Had to wait half hour for other riders that got lost in the airport. Driver took some long slow way to get to my hotel So it took over an hour. Took a taxi to get back to airport four days later. A lot better experience and faster. Driver didn't even help me get in and out of the van which was high off the ground. Shouldn't of put my tip on the bill. read more

My family of four has hired a private shuttle from Canyon Transportation to get us from SLC to Snowbird every year for the last three years. The private shuttle offers the convenience of running on our schedule rather than a set timeline and also includes a stop at a grocery and/or liquor store before heading up the canyon road to the ski resort. Admittedly the price always seemed higher than I would have expected for a 30 mile / 45 minute drive but when a heavy morning snowstorm and resulting avalanche control activities closed the canyon road for four hours while we were I route from SLC I really came to appreciate the level of service provided by Canyon Transportation. Our driver, Mark took care of us like we were his own family. Mark stuck with us and kept us comfortable for many hours more than the job originally called for if the road had been open. I realize that if we had hired Uber (for example) to drive us that they would have kept the meter running the whole time or would have given up and dropped us off somewhere short of our destination. I never felt like Mark would abandon us and one way or another he would get us where we needed to go and that's what he did even though it took at least 4 hours longer than expected. Our drive up the canyon after the road reopened also wouldn't have been possible without a four wheel drive vehicle and a capable driver. Getting to our vacation destination without worry was priceless. read more

This is the worst shuttle ride I've ever been on. I could do a better job navigating park city than this guy that does it for a living. First his list for the passengers doesn't match up for the actual number of passengers on his shuttle. Why didn't he verify his passengers instead we go out of the way and drive to a hotel that no one on the shuttle was supposed to go to because that person didn't get on the shuttle. Next I was supposed to be the next person dropped off based on their sheet and proximity. Instead he passes me up for the next 4 passengers because he can't figure out the location. This wouldn't have been a big deal except there's a reason why there's order. Currently I'm headed 7 miles outside of park city when I was in the middle of park city off park ave! Wth during the ride passengers told me that canyons and express shuttles had merged and that reviews had gone south. Well, no wonder when your 1 hour shuttle turns into a 2+ hour shuttle. I booked directly over the phone, and well ahead of time. This company made my skip trip to Park City totally worry-free. We landed at 8:40pm at SLC airport, and we were on opening the door to our condo in Park City by 9:45pm. The kid at the front desk by baggage claim was really courteous and the driver had some good jokes and terrible puns (my favorite). He also made a stop for us at the store for us even though it was late. For the return trip I adjusted our pick-up time about 12 hours in advance, and received a new reservation confirmation immediately. The lady on the phone was helpful and fast. The driver showed up right on-time. We will be using these guys again for sure. read more

Used Canyon Transportation last week going to and from Park City from the SLC airport. The scheduling was easy, the shuttles were on time and both drivers were professional and friendly. The driver from Park City to the airport was Floyd and he provided great history of the area and pointed out attractions along the way. It was a very enjoyable ride. read more

Regular visitor to Utah and Little Cottonwood Canyon. Canyon Transport didn't have my inbound reservation upon arrival even after calling to confirm the night before. They assured me my reservation was in the system. When I arrived there was no record of my reservation. Upon departure the driver was 20 mins late and didn't think he would have room for my two bags. This is a ski airport shuttle. Of course I'll have bags. The driver indicates that he shouldn't even be out as it's his day off. At these prices, Uber ski is competitive, more reliable, and you don't need to share a van with multiple parties. By the way, I'm not a big yelper, but when I tried to contact you via email or your website you don't have a way to contact you via email. read more

