I'm just sitting on a fence You can say I got no sense Trying to make up my mind (Sittin' On A Fence - The Rolling Stones) If you live up this way, do you remember March 14th? On that day, up to two feet of snow fell in CT, as Winter went kicking and screaming into Spring. It was a heavy snow that caused snowplow carnage to dozens of mailboxes and posts all over my neighborhood. We've lived at our address for thirty years, and never had snowplow damage to our mailbox until March 14, when the snow spray and air born snow boulders applied a Mike Tyson-like knockout punch to our mailbox and post. Which finally leads me to write about Cape Cod Fence. We had quite a bit of mailbox and post options to choose from. Check out some of their selection. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cape-cod-fence-co-of-conn-canton?select=IYAjUS3kmILWXOl8rBpltg https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cape-cod-fence-co-of-conn-canton?select=LK8TFajQUlOZVnWbI27U2w We went with a traditional 4X4 wood post and base for the mailbox to sit on. Removal, replacement and installation ran around $300. I'll post a pic as soon as it gets installed, After our purchase, we took a few minutes to look around, and there sure is a lot of cool stuff to look at all over the place. With a name like Cape Cod Fence, you'd expect them to have a lot of fence options, and as the Stones said, you'll sure have trouble making up your mind here. You'll have to make up your mind among 13 styles of wood, 8 styles of vinyl, 2 styles of aluminum, and 2 choices of chain link fences, with lots of add-ons and customizing options available. There's a lot more than mailboxes and fences here. As you stroll around the outdoor samples, or through the inside showroom, you'll see a ton of really nice products- 7 amazing play-sets, 10 styles of sheds, light poles, flag poles, gates, swing sets, pergolas, outdoor chairs and tables (in wood or poly-wood). Need a picnic table? They have ten styles. We were very happy with the selection and service.

3+ft crack running from tip of post on downward! I'm leaving the plaque that says 'Cape Cod Fence' on the post! They should be embarrassed!

This husband and wife team are not contractors. They are not licensed. They are not insured. Look…read moreit up with the state. I learned the hard way to do that. The work they do is extremely poor and when they realize they screwed it up, they try to disappear. They will take your deposit for work to be done and disappear for weeks without answering any messages from you. I had inspections of their faulty work done and it was so poor I had to have it torn out and redone to a cost of more than $15,000!! ( replacement basement doors and a paver patio among other things) They leave extraordinary messes and junk behind. I took them to court over the terrible unlicensed work they did. ( trash left all over my yard, massive concrete trip hazard left behind, incomplete un-level paver patio, improperly installed basement doors). I won the case and they haven't paid a dime of it. When they do show up, they show up with their kids and their dog. They work for a couple hours, disappear for 3, and then might work a couple more. They are unprofessional and unreliable. They don't respond to calls or messages; intentionally avoiding the client left with incomplete work. They don't even deposit checks in a business account. They go to your bank to cash them. Watch out for these two. They are frauds. I notice on this page they have some photos of work they did at my home. That is my shed they assembled. I had to help them correct 3 mistakes they made in the assembly. They tried to tell me they were design flaws so I picked up the directions and told them what they did wrong. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt after that. The pavers they show were started were never level and they never finished it. They spread the polymeric sand in them and locked them in without leveling them and then tried to disappear. There were bumps and waves all over. After inspection I was advised that nothing will sit level on it, it was full of dangerous trip hazards and after one season bricks would start lifting all over due to water pooling all over it. That photo of the basement doors, notice how low they are set and they are set on wood. The insides of the doors had gaps everywhere that they filled with spray foam. After inspection I was advised that is all wrong and welcoming floods in my basement. A reputable contractor should know these need to be set on concrete and raised up above any water and they need to be sealed with no gaps. As I said earlier, I had to have the patio torn up and redone and the basement doors had to be pulled out and redone. This cost me more than $15,000 but it was a good lesson. Never ever go with the cheapest offer AND check for a license and insurance. By the way, they said they needed my help to pay for a digging machine for the patio. They needed me to give them a check up front to pay for it and they would deduct that from my balance. I gave them the check, they went to my bank and cashed it, disappeared for 3-4 hours and came back with no machine!!! It was then that I should have fired them and kicked them off my property. Hard lessons learned.

After doing a load of laundry, I attached what was seen coming out of the vent. My fiancé then called the company, they said they would come the next week to fix the problem, and never showed up. Nobody called or emailed us saying when they were coming. It is now the weekend and they did not show. I would not recommend their services.

Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.
