We have done alot of character dining but this ranks lower in my book. The theming is great. My kids love it. The food is just ok. Nothing to write home about. The character breeze through the dining room, spending very little time at each table. The service was just ok. The views are great if you get a seat by the window and get a view of these castle.

We came here over the weekend with family and really enjoyed our time! Reservations are highly recommended, but extremely easy to make through the app! Upon arriving you check in and then wait for your name to be called. The service was great and very prompt! No sooner did we sit down did the food start to come out! Everything we had was impeccable!! The food is served family style and has an "all you care to enjoy" motto so you are able to ask for seconds (or thirds!) of any piece of the meal! Everything we had was delicious, my favorite was the potstickers and the bread pudding! The atmosphere is great, with live music during your meal as well! The only down side we encountered: We had our two month old daughter with us and were told that we weren't allowed to bring our stroller into the dinning area, that we would need to park it. We found this a bit frustrating because she's not old enough to be sitting in the high chairs provided by the restaurant, so having her in the stroller would have made it so she could sleep while we were at the table. Instead my husband and I had to take turns holding her in order to be able to eat. Totally understand from a safety aspect that strollers take up space, but we felt it was unfair that some strollers were allowed and others weren't, it seemed like it just depended on who you got when your name was called! Overall we really enjoyed our experience here and look forward to coming back again in the future!

We used our food package to dine here with my son, his wife, and the ever amazing Grace. Eclectic food is about the right description. This is an all-you-can-eat. Openders was a salad with its own special dressing. The dressing was amazing, second was a skillet of chicken wings, noodles, stir-fry veggies, and pork wonton. Next came the teriyaki beef and grilled chicken. Our server mentioned the chicken was her favorite. My favorite was the teriyaki beef, and it was so good. Lastly came their version of bread pudding. The bread was infused with pineapple and coconut with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I know it sounds like too much food, and it was. I forgot there was a bowl of peel-and-eat shrimp that no one seemed to want to try. This was $67 per adult and $44 for the child. I would say the value-to-price ratio is spot on.

Fantastic place for family style dining at Disney's Poly resort. Go hungry because the food is amazing and plentiful. The servers are world class, and will go out of their way to make it a great experience.

Have dined here several times for each meal over ten years. Dinner is well worth the cost. Breakfast is not. Let's break it down. Both meals are family style. Dinner has multiple proteins, steak, chicken, shrimp. A platter with noodles, veggies, dumplings, some pineapple coconut bread, and a few other items. It's expensive BUT all you can eat and delicious. The noodles and the steak are the stars. If you go near fireworks time and are seated before the show (beware, people don't leave so tables don't turnover for around an hour before the show), I've never regretted going here. Breakfast is slightly cheaper and also all you can eat. Very standard Disney breakfast fare, bacon, eggs, Mickey waffles, etc. It's a character dining with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. It's cute but one of the least worth it character breakfasts on property imo. The food is just so sub par and there's nothing special about this meal.

Ohana is part of the iconic Polynesian Resort on Disney property, and I think it might just be my favorite restaurant of all time. The experience here truly can't be beat. It's nonstop delicious food, live entertainment, top-notch service--and if you book a later dinner, you can step outside afterward and watch the fireworks from the pool area. What's better than that? The décor and overall vibe instantly make you feel like you've been transported straight to Hawaii. From the warm lighting to the tropical details, it's just such a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Now, the food--everything was absolutely delicious. From the warm bread and butter to the shrimp, the wings, and that incredible dessert...I think I literally licked all 10 of my fingers. The family-style dining is perfect, and it really fits the vibe because Ohana means family. Bring everyone with you!! We did end up waiting about 15-20 minutes past our reservation time because they were running behind, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal. We wandered around the Polynesian, browsed the gift shop, and snagged a few things--no time wasted at all. Overall, I highly recommend Ohana. It's a full experience, not just a meal.

Came here on a whim for brunch, we got a last minute reservation and really wanted to see Lilo and stitch! The food was pretty underwhelming, the only thing we really enjoyed were the waffles, potatoes and fruit. Everything else was just okay. The draw here is definitely character dining and not so much the food. The characters (Lilo, stitch, Mickey and Pluto) only come out during breakfast and not dinner!

