When I tell you that if you're in the area, you NEED to eat at this restaurant, I mean it. It's very casual dining -- you order at the front and they bring the food out to your table -- but everything is farm-to-table, and the food was so fresh and delicious. Everything came out super fast, and me and my friends ended up splitting a bunch of different items so we could try more of the menu. We started with the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer, which was honestly the only slightly disappointing thing we had. It just felt like it could have used a little more sauce and flavor. We also shared a spring salad that was super fresh, flavorful, and really good as well. For our meals, we both got the Mediterranean chicken plates. I had the strawberries as one of my sides along with the rigatoni, which the employee taking my order actually recommended to me. He was so kind and helpful since it was my first time there, and his recommendations were spot on. We also got Greek frozen yogurt for dessert. My friends and I came here on a busy Friday for lunch. There was a line outside the door but it went pretty fast. You order your food first then get seated. Staff were able to get us a table right away as well because we chose to sit outside. Although it was hot that day, they have a giant fan and misters outside. The food was delicious. I got the blue burger and garlic fries. I really liked the potato buns and burger patty. The buns were toasted perfectly and the patty had flavor. The garlic fries were great and had a lot of flavor, but I myself prefer fresh chopped garlic instead of fried garlic. My bf ordered the tri tip sandwich, which we were pleasantly surprised that it was tri tip within a burger instead of just a tri tip sandwich. We finally brave the line with another couple to try heirloom for the first time the other day. Seeing a 4.6 star review average with 3000 reviews I expected a tremendous experience. Actually, I found it to be less enjoyable than I expected. Don't get me wrong. Food was good. Steaks cooked perfectly, salads were delicious and the Greek yogurt with baklava and honey was probably the best dessert I've had in years. Simple but delicious. All in all, I would say the food was four stars. The service left nothing to be desired. It seemed there was always somebody nearby more than willing to help and anything we asked about or needed. Definitely a five star part of the experience. The downside was confusion. So much was going on around us, which began with ordering at the counter and receiving food when it came that it took away from the dining enjoyment. It was very noisy and we had to almost shout to converse at our table, so I would say the ambience was two stars. I felt uncomfortable through the meal. I rounded up a bit to four stars due to the friendliness, helpfulness and availability of the weight staff. They were all wonderful. Wow oh wow this place is hands down one of the best places to eat in Fresno. I really wish they had a location in Sacramento because I would easily be their number one customer. The food is just that good. Their boneless fried chicken with fried rice is so stinking good. And don't even get me started on the surf and turf or their yogurt cups. I also love their artichokes and I'm so happy they're in season again. What really stands out though is the service. As always food and service are great! I do recommend getting there early afternoon for a quicker service. I went with my friends at around 4:30pm on a Tuesday and the line was barely out the door. However, when we left, the line curved all around the outside of the restaurant, and I have noticed this is very common from all of the times that I've gone. The later it gets, the longer the line. The line always moves quickly because you order as soon as you walk in and then they seat you. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area has heaters which is a nice touch. I ordered the boneless fried chicken, it comes with your choice of two sides. I chose the fried rice and the market greens. The rice has such a great flavor to it, it is delicious and probably my favorite side. The market greens are nice and sautéed with a nice kick to them. The boneless fried chicken which were basically two giant chicken tenders were okay. The coating on the chicken was very thick, but had a nice flavor to it. I do wish the chicken itself would have had more flavor to it. For my drink I tried their pom passion beverage. It was very refreshing and tasted so good. I really loved that it wasn't overly-sweet, it had just the right amount of sweetness to it. You could definitely taste the pomegranate. Heirloom 10/10 like always. Heirloom is Fresno's hottest and most popular restaurant! They were rated number 50 on Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. Heirloom is a trendy farm to table restaurant that is serving up great eats and is always packed. I'd passed by here a handful of times and every time the line was 20-30 people deep and this deterred me from trying them sooner. I have managed to come on weekdays when the line is minimal and it's worked out great. The interior is very welcoming and I love that they have a wall of herbs on display while you're standing in line to order. I also love that they have an open kitchen and you're able to see the food being prepared right in front of you. I've been here a couple of times and have gotten my food to go and it's been amazing! The shrimp teppanyaki rice is so good and full of flavor. The fried rice contains bacon, peas, carrot, scallion and it's topped with a generous amount of crispy fried shrimp and teppan sauce. I also tried the ancho crusted tri-tip with fried rice and market greens. This dish was absolutely delicious and will probably be my go-to meal. The tri-tip was cooked to perfection and was melt in your mouth tender. It had such great flavor and while it was moist and didn't need sauce it went great paired with the ponzu sauce. The fried rice was yummy as usual. The market greens were amazing as well and punched you in the face with flavor. The market greens are sauteed with garlic, lemon, shoyu and olive oil. Both times I have gotten my meals to go and they travel extremely well and are packed nicely. Overall Heirloom is a must try when in the Fresno area and even worth making a special trip for. The service is always efficient and professional as well. My favorite thing to order are the plates with the option of 2 sides. I usually order the 1/2 lemon roasted chicken with a side of sweet potato with tzatziki sauce and a cold wedge salad. The portions are worth the price and the food is always fresh and delicious. Came with a few friends and had a great experience! We were first invited to the bar and the server was very kind and helpful. We unfortunately had to get back in line as a few more friends were joining us but the server understood! We ordered at the cashier spot and explained we'd have friends joining us. My love for Heirloom has not changed since my last review-- never a bad experience! I'm here to rave about the Fig Pizza and the Corn Ravioli that my friend and I got today... absolutely phenomenal. Both of these are seasonal so when they are on the menu-- it is A MUST for us to go. If you haven't already, you might have to wait for the next round because I think they're switching out the menu again soon. Ugh *crying*... The Corn Ravioli was the reason for going today but the star of the meal (to me) was the Fig Pizza (which we didn't expect to see on the specials). While the wait seems inconvenient, time flew by and workers come by to check in on patrons waiting in line. Quick FYI this is a no pet facility, so ensure non service animals stay home. The first time I went to Heirloom, I enjoyed their dishes such as the mushroom taquitos and their buttersquash ravioli. However, while the seasonal roasted chicken was so so, the polenta underneath the chicken tasted best. Now my second time at Heirloom, I have to say I was not impressed with their food this time around. Their carbonara pasta and the shrimp scampi was cooked too al dente. The pozole which is seasonal and you should request a few extra slices of lime if you are a fan to really get the best flavor. The line was long when we arrived but it went fairly fast and they don't allow you to enter and order without being sure a table is available for you. Before we left we couldn't help but try the berry bliss frozen yogurt topped with fresh blackberries and blueberries. It was light not necessarily sweet but with the toppings it was the perfect size to split 3 ways. I was grateful for the order kiosk ran by the Heirloom staff and the suggestions they gave. To start off, we tried the seasonal Honeycrisp Apple Kombucha, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect fizzy fall treat.
