A really great vacation meal!!! We were at Disney Springs shopping when hunger struck us-(probably at the same time as hundreds of other diners!!!) most restaurants were on a 45"+ wait time. We checked out Paddlefish to find it was a 20-30" wait so off we went to the bar to rest our weary feet and enjoy a Margarita on the rocks w/ Black Salt and a Tom Collin's with extra Lemons. My dining companion and I enjoyed them! We waited about 35" and were seared in an upstairs dining room. We were served delicious, warm and fluffy dinner rolls with butter which we thoroughly enjoyed! Then ordered and waited a short time for a beautiful Filet Mignon and my Crispy Shrimp Platter . We both enjoyed our entrees -which were done to perfection. We both took home leftovers for a bedtime snack! Service by Hannah our waitstaff was excellent. We both wished we had saved room for dessert but no way!! I'll keep it short and sweet- This place is extremely mid. I was on a Disney vacation and had bought a dining plan previously so I decided to splurge and come to the paddlefish for dinner which costs two dine in credits. You get an entree , alcoholic drink and dessert (I would estimate around $90 for one person before tip). All of the food was mid, and the drinks were lacking excitement. Paddlefish is a seafood-focused, fine-dining restaurant located on a cool reimagined steamboat at Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, with waterfront views from most tables, a rooftop lounge for events (it was closed when we went, and a menu with fresh seafood, steaks, and craft cocktails. Great for people watching, families, work groups. But it's an upscale experience, food is a bit inconsistent with the price, Cuisine: Seafood-centric, sith daily catches, crab, scallops, and also steaks and chops. I've seen this place a few times when I was at Disney Springs and always wanted to eat here and I got the opportunity to do so during my birthday trip. The wait was a bit long but I think it is for all restaurants there. Obviously the outside is really cute like a giant paddle boat, but the inside is also really cute with the inside boat theme too. The views are also really fun with car boats driving by and all kinds of fun stuff to watch. Our server was a little strange, but he was nice and efficient so no complaints there. I got the FLORIDA GROUPER which was Pan seared grouper, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, lemon and it was very yummy. The restaurant is actually a boat and there were a lot of different dining rooms. The server was very helpful and pleasant! The bread they brought before the meal was very good super light & airy! I had shrimp & grits & it was really good! The shrimp were blackened but not spicy at all. My daughter had the fried catfish & she said that was good as well. The restaurant was crowded and we did wait over an hour but we put our name on list & continued to shop as the restaurant is located in Disney Springs. My fiancé and I had great dinner here!! One of the highlights was the delicious lobster corn dogs, which were crispy and flavorful and definitely worth ordering. It was something we've never seen before. The aioli it was served with paired very nicely. For entrees, I had the shrimp pasta, which our waitress Natalia recommended. I ordered it without asparagus. I was very happy with it. Flavors were great! My fiancé ordered the ribeye, and he said it was cooked exactly how a steak should be; simple, well-prepared, and not over seasoned. It was served with kale which was dressed nicely and Parmesan fries. Natalia truly stood out as a rockstar server. Her recommendation made a big difference in our experience. Pro tip: ask for Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the side. Mix a few sprinkles (preference based) into the pasta and then dip the bread into the leftover sauce at the bottom of the dish! Major disappointment. The menu is a great menu but the service and food preparation is not worth the extreme price. 30 minutes after our order was in it finally came out but not together. My salmon was barely above room temperature, the miso was cooled to the point it was solidify. Our steaks were overcooked yet barely warm when served and we had to ask for steak knives. Portions would have been ok if the preparation would have allowed us to eat before it got too cool. The restaurant was clean and noise was not an issue. This is probably one of my favorite restaurants on Disney Property. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We sat inside because it was a windy evening but the view was still nice. You could see the volcano, dinosaur, and car boat rides from neighboring restaurants so the kids enjoyed that. The kids meals were nice portions and their food was really good; I would know, I finished it. We didn't get a picture of my husbands dish, but he got the Mahi and he loved it! Came for a celebration and had a nice experience! Got sat earlier than our reservation time which was a nice surprise. The waitress was nice but it took forever to get our drinks and bread. Delicious food and excellent service in this floating comfortable restaurant last Wednesday. Such a nice place rot eat and drink and spend the evening. Start with Warm Fresh baked bread and butter! Appetizers were Calamari and Crab Cake. Both were very delicious. