I just want to give a huge thank you to the team at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop! I placed a catering order very last minute, not realizing the store closed at 9:00 PM. Around 9:20 PM, I received a call from Olivia, the shift lead. She was incredibly calm, professional, and kind while explaining that she wasn't at the store and the employees working that night were fairly new and that they usually appreciate a little advance notice for catering orders. She asked whether I still wanted to move forward with the order. I told her I completely understood the situation and wouldn't be upset if they needed to cancel since it was so late and inconvenient. A little while later, Olivia called me back to let me know the catering had turned out great and that they could still deliver it if I wanted. When the order arrived, I was so impressed! Both catering boxes looked fantastic, and everything was prepared beautifully. I truly appreciate the employees who stayed late and put such care into making our order, and I especially want to thank Olivia for her outstanding customer service. I had never even heard of this place before finding it on Yelp and I don't know how that's possible! It was so hard to make a decision because all of the sandwiches sounded amazing. I decided to try the chicken cheesesteak with French fries. I don't even know if I was more impressed by the sandwich or the fries. Those fries are easily some of the best I've ever had. Thin, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. My husband and I shared the Large Fry and it was a perfect amount to share. (Although, if I'm being honest, maybe next time we'll each get our own Large, lol.) Our order was ready super fast and my sandwich was piping hot! I opted to add hot peppers too, which really sent it over the edge of deliciousness. Nice little franchise sandwich shop in the Park Road strip mall. Ambiance is pretty straightforward with concrete floors and a half dozen tables. Seems most of their business is take out. Large open-kitchen, and there had to be a half dozen friendly employees working the register and the kitchen. Their offerings can be mini, regular, or large ... so they take care of all appetites. We had a mini-turkey and mini-tuna sandwiches, both of which were very nice. The bread was soft and fresh, and the shredded turkey (4 stars) was especially nice, while the tuna (3 star) was also good. Fries were good, and we had the naked ones since we had a two-year old in tow ... but they were good and salty and we ate every one. We also tried a grilled cheese (2 stars) and that was only marked down because the grilled bread did not hold up to the cheese. All in all a nice lunch place that we'll place in our rota for next visit. read more

We've been wanting to try this spot out for lunch and finally got to this weekend. We went around lunch time and the place was completely dead. Only one table outside was sat at. The woman working the counter was very friendly and even offered to bring us our food when it was ready. I got the chicken chipotle crunch, and unfortunately it was not very good. Definitely would not recommend. My fiance got the wagyu BLT and he didn't like his either. The flavors were not there, and overall it was just a pretty bland experience. The fries were also so beer battered that they were hard to eat as well. Not sure I'd be back but they do have a lot of options, so maybe next time I'll give another sandwich a try. read more

This was my first time trying this place out. They close at 9pm and I walked in at 8:30pm. They already had all the chairs up and were mopping the floor. They said they were expected to leave by 9:15pm. I explained that it was my first time trying this place and the guy working there was very friendly and helpful. He even let me try a small sample of the meat of the sandwich I was considering. A+ for Customer service. I asked for extra black olives and he delivered. He up-sold me on a combo and I got a side salad and drink to go with it. ($19.70 total) I ordered a medium 10" Grilled Italian sandwich. You can get it warm or cold. I chose warm. The sandwich was decent, but I kinda miss all the sauces you can put on top at other places. I just got red wine vinegar and olive oil. Not alot of taste. I also like my bread toasted, not just warm. The side salad was very small but had good lettuce and cheese in it. I liked the chipotle dressing. The sodas are freely refilled via a machine yourself which is nice. I've visited a couple of locations and the service has always been excellent. The thin cut "fries" here are amazing. They're so incredibly addicting that I've thought about coming just to order them alone. Everyone should try them. Initially I was a fan of the sandwiches as well, but I noticed that their in store menus aren't split up by cold or hot sandwiches. Half the time you think you're ordered a sandwich that should be served hot it comes out as cold. Some of the American wagyu options like the "slaw be jo" for example were not appetizing when served cold. In store menu needs to be changed to reflect this primarily imo. read more

