One of the few places around us that sells Diamond Naturals puppy food, which our pup has eaten her whole little life. The place looks like an industrial yard, but is actually quite cute once you venture onto the grounds. We parked on the street because we weren't sure if you can park in the lot, but after speaking with the super friendly workers, we figure they would've been totally fine with it even if it wasn't allowed. Beyond friendly people! It was also cool because there are a ton of animals on site you can watch and play with. Tons of chickens, but also the most friendly bunnies and cats ever! Don't buy anything from this person and definitely don't trust his word. *Update to add the owner, Mike, shared my story with another female "client" who left me a "compliment" on this review harassing me and accusing my husband of being "lazy" (i never mentioned a husband in my review) when Mike and I had a conversation outside of my husband where he then ghosted me for 4+ days after I had multiple calls, texts into both his personal cell phone and the store he owns where he or other staff would just hang up on me and then let the phone ring endlessly instead of having a normal conversation? Nothing in my review was aggressive or name-calling. I simply gave facts he did not respond to me or follow through with what he told me. Once I realized Mike was never going to follow through, I called another feed shop and they were able to give me a 2 minute breakdown on what I should do in my circumstance and I handled the situation myself. read more

The owner Mike and amazing staff Hilarie and Robbie are true animal lovers. As someone who is an animal lover, vegetarian and was in rescue for many years. I haven't come across a lot of real "animal lovers" with services geared towards animals. Very different story here. First off I was so impressed by their really great high end quality products and foods. Secondly the extremely reasonable prices, the variety of things they have for all kinds of animals not just dogs and cats and their knowledge of all things organic, natural and true quality local products. Like raw honey and raw goats milk and organic local blueberries. Just some of the things. What sets this place apart is the fact that they truly care and take the time and even will stay extra after closing hours to make sure you are all set and happy. So thankful for The Feed Barn and their staff. They are always so welcoming, have great high quality products, and especially enjoy their friendly creatures (cats!) and the chickens roaming around. The new owners have really improved this business that has been around since I was a kid but started to go downhill a few years ago. They are always stocked and super helpful. My favorite interaction was the owners daughter who greeted us and asked how she could help us - she had to be 10-12 years old (she was on summer vacation!). This Feed Store is so wonderful. The people that work here are so nice and knowledgeable and the atmosphere here is so quaint. There are chickens roaming around and they are currently selling 5 month old pullets. Just about ready to lay! They are $50 a piece and so well cared for. We recently lost a hen and came to get ours a friend. They also have bunnies for sale, eggs, baby chicks, feed, shavings, treats - just about anything you could need. Great place, Mike has done such a great job with it. He has expanded on products they carry, so you can come here for more than just a bag of feed. The products are top quality and good pricing. Service here is excellent, you get that personal one on one attention and they're always informative and if they don't know the answer, they'll get back to you about it. You can tell Mike really loves the animals, he has chicks available but I feel like he'd keep them all if he could! It's one of those places where you don't just want to run in and out and grab a bag of feed, you take your time, and other customers are always chatty and willing to share what they know as well. I went after work in the evening and was told the shipment hadn't arrived as planned. I wish I knew who the man was who helped me (same gentleman who took my phone call in the AM). After he told me the shipment wasn't in, he told me he did have what i needed because he used it on his own pets...he went into his personal supply and gave me the pill I needed. I was getting out my money to pay and he told me "No, go take care of those kittens." It was a Friday, I had a very stressful week and this simple act of kindness wiped it all away.
