Well, this is located inside beach club resort, we went there during dinner time (morning time they do have character). The atmosphere it's very beachy! Cool decoration and they do accept walk in. Beverages are included (non alcoholic). I will take one star off because salmon had fish bones (what's dangerous for the kids) and some shrimp weren't clean, bedside that all phenomenal (beside the deserts that could have better options) It's like a sea food place, but they have amazing ribs, pasta, roasted meat, so even if you don't like seafood they still have plenty of options! I'm not vegetarian, but they vegetarian paella was better than the seafood one, so rich, so creamy!

We stayed at Beach Resort and saved our character breakfast until our last day. Excellent interactions with Donald, Minnie, and Goofy. The breakfast buffet was delicious with amazing options--from made to order omelets to crepes and bread pudding to Mickey waffles and perfectly cooked bacon. Even though it is a buffet, the service attendants were top notch, bringing out hot coffee, asking characters to return when someone was in rest room, making sure our GF adult had her GF items. Goofy was the most fun. The cafe is large and was always doing a big business when opened for other meals. Nice decorative touches enhanced the Cape May NJ ambiance, including the large and colorful umbrellas outside the cafe. Another splurge but that seems to be the Disney way. We had reservations.

We had such a fun time at the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe! The whole restaurant has the cutest beachy vibe, and the character outfits totally matched--it made everything feel extra fun and unique. Seeing everyone dressed in their seaside best just added to the experience! Now let's talk about the food... SO good. The buffet had such a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious. The omelet bar was a standout (fresh and made exactly how you want it!), and the cereal bar was such a fun little touch--perfect for kids and adults who want to feel like a kid again. Honestly, every single thing we had was flavorful and well done. I do have to be honest--our waitress was not the best. She came across pretty snooty and spoke to us like we didn't understand the meal plan... which was frustrating since we do this every year and definitely know the routine. It put a small damper on the experience. BUT... aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The food, the atmosphere, the characters--it all made for such a memorable breakfast. We'll definitely be back (and hopefully with a different server next time!).

I feel as though Cape May is one of the best bangs for your buck on property at WDW. It's a buffet that has a lot of offerings, especially seafood. If you're a passholder, it's even better because you can use your passholder discount. I've visited Cape May twice now and I've added it to my list to make sure I come back. The server was extremely nice and the food was delicious from the salad to the dessert. If you enjoy seafood, I highly recommend checking out Cape May on your next trip to WDW.

My wife and cousins and I came here after day at Epcot, and splurged, getting the all you can eat seafood buffet. It was so good! My favorites were the steamed shrimp, the clams, and the fried scallops. So if you're gonna go, I'd start with those! The strip loin was also very good, IF you ask for a rare piece in the middle. The overcooked pieces on the end are not very good. They have a signature bonbon for dessert which is so light and creamy, and a gluten-free chocolate brownie. That's very good as well. There's something for everybody here, especially the seafood lovers, so you gotta try it at least once.

This is THE best character breakfast of all the non princesses. The characters come around quick, very interactive, and in such amazing outfits! The server and manager kept making sure we saw everyone. It was such an amazing change of place from the others we have been to. The food is your typical Disney buffet. They do have a cute "station" for the kids that they could reach. It had chocolate chip pancakes and tater tots. Damn adults had blueberry pancakes! Not fair . They had an omelet station and a ham carver. That was their extras. I'm glad I was able to make the reservation! Go enjoy Minnie and friends!!

Cape May Café offers a very nice variety for a character breakfast, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The characters were definitely the highlight they were so sweet, took selfies with us, and made sure to come around multiple times. Unfortunately, the service was a major disappointment. Our server was not attentive at all, and it took 17 minutes for anyone to approach our table. We were also celebrating a birthday, and all they brought out was a cupcake with no singing or effort to make it feel special especially surprising for a kids' birthday at Disney. Great ambiance and wonderful characters, but the service did not match the experience you'd expect at a Disney resort restaurant.

    Alan N.

The food is very mid here. It's easy and at the resort. But the food is very average. The best items are the steak and clams. The salad was drowned in dressing.

    Jonathan R.

Overall, our experience was disappointing. We usually enjoy dining at the Disney resorts, but in this case, the price per adult did not feel justified by the quality of the food. Most dishes lacked flavor and were fairly mediocre. In addition, the serving bowls were often too small for the number of guests, which resulted in frequent waits for refills. While the atmosphere was enjoyable, the food did not meet the expectations we typically have for Disney dining.

