Huge Walmart and nicely priced white peaches and nectarines. Found some nice tank tops and breakfast items. Only odd thing was no mirrors around, only in the fitting rooms. Maybe they're cracking down on people trying things on. Both the men and women bathrooms in the back of the store were closed, we went to the front ones and they were decent. read more

Super great Walmart - as a super store it's big & spacious with tons to shop for. Enjoy a walmart that doesn't have things locked up & plenty of staff to assist and very polite. Another great feature is having a deli area in the front for quick and easy finds for dinner or a quick bite. Store is clean and well stocked with inventory. The line was short with only 2 in front of me and the service cashier was very sweet and was laughing with us about our purchases from the garden department. read more

We arrived in Hurricane, UT and had an AirBNB reserved. We went to this Wal-Mart first and bought about $250 worth of food. When we arrived at our AirBNB we found out it had been double booked so we had to stay in a hotel instead. We immediately went back to Wal-Mart to return the food that we had bought and they refused to let us return ANY of it. This includes canned items, closed boxes of cereal, etc. This is not Wal-Mart policy. This is the policy of their manager. Don't shop here. read more

They had a knee brace that I needed but it was the last one! No one wearing masks in here which is weird when you're from California and everyone wears them. I initially didn't want to leave this review because this encounter is fresh, but I thought I needed to share it. Overall the store has a large selection, pretty much anything you could need. The produce is ok. Lettuce is normally yellow, but my wife and I like their berries and apples and other selections. There are maybe 20 cashier counters and at any given time you might have 3 that are operational. Basically forcing you to decide to check yourself out at the automated stations. As for tonight I went in for a couple things like dog food, yogurt and a couple other essentials I was needing. I also picked up a 12 pack of Miller Lite. As I got to the counter I had my ID ready only to hear the cashier say "so sorry sir, I cannot sell this to you" I asked why only to hear that basically she has the right to determine if someone has previously had anything to drink and then to refuse to allow them to purchase alcohol. Needless to say I was not impaired. I was not under the impression a Walmart cashier has had training in determining someone's impairment let alone the power to deny someone purchasing something legally. I didn't fight her. I just went to the gas station next door and got what I wanted without question. This type of power should not be given to a CASHIER. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. This WALMART suffers from poor attitude Supervisors. Is it upper management or the person,? Either way, our recent WALMART PU was a nightmare, 2 hour delay with no message, then had to wait an additional 4 hours. We selected a 7-8am pu and due to WALMART APP issues on their side our order won't be threads until 2pm. As out of towners we now are waiting in the WALMART PU now 6+ hours. The on duty Supervisor for this department had the ability to correct this and have our order pulled sooner; however, chose not too! Now one would d guess this might be due to staff being behind or busy BUT NO that wasn't or isn't the case, as a matter of fact, staff told us they were way ahead today and could have easily got our order filled timely. While waiting we have signed up for Smith's/Rally's and will be order from them going forward! AVOID ORDERING FROM THIS LOCATION IF YOU ARE A SNOWBIRD TRAVELING,YOU MAY END UP IN A WALMART PARKING LOT SITTING IN YOUR CAR, and checking in late to your reservation. Bye WALMART. read more

