That Capri Bar & Grill is NOT suitably set up for karaoke!! It's used to be dim & relaxed, like the lounges at Don Jose. Now they got the bright lights & bright giant flatscreens! The pool tables used to be at the back of the bar, now it's at the front as soon as you walk in the door! There used to be a roomy space for the karaoke set-up w/the front of the screen where you can sing, now it's a small boxed-in space where KJ Jelly could hardly move, you have no space to sing so you're stuck either singing to the side of the pool tables or at your table where you're sitting! The only good review I could say is that their food was good! I give it at least 4 stars! Surprisingly good for bar food! Their beef stroganoff was very good & Jack finished all his fish n chips! Other than that I wouldn't come back here for the karaoke unless they improved the setup! read more

This place has always been a step above any other bar that serves food. The recent remodel looks great and the TV's are plenty and placed just right to enjoy your favorite game. I was tended by Caitlin and the service was just so much better than any other place. She's attentive and makes you feel welcome even though she's so busy. What blew me away last week was the food. This is a local dive bar that has recently been renovated by fairly new owners. The new look is ok. It is always manned by only one bartender who usually seems to be partying with the patrons, but manages to get to everyone and get the orders right. She pours a strong drink, although we've noticed not quite as strong lately. The menu seems to have changed a bit and although still reasonable, prices have gone up, but the food here is always good! We love the burger, spaghetti, club sandwich, steak, and the blue cheese dressing on their salad. You do have to be patient with the one person working, but food, drinks and people watching are great! read more

Once again Greg has manage to destroy a restaurant/bar. He destroyed his family's 32+ year business, Pancho's. Now he has trashed Capri Bar & Grill into a worthless place to go. What was once a GREAT Orange dive bar is now a place with poor quality food, worse service, horrible bartenders, an unhappy Pancho's crowd with watered down drinks. I been to many bars in my day. Most of the time I just go to where is closest or cheapest. I recently went to this bar with a friend bc he has a favorite bartender here , Edith. I totally understand why he makes the slightly longer drive to come here, the service that Edith provides is what sets this bar apart from all of the dive bars I've seen in oc. She's attentive, sweet, hard working, but also just a beautiful person and a pleasure to be around . She makes me feel good when I get here, and I honestly think she's underrated especially bc of how hard I see her helping everyone else at this place with the same energy. Not many like her come through places like this, but man I'm glad she did. Also, I really love the food here. I tried the wings and was surprised at how big they were. Super tasty. This used to be a great local place to grab a drink at a fair price, watch football and run into cool people. Sadly, new ownership has come in. With him has come in a whole different, low class crowd that has pushed all the regular patrons out. Bartending staff has changed as well, and not necessarily for the better. Food is still solid. The guys working their butts off in the kitchen are as good as they always were but I have sadly seen their smiles disappear. Time to find a new place. Not that the new owner cares. New cooks, Soo disappointing!!! Met a client here (my recommendation based on past experience) last weekend. He ordered a hot sandwich and I ordered a cob salad. They brought his meal (onions rings barley light golden) at least 25 mins before bringing salad (he actually had to go check on the order). Being a gentleman he refused to eat until mine came. We told waitress his meal was now very cold- no response until we said we're leaving then it was "I can get the manager"... unbelievable as the food here use to be so good. My salad looked like a salad w sliced chicken, not a cob, but we came to have a meal together not to watch each other eat, which it seems they thought this was okay. I have been back to Capri a few times since the last review. It has been totally remodeled and it looks great. Service was good. Two bartenders on board now which helps a lot. It has lots of TVs that work with a great sound system. Will be great for football this season. read more

Came in to this bar for pool league on 4/12/23. Required to keep a card on file for a tab so I gave the bartender my card. My girlfriend closed out the tab and asked to use her card. Her card was charged for the amount of $39.10. The bartender gave both her card and my card back. When we got home, I realized the bartender not only charged my girlfriend's card but also MY card for $40 even (not even the amount of the tab, which was $39.10). I called the bar the next day and the lady said I needed to come into the bar to settle the issue. My girlfriend and I don't live close by so we came in on Sunday and spoke to the bartender. The bar was super busy and she said there was nothing she could do about it and that we would need to leave our phone number for someone to call. We drove all the way to the bar, wasting gas when all we needed to do was talk to someone on the phone?!! We tried that already. This is very inconvenient as we are already out money and gas and now we have to wait for someone to call us back. Don't go here, don't trust them with your card, and if mistakes are made, clearly they aren't willing to help solve them. Disappointing. read more

Capri is about as divey of a dive bar that you can get. The crowd is almost entirely 40+ and locals. The new bar tenders are wonderful, and the drinks are super cheap and VERY strong, which keeps me coming back. It's a great place to catch up with friends during the week because the place is empty and quiet, and pool is only $.50 read more

Taco Tuesdays for the prime rib tacos. DELICIOUS! Available soft or crunchy, I highly suggest getting them crunchy. They offer other foods as well, though I go for the tacos. Be warned though, it is a dive bar and it's a "good ol' boys" club. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. The last two experiences I had here were absolutely terrible (one of which was after the "remodel") I usually come in on Sundays which I understand to be busy but the owners/managers set the place up for failure by understaffing. The cook they had that day had absolutely no clue what he was doing. There were four of us two people ordered the Texas egg rolls, a breakfast sandwich, a basic egg plate and pork chop and eggs. Somehow only one of the two orders of egg rolls came out first, then awhile later the breakfast sandwich, then later the basic egg and potatoes plate, then after an hour they finally came to tell me after previously trying to assure me they were working on it that the cook actually didn't know how to cut my pork chop (mind you, we never got our 2 order of egg rolls either). The manager was seen going in the kitchen and serving himself and the woman and child that he was with meanwhile the paying customers were being neglected. The rest of my group was just as annoyed as I was by this point. We closed out our bill asked for a refund because we couldn't enjoy our meal and then they also tried to charge me for an extra seltzer I didn't have. Fast forward to the last and final time I will be going to Capri, a similar scenario, food took way too long, they were horribly understaffed and I can empathize with their lack of enthusiasm because if my employers treated me like this I would have walked out long ago. There was one girl that day that looked like she rolled out of bed wearing a letterman jacket of sorts and looked so strung out, talking to her was a joke she just stared with her mouth open walking around like a zombie. Needless to say we won't be going back there, there are plenty of better dives to get a drink in Orange. read more

I went with friends for my first time yesterday. When I wrote down the TIP the bartender punched in the information. Later that night I saw on my bank account that the bartender gave herself a $92 TIP. Immediately I called the bar and it was the same bartender that answered. After I told her everything I asked her why the TIP was $92? Her response "I don't remember doing that ". First thing the next morning I called them again. This time a different bartender answered so I explained everything and demanded to talk with a manager. Her response "we don't have a manager". The bartender SUPPOSEDLY took my name and number and I just MIGHT get a call back from a manager. If this is how they run their business then I suggest people avoid that bar!!! read more

You go up to the bar to ask to order drinks, they ignore you. 15 minutes and she still hasn't come out to ask for our drink order or food. Oh, and we had to go up and ask for our menu.