The one star reviews are not accurate! Booked the shuttle less than a day before because of a storm. The shuttle was on time (despite lots of traffic from the storm) and picked us up right from the mountain with all our stuff! The driver was very cautious driving in the snow and got us to the airport on time. He was also very nice and dropped us off right by our airline check in. Way cheaper than Uber! On February 3rd I missed my flight from Salt Lake City to Phoenix as a result of incompetency on the part of Canyon Transportation (CT). Here is what happened (believe it or not!) After we made two calls to CT dispatch the driver finally arrived 40 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. We had been told by CT dispatch that we were the last pickup prior to the drive from Park City to the Salt Lake City airport and we would make our flight in plenty of time. However, when the driver arrived he still had two more pickups to make and they were in the opposite direction of the airport. The driver then told us that he could not get his GPS system to work at which time we used our phones and Google Maps to give directions to the driver for the two remaining pickups. We still thought there was a chance we would make our flight but the following events occurred on our way to pickup the other passengers and drive to the airport: while driving to pickup the 2nd of the remaining two passengers the driver pulled to the side of the road to let another vehicle pass at which point he got stuck in the snow for approximately 2 - 3 minutes; while parked on the side of the road to pickup the remaining passenger a vehicle tried to get past the CT van and took off the side view mirror. Once on the freeway the driver was driving very slowly for 3 or 4 miles when he suddenly pulled over to the side of the freeway because he still had the van in four wheel drive; at no time did the driver ever get within 10 miles of the posted speed limit even though we told him we were likely to miss our flight; during the trip to the airport whenever the driver needed to change lanes he would not change lanes until we told him it was safe to do so (I guess the loss of the sideview mirror really made him nervous). Needless to say we missed our flight. Since it was the last flight of the evening we had to spend the night at a hotel in SLC and took the first flight out in the morning. Attempts to get any response from CT have been unsuccessful. I was told to send an e-mail with my concerns to the company and they would get back to me. When no one got back to me I called CT and was told a supervisor would call me back. No call back. I sent a message to the CEO of the company via LinkedIn and you will not be surprised to learn that I did not receive a response. Between the flight rebooking charge, the hotel charge and a missed day of work you can imagine how frustrating it is to not even get a response from the company! Use this company at great peril! read more

We had great service from the airport counter all the way to Snowbird. Our driver Ron was super friendly and accommodating while we stopped for groceries. We had about a 10 minute wait at the airport and had no delays getting up the mountain. Overall satisfied with our experience. read more

They were 1 hour late picking me up from Snowbird and had me miss my flight out from SLC. Highly inefficient operation. For example, the 3 pm to SLC came to pick me up at 3:52 pm, but the driver refused to take a couple who had booked a 4 pm shuttle and were waiting with me in the lobby, even though his entire bus was empty. I would expect that they missed their flight as well. These instances are not a one off, I think they had a majority of their passengers miss flights that afternoon, even though it was entirely avoidable. I had similarly been turned away by the previous shuttle, as had another family who were on my shuttle and also missed their flight. Worst of all, they refused to tell me that they were running terribly late despite me calling them repeatedly. I could have called an Uber even at 3 pm and made my flight if only they had *told* me, instead of constantly giving me ETA like "few minutes" or "10 minutes away" until it was too late for me to find an alternative. I can't imagine how their business continues to run with this level of inefficiency and lack of concern for customers. I just found them on Yelp, and of course, they have a hard earned two star rating. I'm shocked that Snowbird strongly recommends this company despite the terrible service and the fact that Uber/Lyft cost about the same and are more reliable. read more

They Had our landing time incorrect. We were being frantically paged as we got off the plane. Our fellow passengers waited an hour for us and literally gave us the cold shoulder and dirty looks for "making them wait". We straightened it out with them but it was a long ride up the canyon. Now still sitting in the airport over and hour later and haven't gotten any more direction. They have taken two groups but no one knows what is going on. this is our go to transportation for our vacations at Snowbird. We usually request a "grocery stop" which gives us the opportunity to pick up our groceries in Sandy before heading into Little Cottonwood Canyon. They are reliable, on time and very efficient. read more

We used Canyon for a roundtrip SLC to the Iron Blosam at Snowbird, and they were great - courteous, on time both ways, had the child seat as requested and offer a great service: 3 PM shuttle to grocery from any of the Snowbird places if you have booked them to/from. I've used Cantons twice to get to work at the SLC airport from my home in PC when my truck was in the shop for repairs. Nice people and clean vans, but the reliability of the pick up times make me use Uber. Both times, the driver was over 30 minutes late and there's no way to check on the status of your van other than repeatedly calling dispatch, who's only answer is "It should be on its way". read more

