Diner food vibes in Yellowstone. We visited this place after reading Yelp as we were hungry and diners are good for curing that. Along the strip sits the diner decorated with all kinds of memorabilia. We dived right into ordering the burger special, a butterscotch shake, and chicken strips. Took a moment for food but everything was hot coming out. Food was good but price can be a little steep (location). My hubs really loved the shake as well. Service was great and restaurant was clean. Its doesn't look like much from the outside. Once inside, it looks like an old fashion diner with red booths and memorabilia on the walls. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The menu isnt much. Mostly burgers, sandwiches, and ice cream. There are many flavors for milk shakes, including cherry and Huckleberry. We went for an early dinner. My husband got a burger and I got the French dip with Swiss. My husband was surprised saying his burger was good. They loaded up the fries, too. The friend dip was delicious. The roll was super fresh and soft. Tater tots were crispy and plentiful. We also got a 10% coupon for a return visit during our stay. We plan to go back for shakes. read more

Had dinner here our second night in W Yellowstone. Neat diner vibe. Smash burger was just "ok", not much flavor, but cooked well. Fries were good. I had the Huckleberry Dark Chocolate shake for dessert. They give you the whole metal cup that's it's made in for in house consumption. Waitress explained that you only get the to-go cup for takeout(much less for the same price). read more

Gorgeous diner with great food. We shared a French dip with tater tots. Tots were perfectly cooked, maybe just slightly on the salty side, but otherwise great. French dip was easily the best one I've ever had. Both the sandwich and the au jus were incredibly flavorful. The only negative is that you have to leave the restaurant to use the single toilet shared by all of the businesses in that building. read more

We were hungry and tired coming from Yellowstone and we saw this delightful little 50s diner! We were sat right away. I got the French dip, husband got the Gus's grilled cheese and the kids got chicken fingers. It was good! The place was clean, and the waiters were busy! But we had good service. This place was really good. It was super crowded. We had to wait a little bit to get a table. In our group, we had 4 adults, a 7 year old, 2 year old and a 5 month old. They didn't have a table big enough for all of us to sit at so we had to split up. Our waitress was great. Half of our group sitting at another table had a different waitress and their waitress was forgetful and never took their order until we reminded her too. She was super slow. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which I really enjoyed. It came with fries as well. The atmosphere is really fun here. read more

West Yellowstone does not have many lunch options, due to covid. Most places do not open until the dinner rush. So while spending the day shopping for souvenirs, we wanted a break and sit down for lunch. After trying several places that were recommended, the Canyon Street Grill was open and had seating after a 10 minute wait. The decor is really cute, a 50's style diner with memorabilia everywhere, and juke boxes playing music, you would think it would have great burgers and fries. We ordered a burger, done "smashed style", and their "Lunch box special" which is your choice of turkey, ham, or roast beef sandwich with a bag of chips, and apple, and a granola bar. We stopped in while on vacation, and we are glad that we did. The food was amazing! They have awesome traditional dinner food, but then they also had some amazing daily specials. My husband opted for the burger, son got the kids corn dog, daughter got the carne asada tacos, and I got the carne guisada. OMG it was all soooo good. Diana was so friendly. We actually got to talking with another local. We loved it so much we went back and all tried a new item and we're all so happy with our choices again. It all had the homemade taste to it (down to the tortillas!). This is a must stop if you are in the area and even if you aren't it's worth the drive!! read more

Had an evening to kill before heading over to Yellowstone in the morning. The town is nice but all the places were pricey to grab the tourists that were stuck. Honestly choose this place cuz it looked the most reasonably priced. We just ordered the totnachos and a french dip since we weren't super hungry and I was leery of how good the food could be. The totnachos were interesting. Kind of like California fries but I guess this was midwestern style! Why is everything so cheesy?! The service was a bit slow and the serve was a bit grumpy. If I had to eat in West Yellowstone I'd definitely try a different place. read more

First time visiting this 50's retro dinner. Got there early so no long wait. Had a nice booth. Service was a bit slow as we sat for some while before our server came by to take our order. I opted for the "Bo Dudley burger" and my wife had a Chicago hot dog. I also ordered a cup of their chili to give it s try. Their burgers and sandwiches are served with beer battered fries, tater tots or you can upgrade to onion rings. We both had fries. So my burger was good, the egg was a bit over done but still tasty. The fries were crisp and very tasty. My wife said her dog was very good but it either needed a bigger hotdog or a smaller bun. Fries are served in small metal baskets which I thought was nice. The chili was served cold and was not very good. It lacked seasoning and some spice. Still a very good place and we will go back. Like most things here, prices are high and in this case, portion sizes are on the small side. 1/3 lb burger and small fry range in price from $13 to $16 including tax. read more