About to have an early dinner at Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Check in was a cinch with the MyDisney App. We had 5 people (including an infant in our party). Theirs is a set family menu starting with salad of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, a julienne of carrots and bell peppers, red onions accompanied by a sweet vinaigrette. The pineapple bread comes out warm with a honey-butter pad. A tray of honey-coriander sweet chicken wings (flats) and drumettes, absolutely scrumptious pork dumplings tossed in a garlic-chili sauce, as well as a medley of perfectly cooked teriyaki stir-fry vegetables are all served on a bed of sweet Ohana noodles. The sides are accompanied by the mains: Polynesian style wood fire-grilled options of black pepper teriyaki beef, chicken with guava-pineapple glaze, and seasoned peel-n-eat shrimp. They have a vegan menu and their dessert is an out-of-this-world warm bread pudding à la mode, featuring coconut and pineapple flavors, showered with a delicious caramel sauce . Our stars of the meal were the pork dumplings which were just the best ever, crunchy and delicious, the grilled chicken with the guava-pineapple sauce, and the fabulous dessert. The table service is a prompt (too prompt this time), helpful (and a seamlessly-rushed) experience; that Disney style we've come to experience lately. Multiple servers came sporadically to our table, but our main one was Boyson; he was super busy, thus understandably, not always available. There was one live music segment of Hawaiian music, ukulele and all. The restaurant has different size table settings to accommodate parties from small tables for two to larger families of 12 or more. The chairs are comfortable, they have high chairs upon request. Strollers are not allowed inside the restaurant to make it safe for all and ensure comfortable spaces and access. Their decoration hasn't changed much. Hawaiian colors and accents frame a beautiful backdrop of the hotel's iconic Seven Seas Lagoon and surrounding grounds. At night you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from certain angles at the main dining room. Over the years, we've come to Ohana and have been pleased with their food and especially their service. However, it is absolutely worth noting that their service in the past had better cadence; it felt more relaxed and better coordinated. This time, both service and entertainment, although fun and friendly, felt so rushed. They didn't check in on us as we would have liked, and we got the bill no sooner than we put down the dessert spoon. Like, "Off you go!" This restaurant works in a schedule of seatings, or turn-based service, so timing is crucial to feel you're enjoying a few courses of an "all-you-care-to-eat" menu and to justify the cost... well, this is not an inexpensive meal. We'll be back, we always come back, but hopefully you'll let us savor the meal a bit longer and please, coordinate your service better! And bring back the rice!

We are about to experience Ohana's Dinner. Already checked in through their app. It's prompt soon time is close to. It's very cozy with sift music in the background. Here is the resume. Wait time was very short we got window view very nice lookout. We were told that they will be bringing the meal as 3 course new buffet stile all you can eat delivered to the table. So I had to ask for extra sweet chicken wings. The desert was a dream come true. Everything very pleasant. Thanks for everything.!

Like Stitch said: " Ohana means family means no one gets left behind!" For this restaurant, Ohana means great family dinner means no one goes home hungry. First of all the atmosphere is awesome with live music, it feels like going to Hawaii for dinner, the staff were amazing they are fast and have great personalities. As the food, I love the dumplings, garlic noodles, and shrimp. They all are perfect. All the other food is tasty just my favorite are dumplings, noodles and shrimp. Also the bread pudding dessert is amazing. Will coming back here for sure!!!

This place is so cool. It sits above with a beautiful view. Service was great. They had a beautiful Polynesian singer that added to the ambiance. The food was delicious. The chicken wings, honestly some of the best we've had. Which i know is wierd because you wouldn't think so at disney but wow! I would drive there just to beg them to let me buy some to go lol. The steak was a bit tough, seemed like not a quality cut but none the less the flavor was terrific. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back.

If you ask they will bring you bacon.