One of my favorite Disney restaurants. I came here many times with my dad and my mom and each time it never disappoints. I don't eat seafood much , but I did enjoy some of the fish on the menu and of course the shrimp. But this restaurant has more than seafood. Delicious meat and chicken options as well as breads pastas and veggies. This menu is great and the desserts amazing. Amazing staff and beautiful restaurant. I look forward to visiting again.

Cape May Cafe is a great choice for dinner at The Beach Club. It is a buffet with a huge selection of items. I'm not big on shellfish and I still felt like there was a good amount of options. I know some of the members of my party had a tough time getting enough salmon, I guess that's the only complaint. My absolute favorite part of the meal is the desserts! I could eat those chocolate oreo bon bons every day!! Our server Michelle was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Since it is not character dining at dinner, I felt like the crowd was more adult oriented so it wasn't very loud or overly crowded in the restaurant/buffet.

Ask the Community - Cape May Cafe

Are there any special meals for a one year old Or is it just the buffet price for 3-9 years old?

You won't have to pay for the 1 yo. They can eat off the buffet. There are plenty of kid friendly options on the buffet.

When I made the reservation online it says to be sure to have a valid park reservation? I thought this was in the resort. Can anyone confirm if park entry is required or not? Tried calling the WDW hotline but the wait is long.

Yes. This is at the resort. Just pull up tell the gate guard you have a reservation at cape May cafe and he will direct you

When will you begin taking reservations for character breakfast?

You just book breakfast in the morning for the character breakfast. Like other Disney reservation limits, you can book up to 60 days in advance if you have your visit planned out.

Are there any options for non seafood eaters?

The had chicken, steak and pasta options along with salad and veggies.

Driving to Beach Club from close by non Disney resort. How long does it normally take to get from Buena Vista Dr. to the beach club resort during 8am breakfast time? GPS looks like no traffic should only take a few minutes but don't want to be late

About 10-15 minutes. 20 if there is light traffic.

Is kids meals the same price as an adult?

Hi, kids' meals are less expensive than adult meals at Cape May. Of course, Disney defines "adults" as 10 and older for their pricing. You can always call 407-WDW-DINE for any dining questions and/or reservations.

    How much is breakfast?

I think it was about $30

    What characters are at breakfast?

    Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy!

Do they have a decent vegan dinner option?

I don't believe so, it's all you can eat buffet style Seafood. They do have a salad bar, but dressings are already mixed in. You can always call Disney reservations to find out more.

Are the characters there for all meals, or just breakfast?

I have never seen characters there for dinner. I believe it's just breakfast.

Do they have crab legs and clams everyday? We will be going on Thursday.

    Yes

Is where parking available? What is the cost, if any? We are not staying at the resort, just coming to the restaurant.

Self parking is free. When you get to the gate, let the security guard know you have a reservation. They will ask for a photo ID and then tell you where to park. Valet is also available.

Although the menu prices initially gave us pause, the value quickly became clear once the food arrived. Every item we tried was flavorful, well‑prepared, and served hot. Pros: * Portions are significantly larger than expected, offering strong value for the price * Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor * The burger was prepared exactly to temperature and had great texture * Bar seating was comfortable, and the staff was consistently attentive and friendly * Smothered chicken had rich flavor and a satisfying presentation Cons: * The smothered chicken had slightly more breading than ideal, though still enjoyable A standout choice for Southern comfort food in Disney Springs. We arrived around 7pm and I went to check in while hubs parked the car. I was greeted as I approached the door, with a staff member holding the door open and guiding me where to check in. As I approached the desk, I was greeted and offered assistance. The check in was quick but I was kind of disappointed with the lack of upgrade options. Also, the welcome amenity I received was a box of chocolates with the box already damaged (see picture). I would think a hotel of this caliber would not give that to guests. We did receive a very thoughtful card and to drink vouchers to celebrate our anniversary, which was very nice! The individual who checked me in informed me our room had the Disney view and there would be fireworks, which we did not see. We are not Disney fans so we really did not prefer one view over another. The room was very nice. Everything was clean and tidy. I was disappointed with the slippers supplied though. They were not branded and looked like they were purchased at a discount kind of store. The air conditioning was decent but I do feel like it should have been colder. The room was quiet and so were the hallways. I had clients the next day so that was especially important. One of the Amex benefits is a 4pm check out. Since my work heavily involves HIPAA, I cannot do my job with other people present. My husband left and we had the privacy button/ light on so I would not be interrupted by housekeeping. I am unsure if the light turned off at regular checkout time (11am) and I did not think to double check but housekeeping knocked on my door and then opened it while I was working. I was under the impression that housekeeping would have a list of guests who are checking out late and not disrupt. I also did not put the security latch on after hubs left but I did not expect to be disturbed. The service at the restaurants and bars were magnificent. I unfortunately did not have time to book services at the spa but stopped in prior to leaving and they were very helpful and professional. This was my first experience at a Waldorf and probably not the best choice since there were as many kids as there were adults.

