito because it was of of the cheapest things on the menu. I decided to splurge and also get a mocha milkshake. Well, when the burrito came out, it was quite large, and really delicious. The potatos inside were crispy, every bite had a great amount of ingredients. The milkshake was one of the best I've ever had. All the servers were incredibly friendly. The location is quite interesting. It's inside a building that has multiple businesses. They were so busy when we came that we were seated out in a hallway type of area, which we actually quite liked. There were a few dogs in this outer area as well. Note: there is a parking lot on 6th street and you can enter from the back of the building. Now I just need to use all my willpower not to go back for another $9 milkshake. read more

We received our bottled Diet Coke (no refills) and were given the specials menu. I went with the chicken sandwich, the sandwich lacked flavor. Although it was nice and crispy the slaw had no seasoning and it was a bit on the greasier side. The fries were very similar to in n out French fries, which I liked. We sat outside and our food took over 30 minutes, which normally wouldn't be an issue if the restaurant was packed, but it wasn't there were more than a few tables empty when we got there. First off our coffee took forever to get to us. Also a couple who got there after us got their food before ours. Even though we had ordered before. At one point or another we just assumed they forgot about us. The server never came to check on us or ask us about the food etc. Food had no flavor, but it was decent after adding a ton of salt to eat. If the food had flavor I would've given it a better rating. Saved my 1200th Yelp review for a great, local, farm-to-table restaurant. We were welcomed warmly and seated at a table in the early afternoon sun, so grateful for the gentle heat after freezing outdoors at a Pacific USA Swim event. American comfort food at an elevated level, we chose a gourmet mushroom burger with king trumpet mushrooms with Gorgonzola cheese and local bacon ($25) and possibly some of the world's pillowiest, crunchiest onion rings devoured by man. My swimmer had the "chicken fried chicken" with country gravy ($27.50), scrambled eggs, a side salad, a homemade cream biscuit ($2.50 upcharge) and hash browns. Because it was so good, we returned the next day to enjoy another brunch: My son tucked into his delicious patty melt and I had a perfectly cooked Santa Rosa omelette with sourdough toast, housemade jam and simply and beautifully dressed baby arugula ($23). Everything was delicious! We had a long drive back to San Francisco and overhearing our abundant enthusiasm for her restaurant, the owner, Samantha, gave us a giant cookie to go. It might have been the most delicious (chocolate chunk and sea salt) cookie I've had in .. I don't know when. The cookie was magical. You might pay a couple of dollars more but you're supporting local, organic produce and meats, homemade jam and the most incredible housemade ranch dressing (that's almost drinkable).