We came to Ohana while staying at the resort for both dinner and breakfast. I can see from the other reviews, this likely won't go over well. Our first visit was for dinner, it's a large (very large) room, with decent decor and nice views of the lake outside. I didn't expect anything intimate (it is in a Disney resort), but it kind of had a cafeteria feel to it. The service for dinner was fine, our server was definitely more into efficiency; and she likely has to be to serve the masses. But we didn't see her much. We would've liked to order a few cocktails with dinner and we couldn't because she just never came back. I'm going to assume alot of the dinners either don't drink or are one and done (so we were out of norm here). She explained how it worked (AYCE), which typically gives me concern, but with all the glowing reviews, this place had to be good (right?). First, their bread, or their "Signature Bread", which is a pretty dense loaf, sweet with flavors of coconut and pineapple. I don't do sweet for dinner, but my wife and kid weren't a fan either...too dry and dense, it wasn't their thing. It also came out with a salad, a pretty basic mix of greens, tomatoes, peppers, red onions, carrots, and a cloyingly sweet dressing. Okay, but it's just bread and salad...what should I be expecting? Next, the Ohana Dinner Skillet with: Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings Tossed In Garlic-Chili Sauce, Wood Fire-grilled Black Pepper-Mirin-Teriyaki Beef, Peel-n-Eat Shrimp coated with 'Ohana Seasoning, Grilled Chicken with Guava-Pineapple Glaze, 'Ohana Noodles with Mirin-Teriyaki, Stir-fried Vegetables. This sounded promising. I love wings, and who doesn't like shrimp, and beef (although what kind?). It looked halfway decent over piled in its dish too. The wings had a beautiful glaze and were calling my name. I sunk my teeth in and felt instant regret. They were wings, with some sauce, although they were cooked long ago, recently glazed with a sauce that, other than sweetness, lacked flavor. Onto the dumplings, the same, cooked long ago, dry and flavorless. Okay, time to try something else, the chicken which I could smell cooking from their exposed kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. They were thighs (which are a safe bet if you don't want them to be overcooked), they had a good flavor from the glaze, and a char around the edges, which I like. These were good (I took a sip of my Backscratcher cocktail and began to relax again). I saw vegetables, and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Each one with the right amount of bite. Great...we're back on track for a four-star meal! Then the beef, this by far had to be the most disappointing item I ate all week. It was way beyond overcooked, I couldn't tell you what cut it was but it certainly didn't get better from the over-well-done cooking and the fact that it was (again) cooked long ago. Chewy and flavorless, other than the teriyaki glaze that was added last minute but did nothing to help matters. I choked down a bite of that and then moved to the noodles. They had good flavor, but like most everything else had sat and due to this they coagulated into a mass. Last to try was the shrimp. I peeled one open, the shell sticking to the meat underneath, and I knew where this was headed. I took a bite, the flavor was good, but the shrimp was way overcooked, nearly mushy. At this point, we looked over our barely touched food and wondered, how can people order refills of this stuff? Which they were as the plates continued to come out in droves. The dessert was bread pudding, which I think was from the leftover bread we started with (good use of leftovers), but it wasn't that good, although the vanilla ice cream on it was good. Dinner just wasn't good, and it is not cheap to eat here. This would've been it for us, but being Disney you make reservations 60 days out or you run the chance of not having a meal. I actually volunteered not coming back for the breakfast we had booked in a few days, but my wife reminded me of my six year old who was looking forward to the characters. So, two days later we returned, less optimistic than for dinner. Breakfast was much better than dinner, but hey, it's eggs, sausage, bacon (if you ask) and some other items. The service the same, the atmosphere the same. But the food seemed fresher and had more flavor. I might return for breakfast again, but never dinner.

This place is so busy that the check in for the restaurant is not where the sign and hostess is. I wonder if anyone else besides me made that mistake. There's a huge waiting area with seats for those that check in on the opposing corner of the back side on the second floor. There's a nice view of the lava pool and a place to store the strollers if you have one. Check in process was fine but could be a roundabout walk if you take the wrong set of stairs. As you get taken to your seats you immediately smell a waft of yummy pineapple coconut bread. And wow this bread is so delicious. Our second set had these sweet pineapple pieces scattered through the bread. It's a must try. The restaurant is LOUD. The window seats are nice but the tables are very close together. This is a popular brunch and dinner spot but just know it's not going to be as spacious as Topolinos. The lilo juice is yummy. I think guava, passion fruit and oj? All you can eat sausage, potato's, egg, biscuit, ham and waffles. The scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious and that sausage was runner up. I loved the meal. Not too excited by how loud it could be and it felt hard to get pictures with the characters with how tight the space was. I almost felt like I bumped into my neighbors multiple times. I also had issues with the lighting for some of the pictures which is just luck on location of seating. We saw lilo, stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Otherwise it's definitely a place you should try for breakfast and lunch/dinner. I'm feeling nice today so I'm rounding up. But otherwise it would be a 4.5 rating for me.

    What to wear for dinner?

Casual (or Hawaiian dress that we ended up doing for fun); they understand patrons are going to and from parks, but you can very well make a fancier evening out of it.

