I've been trying to do a review for a month now. I've been here 10 times. And each time I eat , get ready for a review somehow it's a challenge with the new favorites I want to talk about. Every item I've ordered is better than the rest. Today, for example, ordering breakfast potatoes, they were not greasy, nor overly seasoned and not overly crispy as they can be at other places when they sit there all morning.... These are crispy but still soft inside. Service is amazing. All severs have a wonderful way to be welcoming and truly menu experts. Jamie is the main person here that has her passion on greeting you , menu items, checking on your steak and giving a warm hug thanking you for returning. Now that I find how community focused they are for Boulder City, I'm more aware that is why us locals have been returning. Love your town - we will love you back! Now, you may be thinking what does the historic hotel have to do with Hawaiian food ? Well, please do your history deep dive. This colonial style built building matches this culture and food perfectly even here in the desert. The good: pet friendly!! Nice to see well behaved dogs hanging out with their owners. Staff was superb. Our server was pleasant, helpful and fast. A+ here The chips that came with my fish and chips were excellent. Was told there home made. Tasty and crispy. Well seasoned The creme brulee, which were also homemade, was very smooth with perfect consistency. The crust was thick. I didn't mind because I have a sweet tooth and enjoy crunchy texture. That said, I think for most people it would direct from the overall experience. The not so great: my fish in the fish and chips. The fish itself was good quality, but I didn't think it was seasoned at all and the batter was thick. Unfortunatelly disappointing. To be fair. my family enjoyed their chicken burger and pulled pork. This location is inside the BC museum/hotel and offers Hawaiian inspired dishes, giving a nod to Las Vegas are being considered the "9th island. The restaurant itself feels like a Time Machine to the past. Long beautiful curtain, felt booths and 1930's charm. Load of interesting and appetizing dishes on their menu, I opted for a more traditional breakfast sandwich and my partner got Portuguese sausage and fried rice. All of the meat served included bacon, sausage and spam was well flavored and cooked right. Our server was kind and quick even being spread thin. Hidden gem at Boulder City. Located inside the lobby of a hotel, this restaurant makes me feel at home. The decor is Hawaiian style and the service is great! Lots of seatings and no wait. We ordered Portuguese sausage eggs and rice and the sausage was definitely close to how it is in Hawaii. Hubby ordered the kanack attack loco that had three ingredients, corn hash, patty, and Kalua Pork topped with gravy and a side of lomi salad. The food was onolicious. read more

There is a large monument signage in front of the hotel but the front entrance to the restaurant is unassuming. The interior hints at "Hawaiian". Service is friendly. We had dinner at the steakhouse 1933 in the Boulder Dam Hotel. The food is amazing. I had a filet mignon (medium) and my wife had a ribeye (medium-well). Both steaks were grilled to perfection. The sides are very generous, and the price is hard to believe (as in very reasonable compared to most steak houses in the Vegas valley). Our server was spot-on: friendly and attentive without being overbearing. She had some great recommendations regarding the side dishes. We had the opportunity to meet one of the chefs, Jamie, who was very approachable and informative. We thanked her for an excellent dinner service. read more

My husband and I had a late breakfast here today, and let me tell you we are both ready for a nap!! I had the chicken fried chicken and my husband had the Kahlua pork loco moco. No pics of the food because we thoroughly enjoyed it before we could snap a pic. But let me tell you that the biscuit that came with my meal was the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. The food has amazing flavor, only to rivaled by the excellent service we received. Thank you to Rex, Chef Chris, Hailey, and the whole crew! We will be back. I was up in BC for a veterans remembrance ceremony and was feeling hungry after the ceremony concluded. We were going to try another place but it was closed. Luckily, Hawaiian restaurant 1933 was across the street and open. It is located inside the Boulder dam Hotel off to the left hand side when you enter. The hotel is a national historical site and it looks amazing. We looked for seats and quickly found them. Our server was very friendly and helped us out very quickly. I ordered a coffee and the Hash gone loco. It uses corned beef instead of a hamburger patty for the loco moco. I am very picky about my Mac salad and I gotta say this restaurant knocked it out the park. If you are ever in BC checking out the sights make sure you stop by and grab a bite to eat. read more

