I can only make an observation from the catered event center aspect and with that in mind, I feel they solidly executed a buffet style event for 400 some odd people. Wait staff filled water pitchers regularly without being noticed, cleared food in a timely manner and bartenders quickly made standard priced mixed drinks. The place was clean, including bathrooms. Food was decent, although I feel everything was over-seasoned. Dishes were adequately labeled and timely refreshed. Views to the NE are beautiful..not a fan of the processing plant to the NW. Remodeling in progress, but from what I see, the restaurant ambience will be quite nice. I'll have to give the restaurant a shot one opened again. read more

We went on a Monday night and walked right in and got seated with an amazing view of the canyon without reservations. We only went for desserts and weren't disappointed as the portions were very generous, unlike some establishments that skimp on size but not on price. I took pics of my strawberry cheesecake, which was very good as well. My boy had the brownie and ice cream, which in theory big enough to be shared by two people, but he seemed to finish it off by himself. While eating we had three different aircraft pass by. This is an upscale restaurant, or supposed to be. My husband ordered the 16oz bone-in Ribeye steak, "blue rare". I ordered the orange quail. The steak came to the table medium well and way too salty. My quail was cooked perfectly, but way too salty as well. Considering both my husband and I smoke, salty is saying alot. For the price we paid it was sub-par. It's not really a 5-star rating for the food only, rather the whole experience. The views from outside are incredible, the service (specifically our waiter) was friendly and attentive, and the food was all at least B+. Doing some research for the area it seems that is about the best we can get, so we were happy. Our waiter even took some family pictures for us. I'd certainly come back. I'm here every week for my BNI meeting and though I don't usually have lunch I do have coffee. The coffee is wonderful. Michael is the best server! He's attentive, efficient, friendly, and always a joy to see. And when I do have lunch, the food is wonderful. Great burger with sweet potato fries and fry sauce. We came here for after dinner drinks and dessert. For these two things Canyon Crest rocks. You get a 23 oz beer for $6. You get an awesome dessert for $6. All that with a beautiful view of the snake river. The dessert was massive and delicious. I recommend sharing the dessert with 2 people... Unless you really like sweets and want to indulge yourself. We had the carrot cake and their new 3 scoop ice cream sandwich with homemade cookies. Both deserts were decadent. I highly recommend the ice cream sandwich dessert but get the raspberry sauce on the side. Throw in a couple of libations and their view of the Snake river and you're in heaven. I'm not sure why their ratings are low but they must've made major changes because I was very impressed. Plus our server Shane was friendly and made great conversation. When the weather is fine this is the best restaurant in town for dinner. The patio is spectacular. The rest of the time the dining room is great for conversation over dinner. It's quiet and restful. Good service My fiancé and I attended a Christmas party which was greatly hosted here. The food was great (tri-tip, wow really good), service and drinks were great as well. They had a small bar in our area that served basic drinks but I went to the main bar for my drink and the bartender was a young man, who had great service and made mine and my fiancé's drink perfectly, so happy he was our bartender honestly! This is a great restaurant with a spectacular view of the canyon. We were very grateful they let us on the patio with our dog, brought her water, and moved and lit the fire pit for us. Thank you ! Also ...they had to change the propane tank on the pit and lit it easily. It's always funny when you go to a restaurant and the staff can't light or operate fire pits or warmers and are unable to deal with a propane tank. These guys sorted that out eagerly. First of all, the view cannot be beat, especially if you sit outside as we did. The sun was shining on us and so the hostess brought out an umbrella to shade us. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I had the elk sliders, which you can't get just anywhere, and they were very good. My husband had the "Black and Blue Burger." I give props to our server, Michael, who made us laugh multiple times throughout our meal and was very attentive and professional as well. We happened to come at happy hour and we had a feast that fed the three of us for $20. Wings, Reuben sliders with home made chips, crab stuffed mushrooms and an excellent choice of domestic and foreign wines. And the service was top notch. The hostess was friendly and seated us in an excellent place to view the Perrine Bridge across the Snake River. Our server, Brittany, was the best. Had a great dinner there Saturday night. We never think to go there due to it not being on the beaten path. The view is amazing, the food was incredible. We were a party of 4. We were worried as they were also doing a wedding party. We were seated quickly, drinks came fast and food was awesome. We had, skirt steak, sirloin, chicken fettuccine, and finger steaks. