And waited in the store for an additional 15 min. Mind you we placed the order 15 min prior to arrival. This has happened on multiple occasions. We paid for our food and still had to wait. I love Capriotti's, although I've only have a few of their sandwiches. They have a catering pack, I've had several. But when I go, 99% of the time I'm getting The Bobbie. Yes it's that amazing. Capriotti's locations are known for good food. Boulder City Location (not Railroad Pass): Employees are helpful when I've visited. BUT THIS LOCATION IS FILTHY, NOT MAINTAINED, STARTING AT THE ENTRANCE. It was like this when I first visited 3 years ago. I leave grossed out and somehow return every 6 months. Today: Years of oily dripped food stain the entry concrete. There's no "open" sign visible and windows tinted + no posted hours means I must touch the yucky looking door to find out if it's locked in the late morning hours. The business hours digits have peeled off to illegible, and doors and window graphics look dirty and faded. Side/back door also is ick. Inside conditions were better than the entry, but in late morning with an empty store none of the tables look like they're wiped down and the floor under the tables looks the same. My food tasted fine but it's clear whoever owns this location doesn't have a budget for power washing or keeping the outside nice or functional. It reflects poorly on the food and service when a place looks gross. Show your business and our community some love, would you? read more

This place was really good. I don't know why there was so many poor reviews but the sandwiches are great. My wife, two teen kids and I picked up four sandwiches (chicken parmigiana, cheese steak, turkey and vegetarian) on the way to rent a boat at Lake Mead and they were delicious. The sandwiches are made in a timely manner; however the young servers could be more attentive, alert and enthusiastic. It is a good place if passing by the town and in need of something to eat at an affordable price in a convenient location. Sadly, unlike other Capriotti's, this one is not the best but it is a clean place and has tables to eat. Make sure you let them know if you want toasted bred and what kind of bred because most times they forget to ask. The location usually has nice music. read more

I love Capriotti's sandwiches and especially appreciate that they offer vegetarian meats. Their sandwiches, though expensive, are LARGE. The medium is big enough for two meals. I give this location three stars for several reasons: --The restaurant was somewhat dirty when I arrived including lots of lettuce littering the kitchen. When I started taking pictures, they started sweeping. --Normally, they are not nice, but this time I was greeted with a "Welcome to Capriotti's." The new older man working there seems quite nice, but the older woman who's been there for years still needs work on her customer service skills. She is robotic when she rings up my orders (sometimes with a scowl). --The sandwich ingredients are much skimpier at this Capriotti's than at other locations. read more

This evening I tried to call in a take-out order, but no one would answer the phone. Repeatedly tried for 15 minutes without success. Finely a young woman picked up and I said in a surprised voice, "You are open!" She gave a terse reply, "Yes, we too busy to answer the phone!" I replied, "Then you're probably too busy to take my order", hung up and called another restaurant. Their food is good, but this store is being run by basically unsupervised teenagers! This is not the first problem I've had here, again with inexperienced, poorly supervised staff. The point is management needs to take charge, train their staff and possibly upgrade their phone system. I'm sure they'd like me to order on line; however, if their staff cannot handle a telephone, I certainly wouldn't trust them with a computer! read more

They will mess up your take out order 100% of the time. Been there once a month for the last year and I'm to the point where I don't even wanna order because they'll either completely forget to put your order in, give you someone else's order, or just totally ruin it. Make sure you check it before you leave. We even tip well and they still somehow just don't know whats going on. Plz capriottis you can be so good but when we ask for sweet peppers and you give us the hottest peppers in the world or give us cheese when we tell you we are allergic... IDK lol. read more

I have not been to this location for over 6 months and I am sad to say it is NOT as it was . I had to dig out the paper wrapper that was buried in the cheese in the middle of the sandwich, my request for marinara sauce was ignored, the steak and peppers were not chopped and blended like it is supposed to be. So.. this was my very first experience with Capriotti's ever. And I gotta say.. I'm not very happy about it. I walked in and saw 2 employees behind the counter and neither of them even looked up, let alone said hi. No acknowledgement whatsoever. Mind you, they were not helping any customers. And it was not busy. The only 2 other customers were almost done eating. After about a minute, the guy I was standing in front of finally looked up at me. I told him the order for (my name), he goes and gets it. Hands it to me. And I'm checking it out before I go and notice the salad dressing is about to bust open so I ask for a new one and the girl gives me suchhhhh an attitude! Worst customer experience I've encountered in a long time. Anyway, I work in Boulder City so I'm here every day. I've always enjoyed Capriotti Italian and Cheese steak sandwiches. Over the past few years the prices have gone up and understandable so. However today I purchased a medium Italian and when handed the completed sandwich, I thought maybe it was a small. Although the quality of the ingredients were good the roll seems to have shrunk in length and circumference. Inside was a couple of thin slices of meat. Being from Philadelphia I'm used to good sandwiches and Capriotti's had a fairly decent sandwich. I also note that the ambient temperature in the store was rather warm. If I was dining in it would be to warm for me here in Boulder City. I doubt whether this was a one off event and most likely will cause me to look elsewhere for a good sandwich. I must add that the service has always been good and the staff is friendly. read more