To be honest, I was a little skeptical when I found out this Steakhouse by night was a new Hawaiian restaurant by day. Being born and raised in Hawai'i, I am always picky about restaurants that make "Hawaiian" food, as more and more are popping up that aren't necessarily owned and made by people from Hawai'i at all. I was looking for a delicious breakfast after my hike at the railroad tunnel trails and I am so glad I gave this place a chance because it was delicious and so worth the try! I can't say hands down authentic because I only tried one dish so far, technically. But I genuinely can't wait to be back to try more things and give the verified authentic label, I have a feeling everything will be just as good! I sat in the back and the music was just right! I recognized some classic Ekolu and was singing along to a lot of the songs lol. Good ambience. I started with the Big Island rice bowl and added the "gravy all ova." I can say the rice is the good kind! If you are from Hawai'i you know what I mean. The Portuguese sausage was chopped into the rice, a nice choice as I got a little bit of everything in each bite. Gravy was winnah, nothing was too salty but just right, which is tough considering the gravy everywhere! I ate every bit of it! My server Kenna was kind, friendly, and quick with the service! There was also another server, whose name I didn't get, that was just as sweet! I ordered my dessert, and I was thinking of coffee cake but said cinnamon roll. So when Kenna brought the giant cinnamon roll out I was excited but mentioned my mistake - I meant to order the coffee cake! Kenna didn't miss a beat and said "no worries at all! I'll get that for you!" She came out five minutes later with my coffee cake and the cinnamon roll in a to-go container, telling me I could take it home with me. Such sweet service, she didn't have to do that at all but she did and with a smile. That type of service is so rare nowadays! Can't wait to come back and try all the things! This place deserves all the customers and is worth the trip to Boulder City, especially if you live in Vegas. I already know I want to try the Kalua Sunset and the Pani Popo when I come back! A friend of ours recommended this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is inside the Boulder Dam Hotel, which is a historic site, so the restaurant has a vintage feel, but very comfortable. Our server Mikayla (not sure about spelling ) was awesome! She was very attentive and informative. Based on her recommendation, we had the Hawaiian roll with caramel pecan crunch. It was absolutely fabulous! We also had various egg dishes, including the Eggs Benedict, basic scrambled eggs with bacon and the croissant sandwich. They were all good. We will definitely be back to visit again soon. read more

After a mid-day boat cruise on Lake Mead, I decided to try this restaurant after finding it on Yelp. Little did I know that it was in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel. I went in and when ther server spotted me, she said to sit wherever I wanted. The room is very nice and it's quiet compared to where I had eaten many times before when in BC. I ordered the '33 Cuban sandwich with ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard aioli served on toasted French bread. Withina short time, my sandwich came out. All sandwiches are served with fries that are seasoned very well. The sandwich was very flavorful and was just the right size for enjoying this late lunch/early dinner. The mustard served with it was food for dipping as i ate the sandwich rather than spreading it on the inside. I asked if she has a dessert menu. They do have coffee cake. There was a sign as you enter that one should try their famous coffee cake, so why not. It was very good with lots of brown sugar on top. It was a little dry, but I assume it's made for mornings with coffee rather than at the end of lunchtime as a dessert, I already have plans to bring a friend here for lunch. I'm surew she'll enjoy the food and the surroundings of this historic hotel opened in 1933 when Hoover Dam was being built. read more

Came back for another wonderful breakfast! This time had to have my daughter try it...today we had the corned beef/eggs and the fried rice bowl . Again, the food was ONO!! Best corned beef in town! Always brings us back to the island vibes. The new decor is beautiful! Haley is the best server, so sweet, always friendly and makes us feel like family ! We found this place on a Tik Tok and it seemed interesting, especially the fact that this is a Hotel from 1933. We did make a reservation on Yelp, but it turns out we didn't need one, there is a sign as you enter the restaurant that says to seat yourself. So, love the decor, it's cute and lots of lighting by way of the many windows. We arrived at 11:00am and took advantage of both breakfast and lunch. We ordered the chicken fried chicken (fried chicken steak, buttermilk biscuit, house made country gravy and 1 side), the gravy baby (buttermilk biscuits and house made country gravy) and the Hash it Out (Corned beef hash, over a bad of potatoes with 1 side), the chicken fried chicken was a big portion and was delicious, as were the gravy and buttermilk biscuits, the buttermilk biscuits and gravy from the separate order was delicious as well, although we didn't think that the same gravy would be used for both the chicken fried chicken and biscuit order, but still glad we ordered the separate order, the gravy was super tasty, with the right consistency and right amount of sausage in it, definitely will be on our list to order again. We also ordered the Hash it Out, which turned out to be a little disappointing, the potatoes used, we're not potatoes, but tater tots, had I known that was the actual potato they referred to, I would have ordered the hash browns, the tater tots were to over cooked for me, I don't like super crunchy tots, but the corned beef hash was good, wish there was a little more of the serving and eggs were cooked perfect. Service was good and attentive, our server was I believe Hailey and she was sweet and very nice. All in all this place is a keeper and we'll be back again! read more