Capriotti's had good reviews and the pictures looked good so we gave it a go. Boy am I glad we picked it. We walked in and were somehow even though it was dinner time, we were the only customers in there. We quickly checked the menu and decided on what we want. We ordered and the staff were all very friendly. I paid and was a little surprised at how much it was, as two regulars and one order or fries ran me over $40. I ordered the American wagyu club, and just at first glance, I was impressed (even though I opened it upside down and it went everywhere). First bite took me to the moon. All the ingredients seemed fresh, the added peppers were nice and spicy, and every bite seemed like I got a little bit of everything. The French fries seemed like they were recently cut and fried in clean oil, not frozen or from a bag. I quickly went back on my prior apprehension regarding the price and actually was wishing I paid more for a full sized giant sub. My first time eating from Capriotti's. I heard about them when I used to live in Philly but I never ate there. It's so many places to eat in Philly so nothing strange about that. Anyway I walk in and order the Wagyu cheesesteak and I must tell you. This might've been the best beef cheesesteak that I've ever had. No joke, I usually get the chicken or a salmon cheesesteak whenever I do get the craving. After ordering it took me at least 30 mins to get home and it was still the bomb, so imagine if you sit there and eat. Everything was great about the sandwich from the bread to the meat. Amazing sandwich, I believe I got the large and it was $20. I also got the hot peppers next time I'll go a different route just to switch it up. I didn't see the type of sandwich I wanted which was turkey and roast beef but wagyu would work. I'll ask if they can make that for me next time. So I am a Capriotti's OG, having first visited the original location in Delaware over 15 years ago. Period and I've been in love with the Bobbie ever since then! I have been blessed to live in a couple of cities that have embraced the Capriotti's franchise expansion, including Phoenix, Arizona. So we were totally geeked when we found out that Capriottis was coming to Charlotte. And while this isn't the first location in Charlotte, I believe the first one is a bit farther south of us, closer to Matthews, I am glad to have a location within a five minute drive from my house. And, my first visit at this location only reminded me of how of how much I love this particular version of fast casual sandwiches. So as a quick Capriotti's primer, they are a couple of key sandwiches. You need to try out that don't exist anywhere else. First start with the famous Bobbi, which features hand pulled, turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. You can get this grilled or cold. I would recommend getting it grilled.the best explanation to describe the sandwich is Thanksgiving between two pieces of bread. If you like turkey and stuffing, and I mean the old school stove top Stouffer stuff, this is definitely the sandwich for you. The next must try sandwich is the capastrami, which is their take on the pastrami. Another can't miss sandwich that you won't find on any other menu. Now, if you are absolutely hell-bent on eating, something familiar, look no further than their cheesesteak, and their French dip sandwich. While the cheesesteak that I ordered from this location tasted a bit different from versions that I've had in previous locations, my guess is that it is likely driven by their addition of Wagyu beef to the menu, which was not part of the original menu when I first started patronizing them years ago. That said, the waygu beef is good and the overall sandwich is still an authentic Philly cheesesteak. Similar to the cheesesteak, the French dip is packed full of tender steak slices. In addition, you get a cup of aus jus on the side. I have not had this sandwich in a while but I really enjoyed it as well. Overall, this is a great addition to the park road shopping center. And as an added bonus, I wasn't aware that the Babe and Butcher location was already open. I noticed it while I was visiting Capriotti's. Just gives me another reason to head back to the Park Road shopping center soon! read more

Our family loves the Capriotti's menu and brand, having grown up with it in the northeast. We were extremely happy to see it open up close to home. The three stars here is because of the STAFF continuously making errors on our orders. Every time there is some type of mistake and at the price point of Capriottis I expect every item to be what we ordered. For the price I pay at the sandwich shop I should be getting full service. There should be a waiter. I should have someone checking to make sure my drink is full anything more than as the service is just not on the level that it needs to be for the cost to eat here. I've been to the Capriotti's on Steele Creek multiple times & the service and food is always great so I figured this location would be just as good. I was deeply mistaken. When I walked in, I was greeted by a young child who I realized was the cashiers son. I didn't realize she was a cashier because she was wearing yoga pants, a crop top, and a pink bonnet at work. Then a man walked up behind her, the cook, with playing music loudly from his phone and talking while we were giving our order. There were wet rags beside the drink dispenser. The entire time he made our food, he was playing music from his phone, loudly singing along. While we waited on our food, the cashier was yelling back and forth through the restaurant with her son and he was running back and forth from inside the kitchen in the back to the seating area. Once she passed us our food she yelled, "Happy Cinco De Mayo, see a shot, take a shot" which felt very unprofessional and it was surprising to me compared to the other establishments. Food was okay. I think I may have found a new favorite chain! Founded in Delaware, Capriotti's is not a chain that I was previously familiar with. When they first announced the opening of this location at the Park Road Shopping Center, I noticed it was getting some buzz, as a lot of people who have tried it swore by it. On a Wednesday evening I found myself in the area looking for a quick bite and it seemed like the perfect time to stop by. The restaurant is fast casual and you order at the register. They have a variety of subs from your more traditional deli subs, to your hot cheesesteaks, to some of their own unique creations. I ordered the chipotle chicken crunch without tomatoes. The chicken was very savory and the chipotle ranch had great flavor. It also had a good amount of cheesiness. What really took it to the next level were the crispy cheddar onions. They gave it some extra cheesy taste along with a delightful crunch. All in all it was one of the best subs I've had in a long time, especially one from a chain, as chains can vary in quality based on the location. It is a worthy competitor to other favorites like Jersey Mike's, and I think it is absolutely worth driving a bit out of your way to find a location if you can. As for this location I can vouch that the food is great and so is the service. read more

I have seen many amazing post on social media and was eager to try Capriotti's for lunch. I decided to steer away from the traditional Philly cheesesteak since there are several sandwich shops in town now that offer them and decided to with something a little unique for April, the hot Bobbie. It's essentially a Thanksgiving themed (leftovers) sub. Pros: There are three main pros for Capriotti's at the moment: service, price point/value, and restaurant design/cleanliness (note: they are somewhat newly opened). The staff all seemed friendly and helpful, even clarified if I wanted a hot or cold Bobbie. Price point/value is slightly better than some competitors in town (cough cough: Cheat's). Opportunities: While I know the sando is intended to be a nod to Thanksgiving, I think the turkey was more popular on the Thanksgiving table as there was not much leftover for my sandwich, and the bread was almost leaning towards stale and ready to be made into Thanksgiving croutons. Overall, a little dry, much like many thanksgivings, thanks to ample stuffing and less than great quality bread. There would be a benefit to the shop to have a higher quality roll or even fresher rolls. I would return for a second try, yet possibly go the route of trying another sandwich menu item! We had been trying to find time to try this place so ordered two subs for pickup. Soon after I arrived the Manager began verbally assaulting his coworker. It was loud and sustained and everyone in the restaurant heard it. I finally asked him to stop as he was becoming more and more agitated and animated as it went on.
