I was never an official patient of Julie's, but she provided a lot of reassurance, resources, and care to me over text and voicemail. If she'd do this for me, I imagine her actual patients are even more taken care of! I reached out to Julie while pregnant, and even though she mostly specializes in PT postpartum, she recommended some exercises to help with my hip strength. She also took the time to explain some pregnancy body changes 101 to me. Postpartum, I also reached out right in the middle of covid19. She explained her in depth cleaning practices and spacing between clients, all of which sounded very thorough. I happened to reach out relatively early in my postpartum journey, so she directed me to some of her YouTube videos for pelvic floor but also encouraged me to check in again later if I wanted to seek care. I greatly appreciated Julie's attention and help over the phone, especially knowing she can book out weeks in advance. I know other women who have greatly benefited from her in-person care, as well.

Going up and down them felt like climbing Everest with a fork stuck in my knee. Enter: Maddie, the world's greatest physical therapist. I'm convinced she might actually be a magician. She took one look at me and my feeble attempt at walking, gave me that "we're gonna fix this" confidence, and suddenly I'm doing more squats and lunges than I knew the human body could legally perform in one hour. And somehow she made it fun. And shoutout to Dylan and Jesse, the MVP assistants they're hilarious, so encouraging, and make squats and lunges feel like a social event instead of punishment. Fast-forward: I can run again. I finished a whole month-long running challenge at my gym in August. This from the same person who was treating a dog walk like an extreme sport back in March. The entire staff at Parry PT is exceptional, upbeat, and genuinely cares. There's this sense of community in the clinic. If you need physical therapy, go to Parry. It's very helpful and easy to remember. That's something I never got in a traditional PT's office. Getting therapy at home is a wonderful experience. No need to drive a long way. No need to sit at a waiting room before the appointment. Flexible scheduling so less stress. I feel relaxed at my own home and enjoy the privacy setting. I don't have to worry who is watching me when I bend down in pain or be embarrassed to discuss my health issue in a shared gym environment. Setting up an appointment was easy. I was in pain and soon after I called Luna, Christine came to help in a week while other PT clinics told me to wait for at least two months. Instead of bringing home description of exercises on paper, there are videos on my cell thru the app so it is easier to follow. I had concern having a stranger coming to my house, but I told Luna my specific requirements and it turned out great. I think it's hard for me to go back to a regular PT clinic after trying Luna PT.

My 83 year old mom was in a car accident and as a result, suffered a fractured hip. After hip surgery she was sent to Greenhaven for rehab. When my mother arrived at Greenhaven she was not in the best shape mentally or physically. She was in a lot of pain from the accident and often talked about wanting to die. Maria and Angela from the physical therapy department actually saved my mom's life. The love and care that those two physical therapist demonstrated, you can't teach!! You either have it or you don't. EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! Jon in the physical therapy department was also, EXCEPTIONAL!!!! I had the opportunity to watch some of the other physical therapist in that department work on patients, and to be honest, they were all warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They were, GREAT!!! The physical therapy department gets an A+ in my opinion. Angelina from administration was a dream, she made my mom feel cared for. She checked on my mom periodically to make sure she had everything that she needed. Friendly, professional and a hard worker. Patrick was also extremely caring and professional and checked on my mom daily. I know because I was at the facility everyday, by my mom's side, for close to two weeks with my sister. I stayed there with my mom from 9 am til sometimes 6 pm and then my sister would relieve me and takeover, and stay from 6 pm til closing, everyday. I'll simply say, my mom would be a challenge for most nurses, but, CeCe, Progress and James, definitely have a spot reserved in heaven, simply by how they cared for my mom. They are 3 of the kindest souls I've ever met. They were responsible for the general care of my mom, which included, changing her diaper, but, they would also comfort her, and assure me and my sister that my mom would be just fine and that she's getting better everyday! Some of the, other staff that changed my mom, I had a problem with, but we ultimately resolved our issues. Greenhaven would get 5 stars if not for the few staff members that did a subpar job. Lastly, I did notice that the patients were out and about and moving around more at Greenhaven, than at the other facilities that I toured, so that's a plus.

Instead of helping people recover, they often seem completely out of it. Watching this happen was extremely disturbing. Overmedicating patients to keep them quiet raises serious concerns and, in my opinion, borders on elder abuse. Patients deserve attentive care, dignity, and proper treatment while they recover. Families place a lot of trust in facilities like this, and unfortunately this place did not live up to that responsibility.
