Everything is great, food service and atmosphere we have been coming here since I daughter was 3 and she is now 32!

The food was great. It was brunch so we had many selections of pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and omelet station, Mickey shaped pancakes and waffles, regular pancakes with chocolate chips or blueberries, lots of choices of fruits, eggs Benedict on top of a hash patty, and lunch options like soups, cold cuts for croissant sandwiches, asparagus and other vegetables, oatmeal, fajitas, and so many more things that we didn't try. Everyone was happy with what they tasted. Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy all come around to your table and the waitstaff make sure you don't miss anyone before you leave. We were in the last seating at 11:00ish, and the characters were very rushed. I suggest booking well before the 12:30 closing of the brunch service. The place is decorated like Minnie's cape cod vacation and the characters are dressed in vacation outfits. The seating is spacious and we didn't feel crowded. Overall, because we felt rushed with the characters, I would recommend The Crystal Palace over Cape May Cafe if you are making a choice, but both are 5 stars. read more

We made reservations for Cape May, arrived a little early, checked in and within a few minutes of our reservation time were seated. As usual the restaurant, being Disney, was ornate and well themed. Our waitress, Daisy, was great as well. What a spread they offered! I stayed away from the pasta and rice dishes, not wanting those types of items to bloat my stomach. However, the better half tried a couple. I sampled a few different shrimp offerings, mussels, bay scallops, baked salmon and sliced beef (top sirloin I believe it was listed as). Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was delicious! Being a creature of habit I returned for many of the same things, but added the slow cooked pork ribs to the plate. They were some of the best, tender, restaurant pork ribs I have ever had. The ONLY thing I did not like was their New England Clam Chowder. I like some me good clam chowder, but I took a second bite and pushed the bowl aside. Not only was there minimal pieces of clams in the soup (a "freshly" brought out fill up), but the taste was way off. Not sure if it was the lack of cream, salt, or whatever. Like I said beforehand EVERYTHING else was delicious (and my wife is a phenomenal cook). I usually don't eat desserts, but the offerings were too enticing. Well, this is located inside beach club resort, we went there during dinner time (morning time they do have character). The atmosphere it's very beachy! Cool decoration and they do accept walk in. Beverages are included (non alcoholic). I will take one star off because salmon had fish bones (what's dangerous for the kids) and some shrimp weren't clean, bedside that all phenomenal (beside the deserts that could have better options) It's like a sea food place, but they have amazing ribs, pasta, roasted meat, so even if you don't like seafood they still have plenty of options! I'm not vegetarian, but they vegetarian paella was better than the seafood one, so rich, so creamy! read more

Cape May offers family style seafood boils and a larger than life buffet. Definitely worth it if you like seafood. There is way more surf than turf here. I've enjoyed well made drinks at the bar and a handful of dinners here. It's inside the Beach Club resort. Service is always amazing. Allergy guides and gluten-free dinner rolls are available upon request. My favorite bites: New England clam chowder, peel & eat shrimp, mussels, salmon, and the house salad. Cast members constantly restock everything so you won't miss out on anything. read more

We stayed at Beach Resort and saved our character breakfast until our last day. Excellent interactions with Donald, Minnie, and Goofy. The breakfast buffet was delicious with amazing options--from made to order omelets to crepes and bread pudding to Mickey waffles and perfectly cooked bacon. Even though it is a buffet, the service attendants were top notch, bringing out hot coffee, asking characters to return when someone was in rest room, making sure our GF adult had her GF items. Goofy was the most fun. The cafe is large and was always doing a big business when opened for other meals. Nice decorative touches enhanced the Cape May NJ ambiance, including the large and colorful umbrellas outside the cafe. Another splurge but that seems to be the Disney way. We had such a fun time at the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe! The whole restaurant has the cutest beachy vibe, and the character outfits totally matched--it made everything feel extra fun and unique. Seeing everyone dressed in their seaside best just added to the experience! Now let's talk about the food... SO good. The buffet had such a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious. The omelet bar was a standout (fresh and made exactly how you want it!), and the cereal bar was such a fun little touch--perfect for kids and adults who want to feel like a kid again. Honestly, every single thing we had was flavorful and well done. I do have to be honest--our waitress was not the best. She came across pretty snooty and spoke to us like we didn't understand the meal plan... which was frustrating since we do this every year and definitely know the routine. It put a small damper on the experience. BUT... aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The food, the atmosphere, the characters--it all made for such a memorable breakfast. I feel as though Cape May is one of the best bangs for your buck on property at WDW. It's a buffet that has a lot of offerings, especially seafood. If you're a passholder, it's even better because you can use your passholder discount. I've visited Cape May twice now and I've added it to my list to make sure I come back. The server was extremely nice and the food was delicious from the salad to the dessert. If you enjoy seafood, I highly recommend checking out Cape May on your next trip to WDW. read more

