Honestly this place is mid as mid can be when it comes to the food. The food is fresh but the freshest food in the world isn't gonna be good if there's no seasoning or flavor going on, it's like every meal on the menu has been tailored for 98 year old white people and it's Boulder City so honestly that may just be the case. INSANELY greasy and oily also. I was genuinely sopping up all the oil and grease with handfuls of napkins on my fried catfish. And there's quite a wait for the food on top of that. Overall just not worth at all. My gfs burger/fries were bland and my catfish/slaw/fries were pretty bland too. There's literally no salt or pepper or any seasoning going on here. The ice cream and custard and stuff is good. Just consider this place a dessert place only and you'll be better off and you also won't be waiting 30+ mins for a burger that's less good than the quarter pounders at McDonald's across the street UPDATE: yup, yall served at least some time of fried fish, at least for a time. We had family visiting from out of the country and had lunch here while exploring Boulder City. This place only has either a walk-up counter or drive-thru window with plenty of outdoor tables for dining. The woman at the counter was very friendly and patient even though it seemed like she was the only person working there at the time. We had the Best Dam Panini which had top sirloin, provolone cheese, topped with BBQ sauce & coleslaw w/ fries and 3-pc chicken tenders. We couldn't decide on the dipping sauce so we asked for both thousand island and ranch. The sandwich was really good and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. However, the tenders could use some more seasoning and a little dry. I wouldn't mind going back there to try other items on the menu the next time I'm in that area. Nice hole in the wall cafe in Boulder City. They do have a restroom on the right side of the building but had to flag a worker down to ask. Took a very long time to get someone to the window to order but she said it's because we "pushed it wrong", that we needed to push it hard on the bottom enough so that we heard it ring outside. Maybe put a sign explaining that? Nonetheless, decent food except the chicken is very dry. Ranch is excellent. Such a cute spot in Boulder City! Auntie loves the soft serve and my kids are obsessed with the Cookie Monster ice cream flavor, definitely a hit for the whole family. The root beer float and pineapple floats are so good too. We actually stopped by because the hot dog lady across the street told us this place is owned by her daughter, so of course we had to come support and we love supporting local like this. We have not tried the food yet but will definitely be back to check it out next time. Now it is another one of our go to spots whenever we stop by the VA cemetery nearby. Had to give this a 3 star for now because 1 item was an absolute 5 star and the other, 1 star so just hear me out (til our next visit) I've lived in Vegas for over 20 yrs so over time I've seen this place during travels and finally tired it. When we got there you couldn't go inside and it was drive thru or walk-up window only. Not sure if it's always like that or not. So we decided to do drive thru because it was over 100 degrees outside. The young lady on the intercom was nice and it was easy to place our order. They cook to order so (be patient) we waited in the drive thru for about 10mins but it was all good w/ us because the food was hot and fresh. Their chocolate yogurt machine is constantly down. We had the vanilla only (they didn't bother suggesting that we could have chocolate sauce), and it doesn't taste the same as it used to. This is a one stop shop for all your cravings. I used to live in Boulder City many years ago and this place wasn't here cause if it was I would have been coming here often. Our visit was a while back and I just had to have one of their delicious Dole Whips. One of the tastiest around. They offer so much more like sandwiches, salads, smoothies, broasted chicken, shakes, frozen yogurt. This place can easily satisfy the whole family. If you have never tried their broasted chicken, it's a must. Broasted chicken is cooked by marinating the chicken in spices then it is placed in a pressure cooker. It makes the meat so juicy and flavorful. I love that they don't begin to cook the chicken until you order. Plenty of seating and parking is also easy. Interior is large and can hold quite a few people. They are also offering brunch on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and dinner on Saturday nights right next door at The Patio. Service is always friendly and helpful. When in big Boulder City, be sure to stop here especially on an ultra hot day. You will leave feeling cool and comfortable. read more

This review is based on three separate visits and each visit's order was for two people (i.e. two meals). Wait Time: Between all three visits, there was an average wait time of 20-30 minutes. When we arrived to the window to pay on our first visit, we were told to take a lap around the drive-thru and that our order would be ready upon our return. It turned out we arrived to the window and waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. Order: With the wait time in mind, please remember that Rome wasn't built in a day--so don't expect a quality meal to be ready within five minutes. With that being said, we ordered the 1). double cheeseburger with fries, 2). crispy chicken sandwich with fries, 3). fish and chips, 4). chicken tenders, 5). a strawberry shake, and 6). a chocolate shake between our three visits. The quality across all three visits was consistent and detailed here: 1). The Double Cheeseburger was cooked to our doneness preference. The bun was toasted with light butter and a slight crunch to the bite. The patties were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheese was evenly melted on the patties. The condiments did not overpower the patties' flavor. The toppings were the standard lettuce, tomato, and onions--which worked harmoniously with the rest of the burger, making for one of the best burgers I have ever had. Upon first glance, it meets my expectations of what a burger should be. 2). Much like the Double Cheeseburger, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich was of excellent quality. All of its components worked collectively to deliver in flavor and texture, including the toasted bun with the slight crunch. It was a perfect Crispy Chicken Sandwich. 