Absolutely incredible dinner! We had the most beautiful meal, and loved every bite! From the fresh baked rolls, to the perfectly crusted and cooked steak, to the beautifully seasoned and prepared Ahi, we are in love with this menu and the Aloha Spirit of this place. Was really hoping to try their breakfast menu but sadly it ends at 10:30. Wish they served it all day. Food took a little while to come out but was worth the wait. We ended up ordering the Caleb's Sandwich, one with bacon and the other with chorizo both were really good. Came with fries and some special sauce. Totally forgot to ask what it was but paired well with the fries. The grilled cheese with bacon and the bowl of chili were just as good too. Wow! I cannot say enough about the food here. Literally everything we ordered was 10/10. We had the Kalua dip and the Reuben sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the macaroni salad as a side. I'm usually hesitant about macaroni salad because it often tastes bland or like plastic, but the salad here is made fresh daily and you can taste the difference. Even the fries were perfect. Just kidding - my "complaint" would be that the burrito, that was approximately the size of a regulation NFL football, was served on a tiny plate - no chance of eating it without making a giant mess, so I had to ask for a second plate. The restaurant is located off the lobby of the hotel, overall nice and clean ambiance. McKenna was our server, and no matter how hard we tried we could not annoy her - she was awesome and gave us excellent service. The food was great - my giant burrito, which turned into two meals, was served with a delicious jalapeno cheese sauce which added nice spice. My wife had the Prime Rib French Dip that she devoured - she said the au jus had great flavor and you can't go wrong with steak fries. Great food great service very quaint. So why only 3 stars? There's a little old mean lady at the front of the entrance that needs to retire or remember what customer service is. As I walked in with my kids I saw the sign that said please seat yourself. Out of respect for the woman just sitting there. I confirmed that I could just have a seat and she replied "that's what the sign says...". Yikes. Time to call it lady. The waitresses here are all fantastic and the food is great. read more

Lovely little restaurant in the old part of town, in an old hotel. Street parking in a walkable area. Menu is a mix of plate lunches and American casual food. Like Loco Moco, plate lunches, burgers and musubi. Niece had chicken cutlet with sauce, almost like chicken katsu. Cousin had a sweet bread French toast and I had a Reuben sandwich. I wish I could leave this place 100 stars. This experience altered my brain! It felt like I had stepped into an old school movie or tv show & felt right at home. I am visiting BC from out of state and haven't been to eat at the Hotel for about 1.5 years. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the new restaurant, Restaurant 1933 was! The atmosphere is charming with Hoover Dam photos and antiques. The servers were attentive and happy; top- notch! I ordered fish and chips and honestly, they were some of the best I've ever had....I travel all over the world trying foods. The fish took up half my plate, was fresh, crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, and very tasty. The chips were awesomely delicious, thin potato slices done to perfection, with yummy herbs. The coleslaw was good too! I also had a side salad which was fresh and tasty. The tartar sauce, fry sauce and blue cheese dressings are all homemade and so good! I'll be back! read more

The experience of dining in the old hotel was fun. The ambience was nice. Food: They no longer have hash browns, but they were on the menu (the server informed us they were waiting on new menus). I had the chorizo omelette with the jalapeño cheese sauce, but the sauce didn't taste like jalapeño nor have any in/on it. It came with breakfast potatoes which were good. It was all tasty, but not great. We also had the cinnamon coffee cake - which was AMAZING! Service was friendly and ok. They seem to be "dialing it in" still.
