It's been quite a long time since I've been to this Chopt location but I came here recently with family for lunch. The inside is quite large with lots of seating and the staff were friendly. I got their Salmon Avocado with cauliflower rice. It was a good sized portion and everything was fresh. There were a few tables outside that we sat at as it was nice out. This was my first time here and I can't wait to return! It's a small establishment with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. The bathroom is hidden around the corner to the left of the take out order counter. (It took me a second to find it.) I ordered one of the specials for July - the Summer Corn Caesar Salad. It was delicious!!! It was also super easy to substitute the jalapeños with cucumber. The guy making my salad was very patient and kind as I decided. Okay, I used to go to this place a lot, but the people working here seem to not care about the customers. They ignore you if they are doing something else. No acknowledgement that you are physically present, standing, waiting... in one instance, they seemed to be working on a call in order, but look down, look away, ignore until they are ready to "deal with you" . The last time I came, I stood there for quite some time, a person was there, doing something else, no acknowledgement that I existed wait, wait, wait... then they look up, look at me, and walk into the back, no words, no, I'll be right back... so I left... I hate this because I like salads and want a place to go, but being ignored or looked at as if I'm disrupting their non-service... I have other places that can use my money. So many restaurants give the vibe that they are happy you are there, "...how can I serve you...", this is not one of them. Customer service, kindness, friendliness, that's what's missing. Chopt is a great way to put something nutritional and delicious in your gut. They have a huge wall of lettuce and prepped topping on the counter. I got the classic Cobb and a cup of the Mexican chicken soup. The ingredients were fresh, and the soup was very tasty - it had a hint of spice afterward that paired well with the creamy buttermilk ranch dressing from my salad. I gave this 4 stars because the menu was a little confusing to understand and there weren't size options. it's all or nothing, so I had to order a large salad even though I wanted a smaller portion. read more

This was my first time visiting Chopt, with the exception of them not having any indoor seating due to COVID-19 this was an outstanding meal. I had the crispy chicken ranch salad with chimichurri ranch dressing. For those not familiar with Chpt as I was, the crispy chicken ranch salad consist of a Chopt's special blend of lettuce, Panko fried chicken, celery, little spicy peppers, and pepper jack cheese. The dressing is a ranch and chimichurri sauce marriage that leaves you wanting more. I was pleasantly surprised the ingredients working well together, not being a huge salad fan (you wouldn't know it from looking at the bowl) it was served chilled and I left the bowl empty. If you haven't eaten here give it a shot they have a variety of options and tons of ingredients and again the salad was super fresh and cold and the sauce was awesome. read more

Staff was severely sloppy!! Didn't pay attention to any details. Guy almost made me the wrong salad as I'm standing directly in front of him telling him what not to do as it wasn't correct to my order. My salad was inedible as they put so much dressing on it, It's now soupy. I loved this franchise down south but this has been a HUGE FAIL here at this location. I have been waiting for Chopt to open for months! There are no great spots to grab a good salad I was spoiled by Sweetgreen in Baltimore. Conceptually it is the same as a Sweetgreen with salads or warm bowls with fresh ingredients plus a few soup options. The "local" ingredients were East coast but not local. There is very loud reggae music playing, though some songs had a jazzy feel to them, confusing. We came in at almost 7pm on a Saturday and had no line, by the time we left (7:45) the line was considerable. Lots of menu choices to please any salad fan: classics like Caesar and Cobb and then seasonal like the Harvest. I grabbed a harvest bowl (quinoa, kale, pumpkin seeds, Brussels, sweet potato, chicken and white vinaigrette) a bowl is a good size portion. I substituted apples for Brussels and added goat cheese (+.79) making my bowl an $11 meal. When I got up to order they had run out of the warm grains so I just left my order with the super friendly person behind the counter and she brought my order out about 10 minutes later. Hubs got a Cobb salad and liked it a lot. "It was everything I wanted it to be which was a Cobb salad." He said next time he would try it with the Mexican goddess dressing. If I'm being picky and forced to choose between sweetgreen and Chopt I'm giving sweetgreen the edge for a slightly larger portion, more locally sourced ingredients, more drink options and complimentary warm bread. Love the idea. Love the dining in design. Love the options. Don't love the prices. Oof! I would definately visit this place more often if it was affordable but rather its in the budget for "go to places on special occasions". I really like all of the different options they have for when you want to create your own salad, but beware it comes at a cost. In both occasions I been to this location (months span inbetween each visit), I've gotten the classic cobb like salad with ranch. Each salad is also served with a slice of bread which is think is locally sourced. If I recall correctly, many of their products are locally sourced. The Annapolis location seems to mainly operate on online/doordash/grubhub type of orders. When we arrived to dine in, we ended up waiting quite a bit to give our orders because they had so many online orders to complete. That's kinds of a bummer but understandable. The Annapolis location dine in area is spacious and has lots of natural light. It was clean. Again, I would go back but because of the price it's not a place that would be in a regular rotation. read more

The sullen girl who helped me at the counter, without saying anything, made it excruciatingly clear that my asking for the Chinese Bowl with a few changes (greens instead of rice and no wontons) annoyed her. At one point I apologized for the changes and she just ignored me. When I paid, she just silently handed me my change... no "thank you" or "enjoy your salad" The bowl, while good, left me feeling a little cheated. For just under $14, the paper bowl was only about half filled. There was not nearly enough dressing, but given how unfriendly she was, I didn't ask for more. I won't bother going back. read more

I doordashed Chopt yesterday for lunch and I will definitely be ordering again! The portions are very large so don't worry about not getting full off of salad. My meal was a spinach, kale, romaine, and cabbage salad with grilled chicken, parmesan cheese, roasted sweet potato, roasted brussel sprouts, beets, and creamy lemon herb dressing. It was quite tasty although there was too much dressing for my liking. It pooled at the bottom. In the future I will ask for the dressing on the side instead of mixed in. My order was filled very quickly and it was still very cold when it got to me. Overall, great experience and reasonable price. I will be back for more! read more

This place has amazing salads, and so many options, which is something I love. Even the healthier options I've tried taste great and leave me feeling well fed. They do a great job with the protein too. The meat is flavored well and it's not the lame dried out prepackaged stuff you see on your typical grocery store salad. Annapolis isn't known for very many healthy fast places to eat which is why I was so excited about this opening. A few things to note - there is (so far) nothing fast about this place. There were only about 7 people in front of me and four people working behind the counter and it took me almost 15 min to get my order complete. I think they should give the workers a 5-hour energy when they come in to get them moving a little faster - it kind of felt like that scene in that kids movie where the Sloth was the MVA check out person. It also appeared they were focusing on call-in or to-go orders which may have led to the wait inside. The food was a 10. So glad we have this in Annapolis. Side Note: they can easily make a healthy salad severely unhealthy with crazy amount of dressing they put on. I'm a dressing-less person but watching how much dressing they put on almost made me sick. Another side note: July 12, 2020.
