Much deserved review... You'd think that a company like them contracted with Geico, would be a big corporate owned and not really care about people if it didn't involve money. HOWEVER, these guys impressed me with how personal they made my experience last night. Long story short, Geico transferred me to them for roadside assistance. I spoke to Mike, gave me a price, I said no problem, he told me that his driver will be at my location in 30 mins. 15 mins later Melvin arrived, friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. Long story short, my situation was much more complicated than I thought, therefore it was going to require a lot more work and possible damage to the vehicle. So I asked Melvin if I decide to just leave the car and not tow it for now and deal with it later, what would he charge me for coming out. He said, "well usually we work off of a call so if we come out it's the charge that we quoted you, but I tell you what, I'll let you talk to my boss, he is very reasonable and I'll explain the situation to him" Melvin hands me the phone to speak to Mike, who is apparently, the General Manager of the company! Before I say anything, Mike says "IM NOT GONNA CHARGE YOU ANYTHING TONIGHT" literally said "We came out, we couldn't accomplish therefore, you are good, no charge" WHAT?? I was hoping for a discount, or best case a $60-80 Charge for coming out, but no charge at all??? Mike, if you are reading this sir, I want you to know what that meant for me. A local business, its General Manager working late, the night before thanksgiving and you didn't charge me even when your guy came out, spent time and gas! The first time I ever call a tow truck service. The initial service intake, I believe from Donna, was great. She was able to get me connected to a two truck driver within an hour. Chris - the tow truck driver was very understanding and patient. He explained what he was doing and his quality of service was amazing. I have never been so satisfied with customer service! Their answer was that they are not able to even though I scheduled this appointment. I wish I had more than 5 stars to give. The team at Cap City Towing are incredibly professional, and beyond that, truly care about helping their customers. My car broke down in the left turn lane on Sunrise today. Unable to restart it, responding RCPD officers blocked traffic behind me and called Capitol City Towing to tow my car. When James, my tow truck driver arrived, the officer told him to take me and the car to any shop of my choice. But, after the officer left, James looked at the tow paperwork he was handed and discovered that the officer declared that my car must be impounded - using a code usually given for abandoned cars - for absolutely no reason. This would have cost me a ton of time, half a day, and over $500 extra. Instead of impounding my car, James and the Cap City Towing dispatch immediately declared that this was just not fair. James drove me to the police station to argue my case with admin, and left my car on the truck so I wouldn't be charge a drop fee or a new tow fee when my car invariably needs to get to the shop. 30 minutes after talking to RCPD, the impound order was lifted and I was allowed to take the car to a shop, which they did safely and professionally. And here's the kicker. In addition to saving me a drop fee, impound fee, and cost of a second tow, they waived the cost of a ton of the time they spent helping me, because they felt it was the right thing to do. I cannot recommend them enough. If you ever need a tow from people that truly do the right thing, call Cap City Towing. You won't regret it. read more

Patient, informative man. Said that the original Tesla tire will be dropped off at the rocklin Tesla center by this morning. I called Tesla this afternoon and it still hadn't arrived. Called again this evening, still no tire. I wish the guy from capitol city had kept his word. Or not given it in the first place. I want to give a shout-out to two awesome employees of Capitol City Towing: Jerome and Reana!!! My husband and I had taken our dogs to the dog park and when we were ready to leave our truck would not start. When we got the estimated time of arrival for our tow, we noticed that the park may be closed by that time. This dog park is a dawn to dusk park, so my husband called Reana and explained our situation. Reana was awesome in getting a hold of the tow driver and calling us back to let us know he was on his way!!! Jerome called us when he was about 5 minutes away to let us know he was close. Jerome couldn't have been more awesome with getting our truck loaded up and especially when we got home. Jerome worked diligently to see if he could get our truck unloaded into our carport. This was no easy feat but he refused to give up..LOL. We did end up having to manually push the truck into the carport and it was Jerome who took the bulk of the weight. Today, I was having some issues with my car that had actually started the previous night. It appears my battery has died (I don't know the exact problem yet). I had received a battery jump from my boyfriend and was going down Elk Grove Blvd. to go purchase a new battery when everything in my car shut off including the engine. This is one of those situations when you act totally on instinct and there isn't time to rationalize what is going on. I had just enough juice to get me in a turning lane that wasn't extremely busy. Dead...the car was totally dead and in the middle of a hot day this wasn't looking good at all. Since I was in an awkward location I decided to call CSAA and have them get me a tow truck. It didn't take long for my knight in shining armor to come rescue me (maybe 10 minutes from the time of the call). Oh, my boyfriend came on the scene too : ) He (Jason?) immediately got to work on moving my car to a safe location and offered up some options for me when deciding where to tow the car. He was nothing but friendly and professional the entire time. We opted to tow the car to our house which was 6 miles away. Just one mile over what my CSAA coverage allows. It only cost me $15 for that extra mile. I am very appreciative for the great service I received today and if ever given a choice of companies in the future, I would gladly chose Capitol City Automotive! read more
