OG Loco Moco eggs over easy

Located in downtown Boulder City. Hawaiian Restaurant 1933 I have say this is the nicest Hawaiian Restaurant interior I have ever dined in with excellent service. This building was built in 1933 and operated as the Hoover Dam Hotel which still exists today it takes you back into time while enjoying Hawaiian Food or your favorite American Classic Burger. Friday & Saturday they are open until 8 Pm and the menu will change @ 4 Pm to a dinner menu. Plenty of free parking available a must try.

Hidden gem at Boulder City. Located inside the lobby of a hotel, this restaurant makes me feel at home. The decor is Hawaiian style and the service is great! Lots of seatings and no wait. We ordered Portuguese sausage eggs and rice and the sausage was definitely close to how it is in Hawaii. Hubby ordered the kanack attack loco that had three ingredients, corn hash, patty, and Kalua Pork topped with gravy and a side of lomi salad. The food was onolicious.

After visiting Hoover Dam, we decided on lunch in Boulder City and tried the Hawaiian Restaurant 1933. It is located in the Boulder Dam Hotel. There is a large monument signage in front of the hotel but the front entrance to the restaurant is unassuming. The interior hints at "Hawaiian". Service is friendly. The Chicken Burger with Fries was tasty and the fries had a cajun kick. The salad was typical. There is outdoor seating and they are pet friendly.

We had dinner at the steakhouse 1933 in the Boulder Dam Hotel. The food is amazing. I had a filet mignon (medium) and my wife had a ribeye (medium-well). Both steaks were grilled to perfection. The sides are very generous, and the price is hard to believe (as in very reasonable compared to most steak houses in the Vegas valley). Our server was spot-on: friendly and attentive without being overbearing. She had some great recommendations regarding the side dishes. We had the opportunity to meet one of the chefs, Jamie, who was very approachable and informative. We thanked her for an excellent dinner service.

    OG Loco Moco - excellent!

Lovely, classy restaurant inside the Boulder Dan Hotel. Hawaiian music in the background was nice -- not too loud. The OG loco moco was very good. The chicken fried chicken was okay, however, I didn't care for the biscuits -- wish there was more chicken. Mac salad was very good. Our server Gemma was sweet, friendly and efficient -- thank you! The hotel front desk staff right outside the restaurant entrance was also super and helpful -- thank you, Bonnie!

My husband and I had a late breakfast here today, and let me tell you we are both ready for a nap!! I had the chicken fried chicken and my husband had the Kahlua pork loco moco. No pics of the food because we thoroughly enjoyed it before we could snap a pic. But let me tell you that the biscuit that came with my meal was the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. The food has amazing flavor, only to rivaled by the excellent service we received. Thank you to Rex, Chef Chris, Hailey, and the whole crew! We will be back. Updated 2/16 We went back for breakfast this morning before leaving to go back home. I had to get another one of those biscuits! I remembered to take a picture of my meal this time..I had blueberry pancakes. They were delicious!! The batter is light, fluffy, and slightly sweet. And the portion size....wow! Go see these guys if you want a delicious meal and great service!

Best Loco moco in town. Great service. Beautiful restaurant. Came for lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Dont sleep on this place.

Giant cinnamon roll! I have big hands so this doesn't even do it justice.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical when I found out this Steakhouse by night was a new Hawaiian restaurant by day. Being born and raised in Hawai'i, I am always picky about restaurants that make "Hawaiian" food, as more and more are popping up that aren't necessarily owned and made by people from Hawai'i at all. I was looking for a delicious breakfast after my hike at the railroad tunnel trails and I am so glad I gave this place a chance because it was delicious and so worth the try! I can't say hands down authentic because I only tried one dish so far, technically. But I genuinely can't wait to be back to try more things and give the verified authentic label, I have a feeling everything will be just as good! I sat in the back and the music was just right! I recognized some classic Ekolu and was singing along to a lot of the songs lol. Good ambience. I started with the Big Island rice bowl and added the "gravy all ova." I can say the rice is the good kind! If you are from Hawai'i you know what I mean. The Portuguese sausage was chopped into the rice, a nice choice as I got a little bit of everything in each bite. Gravy was winnah, nothing was too salty but just right, which is tough considering the gravy everywhere! I ate every bit of it! My server Kenna was kind, friendly, and quick with the service! There was also another server, whose name I didn't get, that was just as sweet! I ordered my dessert, and I was thinking of coffee cake but said cinnamon roll. So when Kenna brought the giant cinnamon roll out I was excited but mentioned my mistake - I meant to order the coffee cake! Kenna didn't miss a beat and said "no worries at all! I'll get that for you!" She came out five minutes later with my coffee cake and the cinnamon roll in a to-go container, telling me I could take it home with me. Such sweet service, she didn't have to do that at all but she did and with a smile. That type of service is so rare nowadays! Can't wait to come back and try all the things! This place deserves all the customers and is worth the trip to Boulder City, especially if you live in Vegas. I already know I want to try the Kalua Sunset and the Pani Popo when I come back! LOL.