Would have been one star, but final experience was a positive one. Of our party of seven staying at the Lodge at Snowbird, five used Canyon Transportation to ride to/from SLC Airport and all five of us had at least one negative encounter with this company. Let us count the ways... 1) After grabbing our bags, my husband & I walked over to the Canyon desk. The woman behind the counter couldn't find our reservation. I pulled up the confirmation email (with web order #) on my phone & showed it to her. That helped little, but after about 20 minutes spent wondering if we'd miss the next shuttle, she finally found our reservation & released us to board the bus. 2) Coincidentally, we also learned that Canyon was showing they'd already transported both of our couple friends even though the wife was due to arrive later that evening & only her husband had been driven to the resort several days earlier. Once we arrived at our condo, we warned him that wife's reservation had been messed up so he called & straightened it out. But not so fast! When she got to the Canyon desk (late at night, 14+ hours after leaving east coast due to delays), they had no reservation for her. Perhaps out of mercy, they allowed her on the bus but her name wasn't on the list they had all passengers initial. 3) Next day, the solo guy in our group went to the lobby to await his 5 pm pickup. We saw him off, & went for a leisurely dunk in the hot tub. Walking back, some 45 minutes later, he was still waiting. The shuttle pulled up as we spoke with him & we later learned that he made his flight with 30 minutes to spare. We're still not sure how he was allowed to check bags. 4) When I called to confirm our return trip, the phone agent had us being picked up from the Cliff Lodge (we were at the Lodge at Snowbird). Very fortunate that we caught & corrected that. 5) Meanwhile, when our friends called to confirm the pickup for their early morning flight, they again had to deal with the wife being missing from the reservation. Once that was rectified, she requested an email reconfirming the confirmation. Canyon balked at sending it but agreed. Once the email arrived, it had the pickup scheduled for AM, not PM, necessitating yet another call. The story ended OK for us. Canyon showed up seven minutes early for our pickup & once everyone was loaded, we left exactly on time. Our drivers on both trips were pleasant & safe, no beefs with them. But the problems with our reservations were horrendous so we will never again consider traveling with Canyon. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS OPERATOR!!! They were 25 min late picking us up at the ski hill, Miss our rental return because of that. So stuff happens but no phone call, the van driver couldn't have cared a bit. He had a full load that he wanted to take to the airport first. Ok so where are the logistics people? You're late. You don't communicate. You don't plan ahead for in-climate weather. You don't plan for customers going in different places. This added an hour onto our trip to the hotel. Despite confirming multiple times over the course of multiple days that they would bring a rear-facing infant car seat when they picked me up for my trip from Solitude to the airport- they showed up without one! Thankfully, Solitude had a seat that I could borrow b/c Canyon was going to have someone drive one up from the airport in SLC then drive me and my baby back to the airport- whichwould have likely led to me missing my flight. Booked days in advance, confirmed my reservation day before, then called me 3 hours before pickup to say cannot pick up at my location unless I pay them an additional $157 for a private shuttle. Only explanation I received was "due to our new mapping". Agent was not helpful nor would company take accountability for accepting my previous reservation and payment. My family and myself have used Canyon Transportation for years, both personally and professionally, for our company conference business. I have never had an issue with pick up or drop off location. (Personal address is very convenient to major highway). This is the second time in a week this has occurred with pick up. Their drivers are fantastic and I have previously recommended them to many individuals and companies. Unfortunately, unable to continue doing business with them due to "their mapping", which went unexplained, and their lack of customer service. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY (Just use Uber SKi) for your transfers to Park City. I booked transfers for me and my 2 children through the Park City Mountain reservations staff while purchasing lift tickets from them. I made the ultimately disastrous assumption that if Vail Resorts/Park City Mountain is recommended this service that they have fully vetted them and hold them to a high standard of performance. So, normally I read reviews first, but I didn't in this case, trusting Park City. Boy, was that a mistake. It wasn't great, but wasn't horrible on arrival. Biggest issue is you have to wait 20-30 mins after getting your bags for the next van to leave. Who wants to do that when you are tired? The real disaster happened when we were leaving at the end of our trip. We were auto-texted that our pickup time was 7 am. I replied and confirmed. By 7:10, the driver hadn't arrived and I received no notification of any delay. It took 15-20 mins to reach a human being at Canyon to find out if anyone was coming. The first dispatcher guy had no idea and it took another 5 mins to reach the driver, who claimed to be in Park City and 4 mins away. I stayed on the line on hold and then a woman dispatcher got on the line. After another 10 mins, they could not reach the driver and this dispatcher agreed that I better go ahead and call an Uber. NOW GET THIS - this woman dispatcher, upon my comment that I will likely miss my flight, actually said - really, I'm not making this up - "It's ok if you miss your flight, all you have to do is go to the counter at the airport and they will rebook you." YOU HAVE GOT TO F-ING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, the good news is that we actually made our flight by a few mins arriving at the gate during boarding. Lines were long at the airport and my blood pressure and pulse rate took a day or two to come down. I contacted the company and they said "Sorry", we will refer this to our accountants to consider a refund. Your accountants! Oy! Park City was better. I called them and they said they would refund and now say they have although I'm waiting for the credits to show up. While they were great in handling the refund, I'm still very disappointed and surprised that they use this service. If they read the Yelp reviews they wouldn't. My recommendation. Use Uber Ski. If I knew they existed I would have in the first place. One way with a nice tip was $60 for the two of us. Cheaper than the transfers. Let me repeat. DO NOT USE CANYON TRANSPORTATION. The drivers are friendly and knowledgable and the vans are fine but they need a much better work management system. We left the airport 90 minutes after our plane landed. Why? They kind of take the cable guy approach to service. Our plane landed at 11 am and I reported to the Canyons counter near baggage claim. "Do you have your bags yet?" the young woman asked. No. "Come back when you have your bags." 20 minutes later I came back with the luggage. She punched up my name on her screen and told me to wait with a rather large group of other riders silently waiting for action. I waited 15 minutes, on a gorgeous day for skiing, and returned to the counter. I had already paid for lift tickets. How's that van? "It's up to a 30 minute wait after you check in," she said. Why don't you start the countdown as soon as I land? I asked. You know my flight number. (they ask when you reserve) "Because you might not get your bags right away and then our driver would have to wait." As opposed to me waiting? "I guess." The wait, after proof of baggage, was 40 minutes--not 30. And then our driver was radioed to pick up another passenger at another terminal before we escaped from the airport. Cable companies used to be like this. Unsure how much time they need, they steal yours. With a little effort and analysis, they could track arrivals, predict baggage times, and narrow the service window considerably. Until they do, Lyft was faster and cheaper. PARENTS BEWARE!! We booked a private van through Canyon Transportation to drive us from Park City to the Salt Lake City Airport. On booking I requested a carseat and booster for two of my children. Three hours before our scheduled pickup I called to confirm that the proper car seats would be provided. The van showed up without ANY carseats. I called the company to report the problem and the staff member assured me an onsite manager would be in touch. I NEVER heard from a manager and no attempt was made to correct this situation. I'm honestly appalled that this mistake could happen with a transportation company and furious that the company simply refused to acknowledge OR apologize OR attempt to correct their mistake. read more