I started out this morning believing that I was going to be picking up my eye glasses from Walmart. I was so happy because I was leaving on vacation the next day and when I ordered the glasses I told the lady that I REALLY needed my new glasses. So I got a call yesterday telling me the glasses would arrive TODAY. Wheh I called in the morning to check what time to go pick them up, I was told that it would be another couple of days before they would arrive... my disappointment turned into frustration - mainly because of my lack of glasses for my vacation. I asked to speak to the manager. Her name was/is April. After a upsetting beginning of the conversation about my frustration regarding the mix up in delivery date and her only telling me there was NOTHING she could do, she asked me what I wanted. I told April that I wanted to be compensated for the inconvenience this has caused me. I felt that I was " lied" to actually and given misinformation that set me up for a HUGE upsetting situation. Finally April asked me what she could do to make me happy. (Having my glasses for my vacation- would be the real answer to that question, but that was not happening) April at the end of the conversation, offered to give me the glasses for free. I told April that to me that I GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! She had the power to DO SOMETHING...and she offered what she could. In my mind that was April "managing" a bad situation that best she could instead of saying 'sorry - the glasses have not arrived and there was nothing she could do ' ( which was what I was told by the person who originally answered the call. I am still very saddened to have to go on my vacation without being able to see with my new glasses but I feel the manager did her part in offering GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wasn't looking for free glasses but it certainly helped the disappointment and frustration I was feeling. I know this was a LONG read but I wanted to acknowledge Walmart's eye center ( and especially April) for making sure I was as happy as she could possibly have made me in the situation. Thank you so much for providing us with reasonable sustenance during our stay at the Zion National Park area. The half price fried chicken at the deli, baggie of totinos, hot pockets, French bread and a black box red wine. After checking out we were set for the rest of our stay. We were coming back from doing the timber creek overlook trail at Zion, and we were plenty hungry by the time we went to drive back to the hotel. After browsing and browsing and browsing on yelp for places to eat, we really didn't fancy anything at the time. So we just decided to just grab something at a grocery shop, stock up on food and we'll be ok for the rest of our stay. I mean, we did have a microwave in the room and we could borrow plates and cutlery sets from the hotel kitchen. We found this spot, it was a bit of a drive, but I guess that's how everything is around here. It seems as if it's still a fairly new Walmart, everything is nice and clean. It's not very busy, so there's always staff around eager to help you out in times of need. The staff behind the deli counter are definitely above and beyond employees. Lady who helped us out told us that the chicken was already on 50% off since it was already the end of the night. At the point we ended up just buying everything out and it only came out to be around $5 for all that chicken. Anyways, I could tell you our shopping story here at this Walmart all day, but lemme just end it on the point. This place is great and I would definitely come back and shop here again. Today I went to Walmart located in Hurricane Utah and was able to find some Lysol Spray and Generic Disinfected Wipes since I haven't been so fortunate since this Pandemic started. So there was no signage stating 1 per customer as the cashier Jessica stated, but she was quick to tell me I could only purchase one per household. I explained to her I was purchasing an additional one because my husband has not had any for his truck since March .. she snatched them out of my hand and said I couldn't purchase them . Then she turned to discuss me with another customer by also using her clerk card to clear him through. I then asked for management and William approached Jessica and she went on to tell him I was trying to get two of each item and I also approached William and explained to him that I was getting the extra for my husbands truck and that he was coming in today and have been without since March and really needed it and if he needed him to come in could he hold it there at the register until he got off at 7pm. He stated he couldn't hold it and plus the rule is the rules ; one per household. I asked them why did Jessica say that she would hold it there at the register then? William has no response.. I proceeded to get another customer to purchase the items and they told her she couldn't do that for me. My thing is why did this Manager and Cashier take it upon themselves to be so nasty with the attitude and the handling of this entire situation... I wasn't tying to get over, steal or anything but U would've thought that was the case. What business was it of the other customer and why did they not want to provide better customer service. read more

Excellent online grocery order curbside pickup. I do grocery pickups here every few weeks and they are always on time and quick to bring out my order. I have some really bad experiences at many other Walmarts at the hurricane location just seems to have it figured out. The grocery pickups are always quick and accurate. I've never had a missing item in about 3 years of doing pickups here. The cedar city grocery pickup is horrendous. read more

Store manager was out front yelling at everyone in the parking lot that the store was closed in an extremely aggressive manner even though the Walmart app said they were open until 11. The subway that is attached to this walmart gives free COOKIES ! If you are traveling east to Zion national Park on road SR-9. Stop by this walmart there is a fill station right off the road as well. I don't even want to give them a one star. I spent 30 minutes with two people trying to find something in the electronics. An iPhone. Then the manager came 30 minutes later. I spent an hour and 10 minutes and everyone had no idea what to do. They acted like I was putting them out. One lady said I just came on it's not my fault. She had shoulder length dark hair. Delivery! I shop online for the convenience and I hardly ever have time to go grocery shopping. Delivery is generally okay, but man you have to watch your list. I once had 1/2 of a $500 order go missing. I hate having to inventory everything as it comes in the door. Only time I do is when its blatantly obvious things are missing. Unpredictable. Unreliable. Resolution is to credit you for whats missing, convenience be damned. If I have to go out my door to shop for $500-1000 in groceries, I'm not going to Walmart on principal alone. Probably okay with a small order Actually, I just got a "small order" and 8 items were missing. It was 2 gallons of missing milk that got me triggered. Pretty cool to have a Walmart open 24/7, especially in an area when there's not too much around. We stopped here twice while staying in town to pick up groceries and some essentials. It's a pretty big location, very clean and well lit. The employees were friendly and actually willing to help if you have questions. I had trouble finding a few items because things were in different areas than I'm used to and the employees were able to point me in the right direction. They have a lot of checkout lanes but on both visits they only had about two or three open. We opted for self checkout since the lines weren't moving very quickly. Super accessible location, near the main freeway. Nice, safe stop to get whatever you need. read more