I'm not sure what possessed me but I stopped here and tried my luck with a hot Italian...rowr. OK it was actually a grilled Italian but didn't that sound much more interesting? So the grilled Italian sandwich is a bunch of meat (Genoa Salami, Capacolla, Prosciutini) grilled and then folded onto a hoagie roll (Grinder for those of you from New England) with melted cheese, lettuce and other stuff. I added grilled peppers and onions. This is a heavy and filling sandwich. Seriously. And I ordered the small 7". I was still full 4 hours later. It was a good sandwich and I would try Capriotti's again based on it although next time I will get something lighter like a grilled chicken or something. I discovered when I went to write this review that Capriotti's is a chain with 25 or so locations. The service and quality I received at this location did not have a chain feel and I won't hold the fact that they are a chain against them...yet. read more

We stopped here because we were looking for a sandwich, and we saw the great reviews here. Being on vacation, sometimes you just need something simple and satisfying - like a sandwich. The reviews were on point - we had the Cole Turkey and it was a great sandwich. Not only was the turkey fresh and tasty, but the cole slaw was the best I have ever had. The sandwich was so good, we actually stopped there again on our way back from Arizona. We wanted to try the similar version with roast beef, but they were out of it, so we had the same Cole Turkey again. It was as delicious as the first time. While the sandwiches made us come back again, the wonderful, friendly and welcoming folks who work there will be the reason we would visit again and again when and if we are in the area. My friend that lives in Vegas recommended Capriotti's for their great sandwiches and "local" vibe. So when we found out they have a branch in Boulder City (and there's absolutely nothing between the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon South Rim besides gas stations/rest stops), we knew we had to stop by and grab sandwiches. I picked a cold sandwich since it would be sitting in the car (at ~40 degrees) for most of the day. When we decided to eat (probably 4-5 hours after we brought them), it was still good. The bread is soft and the turkey tasted like real turkey (and not the fake kind some delis have). It was a good on-the-go meal and their packaging makes it super easy to eat in a moving car. The guys ended up getting their Thanksgiving dinner style sandwich, which they also ate cold. I don't think they complained - but they were also probably just super hungry! Stopped in the sandwich shop at 8:45 Capriotti's Boulder City by Railroad Pass.. we attempted to order only to be told that the only thing we can get will be cold sandwiches or Salad the grill is closed.. we asked why is the grill closed it's not even 9pm,,, she continued to take her ear and said sir do you want a salad or sandwich,, completely ignored my question.. we didn't want the ear Jam so we went and ate at Railroad Pass.. so I can't give more than one star for this experience read more

Rude employees who always act like you're inconveniencing them just by walking in the door. Orders take a long time even if nobody else is there, half the time they're wrong. Called to phone in our order at 5:30pm yesterday and Miranda answered. I told her we had a coupon for a free small sub from the local blood drive and another two for one small sub from the Albertson's in their parking lot we'd like to use. She said fine and took our order. My wife went down to pick up our order and the "manager" Jet (he said like the airplane) had the sandwiches made but said she could only use one coupon per visit. He told her that the girl was wrong for what she told us, but wouldn't honor her mistake. She let him keep the sandwiches, especially since he was abrupt and rude to my wife and told her sarcastically to have a nice day and walked away. I have never been on their Yelp site, but understand now how over half (11 out of 20) of the recent reviews are ONE STARS!!!! Most of the one stars are for service and rudeness. Great sandwich shops don't receive near this many one stars, there has to be a reason. Not a fan and won't be back. Service was slow with only two customers, including us. They use pulled turkey for the turkey sub. A step up from sliced deli meat but it was as dry as the desert around us. And, unfortunately, it had bones in it that nearly choked my little one. I am a resident of Boulder City and have never been here. For lunch last week I ordered a veggie cheese steak which took 35 min to make. I took it with me as I was running late for work, placed $2 in the tip jar, and when I opened it, everything except the bread was burned, tough, and inedible. Not what I expect for a $10 sandwich plus a $2 tip. I probably won't be back unless they make good on my poor first experience.
