My time at Capital Post- Acute was short, but it was a place I can say I felt truley cared for with the upmost care! I came here straight from the Kaiser Hospital, not knowing anything about this Facility, I will say I was very nervous. I was greeted so well, and made to feel safe and protected. as the days passed I noticed how all the Staff all the way to the Top Ranking Employees to the office workers were very helpful when you needed assistance. when it came time for me to leave, Miss Ruth, the Discharge Planner went to work trying to find me a safe place to go and to meet my needs. even though my time ran out with Kaiser she made it possible for me to stay until she found that place I could call HOME! I would also like to add how clean of a place it is! The CNA,s are kind and caring as well, they take the time to help you and make sure ALL your needs are met. I was recently a patient at Capital Post Acute for almost 2 months. This is a great facility. They prepared me for the challenges I am facing at home and took excellent care of me. The activities department helped pass the time while I was there with fun activities like bingo, pokeno & arts & crafts. The physical therapy department earned their five star rating. I was in really bad shape when I got there. I could barely walk. Now I go up and down a flight of 15 stairs a couple of times a day. Each and every one of the therapists there are very educated, inspirational, motivational, kind & understanding. I am so grateful to them. When given the choice too pick a facility from the hospital I picked Capital. The care that I received at Capital Post Acute is excellent and they're the best facility in Sacramento. The staff and everyone that works at Capital have treated me with great care. The food in the kitchen is excellent and Curtis the dietary manager does a great job. This hospital feels more like a mental asylum or a prison -- even worse than a prison. It's a noisy, dirty, and crowded place where patients can't sleep for even a moment. The staff are terrible, especially the social workers. They don't listen to the patients at all. I was sent here for two weeks, but they have been keeping me here by force for more than three weeks now. During this time, I haven't had a single peaceful night of sleep. No matter how much I beg them to discharge me and let me go home and rest -- because I need sleep more than anything -- they don't listen. Most of them are rude, disrespectful, and act unprofessionally. read more