I was up in BC for a veterans remembrance ceremony and was feeling hungry after the ceremony concluded. We were going to try another place but it was closed. Luckily, Hawaiian restaurant 1933 was across the street and open. It is located inside the Boulder dam Hotel off to the left hand side when you enter. The hotel is a national historical site and it looks amazing. We looked for seats and quickly found them. Our server was very friendly and helped us out very quickly. I ordered a coffee and the Hash gone loco. It uses corned beef instead of a hamburger patty for the loco moco. I am very picky about my Mac salad and I gotta say this restaurant knocked it out the park. If you are ever in BC checking out the sights make sure you stop by and grab a bite to eat.

A friend of ours recommended this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is inside the Boulder Dam Hotel, which is a historic site, so the restaurant has a vintage feel, but very comfortable. Our server Mikayla (not sure about spelling ) was awesome! She was very attentive and informative. Based on her recommendation, we had the Hawaiian roll with caramel pecan crunch. It was absolutely fabulous! We also had various egg dishes, including the Eggs Benedict, basic scrambled eggs with bacon and the croissant sandwich. They were all good. We will definitely be back to visit again soon.

After a mid-day boat cruise on Lake Mead, I decided to try this restaurant after finding it on Yelp. Little did I know that it was in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel. I went in and when ther server spotted me, she said to sit wherever I wanted. The room is very nice and it's quiet compared to where I had eaten many times before when in BC. I ordered the '33 Cuban sandwich with ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard aioli served on toasted French bread. Withina short time, my sandwich came out. All sandwiches are served with fries that are seasoned very well. The sandwich was very flavorful and was just the right size for enjoying this late lunch/early dinner. The mustard served with it was food for dipping as i ate the sandwich rather than spreading it on the inside. I asked if she has a dessert menu. They do have coffee cake. There was a sign as you enter that one should try their famous coffee cake, so why not. It was very good with lots of brown sugar on top. It was a little dry, but I assume it's made for mornings with coffee rather than at the end of lunchtime as a dessert, I already have plans to bring a friend here for lunch. I'm surew she'll enjoy the food and the surroundings of this historic hotel opened in 1933 when Hoover Dam was being built.

Easter Sunday Brunch 2026. Not the traditional Ham, eggs and hot cross buns, but we enjoyed it. Servers were friendly and food arrived fast. More details in the captions under each picture. We will go back soon and try their regular menu which looks great!

This restaurant never disappoints!! Easter Brunch was outstanding! Service-perfect, the staff works well together , my coffee cup refilled right on time. The pastry chef makes a number of from scratch items. My favorite is the lemon (round cup) pie!!! Thanks for a memorable brunch.

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. We also tried the fried okra and potato salad. The okra was amazing; crispy and delicious. The potato salad was just okay for me and a little bland, but I'm from the north, so I know everyone makes potato salad differently depending on the region. Overall, Fox Smokehouse BBQ was a great stop with delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming hometown vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you're near Boulder City.

This review is based on three separate visits and each visit's order was for two people (i.e. two…read moremeals). Wait Time: Between all three visits, there was an average wait time of 20-30 minutes. When we arrived to the window to pay on our first visit, we were told to take a lap around the drive-thru and that our order would be ready upon our return. It turned out we arrived to the window and waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. Order: With the wait time in mind, please remember that Rome wasn't built in a day--so don't expect a quality meal to be ready within five minutes. With that being said, we ordered the 1). double cheeseburger with fries, 2). crispy chicken sandwich with fries, 3). fish and chips, 4). chicken tenders, 5). a strawberry shake, and 6). a chocolate shake between our three visits. The quality across all three visits was consistent and detailed here: 1). The Double Cheeseburger was cooked to our doneness preference. The bun was toasted with light butter and a slight crunch to the bite. The patties were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheese was evenly melted on the patties. The condiments did not overpower the patties' flavor. The toppings were the standard lettuce, tomato, and onions--which worked harmoniously with the rest of the burger, making for one of the best burgers I have ever had. Upon first glance, it meets my expectations of what a burger should be. 2). Much like the Double Cheeseburger, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was of excellent quality. All of its components worked collectively to deliver in flavor and texture, including the toasted bun with the slight crunch. It was a perfect Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3). The Fries were flavorful (fry seasoning, salt), crinkle cut, and evenly fried throughout (i.e. you did not have some hard pieces and some soggy pieces). We recommend a side of ranch for dipping. 4). The Fish and Chips were your standard Fish and Chips--and I mean that in the best way. They were fried until the classic golden and served with tartar sauce. Again, everything you would expect out of Fish and Chips. 5). While the Chicken Tenders were good, they were not outstanding. We would not order them again due to the other superior items on the menu. 6). The Strawberry Shake was flavored with fresh strawberries and like the Chicken Tenders, it was not outstanding. The Chocolate Shake was a classic Chocolate Shake. If you are craving a shake, then go for it. Otherwise, there isn't anything that would separate these shakes from another good quality shake. Both shakes leaned toward a thicker consistency. Note: The medium sized shakes are huge. If we ever get one again in the future, we will order a small instead. Service: We felt welcomed during each visit and did not feel rushed at the intercom (all three of our visits were through the drive-thru). Prior to visiting, we were unsure of what to expect with the mixed reviews and ultimately decided that we would just find out for ourselves. We are so grateful that we made the choice to try Chilly Jilly'z, because it is now one of our favorite spots in Southern Nevada. We definitely recommend that you give it a try!

