After spending time hiking around Zion, I stopped by Bumbleberry Bakery in Springdale! I wanted something cold and sweet. Ice cream sounded perfect! I ended up getting two scoops with vanilla, caramel, and brownie bites! It really hit the spot! After being out on the Zion trails for the morning and early afternoon, that first bite of the ice cream was amazing! The brownie bite pieces made it feel a little more like a dessert, and the caramel added just the right amount of sweetness! I also tried a bite of the banana ice cream, and that one was good too. Banana can sometimes be too strong for me, depending on the ice cream flavor, but this one was enjoyable and easy to eat. The bakery/gift shop itself is also fun to walk around. It has that classic Springdale tourist stop feel, with souvenirs, sweets, shirts, and little Zion themed items to browse before or after heading into the park. It's the kind of place where you stop in for ice cream and somehow end up looking around at everything else too! Bumbleberry Bakery was a fun and easy stop after hiking Zion. Was craving a sweet treat after hiking in Zion and saw that this place is super close! I was intrigued by the "bumbleberry", but ended up getting the early morning shuttle (or some variant of that name) -- which was coffee and a whole mix of other yummy things. The flavors altogether were delicious. I appreciated how creative they are with the flavor names. The waffle cone wasn't my favorite of waffle cones, but does the job in holding the ice cream without dripping. Service was pretty quick! They limit # of customers in front of the ice cream scooping area, so it doesn't get too crowded. If you're there to get non-ice cream things they can take your order before you get to the ice cream area. It looked like it's a mix of blueberries and blackberries, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Super good. The ice cream was also delicious. They give color-changing spoons, which my kids loved. And the turnover was good even eating it the next morning. They also sell other goodies like fudge, popcorn (many flavors), and whole coffee beans. And the places to sit are so cute! So good I had to come back twice! We visited Zion National Park and stayed at The Red Cliffs Lodge and Bumbleberry Bakery was right across the street (lucky us)! Both were really good but the cobbler ice cream was on another level. The chunks of pie crust in it were amazing and I was honestly shocked at how phenomenal it was. Creamy, sweet, and so good that I wish I could have taken a pint home. The chocolate bumbleberry ice cream was also delicious with chocolate chunks and bumbleberry inside that made it creamy and rich. Their bumbleberry macaroons were incredible too. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and the bumbleberry flavor tasted like a sweeter blueberry with just the right balance. Such a perfect match for both macaroons and ice cream. We also grabbed their cotton candy with coconut and pineapple flavors which was fun, fruity, and made me feel like a kid again. They have a big variety of desserts I want to try next time we visit. This place smells wonderful and has such a wide array of options to choose from. I had to get something with Bumbleberry (it's in the name!), so I got a slice of Bumbleberry pie to go. Bela was sweet. She asked me if I wanted ice cream with it or the pie slice warmed up, but I declined. The pie is definitely homemade. Even though the pie slice had sprinkled sugar on top of the crust, it wasn't really sweet at all. Pie crust was not crispy and more on the softer side. My partner is someone who doesn't eat dessert often and actually liked the pie. If you're someone that doesn't like overly sweet stuff, you will like this. Paid $6.49 for the slice, which includes tip. Pie was fine, but I'd be interested to come here again to try some of their other treats and beverages. read more