Wow, I was impressed with the presentation. Three thick slices of bread nicely browned with cinnamon-spiced apple filling and dusted with powdered sugar. This dish didn't need any syrup. Shortly after arrival, we noticed what appeared to be blood on the bed comforter. We initially assumed housekeeping would replace the bedding during routine room service, so we did not immediately escalate it. However, after multiple housekeeping visits over approximately two days, the same visibly stained bedding remained on the bed and was never replaced. What upset us most was not just the stain itself, but the fact that housekeeping serviced the room multiple times and still left the bedding in place. This created serious sanitation concerns and made us uncomfortable using the room. We brought the issue to the hotel's attention at checkout and were offered only waived resort fees. We then attempted to resolve the matter through both the property and Hilton Guest Assistance. Despite multiple follow-ups, the final offer from Hilton was only 10,000 Hilton Honors points on a stay that cost approximately 140,000 points. I am posting this because I believe future guests deserve to make informed decisions regarding cleanliness standards and how serious concerns are handled after they are reported. I have attached photos documenting the condition before and after housekeeping service. UPDATE: I want to add that after additional escalation through Hilton's social media support team, Hilton ultimately reviewed the situation more thoroughly and issued a substantial points adjustment that I felt more appropriately reflected the seriousness of the concern. While I still wish the issue had been handled differently initially, I genuinely appreciated finally feeling heard and taken seriously. I think it is only fair to acknowledge that Hilton did ultimately make a meaningful effort to resolve the situation.

On the bright side, the hotel restaurant was delicious, and our server there was great. The wine bar, unfortunately, was another story, the service was slow, and we ended up giving up and returning to our room. We enjoyed the upgrade and the overall ambiance of the hotel, so we would recommend it if the price is right, but definitely keep these issues in mind. I chose to give them 4 stars, instead of 3, due to the upgrade, and two free drink vouchers with check-in.

A friend and I purchased a ResortPass for the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista to enjoy a relaxing…read morepool day. The property looked beautiful, with multiple pools, a lazy river, and a poolside bar and restaurant, so we were looking forward to spending the day there. Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite live up to our expectations. The first challenge was parking. The directions weren't very clear, and I ended up parking at the convention center because I wasn't sure where ResortPass guests were supposed to park. Once we got to the pool area, it was incredibly crowded. To be fair, we visited on **July 3rd**, during a holiday weekend, so I expected it to be busy. However, it was beyond busy--it was packed. Every chair seemed to be taken, there were no tubes available for the lazy river because demand far exceeded the supply, and even ordering food or drinks from the bar involved a long wait. Simply getting around the pool area was difficult because of the number of people. I think the resort could improve the experience by limiting the number of ResortPass reservations based on expected occupancy. That would help ensure guests can actually enjoy the amenities they're paying to use. I do believe this experience was heavily influenced by the holiday weekend, and on a less crowded day it might be a completely different experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't think I'd purchase another ResortPass here. If you're considering visiting, I'd recommend avoiding holiday weekends if possible.

The water park towel guys were very helpful and nice to see Smiles on and ready to take for the towel replenishment! Heated water helped!! (1 star) Temperature of the room was chilly... Good for Florida heat!. Set at 60° and the temp stayed put... We had a decent layout of room and mini fridge. The room itself was in clean and nice condition when we arrived and left. Had a blemish when we ordered a kid burger for the daughters to split. Specifically asked for well done... It arrived medium. Unfortunate. But thank you for not charging me for it. The Blockbuster MINUS of stars happened when I thought I was showering...and ended taking a bath. Queezy stomach ? You have been warned. Room 532 needs hair removal from the drain! Fired up and angry I unscrew the drain plug... It flowed a little better. Maybe have a net nearby after rains .. I removed debris in the lazy river ... Maybe I send you a bill for my services. My family loved the proximity to Disney springs. So thank you for that. Parking prices were steep. Thank you Hilton Grand vacations for picking up the tab. Questions or comments reach out! Thank you for taking care of our family on this trip. Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma
