    Bison tacos

Wanted to get a quick bite close to Yellowstone np north entrance. We took a picture with the park sign close by and this was one of the closest places that was open. We ordered some drinks and the Viacom tacos. We were pleasantly surprised. The tacos were really great ! Beef was seasoned nicely and tasted great and they were filled with a lot of cheese and salsa. We noticed the nice smell of the freshly made waffle cones so we also got some ice cream after that. Chocolate chip and chocolate. The ice cream and the cone were also great. The folks working here were also nice and quick when we needed anything. Great little spot that's worth a stop.

If you want the best breakfast ever, you better stop here. We stayed in Gardiner for two days while in the park and we made sure to stop here both days. The food is amazing, coffee is great and the people are so friendly! The owners/managers seem to really take ownership and make sure the customers are satisfied. You can also ask enjoy the views of the mountains while eating in the outside seating area as well! They also have a great selection of shirts, souvenirs and drinks to go. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Fantastic spot right by the entrance! The food was excellent--especially the burgers, Mediterranean skewers, and ice cream. Quick service and crispy, delicious chips made it a perfect meal.

My new spot for a matcha to stop and grab before entering the park! Get the huckleberry one as it's not too sweet! Didn't have this but heard the buffalo tacos are delish from a woman who owns a catering business. Lots of cute hats, tshirts and sweatshirts too. Oh and the ice cream is good as well. Parking right out front but on a busy weekend it can be tough. Free bathroom for customers.

We were looking for a quick breakfast restaurant that opened early so we can grab a bite to eat before heading to Yellowstone National park. The men and women that worked here were very friendly, and energetic that one morning! I ordered a breakfast sausage sandwich, and my husband ordered a breakfast burrito! We both enjoyed our breakfast choices! The restaurant was clean, and doubled down as a gift/souvenir shop/coffee shop/ice cream shop! Who says you cannot do it all?!

One of the friendliest and most welcoming food stops in Montana. Hit Yellowstone Perk back to back nights for dinner. It's like Central Perk from "Friends" with a small town twist! First night Bison burger, second night Elk bratwurst. Both tasty. The wife got Bison tacos both nights and enjoyed them. Witnessed a sweet card trick that a local showed us at the table that was fun! No doubt one of the best chocolate milkshakes I've had. When in Gardiner, Montana swing in for a good meal, tasty treat, or full coffee bar to take your Yellowstone vacation to the next LEVEL!

The best cold brew I had in Yellowstone was here! There were patrons lining out the door. The nicest man was working here, I believe his name was Tony. He was greeting everyone like they were family. All the cold brew needed was a splash of milk, it was such high quality. The milkshakes looked great, so maybe we'll try that next time.

Great place to stop by and hydrate after a day at Yellowstone! Got me an iced white chocolate mocha white it's 65 degrees out. Friendly service and cute ambiance

My goodness! These people are so so friendly and enjoy this place. The atmosphere alone makes this place a great place to eat. However, the food is just as amazing as the staff. They also have great souvenirs. Highly recommend if you're nice. If you come here as a cranky snob, steer clear. These people are too nice for you.

There is a shelf right next to the cash register where you can grab whichever ones you want and bring it back to your table. We were already trying these before we had our food. The cafe itself is super cute and cozy with plants all around and different pieces of art. They even sell items from local artists including beef tallow lotion and earrings. They have a clean bathroom and an outdoor eating area. They have a vast menu for lunch where the sandwiches are names after dogs and a smaller menu for breakfast. We go there around 11 and were able to order from both so unsure if there is a time limit for either. The staff were so sweet and gave their recommendations and even though it's a cafe, they will bring out your food for you when it's ready. We did still bring our dishes back to the counter, unsure how they generally do that though. We asked for pickles and they kindly gave us some. The burritos were huge and filling but the sandwiches themselves were also good. Unsure what names were but I didn't love the one with the carrots in them. The staff recommended the breakfast sandwich with the biscuit, and although it was good, the biscuit was not the best choice. It broke so easily and made a mess. Unsure of the name of the drink but it was like a lemonade and it was delicious. Definitely would come back and try more hot sauce though

The biscuits were hearty, the gravy had good flavor, and the portion size was satisfying. Also - if you drink coffee - the espresso machine was broken. My husband wanted a biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage - they were out of biscuits. So I got him a bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage instead. I ordered sausage links for my baby, I asked if they had any kind of fruit I could buy for my baby. They said no that they only had bananas for smoothies - which is odd being a place that sells fruit smoothies... For myself I ordered a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich and a mango madness smoothie). My mother in law wanted a lotus energy drink - but they were out of lotus syrup. A few minutes later the gal that rang us up came to our table and let us know they were out of sausage for breakfast sandwiches. Asked what we wanted instead. They still has sausage links, so that's what we had on our sandwiches. When our food was ready they brought everything over except the sausage for my baby - which they clearly forgot to make cause that was a long wait till it arrived (5 or more minutes). Putting food in front of a hungry baby and none of it is for him is not a good idea lol. My husband ended up giving him his sausage and wait to eat his sandwich till they brought more over. I also gave my baby some of my smoothie - the smoothie was good. So, out of several items, and forgot part of our order.... Just seemed a bit chaotic. Food and smoothie was good and the people who work there are nice.

While small in size and selection, GSG (solely an acronym and not meant to sound like a new street…read moredrug) is the closest shop to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Since addresses are practically non-existent in Gardiner, MT (check out Google Maps if you don't believe me), just go all the way to the far west end of the main shopping strip on Park Street or simply ask one of the locals. GSG is a gift shop with a lot of key chains, bumper stickers, knick-knacks and cute children's t-shirts. Next door, like all the other souvenir shops in Gardiner, is a little cafe selling sweets and coffee. GSG's cafe seems to be the only cafe in town to actually have locals in it drinking their coffees while passing countless hours of the day away (most likely gossiping about own townies and homely, outdoorsy tourists). I recommend Yellowstone Gifts & Sweets down the street but both stores have different items for sale unlike many other tourist towns.
