I had to initiate a formal hearing brought against Harbor Homes with MA State Board of Licensing. The licensing board found unsatisfactory business practices and assessed fines against them. Just a few problems to mention; crooked moldings, plumbing and electrical issues, multiple Floods, tiling issues, splitting of floors and woodwork. Horrible horrible craftsmanship. Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!

I know excellent service when I experience it. This review is for the exceptional service I received when using Atlantic Marble & Granite, in Falmouth. We were doing a very needed remolding of our kitchen after over 35 years of use. During the remodel, I contacted three countertop companies and visited each one of them. From the three quotes, I received the best price from Atlantic. Not only did I get follow up with them on their quote, one of the companies never followed up with us at all. That made my decision easier. We met with a very lovely person at Atlantic, Bella, short for Izabella, and she was amazing from the start. She was knowledgeable and very patient as she helped us pick out the perfect color. We gave her all of the measurements and she took it from there. Within just a short time, they were out doing a template and a week later, the counter was ready to be installed. Unfortunately, because of issues with our cabinet makers, they had to hold it for 3 weeks. No problem they said. When the time came, they came out installing our new quartz counter. They were very courteous and professional. I was amazed the counter fit like a glove, especially where it had a jog in it and they were able manufacture it with no seam. We were very happy and the new counter looks amazing. If you ever need any type of marble, granite, quartz work, I would strongly advise you to check them out. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. She was careful not to overwhelm me with too many choices and even suggested a slab which was in stock which saved us some time & money. I really appreciated the template process they used. I was able to see what the counter flow would look like before they cut the slab. Most importantly, they removed the old countertop on installation day! Crew did an excellent job with the installation. It looks even better than we had hoped. We're very pleased!

He was grr-eat; professional (yet no dust on his heels), informative, and patient with my inexperience dealing w/oriental rugs. The material/rug came out beautifully; however, it was Milan that will bring me back to Paramount Rug, in Hyannis, for our kitchen/hall floor replacement needs (after the cabinets are installed). The location is not ideal, but once you're inside it's not even a thought. Looking forward to revisiting in the spring.

I had 2 bedrooms painted, all the ceilings and had a wall coat holder of some sort removed and drywall fixed and ready for me to paint. I also had a door replaced too. Some of the workers were very respectful of my home and ensured that the dust from fixing the drywall was vacuumed during the process, floors and furniture protected and others didn't. I think if perhaps the owner was not pre-occupied it would have been a more successful job.

We got 3 other quotes, they were all pretty close but what set Top Notch and Brian apart were his expertise, enthusiasm, and you could really feel how much he cares about his work and his customers from the first phone call. He's very responsive and was quick to come give us a detailed estimate. He can also take a credit card which was a huge plus for us to be able to use a no interest card we have. He had some great ideas and suggestions and actually has a great carpenter on staff that replaced some of our cedar shingles that were on their way out. They also soft washed the entire house, gutters, roof everything for us! Brian helped us pick out the perfect blue for our front door that gave it a great pop of color. He also offered to repaint a big metal compass decoration that was starting to rust a little bit which was a nice treat and just goes to the level of care he has for every single job. His crew showed up by 8:30 pretty much every morning and are all really great guys. They all cleaned up after themselves and were conscientious and friendly. Their work is unbelievable, how neat and clean they kept everything. They worked very quickly but were also thorough. We just replaced all our windows with new black windows and we were a little nervous about them getting messy, but those guys are so neat and precise they all look perfect! We had a few little spots on a punch list that we noticed and they were immediately addressed with no issue or grumbling. All of his employees are incredibly skilled at their trade, but also easy to talk to and humble nice guys. We had a little misunderstanding in the beginning with the pressure washing, but Brian absolutely went above and beyond to make sure we were thrilled. Brian is the kind of business owner that will be around for a long time with a great reputation because he does the right thing, takes pride in his work, and is on site almost every day making sure things come out perfect. We are so happy we hired Top Notch Painting and would recommend him and his team for all your painting needs!

As for the add-ons - my husband SPECIFICALLY said we did not want gutters as ours were not that old - Alex added in new gutters, downspouts, leaf guards - why do that when you have been told we did not want them. It's not that difficult when a customer says 'I just want James Hardie Siding in Deep Ocean Blue and Artic White Trim to replace what we have now - measure it up and quote' - where in that conversation does it say 'but please go away and add in anything else you might like to see on our home? I appreciate as a company you have a system of how you do things with visits etc, however, it is not one size fits all - you still have to listen to the customer, and in this instance, your potential customer was ignored. We gave the exact same brief to 4 separate siding companies, yours was the only one that came back with a proposal that listed several things we specifically said we didn't want, or that were added in unnecessarily.