Is there any entertainment during dinner? Years ago we went to a luau at the Polynesian, and were hoping to see a similar show.

Some singing and ukelele playing. If you really want entertainment try the hoop de due review at fort wilderness.

Is the grilled chicken boneless? Is there also wings available and can the spicy shrimps be altered?? Thx

The chicken is not boneless but it very tasty. There are wings available but are dry in comparison to the chimichurri chicken. The shrimp are not spicy to me at all.

What is the parking situation at this restaurant?

This is at the Disney Polynesian restaurant. If you have reservations, you can park here. You will need to show ID at the gate.

    Is Stitch back for breakfast?

    Yes

Is Ohana closed permanently due to covid?

No opened back up but is way worse

Can you take leftover dinner to go?

    Yes of course

My family and I will be going here in January 2020. What time is a good dinner reservation in order to see the fireworks?

Usually fireworks are at 9, so 8 or 830 reservation is good. You have to ask to sit by the windows to see them or yo have to go stand over someone else's table which can be awkward.

How much is it per person for dinner? We got reservations for our trip in April.

    $49/person

    Better for breakfast or dinner?

Dinner! You get to see fireworks from magic kingdom

I've tried making reservation, but no luck. I also remember being turned away at door because we had no reservation. It says "suggested" but isn't it required?

The chances of getting a walk-up table are slim. You would probably have to luck out and take the place of a no-show. Try booking a reservation a few days in advance. People…

The brisket was the standout for me, followed closely by the pulled pork. The chicken and sausage held their own too. Honestly nothing on the board disappointed. The beer selection also surprised me in the best way -- not your typical theme park watered-down options. One heads up for first-timers: order before you find a table. We made the mistake of doing it the other way around and were pretty firmly told we couldn't sit until we had ordered. I finally got the manager on the phone 45 minutes before my reservation, after insisting I wait on the line for him to come to the phone. Suffice it to say, he apologized for the delay, explained that he had been off work for several days, and said that 45 minutes was too short a turnaround to organize the set menu for our dinner guests. The biggest problem, whether he was busy, on PTO, or otherwise, is this: Why was no one else on the front-of-house team equipped with the knowledge and skills to finalize a set menu for our dinner? I have planned these types of small dinners and events my entire career, in different cities across the US and with different types of restaurants -- so I am more than a little surprised at how unprofessional or unprepared this restaurant was. I am leaving this review in hopes of helping other event planners avoid a similar issue -- this restaurant may be more accustomed to tourists or typical diners than corporate reservations.

We called to let them know, and they were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to have our full reserved bowling time instead of cutting it short. That level of customer service really made a difference. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and it ended up being the perfect way to end our night. We had an absolute blast and really appreciated how understanding and flexible everyone was. We'll definitely be back!

I had no idea that this is not a traditional 40 side by side bowling alley! We came through the door & were immediately greeted by a young man who helped us locate our family. Surprise! They were on the 2nd floor! Since I was in a wheelchair, we were directed to the elevator & told he'd take us to our group. When the elevator door opened on the 2nd flr, there he was to walk us to our group! You really need to look around to appreciate all that's offered! The 1st flr has plenty of restaurant & bar seating, so you don't have to bowl to enjoy the atmosphere & food & drinks! Lanes are set up in clusters each having long table booth & stools! We were a party of 10 & had plenty of room. We had drinks. Everyone wanted to bowl, not use our time eating! When our time was almost up, we asked our server for tables to sit & eat. He set us up on the 2nd flr near our lane. There's also a bar & pool table in that area! TV's surrounded the area & we watched the World Cup! We ordered a variety of foods. Chicken tenders w:fries, multiple burgers:fries options, pizza, turkey club, sliders & chicken fried rice! Let me tell you, everyone loved their choices! I would easily recommend going for the food & drinks on their own! Everyone was very friendly & welcoming! As we were getting ready to pack up, we saw the young man who 1st welcomed us & he stopped to say he hoped we'd had a great time & he'd see us again! That's a given! Great time with family, having fun, laughing, eating & just having a blast being together! We can't wait to go again!

She was super friendly and checked in on us frequently with refills. I wish I could have tried more of the menu, but I went for the Cuban Sandwich and classic Mojito. Out starter was the crab cheese dip which was amazing! The Cuban sandwich was perfect, and a big sandwich at that! I could have easily been full with a half sandwich. Rice and beans side was a delicious accompaniment. Atmosphere was quiet and casual, easy for conversation. I can't wait to come back here again!

