I had just rented my gear from the outfitters in the Canyon complex and wanted to explore the area a bit. It was too dark to go into the park at that point so I decided to pop into the shops that were open to check it out. I had zero expectations walking in but I was impressed by what I found at Canyon Market. If you're staying in the area camping or in an airbnb where you can cook, this market has a nice array of groceries like produce, frozen goods, dairy, snacks and more. If you're in a hotel room or just need some provisions for a day hike in the park they also have premade options like grab and go sandwiches, power bars, water, and a good selection of beer for imbibing if you so choose. Like most shops in the area there's also a variety of camping supplies as well as tourist friendly items like t-shirts, hats, socks, etc. Basically they have a little bit of everything you may need while visiting Springdale! read more

Very disappointing experience at Happy Market. We were asked for our passports to buy alcohol (which can be understandable), but the staff were extremely rude and slammed the beers back with unnecessary aggression. On top of that, the prices are outrageously high for what you get. Quite ironic that this supermarket is called Happy... because you leave feeling anything but. read more

I was thinking at first that this place was going to be smaller, like a gas station with some over priced food and or supplies. Saw the name supermarket and thought it was kind of funny. But the style of the place was cool, I liked that when you walk in it feels like a old air port hanger. The store has some good prices on some local merchants if you are into, shirts, hats etc. There are a few cool ones that I saw here that I would recommend. There is a deli and there is a good amount of food to select from. if you need first aid stuff though, there is not much of a selection there. read more

This market has everything you need or may have forgotten. Most things are priced 2 to 3 times what you would pay at a grocery store. There are a few deals here and there. It is in with walking distance of both Zion campgrounds. The alternative is to drive 30 plus miles to Hurricane. I treat this as a sore of last results. This was the coolest little market in Zion, and probably the only market. Their shirts are super awesome, but they only had Large sizes and up. Everything is pretty pricey, but you can literally find anything there. If you're camping you can find any camping materials you will need. I even bought a durable sleeping bag because at night it was so cold at our campsite. They even have a beer fridge with a bunch of local beers as well as worldwide favorites. read more

Canyon market is ideally located near the main entrance to Zion Nat'l Park and a stone's throw from the final town shuttle stop. For those staying at Watchman campground (like us) it was almost ideal; only a five-minute walk. The store was small, but offerings were broad, included basic groceries, firewood, ice, coolers, basic drugstore items, beer and wine, and some tourist items like T-shirts and post-cards. One aisle was dedicated to camping equipment and accessories. The only thing we really missed was a butcher area. No chicken, ground beef or steaks here. Employee not wearing mask. So the Market itself is convenient well stocked etc. But a male employee stocking shelves not wearing mask, stroking his beard restocking. In line to check out the line was getting long he pulls up his bandana goes to open another checkout lane. Well people catch his act and stay in line. He shrugs goes back to stocking. My wife and I suggest mask, he laughs it off. I mention his IQ. He asks my wife where we're from, reply AZ, he suggests that if we're afraid to travel we should stay home. Wife points out that his response has nothing to do with wearing a mask. Since I've been to every country in the world but two the suggestion to not travel is rather humorous. We came in on a Sunday morning. Doris, the woman working at the front was incredibly helpful in our finding what we needed. A broad selection of food choices for hiking, day-hiking, and hotel stays. We needed a few things and went to the Canyon Market. I found the store to be more of a convenience store with exorbitant prices. For instance, a small box of cereal, maybe 10 oz. was $10. A non-name brand of ice cream (1.5 quarts) was $7. You definitely don't want to do your weekly shopping here. The selection is very limited and will cost you at least 4 times what you would pay at a store not in a tourist town. read more