The Chicken Shack (Don't harass people please)…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: 4/5 - So, one of my family was feeling a little bit hungry and wanted to try this place in Boulder City for some food. I wasn't feeling too hungry after Last Stop Travel Center, but I ordered something anyway. - The inside was, to be honest, pretty calm. It was a bit dirty, but not to the point of it being really bad. - Not many people, a little empty but not bad. - It also has weird answers from famous figures on the immortal question of why did the chicken cross the road. Some of them like Lennon and Nixon are not good people. Service: 5/5 - Service was pretty good. They were nice and answered my question when I asked if free refills were a thing allowed (they were). Prices: 4/5 - I forgot to get a picture of the prices, but it is indeed a bit expensive, but they are much more fairly balanced than Last Stop (and don't charge $8 for a Hotdog). Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. Overall: 5/5 Stars Final Thoughts: For my first time eating at a Chicken Shack, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered some food. This honestly feels like a completely different experience from Last Stop, and I wish this was the stop where we went to eat originally. Although I will admit there is no gas station (at least that I could see), if your passing through Boulder City, you should make this your last stop instead.

I recently dined at your restaurant, and one of the employees informed me that discounts are offered only to veterans, not to individuals with other statuses, such as active duty personnel. This practice seems unfair. I was also told that this is based on your policy. If the reasoning behind your promotion is budget limitations, I would like to ask what type of support or consideration you provide for both former and current service members, especially since both have made sacrifices to serve this country. I do not see a meaningful distinction between the two groups in this regard.

I finally had the chance/time to stop in here & check this place out!!!…read more When my mother was in her early 20's she worked @ an A&W joint so I had asked her "Ma, what is good?" & she told me "the burgers." As much as I wanted to grab a fried chicken sandwich I went with a Papa burger. I found it to taste very salty but I'm also one who doesn't add salt to my food. The french fries were good but I didn't like the ketchup, it definitely wasn't Heinz....lol I did get some honey mustard to dip my fries in & they had Heinze packets & that didn't taste good either, it had a strong vinegar taste to it. Of course I had to get a Rootbeer float but watch out guys because there must be some secret to drinking it without it foaming up & the rootbeer spilling all out the glass & onto the counter/table. This happened to me as soon as I put my straw in the cool, glass A&W mug. I started chugging it down as if I was in a drinking contest trying to get it to stop from overflowing. I made a mess on the counter in the process. My friend had the same problem & while we were sitting in the dining room area this elderly couple had it happen to both of them & then this guy who was by himself. I then saw a young boy with a float & thought OMG its going to happen to him too!! It was actually entertaining to watch people drink their floats but this boy must of been a professional....lol I watched him & he first slowly pushed the scoop of ice cream down into the glass & started to eat that with a spoon, it wasn't really touching the soda and then he slowly put his straw in & started to drink away with no over flowing......I can't tell you the last time I had a soda (I don't drink soda anymore) but coming here I just had to have an A&W float.....This drink should come with instructions.....lol The decor inside is super cute & I even got some random lady to take a picture of me with the A&W bear. Someone was cleaning the restrooms when we got there so they were clean. Even saw some guy come to empty the change out of the PacMan machine. The guy taking our order @ the counter seemed a little slow & confused. My friend had placed her order & told him that she would be paying for our other friend when he asked "is this all together?" I told him I was separate. After my friend put his order in the kid was asking me what I wanted, I had to remind him I was separate. Once you have paid for your meal you get a pole with a # on it that you bring back to your table. Our meals came out quick. It's a pick up after yourself dining area. I'd definitely come back for the Rootbeer float challenge & see if I can drink it without it spilling....I'd like to try out their fried chicken sandwich or tenders (I'll have to bring my own dipping sauce) & an ice cream cone. I did find their prices to be expensive but I liked how you could get a rootbeer float as your drink in the meal combo. My burger was big & my whole meal had me feeling full and I was having trouble finishing the burger. I'll be back!