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! The staff is extremely friendly! They told us about hiking trails we should go on and even made a speciality drink for us that they had not yet put on their menu! ( the pear orchid Martini, created by Matt) make sure to try it next time you go it is delicious! We have eaten here 3 times in the past two days! We just can't get enough! The one night it got a little chilly and they brought down a fire pit for us to sit by and enjoy the live music! You just cannot beat the view, the food is a 10 and the staff is a 11!! In the city of Twin Falls, Idaho, everyone knows there are two prominent restaurants that serve as the best restaurants in the area. I've been to one, Elevation 486, many, many times. But, this time, my friend convinced me to try the other one: Canyon Crest. Located above Idaho's beautiful Snake River Canyon, is a gorgeous stone restaurant. We had called earlier and they confirmed that they could prepare some vegan dishes. When we arrived around 7 p.m. on this Monday night, they were ready for us. They sat us in one of the big dining rooms overlooking the canyon. Unfortunately, it was too dark to see, but it was still a beautiful room with big booths, a plush red sofa, a fireplace, and a full bar. I started with a classic negroni, which the bartender was excited to make! The server kindly told us what could be made vegan, but also said there were special items that could be made off-menu. The Sous Chef, Adam Casel, came out to describe what he could prepare for us. We started with an incredible oven-roasted tomato filled with muffuletta olives and other good stuff, served with delicious marinara and basil sauces. It was loaded with great flavor. For our entree, we decided to split a Ratatouille and were pleasantly surprised when they brought it out already plated for two (separately). How classy. This dish was so good! Over rice noodles, was a delicious ratatouille made with broccoli, red peppers, mushrooms, and squash covered in a red sauce and topped with fresh basil. On the side, we had some sauteed spinach. And, for dessert, he cooked us a carrot cake served with strawberries and raspberries. Afterwards, the chef came out to see if we liked and we were all but hugging him. Just like that, I found a new favorite restaurant in Twin Falls. If you are seeking an awesome location, great view, comfortable dining room, excellent service, and appropriate prices for dinner, look no further. Highly recommended. read more

Honestly... their food is... unexceptional ...for the hype of it being a "fancy" restaurant. HOWEVER I brought my vegan gluten free friend with me once and the chef actually came and talked to us and made her a whole tasting menu style plate of vegan gluten free dishes he created on the spot. THAT is impressive. The view of the canyon is AMAZING. The service is great. I love love love hanging out here outside on the evening with a friend and a bottle of wine. It's the best. I love the atmosphere, but the blackened chicken Alfredo was not your typical chicken Alfredo. The sauce was completely different than normal in my opinion. Overall, a great eating experience!! Many great points about the entire meal. I'll touch on those first, then explain why it wasn't a 5 star experience. The Food: phenomenal! I ordered the trout filet, and it was cooked very well! Had a great taste, and the herb mashed potatoes tasted great as well (though they were a little dry). We also ordered the lamb burger, which was incredible. The fries here are great! And the Blackened Chicken Alfredo dish was excellent. Very good food for a decent price. On the high end, but I felt like we got what we paid for. Service: Exceptional*! The hostess was awesome! She was funny and personable. She went from table to table chatting with the customers, and making sure their waters were full. We were also seated immediately, which, though not surprising for a Monday night, was very nice. The manager here was amazing. He also went around from table to table, and even waited on and bussed tables. More about him later. The waiter was attentive and helpful. He joked around a bit too, which is always refreshing. The view: SPECTACULAR! Very prime position on the Snake River Canyon. I recommend going around sunset, especially in the summer. Absolutely breathtaking! The problem: this may have been an anomaly, and probably will not happen often, but our food took over an hour to get to us. The reason behind this was that there was a group of 30 people who had come in just before we did. So the kitchen staff was frantically trying to get their food prepared, which is understandable. The waiter and manager were very apologetic, and the manager gave us complimentary salads while we waited. About the waiter, he seemed pretty nervous about the whole situation, perhaps worrying about how we would react, and it may have made it harder for him to wait on us. We were patient and understanding, so he seemed to relax a little by the end. In short, this was a great place to eat!
