I did not expect to be impressed, but I was. Clean, courteous, tasty, reasonably priced, decent selection, and they have things for people beyond coffee: small games like connect four, QR codes for FREE COFFEE (hint hint), giveaways, and free diy ornaments. It feels so intensely uncomfortable to walk into this cafe. Two bank employees are just hanging out in the center of the shop eyeing you as you enter, arms crossed. A few unhoused individuals hanging out on the couch. The bathrooms are disgusting despite being protected by a code. I really love the capital one cafés. This was my first time at this location, and I had a similarly great experience as at other cafes. There's a fair amount of seating, some in the central café area and then 2 separate rooms with a few tables each. There are many options for handcrafted drinks, and a couple of snacks as well. Everyone is really friendly and happy to help. There wasn't a water bubbler that I could see, but the barista happily filled up my water bottle from behind the cafe. I took away a star because of the lack of water fountain and fewer outlets, but I will definitely be back here to work. read more

I went here with some friends on Valentine's weekend for their $1 drink special where literally everything was $1! This cafe is conveniently located next to Whole Foods and there's meter parking available. I got the Caramel Macchiato and enjoyed it. They have a decent selection of drinks and pastries. The service was average. They have 4-5 tables available, but they do check vaccination cards to sit down. They don't check for quick in and out. They also have some bar seats by the window. After a spinning class at Turnstyle, I decided to go to Capital One Cafe for a quick bite to eat. Most if not all of Capital One Cafe is designated for the actual Cafe and only a small portion is actually designated for the bank. The Cafe is a Peet's Coffee and they serve a variety of coffee, tea and pastries. Plus, if you have a Capital One card you get 50% off your drinks. I ended up getting a hot chocolate as well as a chocolate pastry. My hot chocolate was nice, creamy and tasty. The whipped cream on top was also very good! The chocolate pastry was airy and soft. I also enjoyed the chocolate inside and the powdered sugar drizzle on top. There are a few tables inside that you can sit at. Also, there is a small desk, which is wear someone from the Capital One bank sits at. I asked her a couple of questions and we had a nice conversation. We even talked about the Capital One advertisements. She was also very kind and gave me some cards, which gave me some free drinks at Capital One Cafe. If you have a Capital One card you get 50% off your drinks. Altogether, Capital One Cafe is a very nice cafe that is located in the South End of Boston where you can a nice, quick bite to eat. read more

Super friendly and patient while I talked to the Capital One folks on his phone about my issue. We chatted while I was on hold and he hooked me up with a delicious berry tea infusion (I don't drink coffee so didn't know the other options). The Cafe seemed quiet and like a good place to work, with Peet's coffee and teas available. Use your Capital One card for half price cafe drinks. It's right outside the Assembly orange line stop, or a bit of a walk from the parking lots near the mall and Home Depot if you don't want to pay for metered parking out front. Today as I went to get my coffee and pull some money out for my haircut, I was approached by the Cap One manager. He goes to tell me (after an incident where his employee harassed me) that if I acted the way I did again that I would be banned from the cafe. I asked him if there was an update on the staff who approached and harassed me? If I'm the only one who is at risk? He proceeded to tell me that it doesn't matter and that if I acted the same way it was a done deal. I then told him to "get the fuck out of my face" because my actions were reactionary to his employee. He then tells me to change my language or I'd be banned. I told him he's provoking me by coming up to me when I was minding my business. He told me he had to tell me. I asked him if his employee would continue to get away with the behavior if she approached me again. He didn't respond and instead repeated his first statement. The harassment and lack of knowledge for customer care is ridiculous and I invite people to think about their banking needs elsewhere. Obviously their staff and manager aren't fit or competent enough to help lead positive conversations and instead shift blame to the customer for their staff short comings. I will still be getting my coffee and ignoring the bank staff as I do. No level of harassment is going to make me change my behavior (especially as the person who continues to be approached and provoked). read more

Rating is for café service. I thought it was a good idea to get a drink after depositing my checks. I should've gotten a drink next door, Whole Foods instead. The barista was rude when I asked questions on a particular drink (I asked because I am not sure of the ingredients, not to annoy you). The whole time she gave me a "i don't want to be here, whatever attitude." OK I get it, I saw a sign stating that the café will be closed at 3pm due to the 4th holiday. Capital One Café, So who ever thought of this concept at Capital One must have been smoking something... Half bank half café??,, totally out of the box but brilliant!!!! First off, if you are a Capital One card holder and a coffee drinker, you'd be stupid to go anywhere else. You get Peet's coffee, which in my opinion is better than Starbucks, at half the price every time you buy a coffee when you use your card. That's some huge cash savings if you normally drink 2-3 cups a day like me. Also, I've always hated to stand in line at a bank for like 10 -15 minutes just to talk to someone for a minute. Such a freaking waste of time. Here, I can get a coffee, relax a bit, do some emails and work, surf the net and then speak with someone whenever I want. But besides the concept itself, I'm actually most impressed with their staffing and culture. I haven't had the chance to really visit many other branches in Boston so can't say they are all the same, but I really can't say enough about the staff at the Ink Block branch. Besides being super friendly, professional and helpful, I've never seen any other bank try to help out the community like them. Although I haven't had a chance to join them but it seems that they, on a regular, do volunteer outings with customers to homeless shelters or food banks. I know most of it is probably for PR for Capital One, but I truly believe this group are genuinely great people and are into helping the less fortunate. I've witnessed a chinese mother and daughter walk in on an especially freezing day, I think just to loiter and warm up.(us Chinese do a lot of that) And it was obvious they did not prepare for the weather cause they were freezing their tushies off. But it was especially hart warming to see one of the staff who saw this, offered them both some Cap One gloves and a warm drink even though they were not there to buy drinks or to bank. Another time the fire alarm for the whole building went off and we were forced to go outside. It just so happened that is was pouring rain that day so it sucked, but the staff started passing out some umbrellas for the customers and people next door even when they didn't have enough for themselves and had to share. I'm not one to do reviews, but witnessing things like that makes me want to write one and give props to where it's due. Hopefully I got all the names right.