For over $60 per adult and $35 per child, this was probably one of our most expensive meals. Maybe it's because I have three younger kids and two of them eat like birds, or maybe it's because the quality felt similar to Hometown Buffet, but I didn't think it was worth the money. I did treat it as an opportunity to get three platefuls of green beans, as fresh vegetables are slim pickings at the parks, and my husband tried to fill up on the roast beef and clams to get his money's worth, but I'm pretty sure Cape May still got us in the end. If you're coming with hungry adults with large appetites, you might enjoy the variety and be able to make it worth your while; otherwise, I'd pass. read more

My wife and cousins and I came here after day at Epcot, and splurged, getting the all you can eat seafood buffet. It was so good! My favorites were the steamed shrimp, the clams, and the fried scallops. So if you're gonna go, I'd start with those! The strip loin was also very good, IF you ask for a rare piece in the middle. The overcooked pieces on the end are not very good. They have a signature bonbon for dessert which is so light and creamy, and a gluten-free chocolate brownie. That's very good as well. There's something for everybody here, especially the seafood lovers, so you gotta try it at least once. read more

This is THE best character breakfast of all the non princesses. The characters come around quick, very interactive, and in such amazing outfits! The server and manager kept making sure we saw everyone. It was such an amazing change of place from the others we have been to. The food is your typical Disney buffet. They do have a cute "station" for the kids that they could reach. It had chocolate chip pancakes and tater tots. Damn adults had blueberry pancakes! Not fair . They had an omelet station and a ham carver. That was their extras. I'm glad I was able to make the reservation! Go enjoy Minnie and friends!! read more

Cape May Café offers a very nice variety for a character breakfast, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The characters were definitely the highlight they were so sweet, took selfies with us, and made sure to come around multiple times. Unfortunately, the service was a major disappointment. Our server was not attentive at all, and it took 17 minutes for anyone to approach our table. We were also celebrating a birthday, and all they brought out was a cupcake with no singing or effort to make it feel special especially surprising for a kids' birthday at Disney. I'm sorry but we thought the food was just awful and at best taste like food you would get on a cheap cruise ship and/or your local Hometown Buffet. There was so much salt on the food that I thought I was sucking on a saltshaker. The vegetables were limp; the scallops and clam strips couldn't have been any smaller or saltier and don't even get me started on the clam chowder. Honestly, for over $60 per person they need to step up their game if they think we would go back there. Maybe breakfast is a better deal than dinner, but there has got to be better restaurants in Disney World!!! read more

For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars means I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. This was my third visit to Cape May Cafe and it has delivered every single time. I've gone with the buffet on each visit because the selection is plentiful and the quality is consistently excellent. There are solid seafood, meat, and poultry options, and while many Disney dining spots share similar menus, this one offers enough variety to feel different and memorable. Some standouts for me were the beef carvings, which are delicious, and the corn on the cob, honestly some of the best I've ever had. The paella was also excellent. Dessert is a highlight here. The chocolate bon bons were exquisite, and the chocolate chip cookies, which you might assume are just standard cookies, were outstanding. The brownies were just as impressive. Even though it's a buffet, the experience still depends heavily on the staff for beverages and clearing plates and glasses. The team here is always attentive, efficient, and genuinely on top of things, which elevates the whole experience. Disney dining is usually very good, but this place feels a notch above. I have a few favorite spots on property that stand out as true gems, and Cape May Cafe is definitely one of them. read more

Delicious and plentiful!! 7 of us celebrated my birthday by having dinner here on the 28th. What a wonderful and comfortable place to enjoy a Birthday at. The fresh seafood boils and carving of beef amount other items makes this buffet outstanding! They have boiled clams, mussels, shrimp, corn and potatoes, just like a seafood boil. Plus they have a bunch of fried seafood which was super yummy! The service is wonderful! Never an empty glass or a dirty plate in front of you! We visited Cape May Café for the character breakfast after my partner ran the Half-Marathon. We arrived on time for our reservation but weren't seated until about 15-20 minutes later. Since our reservation was already toward the end of the breakfast service, we ended up eating long past their scheduled closing time. The food was quite good overall. The buffet offered the usual breakfast favorites along with a few unique extras that I really enjoyed. I never even made it to the omelet bar, but everything I tried was fresh and tasty. At first, only Donald Duck stopped by our table, and I was beginning to worry we wouldn't see the others before the characters left for the day. Fortunately, the character lead came over to check on us and made sure Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy--all dressed in their adorable summer outfits--visited before we finished. A quick tip: make friends with nearby tables, since the characters don't have handlers with them to take group photos. Because of our late seating, the cast members began packing up while we were still eating. The omelet bar and a couple sections of the buffet closed before we were done. If you have a later reservation, I recommend visiting the omelet station first. Luckily, the regular buffet offered plenty of egg dishes, so I didn't feel like I missed out. One of my favorite Disney restaurants. I came here many times with my dad and my mom and each time it never disappoints. I don't eat seafood much , but I did enjoy some of the fish on the menu and of course the shrimp. But this restaurant has more than seafood. Delicious meat and chicken options as well as breads pastas and veggies. This menu is great and the desserts amazing. Amazing staff and beautiful restaurant. Cape May Cafe is a great choice for dinner at The Beach Club. It is a buffet with a huge selection of items. I'm not big on shellfish and I still felt like there was a good amount of options. I know some of the members of my party had a tough time getting enough salmon, I guess that's the only complaint. My absolute favorite part of the meal is the desserts! I could eat those chocolate oreo bon bons every day!! Our server Michelle was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Since it is not character dining at dinner, I felt like the crowd was more adult oriented so it wasn't very loud or overly crowded in the restaurant/buffet. read more

