They charged me $16 for a replacement tab because the first one they gave was defective and wouldn't stick to the license plate. They said they would have replaced it for free if I had come in the same day but my husband and I both work full time so getting the time to get into their office and wait in line for who knows how long is extremely difficult. It didn't change the date of my registration or cost any more than if I had been able to come in the same day to replace but they still had to find some way to rip me off just because they can. Absolutely disgusting and goes to exactly why so many people despise certain government agencies. read more

After getting turned away at another location (shall be left unnamed), we were trying to get plates for a car transferred to WA from California (2010 Lexus IS250). 1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. The unfortunate part is that the payment terminal charges $2.25 per transaction (3% of the tx for $75.01+ on credit cards), so I'd recommend using a debit card (flat $2.25). In total, the title registration and plates cost $198 (before the debit tx processing fee). Not bad! 2) QUALITY: 10/10. The staff promptly acknowledged us, and worked efficiently on our case with no hassles or interruptions. The clerk made sure the phone number on record was correct (repeating it back to us) and ensured we understood the expectations (signing, dating the right locations, verifying info, etc) as outlined by the documents. We received our plates immediately after paying the title registration fees! 3) SERVICE: 10/10. We were in and out within 15 minutes - even with waiting for less than 5 minutes outside (there's a max of 6 people in the lobby). Got there at 5:55 and because I had an out of state title she reminded me that they were almost closed. Ok, I still got there within your hours. She told me my car was worth 8k which is astronomically higher than it's value and said to come back another day since she wasn't going to help look another value and it'd take "10 more minutes". I've spent months tracking down signatures for this truck just to be stopped again by someone who could t spare 10 minutes. Took me 3 minutes to prove off of Edmonds that the truck is worth 2100. 4/11 @ 530pm (Second visit) After an easy and pleasant transaction earlier in the morning, I returned in the afternoon for another auto registration. This car is from out of state w/ a lienholder. Their website says "If a lienholder holds the title, you'll need either a faxed or photocopy of the title, UNLESS THE LIENHOLDER INFORMATION IS SHOWN ON YOUR REGISTRATION" which our registration clearly showed. The employee who helped us did not know this information let alone know about the website and therefore did not honor this. She got all defensive when I calmly pointed this out and started jumping to conclusions "that information was PROBABLY taken out of context".... uumm what?!? You didnt even know about the website and now youre assuming to know what's on it? Long story short, we left frustrated and empty handed thanks to the employee who clearly knew everything. ZERO STARS! 4/11 @ 1130am (First visit) Prompt service, friendly staff, little to no wait and best part yet... $275 tab fees for a 2009 Nissan Frontier.. not too bad! These guys are a little more on the ball than the usual licensing places. Even if you don't have something more outside the norm to license, you'll still save time here. But if you're licensing a turkey hunt, a trailer, etc., then these guys will get the job done more efficiently than most places. It's a small space, but the employees know their stuff and they keep the line moving. There's an ATM there They're open Saturdays They're open late Wednesdays They even have a pop machine They kinda thought of everything when it comes to getting licenses, tabs, and so on out to the public. I had a keystone kops experience with my last truck purchase, and these guys handled all the goofy snafus just fine for their part. One thing to keep in mind...they're always busy. Expect a long line, even if it does move fast. There's really no such thing as five minute tabs anywhere. read more

I always remembered growing up, how whenever we had to go to the licensing department, it was always long lines, short tempers, rude people, and an activity you do as little as possible. Canyon Park Licensing blew me away. Not only is it well staffed, with short lines, on both occasions while I tried to navigate getting an out of state car licensed and titled, I was so kindly treated by staff with all the knowledge required to get me through it. It wasn't a fluke, either. Both visits were the same. Great people, friendly, worked through a few unusual snags, and got us title and license and out the door. Kudos to everyone here. I have been getting vehicle tab renewals here for years. Having moved in and out of state several times in the last decade or so, I have been in often for new plates and registration. Staff is always helpful, patient, and good at explaining things. I highly recommend the onsite services. The only thing keeping me from a five-star review is they are not very good about answering their phone or returning messages, so I highly advise coming to see them in person if at all possible. read more

