We hired Colin and his team to section off part of our already finished basement to build a wine cellar. This included removing the existing walls/ceiling, framing, insulating, putting up new wall, plastering, tiling and installing a door and climate control system. Colin is very professional and tech savy. After coming to our home to discuss the project, he typed up a detailed quote/contract including a timeline with estimated dates of completion for various tasks. He was in constant communication throughout the project via phone, text and email (whether it be about arrival times, project related decisions or summarizing the status). We were impressed by his and his subcontractors quality of work and friendliness. He is detail oriented and cares about how the job looks. For example, to save money, we told him that we would do the painting. However, as the project progressed, he wanted to make sure the caulking on the baseboard looked right, so he primed the entire room at no extra cost. He is also just a caring person. While he and his plumber were working in our mechanical room, they noticed a major issue with our furnace which was potentially releasing carbon monoxide into our home. He and his plumber addressed the issue, even going as far as calling the manufacturer of furnace to confirm the proper set-up. Before leaving for the day, he also ran to Home Depot, purchased and installed a carbon monoxide detector in that room so that we would have piece of mind. He truly went above and beyond and we are very grateful. We have already started working with Colin on another project and look forward to hiring him in the years to come.

I finally made the decision to renovate my kitchen and found BSW on Angie's List and Houzz. From the beginning, Mona was patient and very knowledgeable. I started the process wanting carrera marble, but after going to the stone yard, Mona noticed that I was being repeatedly drawn to a quartzite (fantasy brown). I didn't even notice it until Mona pointed it out! So after I jumped into the bold (fantasy brown) and left the classic humdrum (carrera) behind, enter John and his team of installers. While templating, John even gave me suggestions on my choice of brackets for the floating counter. During the install day, the crew was friendly, professional, and quick! Even though there were slight modifications needed, which were explained to me in a clear manner, the install took less than 2 hours. I'm extremely happy with BSW and would recommend them to anyone!

I did a partial kitchen reno and needed to match the existing quartz counters that Mona's team installed last time. Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona. Her reliability, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving in every project, no matter how small, give me total peace of mind. And the prices are still very reasonable, even years later! Thank you so much!

When we decided that the quartz that we wanted was beyond our budget, Wandra recommended some other quartz manufacturers that could be negotiated with if we found something that we liked. We found exactly what we wanted at the second manufacturer and, good to her word, Wandra worked some magic and brought the price down into our budget. She was extremely responsive and kept us in the loop for fabrication and scheduling. Wandra then worked with us on layout, showing us mutiple layout options that would maximize the beauty of quartz' pattern. The installers were, prompt, courteous, and very neat. They did a great job with the installation, can barely see the seams. They cleaned up extremely well once they were done. I would definitely recommend EF Granite and Wandra Nunes, for a great experience with new counter tops.

We can't recommend EF Granite more and going to use them for every project in the future

The conversation quickly turned unpleasant for me. I felt like I was being interrogated rather than learning more about this company. This woman fired at me with a barrage of questions some of which I felt were too personal, too irrelevant and too premature at this early stage of the proposed project. I had really hoped to find out more about what services they offered. However, I didn't get much of a chance to ask any questions myself because she took over the entire conversation and had a long list of questions for me! What bothered me the most was her superior attitude and her speaking down to me; it was demeaning. She made me feel as though they would be doing me a favor by taking on my project, maybe it wasn't big enough for them, who knows. She said it would take 3 to 4 months just to come up with a design, never mind implementation. Overall, the sense I got was that they only wanted to deal with big lucrative projects and they were qualifying me to see if it was worth their time. She did not listen to me or seem to care about my concerns. Based on my poor initial contact with them I hired another company to do my project.

Innocent enough question, but little did I know that that would require buying an additional box of the MOST EXPENSIVE tile because we were short just two tiles. The tiles were available only by the full box. This one was a very pricey glass accent tile that we will never use anywhere else. Like others who have posted reviews, the final cost was higher than the original cost. And it took so long to get a quote that by the time I got it, it was too late to go to another vendor. There were a lot of ways we could have avoided buying that extra full box. Lesson learned. I will never fall into the same trap again. And I hope you don't either. Easiest way is to shop elsewhere. The full cost of tiles should be explained by the person selling them. And decisions that affect cost should be transparently explained.