I tried Walmart, Ordering on line due to Covid 19. I was excited at first, got discouraged because a lot of things were not available. So my order was fairly small. 13 items to be exact. My husband didn't want me to go into any business so I figured I'd try Walmart! So well before Easter I ordered, I got 1/3 of my order 3 weeks later. Id.ordered 8 cans of Bush Beans. Got 6. Ordered Tied Pods just got them today April 27th. I ordered Dove assorted Easter Chocolate, Never Have Gotten them. I ordered the new eye drops, looked like someone stepped on the box! Container ok. I ordered k kips 48 ok for my Kureg, box had beed caved in but Pods ok. I ordered 2 feminine products, they were fine. I then tried contacting the mailing order customer service re the missing items. They just kept telling me that everything had beed delivered except for the Tide Pods. I replied, no I am missing 2 cans of beans and the $17.97 bag of Dove Choclates.. Again they insisted everything had been delivered but the Tide Pods. I'm upset but will not trust them again, with a online food order. I've lost approximately 22 dollars as 90 plus posted on my check card. It's horrible to have to contact them via a computer rather then by phone. Very disappointed in their home delivery service. It was nice to be able to pick up things for our RV, our hike in Zion, groceries, stuff for our day at the lake and a few other necessities too! This walmart is a place of interest in Utah. We saw people dressed in pioneer clothing, according to someone else they were Mormon Fundamentalists. But it's a huge Walmart! I live in Los Angeles and Walmart are very limited here. So it was weird to experience such a big Walmart that also sold produce amongst other things. But beers in Utah are so weird! Went to get an oil change and they called me 15 minutes after I left and asked ME to get an oil filter for my truck that THEY are servicing. So I did it. And then another 15 minutes later they called me again and said they don't have my kind of oil for my truck and they had me go to the parts store AGAIN and had me get my own oil so at this point I'm spending over $115 of my own money to get then stuff that they should have and they I still get charged for my vehicle being serviced... not ok at all. This Wal Mart serves all the families from the many nearby polygamist compounds in Colorado City, so if you want to get an eyeful of poufy-haired women in long prairie dresses shopping for industrial-sized cans of powdered meatloaf, this is your spot. It's FASCINATING! Minivan after minivan rolls up, disgorging bevies of polygamist tots and their puffy-sleeved moms, many of them pregnant with kid #17. Once inside, there are shelves upon shelves of canned, powdered foods, perfect for stocking the apocalypse bunker maintained by every good Mormon mom: powdered milk, powdered Jell-O, powdered chipped beef. GROSS! I can't emphasize enough how interesting this place is, from an anthropological standpoint. CHECK IT OUT!!! read more

People have asked me, "What's the night life like in Hurricane, UT?" My response is, "Walmart! It's the only thing open here past 8pm!" Even though the parking lot may appear full of cars, it's never crowded inside. Well, in comparison to the Southern California locations that I've frequented. Utah locations have Subway inside rather than McDonalds. Very interesting. I like that this location is fairly stocked and 90% of the time will find what I'm looking for, from new cosmetics to watermelon flavored Oreo cookies. The staff are ok, they don't try to run off if you have a question, but be prepared that they might not know where certain items are located. Customers - OhEmGee! People don't pay attention to where they are walking and my car was bumped many times. People were taking selfies, cart riders were driving like it was the Indy 500, and kids - they're everywhere! So, if you've got patience and you're in the mood for some Doritos at 3am, this is the place to go! read more
