Sol Foods is a good stop for groceries while vacationing in Springdale. Conveniently located near Zion, it offers a good selection of items despite its relatively small size. They have a variety of premade foods available, or you can order items to go. Be sure to try the salads and sandwiches--they are both fresh and delicious. The market is also a convenient place to pick up groceries to take back to your hotel suite or Airbnb if you'd rather prepare your own meals. Parking: Parking is limited. There is street parking available, as well as an underground garage with approximately 15-20 spaces. That said, I imagine many visitors simply walk to the market due to its central location. Note: Don't be surprised by some of the prices. Many everyday items cost more than you might expect, which is fairly typical for a small market in an isolated tourist town. Came in beyond hungry after a long drive unsure what we'd find. Clearly it was going to be expensive given the area, so watch your prices when you're browsing. All the way in the back, they have a beautiful build your own salad bar. Worth it! They don't have the ingredients listed, but if you find the pre-packaged food right before the sandwich/salad bar, you can find some of the ingredients depending what they have out. I'm vegan and was able to make a big delicious salad with vegan poppyseed dressing which was off the chain good! The cranberry quinoa salad was refreshing and well balanced. My partner got the only vegan wrap they offer which she said tasted great but wish they had a bigger vegan selection overall. A grocery market on the main strip of Springdale with a great selection and higher prices than a regular market in a nontouristy area, but better than the souvenir shops generally. It's decent place to stock up in for your trip to Zion and has the usual produce, pantry and pre-made foodstuffs. They also have quite a bit of souvenir type things, one of which I found cheaper here than at the pricier souvenir only shops. There's parking and they only take the major credit cards. They also close late at 11 pm which is nice for those last needs. They also have a few tables outside the store. read more

I purchased a breakfast burrito with sausage and got a burrito with ground taco meat instead of what I had ordered. I called Sol Foods and spoke with a lady named Yasena; I told her what had happed and ask for a return. I also asked how the burrito was intended to be prepared? Yasena she didn't know anything about preparation and ingredients but she definitely knew I was wrong about the taco meat. I then asked for a refund or any other options. She told me she was not going to return the food because I didn't like it. "It's a freakin burrito Yasena"! I then asked to speak to a manger. Yasena response was she was one of the managers. when I asked to speak to her boss she questioned me then disconnected the call. ( Yes (Hung up on me.) For me it was the principle of the matter; Especially with her tonality and her clear disregard of a paying customer. Note to Sol Food you rather lose a customer than give me a new breakfast option? Yes, it's expensive. It's really the only grocery store on this area, so it's going to be pricey. But they had everything we were looking for. They had a large section of premade foods - everything from pasta salads to chicken stir fry over rice to sandwiches - and a salad bar area. They have lots of other standard grocery items like microwave popcorn, hummus, snack foods and a limited selection of fruit. Parking is behind the store and "underneath" grocery store. read more

I gotta be honest, consider how far the store is from major city and the distance they have to bring the items into the store, this is a gem and very reasonable priced. Yes, the price might be (slightly) higher than say.. Dollar Tree or Walmart. But when you are in the tourist area and out nowhere, you will have to pay for some tourist fees.... BUT this is the MOST reasonable price market on the whole Zion Park Blvd. We have visited Hoodxx & Happy Cxxxxx, Sol was the cheapest and most down to earth price you can find. For example, if you want to find a pack of hotdog for $3.xx ($5.xx+ in other store) or Arizona Ice Tea for $0.99 ($1.xx+ in other store), this is the store. Plus they have other items you didn't know you might need- extendable smore/hotdot rack for $5.xx! Or you might need more charcol or firewood, they got it all at very reasonable price! Sure, the cashiers we interacted with hated to be there (or at least their attitude said so) but hey, you are not going to married them right! So just grab, pay and go on with your adventure! Cute little grocery store near the park. A bit overpriced but that's expected since it's right next to the park.

