When passing through town, we ended up here for dinner given that a lot of things were closed. We were able to easily locate everything that we wanted with fast and friendly service. There are self check out that was quick to use. Their deli section is robust with a lot of premade options that were tasty. I will say the chicken tenders were very heavy on salt there. Aside from that we enjoyed their cheese ball, crab salad, premade, deli, salads, and sandwiches. They also have a microwave and café area that you can use. Overall, this is a good place to pop into if you need some items in town. read more

I was hesitant to visit this store while passing through Hurricane, but needed a few items and took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, and impressed, by the cleanliness of the store as well as the good variety of merchandise. The store was buzzing because it was the day before the Super Bowl... shoppers were busy buying their groceries and were all courteous and polite. We got into the checkout line, and our checker was quick, professional, friendly, and polite. As we finished, and were leaving, the courtesy clerk (who was bagging groceries) wished us a good day... although the store was very busy, and crowded, it was a very pleasant experience! When I walked into lins market, my nose was assaulted by a cacophony of various aromas. It was so delectable and appealing that my clinical nose bleed was almost triggered, but thankfully I avoided it. As I strolled past the deli, memories of Katz deli in Old Baltimore flashed through my mind. As a proud Baltimoron, a new spring entered my New Balance clad legs, and I nearly tripped over the laces. I would recommend this store for anyone, but especially for librarians(or even book club lovers.) I especially love the beautiful colors of the shelves, and really appreciated the really splendid array of scrumptious chips. I absolutely adore garlic chips(even though they cause indegestion) , and there was much appreciated selection to be had. Also, they had really great bathrooms, that were very sanitary(I am covid conscious.)If anyone not covidox is reading this, please respect others, and keep your distance and wash your hands for 3 to 5 minutes. Love shopping at Lins ,Hurricane. It's a straight up grocery market. By that I mean no clothes or other things to stray away for what you went in for. Oh yes they have tourist items, but for locals, its a great go to neighborhood market. I especially love their produce. Its fresh, last long, and they sell local raised items, when available. The store is older but very clean. Their bakery is FANTASTIC! THE BEST DONUTS, GLAZED MY FAV, their cakes and deli are very good too. They have a great cheese selection also, and I can usually, find everything I need for something special. Their personnel are very helpful and will do whatever possible to make your shopping a good experience. I ,myself, perfer to shop at this "smaller neighborhood store" as opposed to a larger market. read more

Poor attitude. I parked and ran to the store just as it was closing. The guy standing by the door didn't even bother to look at me as I called out. When I asked if they're closed, he didn't even have the courtesy to turn around and look at me. Just gave me a sideways glance, with his back turned to me, and nodded. When I don't feel up to baking birthday cakes, Lin's is my go to place. They usually do a great job on my custom ordered cakes. However, I was disappointed one time when the guy in the bakery couldn't write Happy Birthday on one of my cakes... He said his handwriting was awful. And the girls in the deli said they had too much to do and couldn't help. He ended up giving me the bag of frosting and I had to write on my own cake... As for anything else in the store, I go 3 minutes down the road to Walmart... Lin's is over priced on everyday groceries. read more

I thought I was doing the right thing by traveling light and figured I'd do my grocery shopping local since we were staying across the street at Willow Wind. Bad idea!!!!! This place is so over priced and I should have brought food from home in CA. They are so over priced and no discount unless you sign up for some point system but I'm not a local so why would I do that. I give two stars because they had extremely friendly staff and quality products. But I wish I would have done my research beforehand. I was gouged at the register when I paid for 12 items. I couldn't believe it but I guess you live and learn. Yes, they carry a variety of items but I can't deal with over priced items. They have plenty of parking but that's about it. read more

I'm honestly surprised at how low the rating is for this place! This grocery store is a mix of Safeway and Trader Joe's. They have amazing vegan options. Went in for hummus and came out with 5 other things because of how reasonable the prices were. We went back the next day to get supplies for chickpea pasta and garlic bread which was perfect! I went to LINs to purchase some wic foods for my kids, when it came to check out I, I mentioned to the cashier that it was WIC . She proceeded to scan my items. When it came time to pay she mentioned my card was "canceled" I asked her politely a she was sure. She attempted a second time and this time again she said again that my wic was canceled. As she mentioned this I opened up my wic app and I was able to see that My wic benefits were up-to date and wouldn't expire for another few weeks or so. So I asked again a THIRD TIME if she would please try one more time or please have the manager come help. Mind you I was only following WIC protocol where they tell you that if you happen to come across issues with your card you should ask for the store manager as "he or she" would be the most experienced with WIC. This seemed to Agitate the cashier and she decided that the best way to handle this would be by raising her voice at me saying very rudely, "EXCUUUUSE ME! I HAVE WORKED WITH WIC BEFORE I KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB, I CANT HELP YOU, THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL DONT YOU GET YOUR WIC CARD IS CANCLLEEED!! I was very shocked to get this reaction from her as I believe this isn't the way you should speak to a costumer specially if they're being patient and polite. To my surprise She did end up calling the her supervisor but it wasnt to help me out , she called him to cancel my order. When he approached the cash register I did ask him "excuse me can you pls try again, I believe there is an error" but as I was speaking he just simply ignored me and casually walked away. I was left with no other choice but to walk out of the store feeling very upset. I ended up going to another store where I was able to get all my shopping done successfully. And that other store had OUTSTANDING customer service. To all my other fellow people using WIC DO NOT SHOP AT LINS! There are other stores that I know will have much better costumer service and will gladly help you out if you ask. read more