The best Seafood buffet I've eaten at outside New England (no lobster!). Focus on the good stuff and you will be very satisfied. Never had deep fried Salmon, which was excellent. The baked Salmon was also excellent. Shrimp three different, but excellent, ways. We skipped the Crab Legs for the extra charge and left stuffed. Very little room for the deserts. They had plenty of non-seafood items for those in your party who do not eat seafood. We will go back next visit. read more

This was such a fun breakfast. It was my daughter's 4th birthday we decided to do a character breakfast. We like this one because you don't have to have a park ticket so you can go anytime. You do have to make reservations in advanced and they do fill up quickly but it is worth it. The breakfast is very good. It is buffet style and for it to be buffet they do a great job. They have a fresh omelette station as well as a caving station with ham. The character interaction. Was also great! We saw the characters and they came to our table at least 3/4 times while we were eating. It is pricey but all character dining is. I think this one has the best food. read more

The restaurant has a very comfy beach feel to it and I love that. It's located in Disneys beach resort. I love the food they offer a large variety of options. This is another Disney restaurant where reservations are a must. We got seated right away after checking in for breakfast to find most tables already full by their kind hostess. The theme is New England inspired and being from Massachusetts, I'd say the colors and decorative umbrellas are representative. Breakfast buffet includes the basics including pancakes, french toast, sausage, and bacon. In terms of quality, some were certainly better than others. The mexican scrambled eggs were over seasoned and dense. Bacon strips were the incredibly thin slices that don't provide any chew but plenty of flavor. Overall, I found the food quality and service to be a little dull compared to the other vendors especially for the cost to eat there. Of course, it is cute to interact and take pictures with the characters which, I imagine, most of the cost is going towards. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come again when there are so many other options out there. read more

I booked here in advance to have breakfast on our off day of the parks and was so happy I did! My daughters were able to see Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy without having to wait in line since they come to each table! They took their time and signed our autograph book! Our server was great and made sure we saw each character before we left! The food was delicious and fresh! Since it was a buffet, we were able to try many different things! Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast is such a gem. This was our second time going and I can't say enough good things. Food is the usual Disney breakfast buffet fare- sausage, bacon, poached eggs, Mickey waffles, etc. The decor is coastal and quaint, and is super cute. The character interactions here are the best we've experienced. All of the characters (Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Donald) came around at least 3 times, much to my toddler's delight. They spend a decent amount of time interacting, and it feels special and not at all rushed. The kids all get a kick out of joining the characters in the dance party. If seeing Mickey is a priority, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for quality interactions with the other characters, Cape May Cafe is perfect! read more

