Diner food vibes in Yellowstone. We visited this place after reading Yelp as we were hungry and diners are good for curing that. Along the strip sits the diner decorated with all kinds of memorabilia. We dived right into ordering the burger special, a butterscotch shake, and chicken strips. Took a moment for food but everything was hot coming out. Food was good but price can be a little steep (location). My hubs really loved the shake as well. Service was great and restaurant was clean. We left full which was the goal.

Its doesn't look like much from the outside. Once inside, it looks like an old fashion diner with red booths and memorabilia on the walls. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The menu isnt much. Mostly burgers, sandwiches, and ice cream. There are many flavors for milk shakes, including cherry and Huckleberry. We went for an early dinner. My husband got a burger and I got the French dip with Swiss. My husband was surprised saying his burger was good. They loaded up the fries, too. The friend dip was delicious. The roll was super fresh and soft. Tater tots were crispy and plentiful. We also got a 10% coupon for a return visit during our stay. We plan to go back for shakes.

Gorgeous diner with great food. We shared a French dip with tater tots. Tots were perfectly cooked, maybe just slightly on the salty side, but otherwise great. French dip was easily the best one I've ever had. Both the sandwich and the au jus were incredibly flavorful. The only negative is that you have to leave the restaurant to use the single toilet shared by all of the businesses in that building.

Food was fantastic! We had menudo, carne asada tacos, charro beans, carne guisada and everything was very flavorful. Diana, our waitress, was great! Very attentive and had great recommendations! The restaurant is very charming with a 50s diner feel and look. Would definitely recommend this place!

This place was really good. It was super crowded. We had to wait a little bit to get a table. In our group, we had 4 adults, a 7 year old, 2 year old and a 5 month old. They didn't have a table big enough for all of us to sit at so we had to split up. Our waitress was great. Half of our group sitting at another table had a different waitress and their waitress was forgetful and never took their order until we reminded her too. She was super slow. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which I really enjoyed. It came with fries as well. The atmosphere is really fun here.

With a group of Teens from Oklahoma, they loved it. Deco is amazing, shakes and sundaes. Will come back if we visit again

I arrived around 7 PM and grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining solo. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta with a side of bread. The pasta was outstanding -- easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of braised chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and creamy parmesan-mascarpone sauce came together perfectly. Every bite was flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling heavy or dry. As someone preparing for a half marathon the next morning, it was the perfect carb-loading meal. I also ordered the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert. If you're visiting the Yellowstone area, do yourself a favor and try something with huckleberries. The ice cream, topping, and whipped cream were fantastic, and it ended up being one of my favorite desserts from the trip. One unexpected bonus was getting to chat with other travelers at the bar, including another runner who was also working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 states. It added to the friendly, welcoming feel of the place. Overall, Madison Crossing Lounge delivered excellent food, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. I don't hand out many five-star reviews, but this one earned it. If I'm back in West Yellowstone for another race or a visit to Yellowstone National Park, I'll absolutely be returning. Piecing together that this is a tourist trap town on the outskirts of YNP, I lowered my expectations to like 5/10. Believe me, this is worse than mid. We were famished driving out of Yellowstone after a long day of sightseeing, as most of this place's victims probably are. I grimly perused the menu, and ordered a burger and fries because surelllyyyyyy... they can make a 5/10 burger?! My standards were so low! The bread on the burgers was soggy and gross, the burger wasn't seared at all, and the fries were burnt. Our friend ordered steak: the steak was bright pink through and through and also not even seared... how do you mess up this badly? Do they have a grill back there?? I've cooked steak way better myself on a skillet for way cheaper. A bowl of onion rings with no dipping sauce. Salads with tomatoes sliced round- not diced. I had never seen that before in my life. Other friend got a pizza. She said it was okay, but looking at it I had my doubts. I'll admit I didn't try it because it looked like day old frozen pizza. Mind you if the total bill had been $75, then whatever we were hungry, it's a tourist trap-- No. The total for the food was $148. For 4 people. No drinks at all, just water. I'm so appalled and embarrassed because there were lots of international visitors here for Yellowstone. Probably more than usual if some stopped here during a US visit for the World Cup. They probably come here and believe this abomination is representative of American food. Shameful. I normally wouldn't bring up something like ambiance, but since this place has the audacity to charge nice restaurant prices for food so disgusting I wouldn't even feed it to a dog, the music sucks too. It was the most cliche 70s American bar playlist ever. I personally enjoy that kind of music, but here it feels like rubbing salt in a wound. Positives: Server was nice, poor guy. The French onion soup was actually nice and up to par, but French onion soup is not enough to redeem a place, especially when this place is your first stop in civilization and you're ready to chow down. Next night we skipped West Yellowstone and opted for the gas station by our Airbnb. The hours-old chicken sandwich behind glass was Michelin star compared to this.

We arrived with our family of 5 and my brother's family of 7. Since I have celiac disease and this was one of the few places I could eat, my wife stayed to order while I the rest of us went to McDonalds. When I returned with my three young kids, the owner actually scolded us for bringing back McDonald's, even though we had done that to make his life easier. He also ignored the party of six behind us who had been waiting for at least 30 minutes and instead took the order of the group behind them (4 people). After waiting nearly 40 minutes just to order (there was only one party in front of us), our food was finally handed to us in a bag with hairs stuck under the sealing sticker. For celiac friendly food, it was above average- but it wasn't worth the hostility. There are plenty of places that appreciate their customers. This isn't one of them. Update: The owner's response leaves out important context. We arrived as two families totaling 12 people. After he said he wouldn't serve a group that size, my brother's family left. Because I have celiac disease and this was one of the few places I could safely eat, my wife stayed to order while I took our three young children to McDonald's. When I returned with just my kids, the owner told me to "get that McCrap out of here," not to use his trash cans, and later called me "a dick" to my wife. He also accused our nephews of scratching his table. We checked the table before leaving and found no scratches. After I posted this review, he publicly called us "terrible parents" and "terrible people," told me to "go back to Utah" even though I'm not from Utah, and later sent me a private message calling me "full of crap" and "utard." I've included screenshots so readers can judge for themselves.