Therefore, we opted for indoor seating and the delightful air conditioning in today's 97 degree heat. The food was very good. The Jamaican jerk chicken wings are seasoned well. This time, they were slightly dry instead of perfect like last time. The grilled chicken with cilantro-crema, mashed potatoes and corn remains my favorite dish on the menu. Ask for a side of the sauce too; it's that good. The cheeseburger and fries was standard and okay but unremarkable, which means it was perfect for my mom who is a picky eater and not adventurous. Pro-Tip: if you are headed somewhere with a refrigerator, order the full portion of the grilled chicken with cilantro-cream and take one breast and some mashed potatoes home for another meal. The full portion is only $3 more than the light version, but comes with a second piece of chicken breast. Otherwise, save the $3 because one breast is plenty filling. You could also consider sharing the full portion plate to save room (and money) for apps or dessert. We chose the flaming pineapple butter cake for dessert. It arrived piled high with pineapples and vanilla ice cream on the side. When the server lit the sauce then poured it, the flames danced. However, not all the alcohol burns off. The cake was saturated and tasted of alcohol where it was poured. Warning: Check your receipt. We were charged $2.99 for trivia games we did not play and $0.50 extra for cheese when the item ordered was a cheeseburger listed as coming with cheese on the menu for $18.99.

On one of Orlando's hottest days this year, we chose EPCOT. As the heat began to break down our party's will to live, we began to think of lunch. But what to have in this theme park filled with culinary delights? The British Pub was booked out. German sausages and American barbeque were too heavy for the weather. As the heat began to turn tired and hungry into exhausted and hangry, we took the next opportunity we happened upon and inquired at the check-in desk in Japan. Moments later, we were whisked down a long hallway of sub-divided Japanese shoji-clad (but probably not really) rooms and seated for our lunch. The polite and attentive staff took drink and appetizer orders. After quickly consuming ice-cold water and a few sips of the always-delightful Sapporo, we were presented with ginger-dressed salads and my takoyaki appetizer. Now just let me take a moment. Takoyaki is octopus dumpling. I first came upon this amazing food while living in Hawaii and I was so excited to see it on this menu. And it totally holds up! Don't recoil at the idea of eating octopus. I've had straight-up grilled octopus before, and it's quite delicious, but in dumpling form with its crispy outer bread crust and creamy filling, it is MAGICAL. If I had one criticism, it's that there's not a lot of octopus in each dumpling, maybe a small piece or two. What I do wonder is whether that's a cost-savings approach, or if it's meant to broaden the appeal for the adventurous eater to proudly proclaim their brave love of octopus. Either way, a bit more octopus would be welcome! Around this same time our chef entered and began to prepare the main meal, starting with delicious grilled vegetables and udon noodles. After a hot day in the park, the freshly-cooked veg was hugely restorative (as was the aforementioned salad). Most of our party ordered the steak and chicken combo, which was an enormous amount of food, with probably 3/4 of a pound of meat. It's a lot of food. And, of course, super delicious. Our chef was fun and lively, though I don't really care much for the showy aspect of American teppanyaki (I researched this once and learned that teppan in Japan is a very serious, formal meal. I'm not surprised to learn the American interpretation is nowhere near authentic). Desserts are offered, comprising multiple matcha choices which we didn't indulge, due to the volume of food in the preceding courses. This is not an inexpensive experience. But fresh-cooked real food in a theme park is hard to come by, and taking the time to experience an actual meal over the course of an hour or two was a much-needed break. I would also suggest that, taking my logic one step further, investing in a restful meal may actually encourage you to spend more time in the park than you might otherwise, perhaps improving its overall value.

Both were decent, but neither appetizer left a lasting impression or made me want to order them again. For our entrées, we had the Orange Chicken with white rice and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The orange chicken was fine, but I've definitely had better at restaurants that charge a lot less. The spicy tuna roll was fresh, but it was pretty average and didn't stand out. The highlight of the night was easily my drink, the TAKARABAKO. The drink was presented in a smoke box, it was great presentation. If I had to recommend one thing, it would be this cocktail. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the quality or the price. For what we spent, I expected to be blown away, but instead I left disappointed. The beautiful atmosphere and good service weren't enough to make up for food that was simply average. Great presentation, an excellent cocktail, and good service, but the food wasn't memorable and definitely wasn't worth the cost.