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender with a tasty sauce served with it. The carb cake was wonderful as well, especially being served with the fried green tomato. both were so yummy! Two shared a wedge salad that looked absolutely delicious. Huge slice of lettuce covered with a delicious dressing. The other two shared a Caesar salad which was fabulous. Fresh romaine with a delicious dressing! Very yummy!! Crab Cake 8/10 Great mixture for the crab cake, had a lot of crab. Fried green tomato was a nice touch but you couldn't really taste it in the whole bite because of the batter was so much it just took over the whole bite. The corn succotash-like was unexpected, as it wasn't listed on the menu as part of the dish. It was good but a cheesy elote would be so much better (like what comes with the fried green tomatoes). The Remoulade was such a tiny bit on the top, it was nowhere near enough to taste in a bite, but if you tried it alone, it was good. Peel & Eat Key West Pink Shrimp 5/10 Absolutely NO flavor. The shrimp was SO BLAND, we didn't even eat them all cause they were just so disappointingly terrible. Filet Mignon 7/10 Medium cook. Was cooked perfect, just not seasoned the best. Just tasted like plain meat. Could have been better and more flavorful. Or at least had a good sauce/butter to go with it. Mashed Potatoes 9/10 Good. Asparagus 9/10 Good. What a wonderful experience for my birthday at paddlefish! We sat on the third level with a nice view of Disney springs! We were starving so the phone did not eat first this time but I can tell you that it was absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the clam chowder, very good but just like any clam chowder honestly! We also ordered the fried shrimp which were crispy and delicious! It came with a side of crispy fries! We ordered the shrimp pasta which came with a delicious buttery sauce and I really loved it! For dessert we got their key lime pie with a toasty marshmallow topping and wow that was my favorite!!!! TLDR: be prepared to wait and dish out a pretty penny for mid-food. It is really hit or miss. Even with a reservation be prepared to wait. We had a reservation for 7pm, didn't get sat until 7:15pm and our server didn't come and greet us until 7:30pm. Fortunately we weren't in any rush so we didn't mind, but make sure to allot more time than you'd want. We were taken to the 2nd floor, and it was quite loud. Hard to really have conversations within my table and our neighboring tables chairs were definitely hitting the backs of ours. The seafood tower was delicious. A great variety of seafood & cold apps to start. I really enjoyed the blue crab ceviche. For my main I got the linguine & clam and was a little disappointed. There's potential but after eating the seafood tower, the pasta just lacked flavor. Good amount of clams, more on the soupy side and you just wish it had a little more flavor. Gotta start with the food. Every bit of everything anyone at the table had was phenomenal. My pork chop was incredibly flavorful and very juicy. The chimichurri and potatoes were the perfect accouterments. I had never heard of macque choux before, but we ordered it as a side for the table, and everyone loved it, we fought overtime the last bites! The edamame and bacon succotash was mostly corn, and while it was pretty good, we all agreed we wouldnt order it again, two orders of macque choux instead! The rest of my table ordered seafood, and while I don't eat seafood, there wasn't a single complaint about the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant in general isn't thrilling. Its white, clean, and fine, but boring. We got lucky and sat in a secluded-ish area right next to a window with a view of the water, which helped. But of you were just in the middle of the main part of the dining room, I can't imagine thered be anything wonderful to say. Our server was also just fine. He seemed bothered in the beginning, maybe because we brought out own wine (paid the corkage fee, of course, we weren't hiding anything), he seemed less bothered by the end but was not friendly, and never smiled. The manager saved this review from a 2. They have a menu where all their food has a possibility of cross contamination which makes dining with allergies difficult. So, immediately everything you have been eyeing on the menu is off the table. Our waitress was professional and polite. Due to allergies, one person in our party was able to order a well done steak ( don't judge) and plain potatoes. The steak came out medium. We order a steak medium rare and it came out medium well. Our server was Eric and he was easily best server I have ever had in my life. My water never got below half full, he was very kind but also humerus, and his recommendations were on point. I came for sunset and was seated in the rooftop. Very beautiful scenery with the skyline view of Disney Springs. Beware it does get chilly with the wind after sunset.
