I have had two repairs done at Capital Collision this year. The only delays I experienced were a few weeks waiting on Toyota parts. One repair was covered by Progressive, the liable driver's carrier. They work seamlessly with Capital. The other repair of a windshield was completely covered by Toyota MultiShield, which is well worth it. Again, seamless with Capital. I experienced none of the negatives cited in other reviews. read more

Not only did I notice the lack of a warm welcome, but even basic amenities such as water or a cup of coffee were nonexistent. The office staff, content behind their counter, made no effort to engage or assist customers beyond their designated areas. This initial impression set the tone for the numerous missteps and failures that followed. In August, I found myself involved in a collision caused by a reckless driver. Despite my insurance company, Geico, finding me not liable within the first 12 hours, the handling of my case quickly spiraled into a nightmarish ordeal when I reached out to Capital Collision Center for support. After receiving my initial estimate and setting a work date with your facility, I took the initiative to send an email inquiring about the progress of the insurance claim. Shockingly, my inquiries went unanswered, prompting me to send a total of five emails in an attempt to establish communication and seek clarity. Unfortunately, each attempt to gain information was met with a deafening silence. This radio silence persisted until last Friday, when, out of the blue, I received a rushed phone call from your receptionists (or whoever they are). It became apparent that they had misplaced all the documentation I had painstakingly provided during the initial estimate. To say that this level of incompetence was disconcerting would be an understatement. Despite my mounting frustrations, I held out hope that we could salvage the situation and move forward. However, it was during this chaotic phone conversation that my wife inadvertently pointed out a critical error. The appointment date, which we believed was scheduled for 11/23/23, in your own handwriting, was, in fact, on a Sunday. It was at that moment that the truth was revealed--the appointment had been mistakenly scheduled for today, Monday. Astonishingly, your team chose to wait until just minutes before our appointment to inquire about crucial insurance details, liability, and the amount I would be responsible for. Given the circumstances, it would be utterly irrational for anyone to entrust their vehicle to your care. To do so would be akin to signing an open check without any assurance of accountability or transparency. Consequently, I informed the gentleman on the phone that I would contact my insurance company on Monday to discuss the matter further. Disappointingly, he sent two emails on Saturday morning that failed to address the core issues, and subsequently failed to respond to any further communication attempts throughout the weekend. To add insult to injury, in a subsequent email, the same gentleman attempted to shift blame onto us, citing a miscommunication regarding the insurance provider's details. Not only was this response unprofessional, but it demonstrated a complete lack of accountability for your team's actions. Furthermore, he insinuated that, due to this miscommunication, your facility would be unwilling to conduct business with us, ostensibly to avoid any potential problems in the future. The ramifications of this entire ordeal are dire. What was initially anticipated to be a two and a half month process to repair our vehicle has now been extended to nearly six months due to the fact that we must start the entire process from scratch. This immense delay and the subsequent inconvenience merely compound the already overwhelming frustrations caused by your establishment's incompetence. It is unfathomable that your organization refuses to acknowledge any responsibility for the numerous shortcomings and delays that have plagued this entire experience. Instead of seeking resolution and providing exemplary customer service, your team has chosen to place the blame squarely on the customer, while responding with unprofessionalism and a complete lack of accountability. In light of these egregious experiences, I implore you to critically reevaluate the manner in which Capital Collision Center conducts its business. It is imperative that you promptly address the glaring communication breakdowns, improve responsiveness, and instill a sense of accountability and professionalism within your team. Customers should not endure the frustrations and disappointments I have faced throughout this arduous process. The sense of Bad Blood was in the air which was extremely odd. Very unprofessional. Did a poor job, damaged my car blaming me for the car that took more than two weeks longer, stay away

The people who work at the Capitol Auto Group Collision Center, were so nice and patient with my problem. I was driving my girlfriend's car there looking to see what could be done about some door damages as the result of car doors being opened on her driver's side door. There was red and blue paint plus damage to her door's protective strip. It was ugly, the damages that people do to other people's cars! The manager himself buffed out all of the paint scratches and painted over the damaged areas needing touching up all around the whole car! He made the damaged areas look like new! When I tried to pay them, they wouldn't except my money, just chalked it up to "Taking Care of our customers." What incredibly great service! I highly recommend this auto body shop for all repairs. Maira Castro was a Godsend & helped us quickly, professionally, & was very pleasant to deal with. We were so frustrated with the company that we were initially dealing with, as it had already been a week with our back window being shattered in our truck, and they still couldn't seem to find a new window. It only took Maira literally 5 minutes & we had an appointment scheduled for our replacement window. I wish there was a spot to give zero stars because that's exactly what this place deserves. Apparently you can't leave your vehicles outside anymore because if a bird poops on them, the paint will fall off your vehicle. At least that's what the idiot at this place tried to tell me why my paint was coming off my truck brand new 2022 truck and this idiots excuse was you must've left it outside and let some bird poop sit on it and it etched your paint. This place is a joke. The guy with the blond hair in the beard is a complete moron. Hope you don't get him because he has no idea what he's talking about. This place is the biggest joke of any place I've ever been. So beware apparently paint on a vehicle cannot be exposed to elements outside anymore because it will ruin your paint Less than a year. Absolute sham! I got in a car accident last year and the insurance company sent me here. This company made agreements in writing and still failed to uphold them. I continued to make calls and went back multiple times for 2 months after everything was supposedly fixed and made the mistake of finally getting so frustrated that I gave up entirely. All I got were empty words or outright ignored. They knew absolutely nothing when I asked questions too. This business should be shut down; incredibly disgusting customer service and failed job and agreements. read more

The people at Capitol Collision were terrific.Throughout the entire repair process they communicated every couple of days on the progress. They went above and beyond to fix everything, even a dent in my back bumper that was extra. They were super nice, professional and did a great job. I feel like I have a new car! read more

If you are OK with not having a car for 3 and a half weeks, take your car here. I only had a small dent on drivers door and some scratches from a hit and run. When I first took it in to them, they said, "the other shops will take 2 weeks plus to have the car done, we will only take 4 days". So I called after not hearing anything on the fourth day, and they said it would be ready next week. So I call the next week, and they tell me yet again it is going to be another week. Keep in mind, this is over the holidays so I had to borrow multiple family cars when I could. Granted, they do offer a loaner car, but my husband and I are only 20 so we could not get one. Which is understandable, but is still frustrating. Then 3 and a half weeks later when I am able to pick up the car, the tire pressure light is on and they are telling me they didn't have time to fix it so I have to take it to capitol. They had 3 weeks to fix it!! Those were my major problems with them, but on the minor side my car was all dirty and gas was empty. Whenever I've taken my car to get repaired in the past, they've filled up my tank, vacuumed it and washed it. The only reason I gave this two stars is because they did seem to do a good job. Looks like a brand new car when I got around to washing it. They were very friendly, but horrible with communication and setting expectations. Will not be using capitol collision again. read more