Last night was terrible. I wait 1.5 hours! I kept approaching the counter by baggage claim and the staff kept telling me it will be soon. Turns out they over sleep and dispatch wouldn't let driver go without them. We did make our flights but we were 1/2 hour late and passengers were really upset. read more

Despite reserving a trip 3 days in advance, I was stranded at my destination with empty promises that a new driver would arrive "within 30 minutes." When I called again, 45 minutes later, I was told, "That van was full. We're sending another one, which should be there in 30 minutes." So, I guess reservations are meaningless. I'm still standing outside the grocery store 1 hour and 16 minutes later. If you are staying in Big or Little Cottonwood Canyon for vacation, do yourself a favor and rent a car. read more

Amazing service!! I accidently left my cell phone in one of their shuttles. You can imagine how lost I felt without it. Fortunately, the driver was still in our area and they found my phone pretty quickly. It was delivered the same night!! I was so relieved to have it back so soon. I had a really bad experience with this company... I never write reviews (in fact, this is my first), but my experience was so awful I thought I would share with others so people know to avoid this company. I booked a pick-up at 9PM in Park City for an 11:30 flight out of Salt Lake City (I had requested an 8:30 pick up but was told 9 would be okay). To make a long story short, the car didn't arrive until about 10:10PM. I had provided the exact address and called to confirm the pick-up the day of the trip. I was extremely patient on the phone up until 9:45... at which point I started asking questions. The feedback I got was them telling me the delay was my fault... which was in no way true. The customer doesn't always need to be right, but in the case I was right. Their finger pointing was infuriating to say the least. At 10PM I stopped fighting with Canyon because it became evident I might miss my flight home. So I called a local taxi at 10:02PM and was on my way within 8 minutes. I had to pay a lot more money to get to the airport, but this was better than having to put myself up in a hotel and miss a day of work because Canyon was 70 minutes late to pick me up. The bottom line is this: Canyon Transportation is the single worst experience I've ever, ever, had with any transportation company (car, boat or plane), ever. You would be doing yourself a favor to avoid them at all costs. Yes, they are cheap... but in this case, you get what you pay for. read more

They cannot figure out how to meet you on time and they're kind of snippy about how of course you have to wait at least 20 minutes and it's really 40 even in the middle of the night when the airport is quiet.