It's an overpriced organic grocery store near Zion National Park. The parking lot was located underneath the store and there was plenty of parking available. I was mainly interested in grabbing some sandwiches from the deli and water bottles/protein bars for the upcoming hikes. It had everything we needed and we got a chicken panini sandwich and a caprese sandwich, it was like $10 per sandwich and it was decent. I picked up these cherry turnover pastries that I thought looked good but the artificial cherry flavor was so bad and it had a medicine taste so I tossed it out. Store was pretty empty. This is the largest market in Springdale. I always come here on every trip to Zion. They have everything a small grocery store would have plus ice, prepared refrigerated foods, deli, souvenirs, clothing including bathing suits plus bathrooms. They even have a few tables in a decently nice courtside area just outside the front of the store so you can enjoy your food you just bought. Parking is underground. There's also a lot of variety than compared to other groceries in the area. 2) parking was easy and efficient around 7:30pm. 3) don't get the panini sandwiches. They also only have cold cut options besides the veggies. It was the most disappointing one I've ever had. We ordered 2: one mesquite turkey and garden/veggie on. This is definitely the biggest grocery store near the Zion. Do not bother going to the east side of Zion since they do not have much of anything. There are plenty of free parking at the basement. Just park and walk around to get to the front of the store. Lots of gifts, drinks and food you can prep, heat up or put it between the bread. Also sells beers too. At the back has the deli counter for hot food items, sliced meats and also made to order sandwiches. Since there aren't any places like this nearyby unless you are in St George, they kinda have it monopolized. It is a huge, clean and well run store with friendly employees. read more

Not sure why this has so many poor reviews. It can be so difficult to eat healthy on a trip and they make it easy. Prices are "touristy" but not anything outrageous. They probably have over 100 drinks, a microwave for customer use, tons of souvenirs, and something to eat for whatever mood you are in. Very cool store! read more

Hydration drinks... power bars... snacks for adults kids... you name it... they have a very substantial markup. I spot checked many items over the course of three days... and they are pricier than the most boutique grocery stores in California..NY... Maui. You wont have an opportunity to turn back.. it's the only one in town. They do have a very good selection of items for a tourist. lots of stuff to choose from. The sandwich bar is decent. Also they stay open late. Parking is very limited during peak hours and parking in SPRINGDALE is very limited .. there is no street parking at all. the whole town is a tourist trap. I don't know if it is a play on words that Sol foods and whole foods rhyme,But they have similarities. This place has a lot of niche items you would not expect them to have. In particular, they have a lot of gluten-free options which is important to me. However, just in general, it is a nice little upscale store that we really liked. Got sandwiches here during the holiday around 6Pm and there was a deli clerk making sandwiches while eating....this definitely isn't very safe to do because of the spread of germs, especially since she was putting food in her mouth with gloves on and then making sandwiches with the same gloves... This food establishment definitely doesn't practice food safety or teach it to their staff. read more

Sol Foods was convenient while staying in Springdale to pick up deli-made sandwiches, chips and a drink to take out on our days in Zion Park and Kolob Canyon. We went 3 times during our stay and the staff were pleasant. You can order sandwiches at the back or pick up pre-made ones in the refrigerators. They open at 7am and close at 11pm, which is really convenient. They offer a variety of food and drink as well as stickers, magnets, postcards and hardware. It's one of those fun stores to wander around, even if you do get sticker shock at the prices. Small underground parking lot, steps from the entrance to the store. Outdoor seating available if you want to eat your deli sandwich there. I would give one more star if the prices weren't so high. Having said that, the options in Springdale are limited, so we were grateful that we could get lunch-to-go and be on our way for the day. read more