This location can't print a document that I needed to transfer a title. Forced me to leave and find a print shop and print it myself. Took the print shop 1 minute. Quick car titles are an extra $50 bucks, but you get it within about 10mins. Bring the title, cash or debit card (ATM available) and your driver license. The employees were friendly and kept the line moving. Three of them were there on a Saturday afternoon, working hard to get everyone taken care of. Also, I had no idea people hunted wild turkeys around here, but they do sell licenses for that.... and offer brochures on the subject. read more

Living near (and in) Bothell meant being lucky enough to be near TWO Licensing places (and a driver's license office to boot until they closed it for all that construction) Though I will still visit Worthington License in downtown on occassion, over the years the service there has gotten surlier. They're still good for having better hours than most. But, here at Canyon Park Licensing, the service has stayed really great. Regardless of the situation I had to deal with (and I've had some doozies, itellyouwhat) they are always quick, efficient, helpful. Ample parking in the large grocery/strip mall complex. P.S. I dreaded standing in a long line at Canyon Park Licensing since I couldn't make it until after work at 4:30. I was pleasantly surprised in that I was second in line! :) I got a little hassle from the girl helping me, but when I presented some official documentation (one must always come prepared) she cooled right down and gave me my tabs.... well not gave, I paid up the ying-yang for those things!!! After emmissionswent to renew tabs for my motorhome and buy a Discover Pass. Great weekend for camping! I put on the tabs and drove off before realizing I had not received the Discover Pass. I called and was told the passes are mailed in a couple weeks. Hmmm, that was never mentioned when I requested one.s weekend. When I spoke to Erica, she said I would have to come back in, void the whole transaction, start over, and "it will cost $35 to fix this". WHAT?!!! Your mistake costs me another trip to the office, that I get, but I also have to pay extra for this mistake the agent made? So I normally pick up my tabs, but due to the pandemic, I decided to have them mailed. I was instructed by both DOL and the website for Canyon Park Licensing to make sure my address was correct with the DOL. Easy! Well, I never got my tabs because they went to my old address. I call, and they say that they have my old address on file and I would have to pay a fee to get more tabs. No one cares that their website instructs people to check/update address on DOL. they don't check the DOL so don't bother. You have to make sure THEY have your correct address, otherwise you have to pay more and come pick them up anyway. And it's uncomfortable when the lobby gets packed in a pandemic. read more

I spoke with Shannon here, she assured me she would send a fax to them and would contact me when completed. 15 seconds after i hung up with her i received a call from a fax machine. She obviously accidentally faxed the document to me. I tried calling back, went right to voicemail, i left a message. No one called back. I contacted them on Saturday and a rude female told me they don't haven anything in my name and there's nothing they could do on a Saturday. This service is joke. These guys are awesome. I bought a new truck from out of state and needed to register it. I took it to my usual place, Wendel's, and after a half-hearted attempt to figure out the truck's weight, they told me I had to take it to a scale to have it weighed. I'd never heard of having to do this before, and strongly suspected it was due more to laziness or ignorance on the part of the employee than an actual requirement. Then they told me that the approximate value of the truck wasn't coming up in their searches, so I would have to research it myself and then present them with the evidence that my vehicle was worth the same amount that I paid for it, which they may or may not accept. The employee literally told me "when it doesn't come up in our system, it becomes your problem." Seriously? Rather than run around jumping through hoops for Wendel's, I decided to go for a second opinion and headed over to Canyon Park based on the strength of their reviews online. Lo and behold, they were extremely friendly and helpful, even jovial. Everyone working there seemed to be in a good mood. They ran into the same issue finding the weight of the truck, but rather than put it on me, they pulled out some books and looked it up in about 30 seconds. Problem number one solved. They had no problem pulling up the value of the truck in their system. Problem number two solved. I was out the door with new plates and tabs in no time. They even had free M&M cookies for people waiting in line! I won't hesitate to go out of my way to go to this place in the future. Easily the best DMV experience I've ever had. read more