3). The Fries were flavorful (fry seasoning, salt), crinkle cut, and evenly fried throughout (i.e. you did not have some hard pieces and some soggy pieces). We recommend a side of ranch for dipping. 4). The Fish and Chips were your standard Fish and Chips--and I mean that in the best way. They were fried until the classic golden and served with tartar sauce. Again, everything you would expect out of Fish and Chips. 5). While the Chicken Tenders were good, they were not outstanding. We would not order them again due to the other superior items on the menu. 6). The Strawberry Shake was flavored with fresh strawberries and like the Chicken Tenders, it was not outstanding. The Chocolate Shake was a classic Chocolate Shake. If you are craving a shake, then go for it. Otherwise, there isn't anything that would separate these shakes from another good quality shake. Both shakes leaned toward a thicker consistency. Note: The medium sized shakes are huge. If we ever get one again in the future, we will order a small instead. Service: We felt welcomed during each visit and did not feel rushed at the intercom (all three of our visits were through the drive-thru). Prior to visiting, we were unsure of what to expect with the mixed reviews and ultimately decided that we would just find out for ourselves. We are so grateful that we made the choice to try Chilly Jilly'z, because it is now one of our favorite spots in Southern Nevada. We definitely recommend that you give it a try! read more

Went thru the drive thru. Very friendly service. Order the dole float. This was very delicious and refreshing and way sweet. Also ordered chicken tenders with tots and with an iced tea. These were made to order so we had to wait. Not a big deal. The tenders were huge. Lightly breaded with a little seasoning. This was so good by themselves but even better dipped in BBQ sauce. The tater tots were cook perfectly, nice and crispy BUT waaayyyy too much seasoning. Make sure u taste them before driving off. Couldn't even enjoy them with all that seasoning on them. It was cold, and delivered by someone from the kitchen who set it down and walked away. we ate it anyway because we were starving. No jams or sauces were offered for the first 15 minutes then the waitress came by and I asked for jelly and steak sauce...... we got some jelly but no steak sauce so we got to go box and bailed out of there. It's all outdoor seating which is wild for being just outside Vegas. Pray for good weather when you go or get it to go. It's not a bad local spot but it's nothing super exciting. Came here for a Cute little brunch date while we were on our way to explore Downtown Boulder city. You order at the front and the employees working there are friendly! Ordered the Canyon caprese and the best dam panini with a side of fries. My boyfriend doesn't like tomatoes on his sandwich usually but he really enjoyed the pesto with the cheese and tomatoes. Sandwiches were fresh and hot! The best dam panini had a nice layer of coleslaw which balances out the meat and bbq sauce in it. Definitely a good mix of sweet and bold sauces. Fries were good too! Crunchy and seasoned. Don't need ketchup with it at all! We spent a good 40 mins enjoying the nice 80 degrees weather and eating our food. I literally stood there for at least 5 minutes, ringing the doorbell a few times and nothing. I looked at the operating hours and, yes they were open. Although the patio area reminded me of Santorini, the ice cream was sadly underwhelming. The frozen custard tasted nothing like custard like we have back east- just a cheap watered down mix with bland toppings. It wasn't particularly cheap and I don't know that any of us were very impressed, except for maybe the children who didn't know any better. I do not. I had the privelege of visiting multiple coffee shops and restaurants in town so I obviously know what I'm talking about coming from the food tourism mecca of San Diego. TABLE! Big and clean made for 6 was perfect for me to manspread. Cholula waiting for me was an extra nice surprise as Tabasco was all I could get at other places. COFFEE! The waitress brought me butter immediately as cream ain't nothing to bother with when you have real butter. STEAK! Medium cook, so juicy. Compliments to the chef. EGGS! Over medium was perfect. Cooked just how I prefer and can never do myself. POTATOES! Always good when served crispy, not sopping with oil. I used them to eat any remaining steak juice, egg yolk and cholula. Made a reservation for Saturday Brunch. Chilly Jilly's has brunch on Sat. & Sun. Our reservation was for 10:30 and we arrived a few minutes early and immediately seated. We requested a fire pit table and were accommodated. The restaurant was half full and service was timely. I ordered the Divorced Eggs and my wife ordered chicken tenders, hash browns and refried beans. The hot tea was not piping hot and we requested more hot water for the pot and it was promptly delivered. The Divorced Eggs consist of 2 corn tortillas layered with refried beans (choice of eggs) red ranchero sauce on one side and pork chili verde on the other side. Included is a choice of home style or hash brown potatoes. I choose the home style and they worked well with the rest of the dish. This is a large tasty dish. I did not like the pork because the pieces had too much fat. Also the egg yolks were small. My wife ordered fried chicken, 2 tenders, a side of hash browns and refried beans. This was large enough to bring some home. The chicken and potatoes were crisp outside and soft inside. The refried beans were topped with melted cheese. On this day there was a guitar player that provided great background music. The fire pit had nice ambiance and some heat. The overall room temperature was cool and could have used the overhead heaters to assist because the roof is open to the outside. Overall the restaurant is worth the comfortable drive across town. They also serve dinner on Saturday and we will consider giving it a try. read more