This is the only real market in town. There's another one across the street and down a little ways but the selections don't even compare. You are in a tourist town "out in the middle of nowhere" so be prepared to pay dearly. In the three nights that we were in town, we were at the store twice. We got items such as grab & go salads, a watermelon, a whole bunch of Arizona Ice Teas that were pre-priced at 99-cents each and some dried fruit. Truthfully, the prices were not outrageous. With todays cost of fuel and supply chain issues, we should be glad that they've managed to keep the shelves full. We wanted to get some deli meat and self-assembled salads from the salad bar but the deli doesn't open until 11am and we were heading out of town before then. One thing that they do that's nice is offer a "Locals Discount Card" to residents and employees who work in Springdale. I know this because I was asked by the cashier if I had a locals card. I told her no, and jokingly said but you can swipe yours for me. I got the dirtiest look from her. I would suggest that when cards are issued, the customer be told to present the card at the register. If they forget, too bad, no discount, no going back. TL;DR: Latest place open in town (2300 local time); deli; beer & wine; vegan options Full review: Night owls beware, this town closes down early, even during peak season according to the market associate. The town, including restaurants, close at 2100 local time, leaving the supermarket the last one open until 2300. My fault but still: at 2030 decided it might be wise to figure something out to eat for later. No delivery options and none of the order online options were working. My Google search results all said 'closing soon', scolding me for waiting so long to figure my dinner out. I quickly skimmed through menus, leaving the one options that closed at 2130 for last. Call place #1 - not accepting take out orders. Call place #2 - no answer. Call place #3 (last option that closes at 2130) - voicemail. So off I head to the local market, literally the last open place in the entire town. Big trucks beware: The parking structure for the market is very low. The nice people have tennis balls hanging from the structure entrance to let you know if you are going to tear your roof off. I have a Land Rover Defender without roof racks and had to lower the vehicle and still irrationally ducked as I drove to a parking spot. Pleasant surprise (doesn't happen often): The deli was closed (not sure what time it closed) but had some selections in the refrigerator section such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, and deli items (macaroni and potato salads, pasta salads, bean salads, veggie salads, etc.). I grabbed a couscous salad and lentil salad. Bakery items were available but none looked vegan, though they had frozen dessert options that were plant-based and vegan. Lots of canned soup and frozen entree selections that were plant-based, as well. Fresh fruits and veggies, too! Overall, not a bad option even if you have no other options. Either bring your own bag, use one of their free boxes, don't buy more than you can carry, or pay $0.10 for a paper bag. read more

We were looking for soup and they had 4 kinds. Chicken noodle, tomato bisque, chili and a cream soup, maybe broccoli. My wife loved the chicken noodle and tomato bisque. We also had ordered a sandwich. The sandwich was nicely prepared and hot the soup and sandwich cravings that we had was answered. The store also had the supermarket feel with lots of food essentials. My family of 4 got out of here with 3 build your own salads, two small soups, and a sandwich for less than $40, which seemed pretty reasonable for a tourist town. My goodness my fellow Yelpsters. This place is great for what it is, a little market at the entry of paradise. This isn't no Stater Bros, Ralphs, etc. it is a local corner market so prices are expected to be higher but it is not that bad. So let me break it down. The store was clean, service was friendly, and the selection of food and other Knick knacks were great. There are plenty of stuff on sale. No one is asking to indulged in overpriced cookies as some choose to complain. There is a deli where you can get fresh meat carved at prices similar to city prices and the offer fresh soup. We grabbed a bunch of items for a day trip and it cost us about $30 as pictured. It beats eating at the restaurants, Yes there are stuff that is overpriced but imagine how hard it is to get some of these items up there, especially some items that are not in high demand. Overall this is a great place get groceries and items you need if you are bored of the restaurant selections. Prices are fair, nothing more than Whole Foods. It is great local market. read more

Great grocery store! While I was in Zion there was a flash flood and mud slide - they were the ONLY place open to get food. They are a wonderfully stocked grocery store and the deli is fantastic. Walked out with a freshly made hot pizza, salad, and cinnamon roll - everything was tasty! The deli workers apologized for the wait (maybe 10 minutes in a very busy store - really no wait at all) and the cashier was very friendly. read more