It's alright. We came here because we had just flown in and were tired and hungry and it was open. It's a buffet, not my favorite way to eat because the food is always semi warm and who knows how long it's been sitting outside. Can't say anything stood out to me where I had to have more. Dessert bar was looking nice when we arrived, but almost empty when I got to it, then as we were leaving it was restocked again. Hubby got a better selection than me. See picture. Would I eat here again. Probably not because I don't care for buffets. This place would be good for children because we did see Disney characters in dining room at one point (Donald and Daisy Duck)walking by and this was at lunch time, thought that was great for the kiddos! My family and I really enjoyed Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast with Minnie Mouse and some of her friends at Cape May Cafe located in Disney's Beach Club Resort. The character dining is for breakfast only but they do serve dinner (just without the characters). There is plenty of seating but reservations are still highly recommended. The beach/coastal themed decor was really cute and matched the vibe perfectly. Everyone was very friendly but my only complaint is a few times our waitress kept taking our plates of food while we were still eating off the plates. Before heading to the buffet they give you a breakfast pastry which was absolutely delicious and a great sweet breakfast treat to go with your food. They had a great selection of classic and unique breakfast items at the buffet. They even have vegetarian/ vegan options. My favorites were the crepes, eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, tofu and vegetables and the build your own taco. The meet and greets with the characters was phenomenal and one of the top meet and greets at Disney that we have had. Each character was so joyful and vibrant and brought smiles to all our faces. The best part was they came around a second time and the energy and vibes were just as amazing as the first go around. We made a breakfast reservation at Cape May Café during our recent Disney trip and I'm so glad we did! This beachy, New England-style buffet is tucked inside the Beach Club Resort--easy to get to if you're staying nearby or coming from EPCOT. The Food: Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highlights included the salted caramel Mickey waffles (yes, that's a thing), scrambled eggs, bacon, and the cold seafood station, which had smoked salmon, shrimp, and a few surprises. They also had a build-your-own oatmeal and yogurt bar with toppings galore. Coffee was decent, and our server kept it coming without us having to ask. Character Dining: There are no characters at breakfast anymore, which might be a pro or con depending on what you're looking for. Personally, I was fine skipping the character chaos and just focusing on the food. Atmosphere: Bright, beachy, and relaxed--Cape May Café is definitely more low-key than other Disney buffets like Chef Mickey's. It's great for families or adults looking for a quieter option. The nautical decor and pastel colors feel charming without being over the top. Service: Very friendly and attentive. Our server checked on us multiple times, cleared plates quickly, and was great with our allergies (they brought the chef over to walk us through safe options). Price: Not cheap (around $45 per adult), but you're on Disney property, so it's to be expected. At least it felt worth the price for the quality and variety. Tip: If you're going during a busier season, try for an earlier reservation--less crowded and food is freshest right at opening. I love coming up to Disney property as a local to get a little vacation vibe and delicious food. They handle my allergies with expert-level attention. The staff is very Disneyfied. Even their chefs get in on the action(they brought me a whole platter of Oreo bon bons because they heard I love them so much lol). I love the selection of food options and I'm obsessed with their Ambrosia salad lol read more

We loved the character meal here. I read that it was underrated and I agree. It's a bit cheaper than the other character meals. And Minnie spent a lot of extra time with my daughter. I have photos of them hugging and she rubbed her nose against hers. I asked my daughter after Cinderella's Royal table and this meal who was her favorite. She said , " Minnie!" The music could have been louder when they did the swim dance party. The food was good enough, the rolls that they bring you as delicious. And I loved the Minnie and Mickey waffles. Food and experience wasn't quite as good as Topolinos, but way easier to get a reservation and the characters spent more time at our table. 10/10 I recommend it. read more

Pretty good!! We came here for dinner with a party of 7 and had a lovely time. Our server Josh was amazing! Attentive, informative, caring, and took great care of us. Truly great service!! We also had a cast member discount when we went so it made this buffet particularly affordable. I liked how this buffet was truly not that busy. There wasn't a giant buffet full of options, but I like that there were less dishes focused more on quality. The two salads I had were really yummy (Caesar and Southwestern)! The kids Mac and cheese was quite tasty. Clam chowder was good! Ribs were great. A few of the desserts were delicious (a few were not great). I also really liked the fried shrimp! And my group was in LOVE with the croutons haha really yummy croutons! I was so happy to see fresh watermelon too. Overall, a great experience especially for the price we got to dine at. This is very family specific so I'm going to write who will have a five star experience versus who should skip. We came here for breakfast. It's expensive, $57 per adult and $30 for kids. So the first question is will your family eat that much? Usually at buffets this expensive there's something expensive that warrants the price. For this place, it's not the food, but you're paying to meet the characters. The carving station was ham and I don't eat pork, so I couldn't eat that. A majority of the meat was pork (sausage, bacon, etc.) so I was relegated to my protein being eggs, which isn't an expensive option. I like that they have an omelet station, but again, omelets aren't that expensive. My husband isn't a huge breakfast person, so he ate pretty much a couple pieces of bacon and waffles (not worth the price) and then my sons ate a couple mickey waffles. The food is pretty good. I actually really liked their tofu and vegetable scramble. But other than the pork and eggs, everything else was mainly carbs and I'm not a huge carbs fan. The offerings reminded me of you standard continental breakfast at a Residence Inn (or hotel like that). But lets say your family actually eats a moderate to large amount at breakfast, then what makes this worth it are the pictures with characters. They aren't wearing your standard attire, but a beachy theme that is really cute. You'll see Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy and they come around quite often. We were here for about an hour and we saw Goofy twice. I may come back one day when my kids are older, but for now we are one and done. read more

We frequent here many times. We have enjoyed the dinner seafood buffet in the past. Last week disappointed. We were seated at 510pm. Waitress got our drinks and off we went to the buffet. Peel and eat shrimp was a huge disappointment as this is my fav on the whole buffet. They were slimy and way over seasoned. I complained to have FRESH shrimp put out. The chef did replace the OLD shrimp. But these were no better. So it was basically just eat salad. The salmon was dry and over seasoned also. I do not eat meat so I cannot review the meat choices.