What Ron wrote -- " a solid, full-service supermarket" sums it up pretty well. They do have a pharmacy inside, but last-time I price-checked a prescription, the same item/same quantity was about $65 at Lin's & $25 at the Walmart 2 miles to the West. The one item that usually gets me in the door on a routine basis is a type of bread that they bake there, though it's a gamble as to whether or not any will be left when I get there in the late afternoon. Staff are friendly & helpful, even asking if you'd like assistance transporting your groceries to your car. They are a major part of the local community, allowing special local charities to raise funds on their property, etc -- things that the big chains can't do -- and a lot of their cashiers & baggers seem to be local high-school students. The one complaint I have is the guy in their bakery department who seems to love to use the PA system to rant on & on about fresh bread coming out of the oven, etc. It's OK to a point, but this guy just likes hearing himself talk! Another thing, though I'm not sure if they can control it or not --most weekends in the Spring/Summer it seems like I always see the same husband & wife parked near State Street advertising puppies for sale out of their van. read more

If things are on sale they're a good price however, everything else is priced a little (some alot) higher than normal. They do have a good meat department though but must be on sale or it's way overpriced also! And don't get a money order there. They are behind d the times of course and still only accept cash for one. Everywhere else including Walmart will let you pay with cash or a debit card. Best supermarket in the area and exceptional all on its own. The Lin's oatmeal wheat bread was so good that we bought it twice over 3 days. Dont bother w the Davis Farmers Market. It sounds good but is pretty expensive, has poor produce and really no better than Luckys (standard and bad, nothing organic, nothing that indicates they are trying to be green) in the bay area. read more

Way overpriced compared to Walmart which is 5 minutes away. They go on the radio pleading about supporting a local store but their prices are insane. $5 for Oreos ? Cmon. Other than being overpriced, my other gripe is from the parking lot. The lines for the spaces are not even at all so you could have a lot of room or be seemingly on top of each other depending on the spot. It's best to park by the post office/pharmacy window. Gets 2 stars because sometimes they have items that Walmart doesn't like rotisserie chickens. Walmart sometimes runs out but lins usually doesn't, although the I think they were 8 or 9 bucks compared to walmarts $5. I've seen them as low as $2.50 at Walmart. I'd go here if I needed one or two items. I'm not going full grocery shopping here especially since a 5 minute drive will save you a lot of money at Walmart. read more

This store at the 1 hour closing time is a joke. They only have 1-2 lines open and I have seen the lines back to the butcher shop. So during this pandemic they close early for, they group you up this last hour. I watched people push their full carts to the side and leave. Everyone in this line at this time is not happy. We stopped by to stock up on some camping "essentials", ie, an assortment of cookies, snack foods, and other such caloric disasters when we were visiting Zion's. The service was great, and they had several taste sample tables, which is A-OK in my book. A nice guy in the bakery talked me into getting a box of seasonal pumpkin cookies, which barely survived the trip back to the cabin. I love this store. I go there for their deli sandwiches. It takes a minute for the deli ladies to make it but they are always good. I bought my daughters birthday cake from them. I had them personalize it with a photo. I was a little disappointed with the frosting (I asked for cream cheese, it wasn't) but all in all they are a great place to shop and they are a big part of the community. Bought a loaf of bread only to find it moldy when I got home. As others have said "check expiration dates". I've found many items past the expiration date. The deli can be hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a friendly staff member and other times you'll get someone that just seems to hate their job and YOU TOO! Same in the meat dept. All in all, I usually avoid shopping there if at all possible. They have a nice selection of products, but the old expired stuff and the rude staff make me drive right past them to shop at better places. read more

We don't have much choice here in Hurricane, UT so Lin's is the closest grocery. The meats are great but be very careful in the DAIRY DEPARTMENT, CHECK EXPERATION DATES ON EVERYTHING. In the last month I have had to throw away 3 gallons of milk that I bought at lin's they were not expired but still sour/clumpy and thick. This was the Western Family 2% milk. Today I was in there and talked to the manager of the dept he didn't seem fazed and I then pointed out a whole row of Daisy sour creme they had on sale 2 for $5, they had all expired on October 20, 2014. He again didn't seem to worried about it. Didn't see him remove the items either. They just want to make a buck I guess read more
