Canyon Feed - Pet Stores Near Me - Trabuco Canyon, California

This is the condition your delivery guys left my neighbors hay storage. His bales are supposed to go in the tall storage just to the left.that rubbermaid is empty and unlocked. Your drivers not only put the bales in the wrong storage, but they completely destroyed it making this area unsafe for horses walking by. And to add to that, they took the flakes that he had seperated for breakfast and lunch, that the facility feeds, and tossed them in the barn aisle, along with his cardboard dividers that could have blown into the riding arena right next door. Frankly i am appalled. My horse is right across from this mess. Stuff like this will cause horses to spook in an already tight spaced area. His smaller rubbermaid was not in this condition this morning. I dont think i have ever left a yelp review. But i happen to know that it has been discussed where his hay delivery is supposed to go. I myself ha e even shown a driver in the past where it goes. I know this horse owner has communicated to you where it goes. This is unacceptable. read more

This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. I've gotten feed from stores for many years and have always had great relationships with the stores we work with. I understand fully when there are problems and really try to give them the benefit of the doubt first. But this was the first store I've had a problem with enough to cancel my orders and never want to come back. I get weekly deliveries for my senior horse and recently one of the deliveries did not arrive. I did not think anything of it because it happens and we are all human. I called them to check on the issue and they let me know it's an hour away. I waited for them for a few hours before I decided that statement was not accurate and they were off hours and I would check back tomorrow. Next day. Still no delivery. I called again and this time the guy was extremely unhelpful. I told him my name multiple times and tried to explain what had happened before I finally had to insist that he look up my information. Then he couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. I tried to let him know that my horse depends on this food for his daily feed and it would be helpful to know when it would come so I can plan appropriately and make sure he isn't starved (since the stables feeds him when I'm not around). He did not care at all. I felt like I was wasting his time by his tone and attitude. It was extremely upsetting and I promptly told him I would physically come into the shop because we were clearly not getting anywhere. Went into the shop and was not greeted at all. The guy was apparently helping someone else but didn't tell me so he proceeded to ignore me for a good while before anyone else came up to me. Again rude and unprofessional. I own a small business and our first step is to great customers and if you are busy to let them know you will be with them in a minute. I find this is common curtesy mostly when I arrive to handle a error the shop made. Finally someone told me that the delivery was already on its way. It was upsetting to hear mostly since I drove all the way out already and asked multiple times about this same delivery and it was 2 days late without any notice. For my old feeds stores, they would call the day they know they can't fullfill your order to make sure you knew. But this store likely would have never called me which I personally already think is a problem. I tried to ask them if they would usually let us know but they said it was hard to do so which is strange when other stores are able to do so but that may be my ignorance of how feed stores work... I told them to just cancel it and they didn't even seem to care about that either. They didn't ask any question or admit any mistake. It was even more upsetting that they didn't even care when they loose customers. I think this is a clear indicator that they don't care for or feel like they need your business. Since this is the Only store that delivers to our stables, I understand that some people are scared or feel like they have no other choice but to accept this type of treatment. But I think a company should always try to care for their customers and so far I did not feel like that was the case. I hope they change things in the future and I am always open to talking things out. But at this point, I feel like they don't care and that's very sad mostly in this type of community where I had hoped people would be more caring about each other and each other's animals. read more

The Wahlburgs (sp?) are AWESOME!! They have made this feed and tack store a destination! They have a great consignment program with good turn around...there is always something new, but grab it fast cuz it sells! They will order special stuff and deliver-free. They will take back funky feed or hay, altho that's been extremely rare in my case as they look thru the loads very well before giving you your bale :) They even have corral panels AND will deliver them!!!! NICE!! SO glad they are running the place now. And very thankful we have such a great place so close!! read more

The new owners are always super helpful and have been able to answer all our questions we've had. They have so many supplies in stock so we've never had a problem finding the things we've needed. This place has vastly improved since the new owners took over! They do their best to carry products that people request and are now open on Sundays, which is super convenient. Prices are expensive but service is incredible! Plus I get greeted by 2 frenchies whenever I walk in! Not my first choice for hay as it's $10+ more than where I get it but for everything else it's perfect! Always my first choice for slay lucks, halters, boots etc! I don't know if they have new management or what because not only do they no longer stand behind their hay; they aren't even polite about it. I won't be back because I can't afford to buy bad hay that I can't return. I'm out $75 plus tax this month alone. Really too bad because I always thought Henry was a great guy and strived above and beyond to make his customers happy. read more
