This is the stress tear that appears in my new leather sofa 2 months after I bought it. Caprice did nothing about it.

Buyer Beware. Ordered a modern black leather sofa from them. Great price: $1,000. They delivered it. It looked great. Thought I got the deal of the century! Then... within 2 months... stress tears started appearing from where people would sit. WITHIN 2 MONTHS. I called Caprice. They said send pictures. I did. I kept following up with them over several weeks. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS OR E-MAILS. Eventually, I just gave up. I paid an independent leather repair person to come and fix it. She said the leather used to make this sofa is defective leather and should never be used to cover a sofa. She said the leather is so thin because they split the leather multiple times to stretch a single hide. Now... every couple of months... new stress tears open up and I have to fix them. I know the furniture looks great online but it's inferior stuff that Caprice will NEVER stand behind 2 months after you purchase it. Pay more and buy it from a company/showroom with a warranty.

Bought one of the dark wood bed frames about a year ago for about $300. Picked it up in an SUV and assembled it in 30-40 min.

After researching the labor-intensive skill and high quality of wool that goes into making an heirloom hand-knotted all-wool rug, I knew I had to see and touch the rug in person in order to buy. I don't believe you can really love a rug without visiting it in person and smelling and touching it. A truly great rug is expensive because it costs something to have deeply skilled hands working with gorgeous sheep wool to weave it. You are meant to shampoo it professionally* and use it for life. An heirloom rug is the antithesis of disposability culture. (*If you need the best rug/carpet cleaner in Los Angeles, look at my Yelp review for Gary at CLEAN TOUCH CARPET CLEANING. I have used Gary to clean these rugs for years.) My first "grown up" hand-knotted wool rug purchase was from Rug Warehouse in 2018, sold to me by Antonio, a long-standing employee with a fantastic aesthetic eye. That rug was expensive but worth every penny, because I could smell the lanolin from its high-quality Tibetan Wool for years after, and it resisted stains like magic (including a bowl of red spicy ramen I spilled). Good wool from hardy sheep raised in high-altitude, cold climates has higher lanolin content and does not absorb stains -- I got the ramen stain out simply by dabbing with soapy water. In 2025 when I needed a second large rug, I went back to Rug Warehouse and found another Tibetan Wool rug of my dreams, in the same "Phoenix Weave" (a fat, thick knot) as my first. Antonio was working again that day again, and he actually remembered the first rug he had sold me 7 years earlier. He arranged for delivery same-day -- I had the new rug in my home, expertly delivered and installed with precision by their wonderful employees, within 1 hour of my leaving the store. Rug Warehouse has a long-standing team of loyal employees who have worked there for many years. Antonio is a fantastic rug advisor who can direct you to various designs, and their excellent delivery team can do a "rug show" at your home so you can see different rugs in your lighting before choosing. I love the product here, but frankly I also love the in-person buying experience. In an age where you can look at anything through a computer screen, nothing beats going to a reputable local rug store with a curated selection of beautiful heirloom rugs, and choosing the one you love in person.
